Terrible genetics and owners. Was promised APE & it was your run of the mill brown cubensis. Also got a spore syringe from them once and it didn’t even grow anything in grain after months. Get your genetics online from SporeSwap if you wanna take this stuff more seriously.

Got 4 spore syringes from them, 2 strains worked out very good! Did the other 2 the exact same way. Nothing happened…. No contamination or anything. Asked for replacements as 2 didn’t do anything. I was told that I will not be getting my products replaced and that I’m fine to take my money elsewhere. So just a warning. They DO NOT stand behind their products or care about their customers satisfaction

Love that they have a lot of variety in the store, but the quality is bad, every single fish I bought from this store rather had a defect, or died after a few months.
Every single miniature ranchu I got from here (and I bought them altogether) came down with swim bladder disease!
Don’t get your fish here.

I love learning and have been interested in mushrooms and the potential of mycelium for the longest time. Micheal is truly a genuine and passionate teacher on this subject and sparked a flame inside me, hearing about all that he’s done in his career.

I took the mushroom kit making class and was blown away by the depth of knowledge I was able to take away. Micheal is extremely accommodating and I would recommend anyone interested in mushrooms or just looking for a fun experience to come visit the shop and sign up for a class.

I recently visited Shroom Stop, not knowing what to expect and had a great time. The owner Mitchell was very nice and incredibly knowledgeable about mushrooms. He grows them and studies many different kinds at all stages in their growth process.

He was very friendly and explained to my girlfriend all about their growth and answered our questions. If you're looking for a place to get homegrown premium mushrooms, this is an excellent place to go!

Picked up two mushroom grow kits and was surprised at how kind and informative the staff was! Mitchell was super knowledgeable and it was great hearing about his passion. The products are awesome and great for beginners. I'll definitely be back!

Great place for mushroom cultivation products and information. I received a lot of help and information from the people at shroom stop. Prices are competitive and products are good quality. The company has a good idea on what they would like to do for more than just the mushroom world. Overall a great experience.

Not the biggest fan of eating mushrooms, they kinda gross me out. But decided to try my hand at growing them just for fun.

Turned into one of my favourite hobbies!

The staff here are super chill, and pretty knowledgable when it comes to growing, or anything else mushrooms related. Gave me a lot of advice and tolerated my surface level understanding of growing mushrooms.

We bought all the fish for my son's community tank here. Great prices, and so far have had great luck with the quality of the fish. We've been here a few times and one staff member was so helpful in choosing the fish combinations that would suit our tank. The arrowanas here are beautiful as well. No tax if you pay cash.
Taking a star off though because there's not enough staff to help you when the place is busy (weekends).

Was try to buy couple plants for my fish tank, but doesn’t know much on how to maintain it. Ask the owner there and he told me some tips and told me that their store is on its 5th anniversary, most of the items are 10-30% off. I bought the plant, soil plus some maintenance supplies and now I have a nice aquarium at home.

This was a great alternative fish store especially when you compare it to big Al's. They don't have a big of a selection as big Al's however they do have a great selection of arowana and some larger fish. They do have decent prices on plants and have a large selection of tanks. The table are clean , they have decent selection of fish , and the fish look healthy.

They also have a decent amount of rocks and wood.

Staff is decent , they arnt rude however they are not entirely fluent in English but passable so be aware of that.

Smaller stores can't provide the same level of customer service as a bigger chain like Big Al's.

Really impressed from start to finish. They promptly answered my email request and called on a weekend to confirm the start of Monday morning. Adonay, our cleaning tech, showed up on time and did a thorough job. Throughout the day he showed before and after pics (what a difference!) and even stayed late to help resolve an issue with our thermostat that was the fault of our electrician (we are undergoing renos and our thermostat was moved). The quality of the work and high degree of professionalism are worth the premium over services that simply vacuum your ductwork.
