Thalasserry biryani had no taste at all, the quality has come down to bad levels . It had no salt, the chicken wasnt cooked well or anything. The people over there are nice but that doesn’t make up to the money i paid for the below average biriyani.

This was the worst takeout ever we have taken. We bought beef curry and chill chicken from this place. My 7year son was the first person to eat beef curry. Then we realized that the food was stale and bubbles were appearing on the curry, it smelled very bad too. Moreover, curry was soo oily and spicy. My kid started throwing up after sometime, I will never recommend this place to anyone.
Today I tried the Christmas platter from taste of malayalees. It was more than enough for 4 persons, specially chicken roast was amazing. I also tried the beef coconut fry and biriyani. Both are too good. Service was excellent. They did an exceptional role in handling the busy hours.
Got take out several times and got sick a day after eating it. This happened on two occasions.
At first I thought it could have been something else, but the second time revealed this take out place was the cause. Never again!

It was not just me, others in my family got sick too. I am surprised I don't see more reviews in here like this.

I hate to give 1 star reviews and always want to support small businesses, but this is absolutely unacceptable.
I recently had a wonderful experience at Taste of Malayalees on Dixie Road, Canada. The Chicken Biryani and Crab Curry were flavorful highlights, along with delightful snacks that made my visit truly worthwhile. The food quality exceeded expectations, showcasing the chef's mastery in South Indian cuisine. Beyond the excellent cuisine, the impeccable service from the attentive and friendly staff added to the overall satisfaction of my experience. I highly recommend Taste of Malayalees to anyone seeking authentic South Indian flavors and a memorable culinary journey.

Food was delicious and flavourful. Had the Fish Nirvana and Kerala paratha. Fish was bone-in which may be off putting to some that aren’t used to it.

Heard quite a bit about this restaurant so we decided to try it out.
Visited it for lunch ordered a thali got a mixture of veggies, (floppy )papadum. The young lady was very nice to give us a crisp one ( at no extra charge) a small utensil of fish curry ( not very tasty and stale fish ), a dessert (sorry not sure what it was) a small milk cup not sure what it was too a ton of rice
An experience (I would not recommend personally) maybe would try if someone could help me out with what’s what
A ton of rice
A total price just under 16$
Good food, home-cooked style taste. Enjoyed the food, they also have a grocery attached, cramped but has alot of authentic things which is great.

Excellent south Indian food. Everything was well spiced and not too spicy. The Masala dosa, fish biryani, and combo plate were really good. Service took a bit long, but well worth the wait.

Was taken to this small unique restaurant serving food from Kerala, called KAIRALI, in Scarborough. Family run restaurant, the owner was so helpful in guiding us to what food we should eat. The ambience is great. We tried their very thali, a kind of a dal, rice, roti and pickles along with a green vegetable, a beet root chutney and topped with Payesam. (Very tasty sweet dish). Tried their Appam, ( a kind of roti make from rice). I have had better and softer Appams so that was a disappointment. But top marks for taste. Definitely a place to explore more dishes from time to time.

Visited Kairali again. A good place is hard to resist. The same great food but they have worked on their presentation and they have a band new Menu!!! Wow!

Great place to pick up delicious South Indian food & snacks - definitely try the 2 fish curries, fried anchovies, onion bhajis, beef curry, parathas. All this is within a grocery story that could be organized a little better. Another item to check out is the packaged banana chips. Lots of parking available in the front.
