Produtos de ótima qualidade. Sushis bem feitos. Sempre opto pelo futomaki e Inari zushi, bem temperados. Além de ótimos sashimis. Atende no balcão.

the food is not amazing, but worth to try the experience
The Omakase experience at Aya Sushi was unforgettable. The dishes are expertly crafted from fresh local ingredients with a slight French twist that produced so many amazing creations with the most incredible combination of flavours (e.g. squid sushi with a tangerine sauce and fleur de sel). The vibe was very chic and the servers were some of the most refined, attentive and cultured servers we have ever seen. Moisés was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and explained every detail of each course. He and Antonio were very courteous and provided a 5 star service to compliment 5 star dishes. If you are in São Paulo and love Japanese cuisine (or delicious food frankly) it would be criminal to miss out on the experience here. We will be making visits here every time we are in São Paulo.

Came here as a second option, and we were not disappointed. The place was almost full with the lunch crowd, but the service was still excellent. We had the lunch option, and I would like to try the normal menu and the drinks next time.

Spicy tonkotsu ramen broth was not creamy and no flavour, just spice. Okonomiyaki was a strange pancake texture with just a lot of mayo on top. Was put off after a few bites. Salmon temaki was the only decent thing we ordered where the fish seemed fresh enough and the portion was good value for money, but they did put some kind of cream cheese on it which was a bit odd.
Very classy and delicious food

Recomendo o Tirashi e o combo Sakura.

2-Star Rating based on 2nd attempted visit to a closed restaurant around 7:30PM. The first I went I thought they were really closed - not opened for business (yesterday 28-Nov-2023), but today (29-Nov-2023) when I saw someone entered it as I was leaving, I went back to the restaurant, opened the door to be revealed they are full. I had no idea this is mentioned on their website since it’s in Portuguese. I’m not sure if reservations are required or it’s first come/first serve. All I know is that this is the second time I tried to go to the restaurant and it’s closed. Thank God for the Japanese restaurant next-door because I would’ve never gotten any real sushi last night.

Now if you are wondering why I wrote real sushi, read on. I was in southern Brazil and I saw “crimes against gastronomy” there - specifically in Balneário Camboriú where they deep-fry sushi and put Doritos on top of it. But the greatest offense of all was sweet sushi! It’s sushi with Nutella or chocolate or even skittles candy pieces. It was an abomination. And the sushi that’s not an abomination has cream cheese in it. I used to believe the USA was bad with the sushi rolls with cream cheese, but in Brazil, the Balneário restaurants took it to another level of extreme. The cream cheese was such an overpowering flavor that I couldn’t determine if the sushi was either tasty or even fresh. All I tasted was cream cheese. 😳

But anyway, back to this restaurant, I believe this is a legit traditional Japanese sushi restaurant from the pictures on the website. It wasn’t cream cheese on everything. No sushi was deep-fried. And there was none of that abomination sushi called sweet sushi. And there’s no fruit sushi. Yes, there’s fruit sushi too! I saw a Chinese restaurant in a food court in Blumenau featuring strawberry sushi - yes strawberries wrapped in rice and nori - on display. What’s next? Mango sushi? Açaí sushi? Passion fruit sushi? Pineapple sushi? Ok, let’s not give southern Brazilians any more ideas to reinterpret sushi (but if southern Brazil did a pineapple sushi, Italians outraged over pineapple pizza can console the Japanese who would be outraged over that).

Anyway, after the sushi abomination, I decided that I will only eat sushi in São Paulo because I know their Japanese population would keep sushi traditional - and never add things to sushi that should never be added to sushi. I really wanted to try this restaurant, but they get full quickly and I’m not going for a third unsuccessful attempt.

This review serves as a warning for all to see if reservations are needed or if the restaurant is first come/first, serve. If the latter, get there before their opening time of 6:30PM. Otherwise, arrive 1 hour later and the restaurant will be closed.

Peguei o Tirashi.

The most fresh sushi I've had here in liberdade so far. Always super fresh and clean. Super simple place and such a hidden gem. Never expected to find such a great place in such a quaint environment.

I come here as often as I can and have been doing so since about a year ago.

The food quality has never dropped and service has only improved.

When it's busy service can get a little confusing sometimes but the food quality makes it all worth it.

Authentic Japanese Restaurant with All you can Eat Buffet (including fresh Oysters). It is a bit pricy so if you don't like Oysters you can consider other options.
Comida maravilhosa, e o preço mais ainda! Ótimo custo benefício, produtos de qualidade. Ambiente bem agradável também, adorei tudo. Voltarei mais vezes com certeza
O melhor custo benefício em comida oriental! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Adorei o novo espaço, comida deliciosa!
BOM DE VERDADE! ✌🏻

Ótimo shari (arroz do sushi), no ponto, textura e acidez corretas.
Dis a tasting menu here 7 courses then ordered 3 sushi after. I had one dish of fried corn and I didn't like it and then they replaced it. Thanks! Spoke English which helped. Food fresh. Tasteful. Properly cooked especially certain dishes such as cod and squid. Great atmosphere. Great service.
Excellent experience. But quite expensive
If you're looking for top-notch sushi in São Paulo, look no further than this fantastic Japanese restaurant in the Liberdade neighborhood. I recently visited and was blown away by the quality of the sushi.

The restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat option, which is definitely worth the slightly higher price tag. The selection of sushi was extensive, and everything was prepared with the utmost care and attention to detail. From the classic tuna and salmon nigiri to more inventive rolls featuring avocado and crab, every piece was delicious and beautifully presented.

What really stood out to me, however, was the traditional Japanese flavor that infused every bite. It's clear that the chefs here are experts in their craft and are dedicated to preserving the authenticity of the cuisine.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was also lovely, with a cozy yet modern vibe and attentive service. All in all, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an exceptional sushi experience in São Paulo. It may be a bit pricier than some other options, but the quality and variety of the sushi make it more than worth it.

HIDDEN GEM- After searching for this restaurant we found the side entrance (it’s in a building not one of the side walk level store fronts). Upon entering you a greeted then invited to go to the buffet. WOW many different sushi, sashimi, and tempura options. All being freshly made by the chefs behind the buffet. Highly recommend anything with salmon or scallops. The miso soup was fantastic. Glad we kept asking around on how to enter the restaurant!

The place is very cozy with a beautiful environment and the food is delicious.
My first meal in Guayaquil. My friend took me here. The sushi fish is fresh, soup is ok. Good service.
Great Udon soup. The ambience and the service can improve a lot, but I was wondering for a real japanese soup and I found it. Was really tasty and traditional.
Definitely, Sushi Isao is my favorite Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere of the lounge looks clean and minimalistic, with wooden tables and chairs and a huge counter, when you can see the buffet that contains the widest variety of Japanese delicacies that I know. As soon as you enter the restaurant, the staff pronounces a Japanese welcome expression: "Irashaimassê". Moreover, before your departure, immensely satisfied, you can sound a goodbye phrase in Japanese. In my opinion, the fresh oysters and the scallop sushis are the biggest differentials of this restaurant, with an unparalleled taste. Although there are a multitude of fried foods, the environment does not smell like frying. The temaki must be consumed as soon as it reaches the table. You can feel the freshness of the seaweed through the touch with your fingers. Therefore I strongly recommend this restaurant.

We had the best experience here! The food was beautiful and it kept coming very quickly with almost no waiting time at all. Our waiter was João and he could speak fluent English, was super polite and incredibly kind. To be honest I was surprised to find out he’s not the manager there, he treated the business as his own. If we’re ever in the area we will come back for sure, highly recommended!

Really great lunch rodízio, excellent quality fish, good variety. No problem with asking for certain things. Besides the negiri and roles, they brought hot items like gyoza and tonkatsu as well as extra portions. As it was the lunch hour, not many clients in these days of COVID-19, everything was freshly made and artfully-presentes, nothing was sitting around on a buffet line
Followed up with a matchá Hello Kitty ice.cream Sunday from Eat Asia.

Cozy restaurant and good chef making sushi with his heart
I come here with my wife multiple times each month for years. Everything is great here. Grab a sushi burrito to go if you're going to see a movie

Amazingggggg restaurant, 100% worth your stop. The restaurant is small, making it feel very cozy when you go. Most of the seats are at the sushi bar, where you can observe the chef, though there are also a few tables as well.

Quality is everything, and the ingredients here are definitely that! The other most important thing is the love and care that goes into it, and they definitely have this here. The service was excellent, and you can tell they have a passion for what they do.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the food here, but the sushi I enjoyed the most was the salmon eggs and the sea urchin eggs! We ended our meal with these and just WOW. We spent the ride home enjoying this flavor!

Would definitely recommend for anyone in São Paulo who loves sushi and a great dining experience. I look forward to going again!

Pretty tasty food. Fair price and good service.
Great tasting menu for a good price and excellent attendance
Very nice Japanese restaurant. Take a seat at the bar, close to the sushiman, and enjoy the sushi and sashimis preparation. The price are ok, it is not the best cost-benefit, but nice to have a good food in a nice place. The attendants are ok with a highlight to the sushiman. Fishes are fresh (ask for the swordfish).

Nice service, but some problems. Teishoku tonkatsu came with tiny pieces of oily meat instead of some light steak. Vegetables were served with ketchup toping them (!). My pal's dish came a lot earlier than mine anchovy. Anchovy was great, but Overall, a once time only restaurant.

Service here is excellent, the waiters are friendly and efficient – uncommon features on most all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants. The food is great, the fish is fresh and they offer good variety at a fair price. Ambience is fine too but could be improved, it'd make for a 5-star experience.

The most indescribable dinner experience I've ever had, Ryoichi Yoshida's food is stellar. Served as a traditional Japanese omakase course, every dish, skillfully prepared by Yoshida San, was a new exciting experience. Fish and seafood I've never tried before, each with its particular flavours, surprised me by every bite. The food was so good, my friend and I couldn't contain laughter. I hope to visit Hamatyo again sometime soon.

Yoshida San, itadakimasu.
Quality varies depending on the sushi man, but very good in general. It not a traditional Omakase, they use truffle and foie gras in some of the nigiris, but the fishes are well selected and prepared and very limited usage of salmon.

One of the best fish in SP! Worth every penny.
Always impecable. A bountiful buffet.
Several delicious combinations of the sacred triad Fish, Rice and Seaweed. Proper Japanese food, with quality ingredients. There is also egg roe, shrimp and oysters, and some simple desert, plus bancha, all included in the price. Temakis can also be ordered, and are brought to the table, fresh and the seaweed still crispy.
