Incredible museum- I was there in the first place. The park, the nature the day was on the bright side. A quite good collection to see at a museum incredible for a free entrance museum that compensated the imbalance in art objects but to find a bust of emperor Trajan and few others artefacts Greek and Egyptian is astounding. Also the porcelain collection is impressive but manufacturing/technical artefacts could deserve a floor of their own.

Lovely park. Interesting statues and lovely blossom at the moment. Cafe unfriendly though, preventing chairs from being taken outside when not enough out there and not being used inside!

Beautiful place to walk.
The ship Mercator is anchored not far away and the center of Ostend is just across this beautiful park.

Sehr schöner kleiner Park mitten in Oostende. Hier finden auch hin und wieder Veranstaltungen statt, wie Konzerte oder Weihnachtsmarkt.

Neat and tidy park. Nice to visit when in the area. On the little island you will often find a small exhibition. Check the city calendar as they sometimes do concerts there as well.

All in all very pleasant to walk through and not too busy. Area is clean as well.
Mooi park om te wandelen. Er mochten we meer beelden in staan. Ze staan allemaal vooraan, achteraan niets meer

Cool in the summer, lots of trees and benches to sit on. Has a great onsite restaurant which makes a great salad nicoise.
Im a dog owner and it's a real shame that this park is just full of dog poo. These other dog owners should be ashamed of themselves but they are clearly not. It would otherwise be a great little park. At night it fills up with alcoholics and sometimes junkies so could benefit from better lighting. Another example of why we can't have nice things.

If you like to walk in nature but not fare from Oostende centrum then this is a nice and quiet park . You can also have your children there for a miniatuur golf or playground with several air structures. There are also boats to go on the lake. As also a restaurant where you have toilet.
You will can enjoy several lake's in the park and if you walk a normal walk pace you can go around the park in pox. 1 hour 30 minutes. There are several pat in this park and mature trees and plants. You will have a healthy walk and no stress doing as also a good place to go with your dog ,dogs.

Beautiful public park in Ostend. It extends on an open large area with a beautiful lake and panoramic views in each part. Green over the year.

A perfect park. for walks for recreation picnic. Although in winter there is not much beyond that, but still a recommended place. In the summer the place is active and bustling and there are more attractions. There are many paths to walk and the park area is very large.

A great museum. Somehow its much bigger on the inside than it looks. The lower exhibits showcase ancient items found in communities around the museum.
A wonderful environment in the woods for walks inbetween beautiful waterscapes and nature! Try not to lose your way :)

There's also a nice restaurant/cafe to have delicious meals while resting. Their shrimp was a treat!

Nice parc to walk around and enjoy the weather. A few romantic spot with bridges, a kiosk, statues. Benches all around.
Nicely equipped, sports spots, places for kids, and apparently a mini golf.
Main entrance with a floral clock.
Well maintained.
Close to the beach and to the Indigo Zeeparking.
Lack of bins maybe.

The Eggevoorde Estate had dominated the Maelbeek valley in Brussels since the Middle Ages, but portions had been sold off in the following centuries. In 1851, a portion was sold off in exchange for shares in the Zoological and Horticultural Society, and the area became what is today Leopold Park. The park was intended to be a home for scientific and leisure activities. Horticultural gardens and a zoo were created along with a community hall, a reading room, and a café-restaurant. However, the zoo was poorly managed and the management company went bankrupt in 1876. The horticultural gardens on the other hand were quite successfully managed by Jean Jules Linden, and they became a commercial and scientific success story until 1898, when they were sold. The City of Brussels bought the old zoological gardens and converted them into a public recreational park containing a variety of diversions, including the current Museum of Natural Sciences.
The 1927 Solvay Conference in Brussels was the fifth world physics conference.
In 1884, Ernest Solvay and Paul Héger, professors at the Université Libre de Bruxelles began a project to create an expanded university campus in the park. Several of the university's new institutes were created in the park, and stand to this day, including the original site of the Solvay Institute of Sociology, as well as its sister institution, the Solvay Institute of Physiology, which was completed in 1894. It was in that building that the famous Fifth Solvay Conference on Physics and on Chemistry took place in October 1927.
During the following years, a campus for the Solvay School of Commerce was established but construction of additional buildings was soon curtailed for fear of encroachment on the park and its fragile wildlife. In 1930, the Lycée Émile Jacqmain secondary school moved into the former Institute of Physiology. These buildings have remained to this day but only one still belongs to Solvay (and houses the Solvay Conference).
Nice dog park.

Pretty big place but not as big to accomodate so many people, the place was overcrowded, even in restaurant was not any free sitting place, parking is available in front door right beside the rush road so a little bit dangerous for kids, no wc, nothing for kids inside, grass was wet so it is better to just follow the paths, almost all interesting parts were fenced, but park is fine with many tall trees and full of paths, there are 2 small lakes with ducks and turtles

Le bois de Mariemont que l’on appelle également bois de l’Olive est composé d’une large étendue que l’on découvre à partir du parc de Mariemont et qui s’étire sur Morlanwelz, notamment aux abords de l’athenee.

Nice, clean park. Great for kids. No dogs allowed and policing by the gardiens de la paix can be a little annoying. It closes at night and has different access hours depending on the season.

Door een indrukwekkende dreef kom je bij het prachtige park, immens groot met kilometers wandelpaadjes langs oude bomen, beelden, gebouwtjes, vijvertjes en geurende bloemen en struiken.

Nice hidden park in Ixelles. Entrance via the walking path along the railways.
Plenty of flowers and bushes
Good playground for kids and tennis table (ping pong) onsite.
They recently added poultries at the west end of the park.

Lovely little park next to the train lines with a small playarea for kids. A swing and two rocky seats. They have added chickens in a fenced coop recently.

Really peaceful and tranquil park in Oostende. Loved the beautiful clock art at the beginning of the park.
A nice cosy park near my daughter's school. A good way to give her a brief but healthy respite before taking her home.

Nice little park offering a bit of tranquility in an otherwise busy areas. It’s kept clean and tidy by friendly on-site wardens, no dogs are allowed and there are some toys for small toddlers to play with. The only downside is that the play area for children isn’t great.
Rustig wandelen en even weg uit de drukte met een mooie bistro 🍹 restaurant 🍽 speeltuin🎡 mini golf ⛳ het Koninginnen hof 10-19 uur.

Relaxing, well-kept park for strolling and featuring a playgarden, boats and mini-golf.
This park is about 45 hectares (111 acres) and is situated only about 2 to 3 kilometers outside the city center. There is free car parking but in peak season it can be full.
Especially in spring and summertime this park attracts a lot of visitors without feeling like a distraction to the quiet green atmosphere.
Besides strolling you can have a drink and a meal at "Koninginnehof" which is the main catering hub. Next to "Koninginnehof", you'll find a play garden for kids, you can rent a boat or play mini-golf.
If you're looking for more peace and quiet, visit the mirror lake or choose one of the many walking paths around the different man-made lakes. The name derives from the wife of King Leopold II: Maria.

A very nice park with little lakes and playgrounds. Most of the ways are sealed so you can even go there after rain but you should avoid the unsealed ones then. They're muddy and slippery. There are a lot of benches to sit on and enjoy the views. The park also has some sculptures but not with english inscriptions. Unfortunately there are no toilets nearby.

A really nice oasis in a rather busy area. I didn't know about this hidden treasure for a long time - I think it is the same for others, that's probably why it is not as crowded add the other parks in Brussels.

Tucked away behind the houses and along the railway this is a great park to come with toddlers. There are only 2 entrances so it’s easy to keep them from escaping. Moreover there is a small playground with toys you can borrow free of charge.
