Gooday, this is my Grandmother and i'm looking for any relatives in Canada. She's Greek origin, born in Greeceand died in Canada. If somebody know any info about her, it would be a help. The only info i have for her is the photo below. I live in Greece, Athens.
Thank you.
A bit of a sad sight.
Open old cemetery. Although it’s in the city center, it’s quiet here. I saw people come here a couple of times for a jog. The local graves are full of history... but three stars because so many of them are in very poor condition. And I’m not even talking about the fact that some texts have been almost erased (time does not spare even immortal stones), but about the fact that the graves themselves were often broken or fallen. I really hope that at least some restoration will be carried out, but for now the rating 3 is not for the place itself, but for the condition in which it is.
I called and Angela answered and she immediately sprang into action and went above and beyond helping me find my grandfathers grave site location. Sending me pictures of the exact location and directions to! You were so helpful and we appreciate the kindness!!
Called the police on the potato salad guy. Not cool

Extremely interesting and well maintained cemetery. It is the resting place of 121 victims of the Titanic disaster. I had originally gone only to see the Titanic memorial but then found the mass grave for the victims of the 1917 harbor explosion. So sad to see. I went to the maritime museum and found the exhibit of the 1917 explosion after seeing the grave.

Half of my family is here, three in the building and others in the hills. very beautiful and such a peaceful place to be laid to rest. They would be happy to know where they are today. The services that were provided in the smaller church back in 2013 + 14 were very nice, we were able to mourn and be respected.

Fantastic running or walking place. Peaceful and is rarely busy other than burial days.

The birds, butterflies, flowers, trees are beautiful.

Grounds are well maintained.

Beautiful, serene place. It’s like walking through a history book or Time Capsule with the old stones and old trees. Everything a cemetery should be.
My sisters & I were all very grateful for the Respect & Courtesy of all the Staff when we buried our mother recently . What a peaceful resting place for our ancestors.

Best decorated cemetery in Montreal in my opinion, lots and lots to see and very well decorated place!
I really enjoyed seeing the different types of beautiful graves that the dead were buried in!
Beautiful cementery. For the Titanic memorial there are signs however for the Halifax explosion you need to look for Section 2

DOB Oct 28 1933
Death January 6 1944
Buried January 8 1944
Thank you
Took a walk through the Fairview Lawn Cemetery to look at the memorial for those who lost their lives on the Titanic. I did it mostly for my son, who when he was a child, watched the movie over and over, and would cry everytime. Such a sweet angel, my boy is.

While I was there I also learned about an explosion that happened on the pier, claiming many lives in the early 1900s. Halifax is rich with history.

With some time to 'kill' in halifax, we decided to wander through this old cemetery. I have walked by many times but never went it. Viola Desmond is buried here and there is a sign marking the spot. I also saw Alexander Keith's grave. The graveyard is very interesting with many old markers that are in bad shape, but many more recent. It is a lovely spot to wander through.

Wonderful setting. Every visit is memorable. The cemetery grounds sprawl across the mountainside with lots of roadways and walkways winding through the different sections. The experience of attending a family gravesite is powerful. The gates, the buildings, the monuments: it’s a testament to tradition.
A beautiful cemetery in the heart of Halifax. his cemetery is of particular note historically as it hosts the graves of Viola Desmond, the Canadian civl-rights icon, Alexander Keith, the famous maker of Keith's beer, and Joseph Howe, Nova Scotian Premiere and journalist. It is located next to the QEII hospital, the Veterans Memorial Hospital, and the Abby J. Lane Hospital.
My late nephew (Christopher O'Callaghan Gauthier) is suppose to be buried here. Who can I contact to see if he is as there is no webpage for Camp Hill Cemetery & I would like to visit his grave site?
My late son, Connor O'Callaghan sleeps here, steps from Viola Desmond. This is one of the most beautiful cemeteries I've ever been in and I'm very thankful for this lovely place and those who attend it.
Visited as part of a titanic tour from our cruise boat. Buses cannot drive in the cemetary (which was good) but be prepared for the uphill walk back out.
The titanic section is laid out very nicely, very easy to find. Signs everywhere.
Respectfully done.
Old Jewish and Christian cemetery Visited at sunset, very peaceful place even though its a bit scary at night. Its back to 18 century , very large. Graves are modest compared to Europe cemeteries ( paris, London, Bucharest).
I've only been here to view the Titanic grave sites. Years ago when I first visited it was in better condition due to less traffic going through the area. Now, there are a lot of tour buses that bring people through it. I overheard a tour guide as he shared some of the stories. Some were accurate, others were a bit stretched (read fabricated) to make for a more entertaining story I guess. I was disappointed to be there while all of the tours came through, but if you can avoid those times it's definitely worth a visit even if you are not a Titanic enthusiast.
There are many known and unidentified victims of the Titanic tragedy buried here. It’s nicely kept and serves as a great memorial to the victims. It’s very sad and allows us to honor those people and to remember them. They deserve to be remembered.

Love the way the historical significance has been maintained. Keep up the good work.
Local muito bonito. Vale a visita se estiver passando por perto.
This Cemetery is in deplorable condition. Feb 2018. Not sure if you have Loved ones in here but I sure do... This is how the city treats our beloved...
