Shared a booth outside which was nice and cosy for 3 people. Good food and great service. It was a little cold but before we could ask the heaters came on and it was beautiful !! Did not want to leave. Be back for sure !!

Intimate experience for audience being close to the stage. Short 10 minute walk from Central train station. Suggest booking as sessions get sold out.
Have seen a few plays here and they’ve all been really well-produced with incredible actors. I love the versatility of the stage for different productions. All the staff are also very friendly!

Great location. Loved seeing Saplings.
DQ has plenty of great restaurants and spaces to sit and relax. Such a beautiful space yet so close to the CBD. They also hold plenty of events throughout the year - the open air cinema in January is fantastic for all ages - and free! Plenty of good facilities for the kids too! Definitely a must visit for locals and tourists alike.
Just saw Tiddas yesterday. We have not been able to stop talking about it. It was brilliant. Brilliantly written. Brilliantly performed. Brilliantly directed. So glad we got to see this wonderful show. Please pass on our comments to the cast as they were amazing.
I came here a short while ago to watch Into the Woods, an entertaining play performed by skilled actors. The facilities and architecture of Belvoir St Theatre are commendable, while the staff are kind and welcoming. My overall experience here was amazing and I was immensely impressed by the performance of Into the Woods. I highly recommend a visit to the Belvoir St Theatre if you are seeking an engaging and grand theatrical experience.

Amazing place, I went there on a school trip and it was so much fun, We got to learn about costume designs and we also got to go eat out in front of the harbour bridge but my favourite part was when we went into a massive theatre and we got to act and read scripts , I wish I could go there to take acting classes and workshops there all the time and not just for a day .
The atmosphere is so nice, beautiful lights at night. It's great for taking photos.

Been a long time since we were last in a Belvoir audience but this Billy Holiday tribute show was exceptional, truly do not miss

Small intimate theatre space. Downside is limited seating in the small foyer - they need to let patrons into the theatre more than 10 minutes before the show to avoid overcrowding in the foyer.
Cute theatre with a very personal vibe, could do with some minor renovations. Great intro by an Agatha Christie biographer and good set of actors. Will be back! Thank you!
A small intimate theatre with lovely staff. Probably uncomfortable when crowded, but it was quiet during my visit and eminently pleasant. Remarkably reasonable prices too.
The theatre is elegant with fine viewing lines and good sound quality. There is very good legroom too. The stairs are somewhat vertiginous though and the bars are squashed.
This intimate little theatre right in the heart of Sydney is an absolute gem.

This discreet theatre shows classy and highly entertaining shows which I enjoyed every minute of. Recently I watched Miss Peony and the energy of the whole play was electrifying. I loved it and I definitely want to watch more from here.
I purchased 8 tickets for a play in June. 3 people couldn't come due to COVID infection. The Theatre box office approved the refund eventually but I didn't get it for more than 2.5 months. I rang and left a message multiple times, sent emails, received delayed replies stating that refund will be issued. My last email from 2 weeks ago has been ignored. I am still hopeful.
Such a great place and the play we saw was so good. The actors were veterans and perfect.
There's parking at the nearby Wilson garages (get the app which gives good discounts and easy tap in and tap out) , but there are also 4 hour meters right outside. The local restaurants have theatre special menus (we went to Jounieh - recommended). Artsy patrons of course, so wear your most outlandish gear. Intermission is a bit of a disaster and slow to return - maybe drink heavily before the show so you only have one queue - for the toilet. Easy exit at the end and off you go in your close-by car. Public transport haven, this isn't. Oh, and there will be a play which probably will be fabulous dahling.
We had a great time. The seating is comfortable, there's food and drinks available and it even has a restaurant attached. All in all, it's a great place, wonderful staff
Had an absolutely incredible night at Great Comet. Performers were such a privilege to watch, with them singing, dancing, acting and literally live playing musical instruments!! (I never knew so many people could play the accordion LOL)

