My wife and I hired Brent to take us through Angel's crest in Squamish. We had one of the best days of our lives. Brent was extremely professional and led us through the route minimizing all risks. I never felt so safe doing trad climbing. Brent is just at another level, both in experience and talent. If you want to live great adventures and also stay alive, Brent is your Man
Took VMG’s Rescue 1 Rock: Self-rescue course yesterday with guide Brent Nixon. Amazing experience. Learned so much useful stuff that I really ought to have known a long time ago. This stuff should all be learned pretty early in any outdoor climber’s education progression.

Brent is a great teacher and made the day super fun as well as educational. Well worth every penny!
Fantastic 2 day trad course with Brent and Amanda. Learnt so much and am now confident to get on some trad on our own. 100% recommend

Great AST1 course! Despite the not ideal conditions, we managed to have a great day full of learning in Whistler. Brent is a great guide who made the day fun and enjoyable.
Amazing weekend at the Lillooet ice festival with our spectacular guide Julia Niles!!! Highly, highly recommend her as a guide, and am so grateful for such a rewarding experience. All the guides at the fest were incredible. Can’t wait for more ice, ice, baby, ❄️🙏
Took an AST 1 course with She Can hosted by Madison Sthaman with Will as the guide. It was such a positive, friendly learning environment where any and all questions were welcomed! I felt like we covered a lot in a day and all left feeling more confident and empowered to go out in the backcountry this winter. Thanks to Madison and Will for creating such an awesome day! Highly recommend checking out what She Can has to offer!
Great instructor (JF plouffe @jfplouffe) and kept it fun while drilling the fundamentals down with plenty of clear examples and scenarios. He kept a pace that was adapted to our group (mix of intermediate to expert skiers) and was welcoming to all questions. I recommend these guys to everyone now.
Got an itch to climb the Stawamus Chief, so I booked a private lead with VMG based on the recommendation of Climb On in Squamish, BC. That said, I’d never climbed outdoors before so the plan was to do the Apron and see how things were going.

VMG was an amazing company to work with from booking, to making the decision to push for the top, and get there safely. Brent was an amazing guide with a tremendous level of knowledge and the ability to teach. I never felt unsafe and I was able to make it to the top thanks to whole team at VMG.

Don’t think outdoor climbing is beyond reach. Book a day with VMG and get outside!
