A teacher pulled me by my hair out of the washroom while I was washing my hands

Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy tbh

This school sucks, the students keep ruining the school property and make the area chaotic.

not recommended, the school area is dirty, and the boy students are crazy and rude and mean

the staff and teachers care about you, and at the end of the day their actions are really for the best of the student. people just dont like being told right after doing the wrong for so long.

I get admission for kids masha allha I seen a good changes in my kids I recommend to everyone

It has been an incredible experience since my daughter joined Holly Name of Mary .
My daughter had grown from both the personal and Academic perspective. Looking forward to another successful year as my second daughter will join this year
Thank you HNMCS!

Students were mean and disrespectful

This program has been excellent for my 9y old's development! Not only is she learning dance choreography, singing and acting, but she is also growing in confidence and self-discipline. And compared to other programs, I very much appreciated having a year end show that DIDN'T require me to buy tickets!

If I could give a zero I would. This school is misogynistic, lacking in education, and treats the high schoolers as though they are the teachers. The "school coordinator" is basically a teenager who works at this school straight out of highschool without a university degree. The education is very poor and slow with minimal teaching. The high school boys can go to the nearby Tim Hortons whenever they want, even in the middle of class. Hardly any school supplies were provided in the school. Don't send your kids here, they will return home vaping and swearing with no respect.

It’s a great program for both kids and parents: 3 hr learning, out by late lunch, and responsible release time. The school took care of costume, no additional cost or stress for end of term performance. Best thing is kids get opportunities to work on stage presence from a young age, great for confidence development. My child enjoyed it for many years.

Our daughter transitioned to HNMCS mid way through high school in September 2023. We found the girls, leadership and teachers all very supportive, welcoming and friendly. The smaller class sizes and individual attention really stand out as key differentiators compared to other high schools. This allows for a greater focus on preparing the individual for success in high school and beyond. Moreover, there is a real close-knit community at HNMCS and it shows through a high degree of student and parent involvement with school activities and programs. We believe we are very well prepared for her to go on and complete high school and be successful in her post secondary studies. We definitely made the right decision to attend HNMCS.

A great place to learn! The teachers are some of the best in Ontario! Go tigers!

Before I begin, I just want to say that I don't mean to offend the school. I'm only sharing my opinion. Let's start with the school's Quran classes. They offer both Hifz and Nazira classes. The classes are taught by experienced teachers who have worked in different places before coming to Amanah. The classes have their good and bad points, but most schools have ups and downs. The Hifz teacher is very good. I've studied with him, and my previous teachers have said good things about him too. Next, let's talk about the education. I've been here for two years. One thing I've noticed is that it's hard to adapt to different teachers. Sometimes, a teacher's way of explaining things might not be easy to understand. But you have to remember, this happens in universities too. Teachers teach in a way that they are comfortable with, and that won't change. Another thing students often complain about is how teachers treat some students. First impressions are important, and if you make a small mistake, some people might not like you because of it. I'm not saying this is okay, because I've experienced it myself. Boys and girls are always separated and have little to no contact. One issue is that some students make friends with the wrong people, and it can get to a point where even the teachers can't handle them. These teachers earn much less than TDSB teachers, yet they stay and try their best to help the students. If a teacher is paid very little for their hard work, it’s understandable why they might struggle with students who don't listen or try to improve. For high school, it's not a great idea to stay here past grade 10. This school isn't the best for getting into a top university. It's possible to go to university from here, but getting into a really good one is very difficult. Majority of the students agree with me. If you were to ask me how good this school ACTUALLY is, the stars I gave speak for themselves.

This is a proper Islamic School. One place to protect the most valuable treasure that a person has, Imaan.

BE WARNED! this is not a real private school it is part of the public school board and marked as an independent school. I attended HNMCS from grade 6-8 and was bullied tremendously by the girls. I had the hardest time of my life here and barely was able to convince my parents to leave. The class sizes are small and there was no ability for me to pick the right friends as most of the girls were mean and snobby. As well, the education is the same as a public school , the teachers here are underpaid as the school is not unionized so they are not the best teachers.

Great school to start kindergarten. My child in JK adores his teachers in class.

