my favourite cafe in the area, most kind owners, been coming here for years for their ginseng latte! i wish this could be closer to home, but used to come here often during a lunch break (before covid). so happy to know it’s stayed busier, i stop by whenever i get the chance! don’t hesitate to come for coffee. or quick lunch. it’s simple and quick, not anything fancy but the owners put lots of effort into making the food and making sure you have a great experience!

I’ve been going here even before Covid & it’s an amazing cafe. Busy around lunch time as expected but their coffee are imported from Italy & owner is Italian as well. Took my friend here & things hasn’t change for over 5 years. Exceptional service & food. Love it here. This is the coffee ginseng
This little gem was a great find! It’s a bit hidden as it’s behind and within a larger building. It’s got decent parking and a fair amount of seating. This is a casual eatery/cafe, order at the counter and sit wherever and they will bring you the food. The shopkeepers were super friendly. The price to portion of food was very reasonable! The food was hot, delicious and made to order! My favourite was the prosciutto and egg toast! The espresso beverages taste great. I would highly recommend visiting this cafe if you’re in the area.
Was visiting the island and stumbled on this cool spot. We would recommend the seafood chowder. The curry was good but not spicy enough for us.
I ate here today for dinner. To start I want to thank Carlos, he was very welcoming and enthusiastic and provided great appetizer suggestions. The lamb and duck plates were fantastic and filling. We also got the dip plate which was delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great as well. Overall a great dinning experience.

Such a cute little place where it’s good to have a coffee and a nice bite. Went over there in the morning and I have been welcomed by a sweet server who made sure that I had anything and the way I wanted. She knew exactly how. They’re welcoming well people, and the location itself it’s a pleasure to see and visit, really relaxing and inviting ! I strongly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy half an hour cocooning
Always come here for 2 things coffee beans and a large latte. Two guys are always here doing the service, they're super friendly and have good advice. The vibe inside is pretty cool as well.
This cafe at Vaughan Mills Mall is my go-to for a delightful coffee experience every time! The hazelnut latte and cappuccino never disappoint, with their delightful aroma. The complimentary chocolates are a pleasant treat – delicious and satisfying. Overall, it's a delightful spot for coffee lovers!
I went to this cafe with friends to share my secret place. I told them that their coffee and food are good. When I got there, two people were inside. One of them told me, 'This place is a hidden gem; you found the right spot.' Later, the other one also said, 'This cafe is nice.' LOL. They were excited to share how nice this cafe is.

I was so pleasantly surprised with my experience. The prices are fair and reasonable, the service was exceptional and the food was phenomenal. You have the choice to take the food to go or sit down- if you choose to sit they bring the food to you. The seating area isn't large but gives you options for seating groups or single people. They also have other snacks to buy like cookies and chocolate. I ordered a slice of pizza that comes with salad ($5.99) and a bagel with cream cheese ($3.99) it was fresh hot and delicious. The service and food quality is something I'd expect from a fancy and expensive restaurant however they give you everything you'd want in eating out but with a better price.
An overdue visit to this authentic coffee shop which we wanted to visit a while back and it did not disappoint. It is a middle of a commercial/office type area with decent amount of parking. We loved the service which was top notch from beginning till the end. This cafe has Italian goods specifically imported from Italy. We had the butter croissant, croissant caprese, cappuccino and orange/peach tea. Everything hit the spot! Next time we will have more breakfast items as they have a diverse breakfast menu. Thanks!

Phenomenal experience and amazing food! The soup of the day (fall harvest) was absolutely delicious, the scallops were cooked bang on, and the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend to anyone, very well done!
This place is ideal for enjoying a cup of coffee, and scrumptious sandwiches! The cajun chicken sandwich was stuffed with fresh ingredients. The servers are jolly, and super friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed, and hence perfect for starting the day! There are communal tables for collective noshing.
Nice little place near Butchart Gardens. Excellent butter chicken and blackened sock eye salmon. Can’t miss.

