Such a fantastic group of people contributing so positively to our community. The need in Toronto is higher than ever. We’ve just dropped off our second round of multi box donations from a work drive and a from our daughter’s birthday (friends gave food in lieu of gifts). Will continue to support them as much as we can! Thank you for your service to our community!
My experience today at Salvation Army food bank was marvelous,in fact,no word good enough to express my gratitude and appreciation.

Friendly and helpful staff
Have to admit... I found myself avoiding using the service (out of a discomfort with revisiting being "in need" in decades past) ...and wanting to put a distance between that past experience and life today. However... sometimes you may need help so DON'T let false pride stop you from getting the assistance you need. The staff here are really empathetic and understanding... and honestly, I was AMAZED AT THE QUALITY OF FRESH HEALTHY PRODUCE, along with many healthier choices than one would find at food banks 2 decades ago.
This foodbank location is closed but its still showing in the map. Remove this location immediately. It has moved to a different location.

Very friendly and helpful all the time you can see how tiered they are but friendly all the time.
I recently sent a newcomer to the food bank, and he mentioned that the woman there shut the door on him without providing any explanation. It would be considerate for the staff at the food bank to at least communicate the reason behind their decision. It's important to remember that people visit food banks because they have a genuine need, not because they want to.
This place is fantastic because it helps those in need and it has helped me and some of my family

When I was new to town, didn't know much about resources, Sharing Place was welcoming. Great staff. They were so helpful, understanding.
Its literally so fake. We as an international student we thought we’ll be able to decrease our expenses and will be helpful but there everything was expired and they were saying its best before the use? Like whatt? And its only for onetime and we only get food when we give 5 star review to them! They are just using to us to get 5 star reviews. I dont recommend any international student to go there. If i could i will not even give them one star.
They accept donations at anytime during the year.They are extremely efficient and welcoming. Once people get to view the whole operation you will appreciate the need for donations. The people that run it are wonderful, welcoming and just plain nice people.

The sharing place is the best place to get food for people who need it the sharing place is fantastic you couldn't ask for anything better and I don't think every city in Ontario meets the standards like the sharing place does and the staff even though they're donating their time for free it's the best place ever if you haven't been there I suggest you go there God bless

It was a wonderful experience at Sai Dham Food Bank! They verified my Student ID and helped me with the food hamper in less than a minutes. They even accommodated me visiting over a weekend since my college schedule was not really great. ThankYou. Do visit them.
I visited Sai Dham food bank for the first time, and i can tell that i am completely satisfied with the hamper they provided me with. Also the staff members were very helpful and guided me to take items accordingly. It was a quick service as I didn't have to wait for a longer time which is also good. Would recommend it to other international students to pay a visit and help with basic grocery needs. Thank you Sai Dham Food bank
sadly food banks can never be 5 star, but pcfb is a good food bank run by good and patient people.... the clients can sometimes be sketchy so leave the kids at home.... it can feel unsafe outside in the waiting area....

I came across this place online and decided to drop off some stuff for people. Went this morning, there’s a tiny warehouse door that’s open and is crowded by young boys hovering the door and their car parked right on the door with no representative or anyone to talk to. I took a bucket and kept the stuff in, out of almost ten people there, no one asked what’s your name or any accountability to give any receipt or anything. I called them to ask, but the lady who answered is saying why didn’t you ask for someone to take your name. I’m trying to understand the process and they’re not even willing to assist. They grabbed the stuff. This makes me feel even if it’s legit since now I’ve no written proof or anything from them. Also, legit organizations themselves provide the receipts of donation. Not going again there. Maybe they’re doing good work, however the system doesn’t make it seem like it. Rather go to Salvation Army

Love this food bank, its reliable and Stagg is usually friendly.. sometimes they give you expired or rotten food though...theres no exchanges and of you get a large portion of bad foods it leaves you without or needing to get to another food bank sooner

Saidham Foodbank is really appreciated for this move. They are giving all the international students with food hamper which is very helpful for us in this expensive place to live.