This school was the worst experience of my life. I went here from kindergarten to grade 9 and it was hell. First of all, the students are really rude, bully and gossip about everyone. There are groups of kids who think they are better than everyone else and will exclude and leave everyone out of their groups. Literally everyone at this school is too entitled and selfish. These kids bully and gossip about other kids and even make racist jokes towards other students. There is a lot of racism, fights and bullying at this school and these kids get zero consequences for their actions yet they will get detention for not having a pencil. That is seriously messed up.
Now on to teachers. I'm not gonna lie, some of the junior high teachers were pretty good but others were pretty bad. First off the old principal would get kids in trouble for being on their phones in class but not for bullying. Good thing she left. There was also this teacher who invaded my privacy and looked through my phone for something I didn't do. I posted something for half a minute and took it down and a kid snitched on me. I lied and said I didn't do it because it was only for 30 seconds. But after she found out I lied she had the audacity to call me down to the office and look through all my text messages, socials and pictures on my phone just to find nothing. I felt really violated and I couldn't stick up for myself because she was an authority figure and because of that she has power over me. There is also this teacher and he was really creepy. He would always stare at girls and he was touching my arms to teach me how to play an instrument and it made me really uncomfortable. I know other girls he did that to also and after that I made sure to never take band again. Also the gym teacher was pretty mean. She embarrassed me for not bringing a hair tie and she would dress code everybody. She told me to go work out in a winter coat because I was wearing a crop top. I'm sorry Im not trying to get heat stroke.
My sister was on the volleyball team in grade 7. She wasn't very fond of the coach though. He didn't include her on the team picture because she was a red shirt, he only gave prizes/rewards to certain team members and he would always yell and be very mean. My sister really didn't like him and the team members were pretty mean like all teams me and her played on with this school. Teams are supposed to be about teamwork and having fun and that one coach and the people ruined school sports for me and her. I was on one school team and I didn't like it and I felt like I was left out so I didn't try out for any teams after that. My sister on the other hand tried out for volleyball again. She was in grade 8 at the time so she could chose whether she wanted to be on the junior team or the senior team. That same coach forced her to try out for the senior team which he was coaching when she felt like she wanted to do the junior team. She tried out for the senior team and didn't make it because the coach said she didn't improve as a player. What he did was very toxic and very manipulative. My sister didn't deserve that at all and I want her to enjoy the sport she loves and it's messed up that a coach would do that instead of supporting her and helping her achieve her goals.
After spending 10 years here it was such a relief to leave this school. My life has been so much better and I don't have to deal with this kind of stress anymore. For everyone having a hard time with school don't worry. It will get better for you even if you think it won't.

I have been privileged to work at Amanah Academy and I can confidently say it's an exceptional place for learning. The environment fosters not only academic growth but also a deep sense of community and respect.

One of my favourite schools ever. I went there from grade 2 to 5 from 2018-2020, nothing has beat it ever since.

i used to go to corsair and these kids threw sticks and grass/snow at me and sometimes sharp objects like fragments of glass. also theres a creepy man in the washroom so lookout. teachers and students are very rude and started poking sticks through the fence from the border between corsair and st timothy.
ps: do NOT go to metropolitiation andrei catholic school just move out of the city :)

Parents be aware: there’s a woman walking her bulldog off leash in this area and it is aggressive. School should warn all parents and children and REPORT when you see!

first of all, the grade 7s should be able to use the courtyard and also i dont know why theres no rules for recess basketball court for example we want grade 7s on one side of the court and grade 6s on the other or younger kids.