EXCELLENT! What a wonderful night with incredible food. Best place for an amazing meal in Brentwood Bay. We had the trio apay and then lamb shank, Thai green curry, sunflower burger and all the desserts that were melt in your mouth. That is the best tiramisu I’ve ever had and the crème brûlée was soooo smooth. We’ll be back for sure! Wow!
Went there to pick up a Nutella latte. I like how they have multiple options of customizing the flavour of their lattes. I would definitely try their brunch one day. It was busy. The waiter made the effort to bring my drink all the way to where I was waiting. I enjoyed my drink.
This was such a fantastic place to stop by and warm up in. It has a pretty cool atmosphere with a lot of sports jerseys and memorabilia for sale. When you walk in tucked away on the back left side you'll see a really nice coffee bar with some seats and wall tables.

My friend ordered a soup and they said it would be awhile but we were going to sit and do work so it was fine.
20 minutes go by and my friend walked to the counter and saw her tray was there and the workers looked at her and didn’t say anything so she sat down again to wait.
Then another 20 minutes go by and my friend went up again and asked how much longer for the soup and they said “oh we don’t have that soup”.
They let us wait for 40 minutes, saw the tray, saw us waiting, and didn’t think to let us know they didn’t have the item we ordered.
They were on their phone almost the whole time too.
Won’t be returning!

Got a newspaper from their floor. This had showed all the doll noodle in the city were.
Our friends recommended this place for eggs Benedict and it did not disappoint! The strawberry smoothie was flavourful and filling. Not too sweet. The Nutella latte was also nice - a good balance of sweet with the coffee. The Waffle Benny with mini waffles was great. The B. Benny with potato waffles was filling and good flavour which is nice because it was my first time having potato waffles. Because it had potatoes, it was extra filling which I didn't mind. They did really over cook one of my eggs but they replaced it with an eggs Benedict AND a spare egg which was extremely nice. So service was A+ along with everything else.

I ordered on here from UBER eats as I have before from the My. Pleasant location and this was absolutely disgusting!! Waffles were soggy, took an hour + and they don’t include butter and syrup like other locations do. They also use one container for all 3 items which the other locations do not do you get much less. Gross. Avoid!!!
Great little spot. I got the Bacon egg avocado waffle. I got the gluten-free version, which was surprisingly great! Very large portions, and their food is tasty- nothing special, but it hit the spot!

We love their pizzas that are freshly made in house. The ingredients are always fresh. The dough is always soft and chewy. We also like their pasta, desserts (E.g. tiramisu and gelato) and coffee beverages. We just can’t eat all of them. I wish I would never feel full, so I can eat more of their food 😆
They always have a lot of customers especially during the weekends and when the weather is nice. We were lucky to get a table on a Saturday, so we could dine in and enjoy the food slowly.
They have many options on the desserts, pastries, and gelato. We would definitely come back to try more next time.

Very positive experience. The barista that took my order was so friendly and made sure to put me at a table where there would be room to store the big instrument I was carrying. They were pretty busy but the assigned seating system took the stress out of finding and choosing a place to sit. Nicely designed place, both in terms of aesthetic and the layout, which fits in lots of seating but isn’t cramped.
I got the Nordic salmon toast, a walnut chocolate chip cookie, and a rooibos tea. All great! Fresh toppings and tasty dill cream cheese on the toast. The cookie was really really good, soft, buttery, chewy, packed with big chunks of chocolate. The tea, although it was just a regular brewed tea, was particularly nice too. They removed the tea leaves before giving it to me and it was brewed perfectly strong with a deep flavour.
The prep time for the food was fast enough that I was in and out in about half an hour. Will probably make a lunch stop here again.

Great little cafe, very good matcha and homemade almond milk! The atmosphere is very zen and there are also great homemade desserts. I will come back!

