Had an amazing time! My husband and I decided to do this for a date and it was the best decision ever! Khadija went through all the steps very well and made both of us feel so comfortable! We ended up with 2 mugs that look great! Overall great experience and I would definitely recommend.
Had a blast with Tony! Was a great and wonderful experience. Definitely learned a lot on the time spent at the class. Liked the fact that we were able to just get our small group in there to do some pottery work, Tony was very tentative to the 4 of us.

Definitely a nice way to spend a Sunday night.
Please save your time, money and patience and go ANYWHERE else!

We initially did the private pottery class and had an okay experience. The instructor was friendly and explained the process to us, but it wasn't as hands on as we expected. After our pottery class, everything went downhill.

We made an appointment to paint our pieces and were booked in with Khadija. She set us up at the table and showed us the paints and that's about it. There was no instruction or direction on how the studio's paints worked, how many layers were necessary, how the paints would dry down, etc. After showing us the table, Khadija went into the office and shut the door for the remainder of our appt. She did not check in on us or see if we needed help. If we had a question, we had to go knock on the door and ask, after which she promptly shut the door again. Once we were done, we placed our pieces in a box with our name and phone #, as instructed. We were told the pieces would be ready the following week for pick up.

Booking an appt to pick up our pieces was a mess! We were initially able to book an appt, which was then cancelled by the studio last minute. We tried to reschedule a new appt., but their online booking system was showing no availability for the rest of the year. After countless phone calls, texts and emails, we were finally able to book an appt to pick up our pieces.

Unfortunately for us, some of our pieces were missing at the time of pick up. Khadija insisted that maybe we miscounted our pieces and didn't actually paint them (LOL). Thankfully, I walked around the studio and saw our missing pieces sitting in a cabinet, not yet fired (picture attached). At this point, instead of accepting some sort of accountability or responsibility, Khadija accused us of misplacing the pieces and separating them from our other pieces. We had 7 pieces in total and I fail to comprehend why we would put 4 of them in a box with our name and phone #, and the other 3 in a cabinet at the back of the studio...

We now have all our completed pieces but unfortunately, one is broken and was not fixed by the studio as promised (picture attached). I cannot bother with having it fixed at this point and do not have the capacity to deal with the rude, dismissive, and unprofessional staff at Artventures.

Please do your due diligence and a find a better studio for what *should* be an enjoyable experience.

**Response to Artventures**

It’s disappointing that it took a Google review to get a response from you.

Yes, we booked a group class and no one else booked the same time slot as us. Please don’t characterize this as a “free upgrade” or a favour to us. No one else showed up!

I also don’t see the relevance of other studios’ processes and how that negates our experience at your studio. Instead of deflecting, I suggest reading the feedback your customers are leaving and using that to make changes and improve your business. Thank you for the offer to redo the broken piece, but we are not interested in returning.
We had a blast! Went for a sisters night and it was exactly what we needed. Tony was our instructor and he was great. Helpful, funny and encouraging throughout the entire process. Would recommend to beginners or those with more experienced. Very relaxing environment, I look forward to going back.
Had the best time making a candlelight holder. Was such a fun and happy atmosphere. The instructor Tony was so kind and sweet and made this the best experience. I highly recommend for a cute and relaxing time :)

Very good experience! This is the first time for my girlfriend and I to make clay sculptures, but Tony has been very helpful to us, answering our questions patiently throughout the whole process, and helping us to complete the work. We'll come back in three weeks and bake our clay sculptures, see ya
Tony went above and beyond to make a memorable pottery experience for my husband and I. He has a great sense of humour and guided (and assisted) us every step of the way. He also stayed over 30 minutes late as we meticulously smoothed out our pottery. I would highly recommend Artventures to anyone looking for a fun activity with a fantastic host!
My friend and I went to a clay throwing class with Kelsey and it was such a fun and unique activity! Kelsey was fantastic at explaining the techniques and helping us on the wheel. Then we got to hand make a few other items using the clay. Can’t wait to go back in a few weeks to paint and fire the pieces. Would definitely recommend as a fun class with friends or a date night!
