Super nice hike through the rainforest with a quite challenging end! We felt safe on the way as there is a kind of security control at the beginning of tge trail and we teamed up with some other tourists which gave us a even more comfortable feeling.

A vista é excepcional e vale a pena.
Exciting trail. There can be easy areas and some areas you need to climb or steep rocks. It's totally worth it. You will encounter other hikers, so don't be alarm about snakes. There is also a couple of waterfalls
Nice trail! As a solo traveller, I had concerns about security, but felt absolutely safe. Moderate fitness is sufficient.
This is the best trail to walk up and meet this famous guy Christ the Redeemer. You can see some falls, animals Nasua nasua and some monkeys but you can't see almost any city view because of the trees. At the same time it is dangerous place as there have been many robbings sith nife and gun included! Just don't take too much valuable stuff with you

Very nice park!
A satisfying, somewhat challenging hiking path up to Christ the Redeemer. The path is easy to follow. At one point there is a climbing section, but there are metal steps and is not so challenging for hikers.

Still have to pay the entry fee to the monument but you save the tram costs.

A beautiful hiking path to el Cristo Redentor. The path is quite steep at times and some light climbing is required at times. If it rains it can become slippery at some points. Walking shoes or sneakers are fine for this walk. The path is well marked and is part of the Transcarioca Trail. We had a safe walk and encountered no problems, but be sensible and don’t bring valuables with you: loosing a digital camera is not as bad as loosing your smartphone. Entry to the Cristo Redentor section can beland with a credit card.

Excelente trilha.

High level difficulty (for me) lol.
Beautiful sightseeing. Long hike (3 hours going up and 2 hours coming down). The most amazing memory.

We did this hike in August. There are soldiers at the beginning of the hike (at the Parque Lage) and almost at the end, to secure the path. We saw a luggage in the forest at the beginning which reminds you to keep your eyes opened... I recommend to not do this hike alone, we were two and we joined another group of 2 people on the way.
Be aware that there is a road on the top, but only used by shuttles. You cannot take these shuttles once you are at the top if you climbed by the hike. You must do the hike in the opposite way, or go down by the road (around 2km) and then get a taxi or uber (that's what we did).
The view is worth it, even if the place is full of people... Be patient to get your photos!