I always judge an espresso bar on the quality of their macchiato. Pallet’s was super smooth and flavorful. I was told it was a Brazilian and Central American blend for this month. I will go many times more

The oat milk latte was good. I went to have the orange muffin, but it doesn't have it anymore, and the lady recommended a berryberry muffin. It was good, too.
i love the gelato here so much it’s always a special treat. especially like the sugar free hazelnut (monk fruit sugar) which makes a healthier treat. wish they had sugar free pistachio more. appreciate the days they do generous scoops because the small never feels enough! friendly staff great gelato 🍨 👍 can be busy during peak hours
Such a quaint & lovely place! I used to come here years ago - still have pics from New Years Eve 2000! We had excellent food & attentive service. Only bummer was getting stung x2 outside fm wasps & having to move everything inside. Nobody's fault - they def tried to deal w them & let us know in advance - just would've been nice to be offered s/t as an anti- ouch!! compensation split a dessert orveven an ice pack. 🤪🐝🍰
Absolutely loved the dacquoise, we tried honey pistachio, strawberry & mango & they were all delicious. They were a good size for a snack, unlike other places where the pastries are large enough to be a full meal. My bf got the matcha latte & he said it was one of the best ones he's ever had. We make our own at home with all the traditional stuff but it was just excellent quality, very smooth. The Spanish latte was tasty as well & the latte art in the heart was a nice touch. The man working there was nice as well. Definitely high on my list of cafés & will happy be back soon. Also, loved this art on the wall. Wasn't able to take photos of the food as it was too good to stop eating haha
I've said it before but I do like a little love with my latte. It's my opinion that a coffee shop should be the place for a friendly greeting, a wee chat and service with a smile. After all, you are paying a lot of money for some hot water, a little milk and an add-on that costs a fraction of the price if made at home. Anyway, I went into this place for a matcha and greeted them warmly and the lady at the counter just scowled at me during the whole process. She really didn't seem to be happy but might I suggest perhaps a change of career? The matcha was quite good but I won't go back because of the attitude.
What a fantastic hidden gem. Enjoyed a very tasty breakfast here. All the food we saw come out of the kitchen looked delish. Will definitely be back to try dinner as the menu has so much to choose from. You can tell the pride of ownership comes through in the food. Very eclectic restaurant, appears to have African influences. The place from outside looked tiny but it has a large seating capacity which filled up quickly but the service was not affected.
Cappuccino and Hazelnut Latte were delicious. Shakshuka with smoked salmon add on and the Classic Breakfast were delicious. Highly recommend if you want dine in option for breakfast vs takeout. Very nice hip vibe, more like a breakfast boutique spot with upscale Mediterranean vibe and really cute decor like petite chandeliers and hanging plants. Nice environment for dine in breakfast if your not looking for fast food drive thru. And it’s in the mall!

The almond milk cappuccino is average and quite small. The price on the other hand is very high. I am a little disappointed. Nothing special but the bathroom was clean. I admit I am perhaps spoiled after some time in Budapest where the coffee is much much better.
Got here early in the morning and got a coffee, London fog tea, and a Vegan Chocolate chip zucchini muffin. Everything we got was fantastic. The ambiance was also very relaxed and they had a great 80s playlist going. Wish I was able to sit there the whole morning - would definitely go back!

Get the Eggs Benedicts on the potato bun, consistently delicious. One minor con was that coffee is no longer bottomless and they didn’t serve drip coffee but instead it’s a small amount of americano and you pay $1 per refill.
Absolutely delightful and charming place for Italian sweet treats, coffee, cappuccino, wine, beer, delicious Gelato, sandwiches and other delicacies! Currently, Saturday afternoons, the owner Frederico and his father, are a live duet of melodic 🎶 music !
I ordered a homemade cheesecake made by the owner. It is the best cheesecake I have ever had. The cake taste delicate and texture is silky smooth. I enjoyed eating the cake under their colorful cloud light and have had perfect mood for my rest of the day. I will definitely come back!

A great option for coffee and sit down with snacks. Open atmosphere and seating outside as well. The coffee is pretty standard but there is a fine selection of pastries and other eats. Good location close to Arbutus.

Disappointing coffee size and were shy on the whiskey cream. Flavour mediocre.
Had the Long Pull, basically an americano with less hot water. Store is clean and bright, high ceilings and decent enough space to sit inside or outside. Lots of food and drink options. On a busy intersection downtown, best to walk to.

Yummy food. Didn’t have to wait for a table during the weekday. The B.E.A. was super tasty as well as the mango smoothie. They also have a $10 weekday special we didn’t end up getting it but it looked like a great deal.