Surprisingly small theatre makes any show an intimate experience. The staff are welcoming and hospitable. Bar staff are fun and know their wine menu well. For wine lovers, I recommend the Here & Now Sav B and the Robert Oatley Chardonnay. I'd 100% come back to any show playing here.
Great theatre just a pity the security didn't act to remove a drunk/drugged man causing people to leave and disrupting the enjoyment of the show. Management stood by and did nothing. Only after the show did security turn up for a very soft discussion with the offender.
The Roslyn packer theatre has got to be the benchmark in theatre seating layout design .
The chairs are comfortable aligned just so the person in front of you doesn't block your view, the seating & leg room+foot room is very generous and ensures for a comfortable stay / performance. Unfortunately only negative point is no drink/cup/wine holders for drinks from the bar.
I thought the sound and lighting was excellent for the performance I saw.

Excellent theatre for setting shows. All seats have great viewing and easy access.
We've seen some great performances that have been sensibly priced from this theatre in the past

Great small intimate venue. Beautiful building and small touches like having the programme on your seat when you arrive adds to the whole experience. Friendly, helpful staff
Always a great night but current production 'A Streetcar named Desire' is 10/10!

A great little theatre has a variety of shows. It's great to see Australian made work having such support and promotion within our community. The seating sits about 105 semi-thrust, semi- in-the-round staging. Shows are general admission so I would advise that stand near the theatre door to get a good seat. I've been to a few shows where they have 'oversold' the production and asked patrons to squish up. A small inconvenience to pay for quality Australian made work. However, it's something to keep in mind. There's also a good selection at the bar and lovely staff.
Well utilised small space for live performances. Bar serves non alcphplic adult drinks. Seats quite comfortable
Streetcar was a great production. Thoroughly enjoyed it. We might perform it at Maitland Repertory Theatre.
Great Australian plays by new and emerging playwrights. Lots of late night eateries nearby for before and after the theatre. Easy public transport access from Kings Cross Station. We saw “UFO” which had an amazing set with marionettes echoing the actors movement and voices - it was side splitting funny - delving into theatre of the absurd. By buying 3-4 play subscriptions tickets come out at $35 each. If you are interested in theatre and modern performance Griffin Theatre is right for your evenings out.
A hidden treasure. I had never been to this theatre before and it is lovely. It is small but with great seats and a lovely lounge in front serving drinks. My wife said her cocktail was actually strong which is rare these days. The show we saw about Bette Midler was incredibly good. We will surely be back!

A playground suitable for all ages. There’s water and sensory play. Slides for toddlers, bigger kids and zip lines. It’s accessible by public transport or by car you can park for $20 all day. Lots of eateries near by and of course the infamous Harry cafe de wheels! My favourite place to eat delicious pies and hot dogs! On weekends, the park draws in children and it can be extremely busy. There’s enough space for everyone to move around and take turns on the play equipment. The only let down is that being a very busy public space, there should be signs of contact numbers to call or rangers nearby to provide assistance to any injured children.

First time we saw a play at the Roslyn packer theater. The performance of The Room was spectacular which was part of the Sydney festival. Parking was relatively straightforward although I didn’t see a place to charge my electric vehicle. And actually I did see a place but it was locked behind a chain-link fence. There are some restaurants at the local wharfs. I look forward to seeing future performances here.
Such an amazing place to be, had been exploring around the area with family. Seen a lot of parents and kids tourist and holiday maker. Great features and view also restaurants.
I have been living in the area for couple of years and finally had chance to watch a play in this theatre. It’s a small venue, very cozy and I look forward to visibly it again.
A great venue for theatre and other live shows. Conveniently located in Darlinghurst with ample street parking. There are many stairs in this venue, so be prepared to walk.. there is a lift but it’s put side for those who need it. There’s a bar at the venue with many good drink options, food options are limited and packets of chips or pies are on the menu. Service staff are friendly and supportive.. venue is dimly lit with a great ambiance
Enjoyed the relaxing venue and surrounding area at Darling Harbour. Plenty of seating, live entertainment, table tennis, restaurants, relaxing scenery close to the harbour and even closer to the swimming precinct for ankle high paddlers, large grass areas, also convention and Sydney entertainment centres located close by especially the Convention Centre. The light rail services the area.
After 20+ hours in the air we landed and arrived to our hotel. They recommend we head to the Darling Quarter for food and a place for the kids to “be kids”. The play area here is awesome. The water feature stood out with it gates, dams, pumps and more all controlled by kids. Slides that used a “hill” instead of a ladder. A zip line and slack rope are also here. After an hour of play we ate and went on our way. The next we returned and the kids once again had a great time.

