Blijft een leuk park, enkel de mini en 2m nieuwe platen/toplaag geven, deze zijn aan het inzakken, kan pijnlijk en gevaarlijk worden moest een wieltje daar in blijven zitten.
Je hoort het krakken als je er over rijd.
Voor de rest, sfeer zit er goed.

De ramps zijn heel oud en slecht mijn skateboard ging kapot door de ramos het personeel is onvriendelijk en lelijk het is meer gemaakt voor steppers dan voor skaters echt slecht voor de rest

"Skatehouse", located next to the DIY skatepark of Mechelen (Douaneplein) is a combination of many things. First of all, it's a nice skateshop, run by skaters with a love for the sport and with an interest for motorcycles (and yes, they have motorcycles on offer too if you are interested). Secondly they are kind of a skateboard school aimed at kids & adults alike. Decks and gear are also for rent if you are totally new to the sport. Thirdly, they have an excellent bar with a nice variety of beverages and snacks (incl small meals if you need to refuel). The bar has a lounge on the first floor, offering an excellent view on the skatepark and the indoor miniramp (in the shop: nice). This is particulary interesting for parents who want to keep an eye on their junior-Tony-Hawks while enjoying the hospitality which Skatehouse has on offer. All services come with a smile: you feel really welcome from the moment you step inside. Skatehouse is one of the best hangouts for skate enthousiasts in the Benelux.
