Absolutely incredible experience! The detail is incredible. Prepare for a walk through of Canada where you can reminisce about places you have been, and plan for places you want to go! The staff is incredible…helpful but not pushy.
We had an amazing time there. The miniature of the whole city was so detailed and the people who are actually designing the miniature are really incredible. It would take around 2hrs to see around all the cities. Loved the Toronto, niagara section.
Little Canada is absolutely worth visiting! The ticket price is justified by the incredible experience. This place is perfect for a trip with friends and family. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.
Inside, you'll be amazed by the intricate 1:16 scale models that are beautifully crafted. What makes it even more special is the opportunity to see how these models are handmade. The experience was better than we originally expected and we truly enjoyed the visit! The miniatures were delicate and full of various details. If you've been to some of the scenarios it depicts you'll be able to find many details that you resonate with! Although the ticket price is a bit high, but I think it's definitely worth it for a visit, and the place has fun for both kids and adults!
We loved visiting Little Canada. We went on Mother's Day and it wasn't very crowded. The place was clean, there were plenty of bathrooms, and there were places to sit if you got tired. There is a small restaurant, a reserved area, and a shop at the end. The staff are super friendly and attentive. All the details are impressive, and each attraction has 15 minutes of day and 15 minutes of night. It’s spectacular. They are building more parts, and we will definitely return. Thank you very much for the experience. I have already recommended it to several friends.

Absolutely stunning miniature displays. We loved the Greater Toronto Area, Quebec City, and Atlantic Canada. We can't wait to come back to see the West Coast, Northern, and Prairie exhibits when they open. My two kids (both under 5) were fully absorbed during our nearly 2-hour visit. This attraction is a fascinating love letter to Canada. If, like me, you love Canada, it's people and geography, then you will absolutely be amazed by this experience. Suitable for kids of all ages!

Visite qui même si vous prenez votre temps dure moins de 2h30. Vraiment peut d'exposant qui apportent de la nouveauté. Conclusion un temps de visite cours dû au trop peu d'exposant et un coût de stationnement à 25$ pour 2 heures...
Première visite pour nous. Nous nous attendions à être plus inspiré visuellement en matière de construction, rénovations, aménagements, design … plusieurs kiosques n’ont aucun lien avec la thématique ex: kiosques de crème visage, produits coiffants, rallonge de cheveux,etc…
Beaucoup mais beaucoup d'exposant avec aucune personne qui parle le français. Je suis vraiment déçu. Un minimum de 1 personnes qui parle le français par exposant aurait été de mise ... Nous sommes au Québec c'est inacceptable.
This little museum is well worth a visit. As newcomers to Nanaimo, we found it informative and nicely set up. It is family friendly and has a coffee shop right next door. You could easily spend a couple of hours here if you read all the exhibit info.
Went here with my family to see some history about Nanaimo. Very very cool!!! The mining exhibit was by far my favorite with the lanterns they provided aswell as the class room exhibit. Very well done. Took my 2 year old with us and he still found it very cool. Interactive buttons to press asweell. Definitely check this place out! :)

Very cool! I went with my almost 5-year old and we had a great time. I loved the amount of detail in the displays. My kid loved the moving parts, especially the trains and cars. The staff was very friendly and really excited to show us some of the Easter eggs in each of the exhibits. You can tell they enjoyed working there and liked talking to kids, which made our experience that much better. We'll definitely come back!
Went to the Dreaming Asia exhibit. It is a bit pricey for what the activity proposes. We ordered our tickets for 4:00pm but were able to get in by 4:30pm. I’d say the exhibition was indeed nice but it wasn’t as it was advertised from the website video. Not sure if I’d go back.
The immersion rooms are good but all 3 reels seemed to be very short.
The both the Oasis space and the Asian art exhibit compares very poorly to the Van Gogh exhibit that was in the Arsenal museum a few years ago.
The “activity” area is a poorly run gift shop with broken colouring pencils and pencil sharpers that don’t work. The staff is indifferent at best. No snacks or drinks for kids but they will sell you tea for $18 (not kidding).