If you're going to go to a Trees in that area, make it this one, rather than the one close by at Broadway and Pine. The staff is really friendly and competent, and the atmosphere is excellent. There are really comfortable, cozy but spacious benches and tables and I found it one of the most pleasant "third spaces" that I've been in for quite a long time. The other one in that neighborhood is exactly the opposite and made me and my husband swear we were never going to go to a Trees again. I'm glad I tried this one.

Absolutely gorgeous location with the trees blooming outside. The iced espresso was bold and delicious, and the double baked almond croissant was perfect! YUM!
This is my absolute favourite coffee shop in the city. The folks here really work hard to show up for their customers and have a positive impact on their days. The customer service is unparalleled. They’re lovely to chat with and sometimes they come out to pet my dog. Grateful for these folks and their commitment to facilitating genuine connections around coffee - I always leave with a smile. Such a great local spot!

Aroma Espresso is one of my favorite coffee chains, and their iced matcha latte is a must-try for any matcha lover. Order was screwed up multiple times and the staff was beyond rude. Coffee they made was basically water. Grilled cheese (for almost $8) looks like it been to hell and back, looks like it’s missing half a sandwich. 2 stars for the fact that I got the refund, would have been 1.
This little gem is my favorite coffee place! All the lattes I’ve tried are way beyond my expectations with reasonable price. The desserts are rich in flavor but not too sweet, which is perfect for me. And the warm, cozy feeling makes the store more relaxing to stay.
The morning staff is amazing. Quick, efficient, friendly - I never worry about mistakes in my order or being late to work with them.

Inside Vaughan Mills had tasty, aromatic rich in flavour cappuccino, best part of my meal, not so much with little taste of an all day breakfast, seemed like a kids meal very small portion , the whole wheat toast made up for it, two thick slices

Decent coffee. Latte was tasty enough and we were happy with it. Cafe is specious with enough room between tables . The interior design is nice, decorated by plants and lights. Staff are nice and friendly. Didn’t try any pastries yet. Will be back soon

The lady making muffins and sandwiches was named Wendy and she was doing everything by herself and was damn good and fast at it too so kudos to that star employee, she deserves a raise, I love the coffee and treats made by Wendy and the staff.
Lovely staff, fast service and great coffee. Azram is always pleasant, courteous and remembers customers orders and names. The rest of the staff is very polite and efficient as well. This is my go-to place for coffee when heading to work. Highly recommend!
BEST vegan chocolate banana bread!!! Wish I would’ve bought them all! So so good! Great little cafe, was able to connect to the wifi quickly and get some work done while enjoying my tea and delicious banana bread! Highly recommend coming here I will for sure be back for another slice!
I have been on other Trees branches, so nothing to add about their high quality coffee and cakes. What is special about this branch is its vibe, cozy place to do work and friendly baristas.
I would have given 10 stars if there was an option just because of the helpful staff . The Baristas Bella and Wyatt are super duper awesome!!! Made my day. The art pieces are done by them and they are mind blowing! For the coffee, it can't get fresher than this. The espresso shot was one of the best i had. I got the Peruvian beans for my aeropress and it makes a killer coffee. Both of them went out of their way to help me choose the best coffee beans. And took out time to explain about the different coffees. One of the best places to have a cup of coffee in BC. I didn't have the chance to try the cheesecake which is supposedly the best but will save the edit for another review.
Pretty good, but I wish they'd focus on being quick (by nature of the location, every customer is trying to get on a train in 4 or 8 minutes). It seems really inefficient that the cashier has to stop taking orders to make breakfast sandwhiches.

But because she was so pleasant and patient in dealing with me, I decided to get a Latte. Azram and I ended up having a good chat about various things but she was quick to notice customers if they came in and to tend to them. This to me is an example of a great customer service.

Arena is comfy coffee shop in maple leaf merchandise store. Environment is nice, staff is friendly. Sadly, my order was done with mistake, but barista without hesitation solved the problem. Btw, They serve rich pilot coffee beans.

A favorite spot of mine. Afternoon Medium Decaf Capucinno is hot, nice coffee flavor, and just the right amount of coffee and foam. The cheesecake is amazing, although I try and go for something lighter. The lemon loaf is light with the right amount of sweetness. I tried their vegan cookie for the first time today. Filled with dried fruits and nuts, it is great and quite filling. Stop by and have a break.