As a student that is currently going to high school i am happy i will be leaving the school. While going here i was mocked and bullied and the teachers did not care and never helped me while i was bullied. We are constantly mistreated i would not reccomend this school

I was forced to come to this school back in 2021 when I was in grade 9. The second I stepped a foot in the building, the place just didn't look close to an actual school. The elementry students were so imature and disrespectful especially to the teachers and students way older then them, they basically acted liked they owned the place. The school was also soft and never suspended or expelled anyone which did affect me since the elementry students straight up acted like wild animals and never listened to teachers, made fun of them, and also bullied the students twice there age. I also remember one guy who was 18 and completed hifz came to Amanah. At first I thought he would come out to be a well mannered and humble guy, but he came out to be a 6 year old trapped inside of an 18 year old grown man and he would beat little kids and bother my classmates and targeted me the most and even the teachers straight up just wanted him gone, but again the owner never did anything so he stayed the entire year ruining everyones school year (mines the most) and got expelled when he slamed the door on the owners face leaving me to hate the school even more for not doing anything about him when he first started causing trouble. To sum everything up, I entered grade 11 after summer ended, but the school planed everything last minute meaning that the first day of every school year is when they order text books and organize everything. Literly me and some other guy ( By the way there were no grade 12 students and there was like 2 students in grade 11 which was me and another student) had to help the teachers help set up chairs and desks and distribute text books on our first day which is kind of absurd since I am trying to take my education seriously and having to waste a whole day is not a great start to my grade 11 year. Later the owner of the school told my parents that 2 student in a whole grade were not going to be enough to pay the teachers they were hiring so he decided to tell my parents that they will shut down grade 11 really late which led me to me to switch schools and causing me to fall behind. Later, I requested for my transcript and took him 3 days to send it and when he did, he somehow messed it up so I had to visit the school a second time and asked him to fix my transcript which wasted more of my time and now I am a whole month behind. Cant believe I spent 2 years in this school and wasting about $9000 and this is what they had to offer. If you read this review all the way, my advise is to never even think of going to this school.

great school.. highly recommended 👌

We have been attending Stagecoach Mississauga and Oakville for 6 years and have nothing but wonderful things to say. Our children run to class and come out smiling, singing and dancing. The staff are all incredible and talented and it makes for a very positive and wholesome result.

Stagecoach offers a wonderful experience with the right balance of fun and creativity. My daughter is always excited to attend singing, acting, drama class and has developed confidence in public speaking and stage performances. Tosha and her staff provide a respectful, fun environment for the kids. I highly recommend this program and absolutely enjoy watching the kids dedication and discipline shining through with these entertaining stage performances.

Our kid is 9y, and in her 4th year of Stagecoach. It is consistently a wonderful experience for her and she looks forward to it every week. The quality of programming and instructors is top-notch, and as a parent I also very much appreciate how organized and well run the admin end of things is. Highly recommend!

We are very grateful to Stagecoach Mississauga for its amazing program. Since attending Stagecoach’s regular season session as well as summer camp, our daughter has become more confident with performing and presenting - whether it’s on stage, at school or as part of a sports program. Thank you Tosha!!

This school was soo bad the in the first week i had came from a differnt school and one of my civic teacher i dident finish my assinment on time and she screamed at me soo bad that i cried in the washroom for 2 hours and when my friend stood up for me and told other teachers she was really mad at me and at the end i still felt bad so i said sorry but she screams at every kid. And other teachers dident know how to explain or teach properly. One of my friend had soo much trauma because of this school how do u expect a child to go to this school and learn properly when the teachers are the problem

Teachers are very rude, totally agree with other parents. Complained so many times but nothing is done.

I attended HNMCS from grade 5-12 and it was such an amazing experience. The school provides you with so much opportunity to grow and develop in such a healthy and close knit community. From the vast extracurriculars I participated in all eight years, to the leadership trips, the classes and some of the most amazing teachers I’ve ever had, I absolutely loved my time at the school and reminisce on those days all the time. HNMCS prepared me for university so well, I felt confident going into post-secondary school, and was determined to lead my way through my four years of my undergrad. I am a proud alumna of Holy Name and I cannot wait to see the school grow further and inspire new generations of female leaders!

Came from America and my daughter transitioned into this school she loves it and likes it alot more then her old school.

I adore this school genuinely, the staff & the peers! I enrolled at the age of 4 heading up to grade 7 for the French Immersion Program. Though, It was hard learning French on top of 2 speaking languages at home, most teachers are there to help you grow and develop your skills and knowledge! It was an incredible honour meeting every single one of my teachers between 2007-2016. I love their work! I hope the school continues to help students flourish in the Early & Late French Immersion Program.
It's an honour to be your alumni ☺️

Very bad education

My sister had a birthday party here and we couldn’t have had a better time! The finished product turned out great and the process was very fun! I would recommend these parties for all ages!