We actually needed a bathroom (washroom) so snuck into the museum. But we discovered a little treasure of trove of local history. The saddest was the 132 miners who died in a methane explosion in the local mine. Chinese laborer's were registered by their number, not their name. Worth the visit and targeted at all ages. Even the teen in our family grunted that they were impressed.
I loved the exhibit ✨ the Japanese room and tea degustation (post the exhibit) blew me away! If I could have stayed in a hamac for another 2h in the Japanese room… I would have. It brought me memories of my favourite animations… it made me travel and reconnect to my inner child.
I guess my expectation was way too high as I have been to multiple teamLab exhibits in Tokyo and expect some similar experience. It was nothing like that.

Really enjoyed the experienced seeing the Dreaming Asia show. Beautiful show that is really well put together. Would definitely go again.
Great museum with some well selected exhibits and only a couple of suggestions:
A. Space Design - Beautifully designed space but could be better used to accommodate a larger number of exhibits.
B. Museum store - The store has a good mix of products and after we left, we wanted to get another item we saw there but there is no online version of the store. The online store could be a good revenue source for the museum during the holidays,

Little Canada was even better than I expected. We enjoyed the representations of Canada in miniature. The accurate details and movements are wonderful. Some are easily spotted, such as the Rogers Centre dome that opens and closes, and the trains that run along tracks. Keep your eyes on the details, or you might miss the chickens pecking in the farmyard or the tide that comes in and out at the Bay of Fundy.

My kid loved the model trains running through all the 6 exhibits the most and we loved the night exhibits at the Ottawa parliament house. I could easily spend 3 hours here admiring the level of details they put into each and every exhibit.

Despite the town is not the most touristic place in BC, Nanaimo Museum is a great touristic spot with welcoming atmosphere and easy-going staff.

After hearing a lot about this place, I had to check it out for myself. My expectations were quite high, and I'm happy to say they were met. This is a must-visit spot for everyone. I was genuinely impressed by the dedication and effort put into it. It's a fantastic place to explore, enjoyable for both kids and adults. The pictures don't do justice to the real experience – you have to see it in person. Don't miss out on this unique experience!
I went to check out the Van Gogh Digital Art display, and it was a pretty decent experience overall. They've got three different exhibition studios there. The first two were okay, nothing too mind-blowing. But the third one? That was a real game-changer! You actually get to interact with the art on the floor, and the projections respond to your movements. Super cool stuff! 😄
A must visit place for all the age groups 2 and above.

Staff is extremely friendly and warm and you can also see the artists in action making the miniatures while they interest you with fun facts n processes.
This place will easily take 1.5 to 2 hours of your time and might still leave you for wanting more. I am definitely planning my next visit for their upcoming cities.

Gaining knowledge and culture for free on the first Sunday of every month sounds like a great deal to us. So, this time we went to two museums. The first being @museemccordstewart where we saw three exhibitions.

An exhibition that bears witness to the still unrecognized knowledge of indigenous peoples in quebecer and Canada as well as the deep wounds they carry and their incredible resilience. A large collection of stories from the members of 11 indigenous nations In Quebec.
And we also saw two temporary exhibitions :
Becoming Montreal :
A ninteresting view of montreal through the eyes of artist James Duncan between 1830-1880. His impressive vision of many famous areas and some lost views in various styles compared to the current landscape of the city is something we've never seen before.
Hochelaga - Evolving Montreal :
Photographer and film director Joannie Lafrenière brings out a beautiful, lively and diverse story, told in photos, of an ever changing neighborhood and the simple life of local characters.

Saw the Van Gogh distortion show here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Went at 11:30am on a weekend and it wasn't too crowded! Clean facilities, wheelchair accessible, water fountains, accommodating staff, and a neat little gift shop. Definitely recommend 👌
Beautiful exhibit. The film experience is great, the tunnel with bears swimming, the seals are a favorite for my kids. We went to the restaurant for lunch, and the highlight was watching the bears playfight during lunch. Great time at the zoo!
This was an absolutely wonderful experience. This was the highlight of the zoo, which in itself was an amazing experience.
A museum with 1 permanent and at the time of my visit 2 changing ones. Clear set up in English, French and the native language.
The exhibitions had a totally different theme so it would we be worth checking in advance to see if they interest you. The museum had a cafe and luggage lockers.

