cheap place to relax and unwind. spa is nice. only complaint was the tv didnt work.

In the past been several times and loved it. We come from the states. I am visiting Toronto this week and looked on google and it says it was open 24/7. Also checked the oficial website to double check the prices and it says it was open all year round. We get to the front door and there or a sign saying that they are closed due to renovations. We would have loved to learn about this on the website and not wasted our time.

Reception was ice.(it was a recent Thursday) The only words spoken by the cashier were "have a membership?" . A tip seems to be expected but when I tip there is not even a cursory "thanks" . I know it's tiresome working with the public but this is the first person encountered and a minimum of politeness would make him more money. Perhaps better suited as a room attendant.

I had an overall good experience here but the reason for the low rating is because of the attendant at the front. He was rude to me and multiple other people seemingly for no reason. Maybe he had a bad morning? but he was argumentative and yelling at me and other ppl for no reason. If he was nicer or even pleasant and approachable, that would have made my experience much better. I hope this gets improved for the future 🙂

This is well ran and very clean Men’s BathHouse. It is for men only, no women allowed and everyone of all ages is welcome: This is an erotic atmosphere where one can let go of their uninitiated inhibitions and explore an encounter of a different nature.
The spa is open 24hrs/7 days a week, rooms and lockers can be rented for different days of the week and different times, check their website for pricing. So, if your looking for an alternative evening then look no further this is it!!! Oh and if your afraid to go alone or want a tour, hit me up and I’d be glad to accommodate?? 😜

I was 7 times. Charged for one time entery and after few time going there finally manager called and Holly was he disrespectful at end he said dispute it with your bank I don't believe you even when I offered to show him the prove

Never had a bad experience at any Steamworks facility, Toronto included. Got my 🍑 torn up good there a couple of months back. However, I don’t understand the “no bags” policy. I like to bring toys, lube, poppers, etc and need a bag for all of that. If the goal is to keep drugs out, then the policy is failing miserably.

This place has really gone downhill. The amount of drug users that are allowed in is absurd, doesn't feel safe whatsoever. And I'm not talking about guys smoking weed, every other guest seems like they just came out of a homeless shelter. Save your money, go somewhere else and stay safe.
Most of the staff is amazing, but there are some really awful ones. A bitter fellow who works the counter named Andy was extremely discriminatory to different guests based on their color, which I was astonished to witness. I can't believe people like that can still have a job serving guests.

Very rude staff

It’s a great place ! However, I would advice to cut down prices whenever they are doing repairs for instance ; there was a time the jacuzzi was off which is understandable and they apologized because they were repaying it , why would they charge the same amount of money ? I would such to reduce a few dollars in such scenarios. I love the place though, good hygiene, nice customer care !

I certainly don’t recommend here for the following reasons:

1) I was visiting here with my partner for the first time, the receptionist was so rude and aggressive on Saturday July 15th. I told him why do you answer our questions aggressively he said because I want to make sure you wont fool around and I am watching you. We were just asking simple questions about environment, hygiene, duration and price.
2) the bathrooms were indeed filthy, I saw the flush was not working in 1 of the room and it was dirty

3) it was so boring, not more than 6-7 people on a Saturday evening.

4) the bathtub was really small and couldn’t fit more than 6 ppl at the time

5) the water wasn’t clean and it was stinky

All in all, I don’t recommend Spa Excess, do yourself a favour and choose somewhere else.

My recommendation to the Spa Excess: choose á right receptionist and ask him to treat your clients politely. My partner and I will certainly share our bad experience of your receptionist and it will indeed impact your business. Don’t be rude! People can ask questions. If he hates his job, he can change his job.

Absurd experience. Rather than this being a friendly place for the community to meet, I experienced the worst customer experience in a long time. Having flown in overnight and having my connecting long haul flight only tonight, I thought it would be a great idea to spend the day here mixing relaxation with some fun. First surprise: They had a sign out that the wet area is closed - not exactly what you expect from a "24 hour" bath house. A friendly young guy told me that they need to clean after the weekend but the shower would be open again after an hour or so - which is totally reasonable and understandable, so I said that this would be no problem. At this point, an older, shorter, and chubbier guy took over and corrected that it would be at least 3-4 hours, for the jacuzzi maybe even 4pm in the afternoon (7 hours later). Wow! But OK, I also had planned to work out in their gym and to take a nap, so I anyhow proceeded and indicated that I would like a standard room - indicated at $34 on their website. Except that the guy quoted a price of $50! Maybe a surcharge because the room would get used more if the wet area is closed? When I still indicated that I would like to go ahead and get the room, the guy grabbed a flash light apparently to check my backpack (another sign says "bags subject to random search" - it does NOT say "no bags allowed"). Before switching it on, however, he suddenly changed his mind again and declared that actually they have a policy not to let people with a bag in at all - they neither would store it nor let me take it to my room. He actually suggested, absurdly, that I get a hotel room just to store my backpack (after having explained that I just flew in this morning and would fly out tonight)!!!!! And in all modesty, I'm an athletic, presentable and friendly guy frequently praised for my good looks and kind attitude, so this isn't a case of me being an arrogant a**hole or rude, quite to the contrary, after being offered a standard room at a price higher than advertised and being told that this "24 hour" bath house has closed its wet area, I still politely said OK. The neighborhood does seem to have a problem with homeless people but I don't think that homeless people customarily have an overseas passport and credit card to pay for a room when intending to illegally move in, nor do they tend to wear clean clothes and have a brand new backpack, so I really don't know whether the guy just had a bad day or whether he wanted to keep the premises empty for whatever reason. In any case, I wasted the over $50 cab fare and can only warn against this establishment. Both a pity and a disgusting experience!!!