We are so glad we made the right choice choosing Holy Name Of Mary college school to educate our one and only daughter. Our daughter joined the school grade 8 in September. it is interesting to express that our daughter is always happy going to school daily. Our great joy for such a school that provides a balance of academics, engaging extracurricular activities, sports, highly qualified and amazing staff, always ready to support the girls academically and providing opportunities for the girls to become confident, successful and compassionate women in today’s world. We will choose the school over and over again. Thank you for all you do.

As a parent of a child who goes to this school, my experience has been nothing short of delightful. A well established Islamic school with great facilities.
Besides the desired Islamic environment and upbringing, the school focuses on the holistic development of students. They have a robust education system with a strong curriculum and do not slack in the extracurricular activities either. On top of this, the management is always available and open to feedback.

Very disappointed with this business. We had paid and enrolled in a PA day in November. My daughter was exhibiting COVID symptoms. We asked if we could reschedule to the next PA day in January and they would only give us a partial credit gift card ($129 to $84). We tried to use this gift card for the PA day next week only to find out it EXPIRED in December and they are not calling us as we requested. Definitely not interested in giving them any more of our business for future PA days, camps or birthday parties. It's unfortunate as my daughter has just begun to really love creating art.

The class is good but the staff sometimes give misleading information. It happened more than one time that the staff asked me to go to pick the artwork of my kid next day at specific time (like 10am - 4 pm). But when I arrived there, the door is locked and no one was inside. I called but just got the 'full voice message box' answer.

As a student that currently goes here, absolutely love this school! I love how kind and supportive the staff are to their students! For Jr. High, options are really fun. Highly recommend foods if you going for options. The library is really cozy and I love it! I also love how the kinder garden classrooms establish the school is a safe space for 2SLGBTQIA+ because it's great to teach children that they are safe and that they are supported at a young age. I over all love how amazing the school is decorated and staffed and I hope it stays this way! Incredible place!

My siblings and l were some of the first students to begin in Sept. 1962 at St.Timothy Elementary School after it's opening. Prior to that we were housed at St. Catherine of Siena Elementary School. My maiden name was Siemons. Siblings Peter, Alice, Kathy and Mary.
St. Timothy's was a single rectangular building. No Gymnasium or Library. We used a certain classroom for each. Otherwise outdoors mostly in descent weather. There was any open orchard on the North side of the school, not fenced off. The office got plenty of phone calls from the property owner. LOL 😆
There were water fountains outside along the South side of the school towards the back (these fountains were actually attached to a sink back then, next to the mechanical room).
The office entrance was strangely at the back on the North side as well. No Queensway Avenue back then, just field. My age presently is 65 years old. I still live in Mississauga which was Cooksville Oh, so long ago !

I give this school a one star in terms of the elementary school teachers (or just K-6 teachers vaguely; there's pretty much only one bad teacher from grade 7-9). There were only a select few I, as a student, believe were good (probably around 1-3). The rest were absolute garbage. They treat the outcast students as outcast students and are so obvious with their favorite students. I had a terrible experience as a division 1 student and division 2 student. The teachers in those divisions have little to no tolerance (some do, but very few), and won't care to help your child understand the school material.
Some teachers just aren't willing to change and won't take your school children seriously. If you don't want to be around the children, why apply for the job? I'm speaking as a former student at this school, I definitely do not recommend this school for any children going into K-6.
The office ladies are also very far from kind. They are very passive-aggressive and yell at children firmly.

Holy Name of Mary College school - Mississauga is such a wonderful school filled with Educators that really care for the girls. My daughter has thrived not only Academically but also she has an extended family community where she has felt safe and taken care of.
The staff works tremendously hard to help the girls with their studies and I have seen great work from my daughter since attending HNMCS. She has not only thrived academically but she has also become a confident young women!

We can’t say enough about Stage Coach! The teaching staff is professional yet so fun and their love for children and the arts shines through. The shows are creative and entertaining. Thank you so much for creating an environment for our kids to grow not only their talents, but their confidence and friendships as well.