The staff is all incredible and obviously love their jobs there. It was a wonderful way to spend the afternoon. We spent about 2.5 hours there, but I was moving very slowly through the exhibits. It is all very detailed and interesting. It's also nice and quiet there, occasional kids running around a bit but there were no large crowds when we went. It's a fun way to see more details of Canada during our short trip here. I cannot recommend this place enough.
One of the coolest places we visited on our trip to Toronto, and one of the coolest places I’ve ever been to in general.
This place is a must stop if you’re visiting Toronto or even if you’re a local. I overheard a staff member telling someone it’s about 90 minutes, but my girlfriend and I took a good 2 and a half hours here as we explored all the details of these incredible displays and works of art.
The level of detail on all the displays is insane. Everything is created with what seems to be painstakingly good detailing, expertly crafted, and placed perfectly. From every single little figure having detailed clothing, to every single car on the congested highways having proper headlights and brake lights. Little details of car crashes or cool little Easter egg interesting people doing some interesting thing are littered all over, only adding to the insane level of detail this place has. Everyone who worked in this truly cared and it shows in their work.
The staff are incredibly friendly and are genuinely excited about the displays and their details. Happy to share cool things you might not see (trust me there’s so much detail it’s impossible to post every little nook and cranny the displays have) and overall just incredibly happy positive people who seem to love where they work, only adding to its excellence.
They currently have several displays up after over a decade of working, and plan to have a handful more compete to finish off all of Canada in around 6 years (it’s more than worth it now already trust me). I will absolutely one day come back to see the rest and would be insanely happy to give them more business.

It is really interesting place to visit. We took both of our children 3 and 6 years old. They run, cried, laughed etc. There are some games during the sessions, when you should find and catch some image on the floor. But you should not let children stay too long. After coming out our son was little bit shocked and become really nervous.
A little confusing to book and know where you are to go. Those with prepaid tickets shouldn't have to wait in line with those who didn't, just to check in. Mining Tour was fantastic! The rest was quite interesting about Sudbury and geological formations. Dinosaur exhibition was of no interest to us, but my kids are older.
Lovely way to spend the day. The scenery was amazing. Lots of details made into little forms.

Kids had a blast exploring the exhibitions. We were short on time so couldn’t go on the mine tour. The staff is very informative and helpful
The first floor exhibit was an amazing overview about the past injustices against the Indigenous in Canada but also a hope for the future. 2nd floor was a photo journey of the history of Montreal. Very well done. Some multimedia displays done in English and French, all w captions. No audio needed, however QR codes provide more text to follow along w some of the video:
Did not go into the museum; just wanted to see the giant coin. Was a very quick visit, but a neat thing to see for sure. Nice little maybe 2 minute walk up if you need to stretch your legs. My goal is to find all the giant coins hidden throughout Canada!
This museum is truly remarkable, especially the "Indigenous Voices of Today" exhibition. It beautifully portrays indigenous people's wisdom, resilience, and the impact of historical trauma. This exhibition is playing a crucial role in fostering support and allies for Indigenous nations.
We’ve been a couple of times and our kids enjoy the hands-on exhibits about geology and mining, but this was the first time we were able to book a tour of the old mine. Our guide Sebastian was fun, and we enjoyed seeing how mining technology advanced through the decades.
Had a fun time at Dynamic Earth. The underground tour was worth the money and it was interesting to learn about the mining industry.
Our tour guide was Hannah. She was nice but my boyfriend and I thought she talked too fast to sometimes understand.
You can buy postcards for $2.50 each (if mailing within Canada) and you get to mail them in the underground mailbox during the tour. It is the deepest mail box in Ontario!