Wonderful theatre company for kids. Great interactive workshops with very experienced and caring teachers.
Finally, after all entertainment being in hiatus, a wonderful evening, ONCE. (And months ago, a CABARET SHOW). We loved both, especially tonight.

Hi Carol Utens - I must have made the same whatever odd error just as you did, but they instantly sorted out a refund when I managed to purchase 4 tickets, instead of 2. As you said there was some kind of error and buttons not responding. BUT try again, it is a cozy theatre and pub full of character and abuzz with enthusiasm, a grand atmosphere, and THE CRIPPLE OF INIS MAAN was so well done I could so easily have spat the dummy and not gone - but I loved every minute of it. Great play! Parking across the street. Too easy.
Consistently great productions. Independent theatre at its finest. Attached to a great old-style pub with good feeds and bar selection. Open fire in the winter!
The Darlinghurst Theatre Company is a beautiful old theatre with a very contemporary interior. The facilities inside are modern and fresh. The foyer is quite large and has a cool bar where you can purchase alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. The theatre itself is not very big but the seats are very spacious and comfortable.

I wanted to order 3 tickets online for the magic show, which was great!
But the website, to order tickets, gave an error and said to try it again, so I did, I received and paid for 6. Till this day I never got my money back, even after sending numerous mails & calls.

What a wonderful and intimate little theatre with seating virtually on the stage, not for those who fear catching the actors eyes! As far as I could see no seat was a bad seat but he aware they are bench seats (with backs) so on a busy night you could be cramped together and it might feel rather tight, not an issue for us the night we went.
The stage is upstairs and I didn't see a lift so that could be an issue for people with mobility issues.
Not much seating in the bar area so most people has to stand whilst having drinks, our play didn't have an interval so it was only an issue for before the show. Seats are not allocated so if you want to sit somewhere in particular you need to get in to the space fast. But as I say it looks like all seats are good so, for me, that wouldn't be an issue at all.
Drinks at the bar were reasonably priced with wine and beer, and if you put them into plastic glasses you can take them in to the theatre with you.
They sell a very limited amount of sweets, snakes I saw, and crisps. Annoyingly they allow crisps into the theater and some people munched during the performance, why would any theatre allow this as its very off putting for the audience and actors? That was my only grumble as in all other ways it was a total pleasure.
As I am UK based I shan't get many opportunities to go but if I am ever in the area again I will book another night out with them. Great show, nice theatre.

My husband and I see over 100 independent theatre productions every year. We visit all the inner city venues regularly, and without a doubt Red Line is the most consistent- every play is a winner: well done, well acted and most importantly REALLY entertaining!

Saw my first play here and it was amazing. Hadn’t heard much about this theatre so wasn’t sure what to expect but thoroughly enjoyed my evening. Actors and actresses were great and the theatre itself has a lot of character!
A beautiful theatre for an awesome show. We came for The Mystery of Love and Sex and we enjoyed both the show and the atmosphere of this place. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the start to the end, engaging and enthusiastic. An excellent example of great customer service. I would definitely go back in the future for various plays.
A great place for young people to learn and grow through expression and storytelling. It's a small theatre with changeable seating allowing the performances freedom to express their stories however they like.