My children have both attended the program here and it was such an enriching, confidence-building experience for them both. Teachers are professional, engaging and so talented. The shows were amazing! They loved it!

My son was 2 years old when he started in the Toddler class with Ms Alona and Ms Elizabeth. Excellent routine, Montessori materials, and teaching. Ms Alona has a Masters in Biology, but boy is she gifted with young children. Using her soft and gentle manner, I've seen her speak with my son with such patience and clarity that he responds in kind and so well to any direction or redirection. I've also seen my son give big hugs to both Ms Elizabeth and Alona: this place truly cares for the children and also treats the parents and children like a family and community. (I contacted them 3 months, and 2 years after my son left, and they still remembered and asked about BOTH my kids!)
In addition, I was pregnant when my son started school, and the teachers were sensitive to not only my doctor's appointments ( there were times I had to keep my son longer than expected) but also when the baby finally arrived, they took care to give my son the extra attention he needed. I could not be any more grateful for for my son's first experience with school to be at Prince Edward Montessori. Any child would be lucky to attend this outstanding school!

went to this school for idk 6 years? every moment was the best. there were so many awesome field trips and clubs to join, the teacher were amazing as well, the principle super nice, i remember doing Christmas concerts and stuff there, best experience ever. one of the teachers i cant remember his name but he would pretend to stable me and my friends to the wall. he was funny probably my favorite teacher OTHER then the music teacher ofc, she was also super nice, i definitely recommend going here the staff & students are both super friendly, i never had a bad experience here, oh and the daycare down below is also full of friendly people!

HNMCS was a great all girls school to attend. I attended between grade 5 and 12 and was provided numerous educational, leadership, and extra curricular opportunities, preparing me well for university. The teachers provided significant attention to the needs and abilities of each student, and were always available to help after class if necessary. Overall, I would recommend this school for girls looking to build confidence, gain strong educational experiences and prepare for university.

My daughter joined HNMCS in Grade 5 and currently is in Grade 11. During this time HNMCS has become her "home" from home. From the outset you are welcomed into the community, it will be hard to imagine a time when the school is not part of our daily lives. The staff are dedicated and tireless in the shared goal to ensure the students achieve the best in a thriving environment. As a parent I'm secure in the knowledge that my child is growing in a confident young lady ready to face the challenges of the world we live in.

Teachers are friendly and I like the smaller class sizes because the kids get a lot of attention.

Best elementary school ever!
Teachers are nice and the school uses lots of technology.
There is a dress code, but mostly for the intermediate students. There is also a parent council and many field trips allow parents to join.

Apparently from the information gleaned from the Internet, this is the biggest elementary school in British Columbia and there is a French immersion program offered here. I can't speak much for the curriculum or teaching staff as we were just here for the playgrounds which have enough variety to keep your toddlers and young children busy.

Great school, went here for grades 2/3/4 and loved it. The students are all rlly nice but the school doesn't rlly teach you all that much. I mean, the purpose of school is to teach you stuff, but this place doesn't do that so well. A plus, however, is that there are lockers here after primary. You get lockers first in grade 4 and it's nice parctise for later on in highschool. I remember how some of my friends had troubles opening their lockers, lol. I didn't cause I went to school here once, had early practise.

my daughter will be attending her first year this september 2019.
reading the recent reviews are really nice. just wondering if anyone is aware of dress code, and if there is a parent council? also process for parents attending field trips?

Very nice place!

Not one of the best but the best teacher ever works here. Mrs I I love your empathetic way of teaching. No one does it better.

I won't say it's the best, but it's alright. Some years from gr 1 to 7 were dodgy but the rest were fine. There's dust everywhere, and honestly the principal could be nicer. Already graduated, so I don't know who they have to deal with now. Anyways, I liked it being the biggest school in BC, most of the people there were kind, I guess.

Great school, staff are friendly and have the kids best interests in mind.

Some teachers at that school are fabulous and some are compleatley rude. The school is quite large and they have many activities but it does not make the school any better when the principal and teachers are rude and not in their place.