A solid place to spend the day with kids. I enjoyed "nerding" out with the staff about minerals and the geologic history of the area. My kid had fun and spent hours playing with the exhibits. My only complaint was the tour. The tour guide was good, but it was not what I was expecting. I have had tours of working mines before; this was more a stage where you are guided from one scene to another. All flashing light and TV sets.
A must visit place when in Sudbury. Real mining experience. The tour lasts for 90 minutes. One is taken 7 storeys underground in elevator. Guide is well informed. Tour takes one back in time to 100years back and makes them experience how mining has changed since then. There is a good playarea inside as well as outside of Dynamic Earth. There are two movies shows also being shown at regular intervals. One movie is about how Sudbury came into place it lasts for 25 minutes. Another show is about how minerals are formed on Earth surface - only the french version was avlb. So, we were not able to understand anything.
I loved its permanent exhibition “Indigenous voices of today”. It combined artefacts and testimonies and really amplifies Indigenous voices. It’s organized through different perspectives of the Indigenous lives, past and present. I especially enjoyed the photographs in the section on child-rearing. The presentation is easy to follow and the quotes concise and vivid. The gift store has a lovely collection of cards, jewelries and books. Staff is very friendly. Highly recommended!
Omiword the exhibit was excellent! Informative and interesting, with many ways to experience and learn about polar bears and Churchill and Hudson Bay, including theater, posters, choices of sound and language...
Visited here on a weekend. This museum did touch my heart deeply. It has a lot of tales on indigenous people who tried to escape, save themselves. It tells a lot of the people living in the olden times, the things they used or wore. There is a beautiful gallery of paintings of scenaries. In the last part there is a place to sit and enjoy the show depicting the photographs. Really calming and peaceful.
I loved the experience of the Voyage to Churchill insider the Assiniboine Zoo. Some magical experience of the northern lights in the 360 degree theatre and underwater tube feeling to see the seals and polar bear if you're lucky. This is the ex factor of the Assiniboine Zoo and why it's famous for.
Dynamic Earth is a must-visit museum to learn about minerals, to see the grand Nickle coin and the guided underground tour for mines is very informative. Kira, she was on the tour guide, was very knowledgeable, very friendly and had shared great knowledge about Sudbury mine history as well as the old era of mining and the new technology.
Visiting from Vancouver. Was there for a good 2 hours. It was a small place but still filled with lots of good display of art and exhibitions. Must visit when you are in Montreal. It is very close to McGill University. Also close to food and coffee. I also like the gift shop. Bought a very nice tea cup which is hand made in Vancouver.
Donate and enter. A good place to take a look at the history of Nanaimo's forest industry, sports, mining, etc.. It's nice to have a mission-type program for children.

Great place for kids as they have really nice zoo and play area. On top of it, if you really wish to see Polar Bears and learn more about their life, this is the place to go.
Beaucoup marché mais j'ai aimé. De belles découvertes allant de matériaux pour la construction au produits de corps. Il y avait mm des expositions d'oeuvres d'art, des appareils de massage. Rien à dire, à refaire si l'occasion se présente. Même eu la chance de discuter avec des collègues que j'ai eu la chance de rencontrer, on avait un stand, chose que j'ignorais.

Definitely a good place to go especially on the raining day. Really interesting to know the Nanaimo Chinese’s history, in the early years when the mine exploded, all the Chinese labour who died in it , doesn’t even have a name in the history record list. ..Know the history and Know your rights!
Having been to the Winnipeg Zoo several times this was a brand-new display for me as I haven't been to the zoo in many years. We enjoyed the seals and the polar bears and the information we gained from the various plaques and displays. The shark movie although informative was trying on our patients as the pace was slow and information was sparse. The native drumming and chanting nearly put us to sleep. Would have been nice to have somewhere to sit down as well.

Absolutely amazing. I loved each exhibit. My 10-year-old daughter was blown away by how far we've come as a people. We could see the indigenous peoples' canoes; the early settlers' fun competitions (the bathtub boats), school rooms, stores, and even wedding gowns. We got to see a mine that gave us chills, and so much more. We will definitely be back!