I’m not sure who you have working behind the cash, or hire But to treat someone poorly becz they don’t want to tip you is a joke. I’m not obligated to tip anyone just for processing my check in and giving me a towel. He’s even so petty to the point he will give u a locker in the halls instead of the main area where everyone else is. And yes there were many rooms available, as I have friend who was also working that day.

We come here to have fun and give you our money to support your business. Manage those you hire with class.

If you are younger than 60 years old and don't belong to the same "gueto," I would advise against visiting this establishment. My recent experience left much to be desired, from encountering rude staff at the entrance to facing unnecessary charges despite already having a room reservation.

Upon arriving at the venue, I was met with the unwelcome comments of the person stationed at the entrance. It was disheartening to have my partner's age, a 19-year-old, become the subject of inappropriate remarks. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful, creating an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere right from the start.

Adding to my disappointment was the confusion surrounding the billing process. Despite having already paid for a room, I was unexpectedly asked to pay for a locker. This mix-up in charges not only caused frustration but also raised concerns about the establishment's organizational skills and attention to detail. It was an unnecessary inconvenience and an unfortunate waste of money.

Furthermore, the overall accessibility of this place seemed limited. The implied notion that those outside a certain age bracket or specific group would find little to enjoy here only added to the feeling of exclusion. In a time when inclusivity and diversity should be celebrated, encountering such closed-mindedness was disheartening.

I sincerely hope that the management of this establishment takes these concerns seriously and addresses them appropriately. Visitors should be able to expect respectful interactions and accurate billing processes, regardless of their age or background. As it stands, I cannot recommend this place to others, as my experience left a negative impression due to the rudeness of the entrance staff and the lack of clarity regarding charges

Every time I go to spa excess.I have a good time lots of fun. The staff is polite and nice to me. The spa has events & things for everyone from young to older people, vanilla to masters.

Staff was nice, offered to explain how it works. The hot tubs, sauna, steam room and showers where great. Clean. Lots of dark places to have fun in.

Been there for a visit. Very nice and clean. Attendants are also pleasant. If you are looking for work, keep in mind you are in a gay community. And you have to be 18 and older to apply. I had a room for 8 hours to stay and also got my 5$ back was a surprise and did not realise about extra fee but it was all ok. Did not visit steam room but a bathtub was great. Clean, little bit dark, but not impossible to see, note to self if you want to be safe bring small light with you some corners are dark. Will come back. they have membership.

You can feel comfortable with being yourself there.
I use to go after a gay bar, and take a relaxing time in the hydro massage.

I usually go to this place very often but last time when I went, it was friday night even after showing my ID the guy at the front charged me full price and literally ignored my call even when i told him i am under 25. Anyway Shout out to Rafi!! He is always there, he always makes me comfortable and he even resolved this issue swiftly! He is really amazing. I love his customers services! Would always come here!

The place does look a little shady from the outside. But the staff are wonderful. I had an appointment with Henry. He was super personable, friendly and put me at ease, on top of giving an excellent massage. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful experience at this place, it was my first time going to a bath house and it was wonderful. Quick bag search and we were through. Although it was a bit of a maze we found our room quickly. It was a bit small but I didn't mind since I was going to be sleeping there all night. The hot tub was magical and the sauna was just right. I highly recommend this place if you want to have a nice time with a partner or a hookup.

I've been coming here for about 4 years now, and I have to say I love it! The building is a bit run down, but the attendants definitely make up for it. They're all absolutely gorgeous and great with their hands! I've had sessions with Henry, Dan and Matteo, and I've had great times with all of them! I highly recommend getting a massage from here!

Nice and clean, but the only drawback is you have to carry cash. No card or interac accepted, they should put some sign outside to find the location.

Had a session with Vinny. He was warm and personable, actually gave a pretty good massage, even called me out because we had additional time left which he was more than willing to accommodate.
You can for sure discount the lousy reviews where the bad English doesn’t match the names and promotes a competitor.
I’ve been to their location as well, while not bad, I don’t like the their ethics of slagging.

untidy and feels like an abandoned basement with dark rooms. It has changed a lot especially the attendants. Seems that everyone has gone except one sketchy vietnamese guy whom I interacted with a few times. He is there everyday and the only one available. Check out the site. (i bet quality of service might be a problem after having two clients). Sad this establishment is dying. Management should hire more masseurs and keep the establishment clean and presentable.

Not worth your money, mostly ugly masseurs, only 1 that is good looking but his massage is nothing make sense...get a private one on one session at your place instead for your owm comfort and worth your money.

I ‘m not sure who he thinks he is but more than once his approach to some really interesting guys has really turned them off to the point where they have said they won’t be coming back.