First time going I felt very welcomed and not judged. The volunteers are all super friendly, especially the ones that remember me each time I go in. Was very surprised with the abundance of food we were given, and the actual process is very smooth.
Sai sham is Really appreciable. They are helping international students as much as they can. No one can sleep hungry if you are linked with them. Thanks to the team.

I barely got anything from there when I went, I was very disappointed, I have been to other food banks and I've gotten more than enough; this one not very good at all! I got maybe 2 cans a box of eggs some bagels 3 carrots 1 pepper 1 mister noodle's, and couple of granola bars. Very disappointed
This place used to help 30 to 50 people but they jumped into the 100ds. you get food for one day or two every two weeks.
This will be the 5th occurrence where this food center has handed out rotten meats to a person in need with their food order. Tried to rectify the situation 3 x now with the staff and it still keeps happening. Clearly they are not paying enough attention to detail here. How many people are you sending bad meats home with???? If you want to be didsapointed when you go to cook your family their meal with the meats they provide you then I'll gladly suggest the sharing place. Not happy guys!!

This has been my third time going to this food bank/church, and each time I've gone, I've been discriminated against on multiple things because I'm what they would deem as 'lower class' or 'poor'.
You list yourselves as an emergency food bank but the last two times I've gone I've had to BEG for food for me and my cats.
Either 'no one is working' or 'the food bank isn't open today.' which again doesn't make sense if you're an EMERGENCY food bank. Also, if someone is telling me no one is working today, why can't they help me? Aren't they supposed to be there to help? Isn't that what Jesus preaches?
Plus, I've seen in the freezers and fridges in your back room, they're FILLED with food and yet you tell people that come by needing help, that you have nothing. Some items are even listed "DO NOT TOUCH." almost as if you're reserving specific items for specific people or either yourselves. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the donations that this church receives goes right into the pockets and tummies of the people working there, not the people in the community who need it.

I went today to provide the documents required to get food assistance but the dark skin tall lady was not nice she just wanted me to leave. It seemed that she is donating from her pocket.
Omg this people are awesome and the gentleman that works outside and takes your order is awesome too very patient very polite very well appreciate that you guys are great great people and never had any complaints you guys do your best and I very much appreciate it
Fantastic place for those who need help. The food that is offered are always able to fill your stomach and be nutritious. A great place with ample parking.
I have to say that Youth Opportunities Unlimited is an incredible company because of how they give such fantastic guidance to the people that are going through the many programs that are offered at YOU. The people in the programs are given the opportunity to be able to turn their lives around and give them such hope and confidence in themselves.

I am so happy god bless you all for this food you gave me today. I only have $3 in my account and love how much good they gave me today. I happened to go by on my daily walk and there were at least a dozen people inside and a line around the corner with no distancing. It's Parkdale! We're down to earth, community focused and follow rules during a pandemic to care for and respect our neighbours.

I was at the toy drives I hv a 15 months old so today I was a bit disappointed I saw a basketball 🏀 net I really wanted for my baby but I can’t afford to buy it Thts what I wanted to give my son for his xmas it was in the office direction I went an fet my toys but there were nothing I really like or wanted any I did get few thing so I ask if I can give back all Tht I pick up an in return I get the basket ball net I was so desire for my back but rose said no a mean they toys are for donations why would u refused me the toy unless they keeping it for they then self i was willing to give up all tht I got for this one basketball net cause it means a lot to me I wanted to start my son off as a baller 😭😭😭😭😭

I only come out of necessity. They often give food that is between close to expiry to long past expiry which made my husband and i sick a few times.
Local Salvation Army temple I have been going for years. They ate a great community church. They also run a food bank, toy drives and all sorts of fundraisers and community meals. If you are in need this is the place to go.

I just wanted to say thank you. The volunteers are very respectful and happy to be there. The atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming. When I fell on hard time the kanata food cupboard was there for me. Thank you again.
I would like to take this opportunity to say THANKS to all those that volunteer to this non-profit organization. I am down hard on life right now and Kanata Food Cupboard situated here at 20 Young Road, Kanata not only gave me all I needed to get by for this month of January 2015 but they actually delivered it all to my door as i had no funds for transportation to get there and have no car, no family nearby, nothing. Thanks again dear friend, may God reach out to each and every one of you and bless you with prosperity!
