Great older rink. Played some pickup hockey. Changerooms are small but the showers in room 3 were unexpectedly clean, bright and spacious. The ice was in perfectly good shape but it took a couple.extra minutes to dry after scraping.
My favorite part about coming here to watch my man play hockey---- is B-lining it to the coin machines and loading up my pockets with yummy candy, gumballs and toys to bring home for the kids!!!! SUPPORT LOCAL and meet me at the gumball machine.... ;)
Very pleasant and clean and free for Saturday open swim! I was a bit disappointed that the women's shower area has no privacy dividers.
A nice older recreation complex. The ice hockey rink has a display of old famous players. The locker rooms are nice but not overly large. There is a pool and a couple of ball fields here as well.

Centrally located with ample parking in the back makes it an easy place to visit.
A functional recreational complex with a swimming pool, hockey ice rink, skating area, gym, sauna, Weight and cardio room, free public WiFi.

The indoor swimming pool is heated and it's 7.5 feet deep and the shallow end 3.5feet with lifeguards constantly on site. Group fitness with cardio strength, Zumba, Yoga, Aquafitness schedules, different swimming schedules which include lane swim and public swim, skating schedules for adults, family and public skating. There is also a nice hockey 🏒 rink on site. ♿ The complex entrances, restrooms, the amenities and parking spaces are all wheel chair accessible with clear signages across the facility. The access registration fee is reasonable and flexible.

The facility is well maintained, they keep to the timing of their schedules and the staff members are of great help. Expansive on-site parking to accomodate a lot of vehicles durimg peak periods.
You don't worry about uou stuff being stolen as lockers and pool are behind locked doors lol. Went here for aquafit everyone there liked it. One big pool with shallow and deep ends and a dry sauna.
Its a good place operated by Calgary transit & library. They screen the your documents and let you know if you can avail benefits in regards to Calgary transit. Its a busy place one should have 3-4 hours to complete the whole process. They can be a little more organized.
Pretty nice pool, but I would say only for kids. Big changing rooms, with 1 dollar token, very nice. Lots of showers and big area for changing clothes. You can get some snacks there as well!
It's kind of cool. I like the architecture, and that the lockers give you your dollar back. The water park looks fun. However, there's no lane swimming when little kids have lessons. I'd really like to have a swim while jr learns
As someone on a fixed low income, I found their Fare Entry services second to none!
No six hour line up's like City Hall to renew annually. Over the top kindness by staff. I will make the trek to this out of the way facility each and every time because of their professional and polite courtesy. Really nice to be treated so kindly, thank you!
The pool looked great from the window! Tried to go for my son's first birthday. We waited for over 2 hours to get in because they were at capacity. When we arrived, we were the ONLY ones there. Then, people with passes started to come. That's the "express" line, as in it does not matter how long us "regular" patrons were there, they automatically got in first no matter what. After watching about 7 groups of pass holders be able to enter the pool while we stood there waiting with babies, we left. Heard this pool was good, it's definitely popular! Maybe one day we'll get the opportunity to try it.
Haven't visited the pool since I was a kid and now I'm bringing my kids! Still as fun as I remember. There is something for every age except lap swimming. Unfortunately they had a lack of life guards at the pool which made them restrict the number of people in the pool. We waited an hour before being allowed to go in.

Other dry facilities like the weight room and gymnasium had no issues getting in. They let you skip the line if you were not using the pool.
Went for ice skating its same arena as ice hockey. For 2 adult costed us $12.04.
Neat and clean washroom, huge swimming pool, everywhere smelling like chlorine. Overall an average place not huge complex but good.
Great big gym located in a massive complex and I like that there are hardly any people mid week, mid day. Lots of machines to try to improve your health or 'beef up' and everybody seems to be so quiet and polite, nothing like the awfully loud, entitled people screaming in their languages as I used to hear in central London, in UK. Nowadays, if you want civilised people you have to move away from the massive cities. Also, they have got a great offer for 10 passes, never expiring, especially when you get regularly sick for many months, what is not to love? Saving money.
A great sports center, pool, gym, ice rink, dynamic music, sports bar, I love it, perfect place to fully enjoy the weekend!
Very nice pool and great setting for children and parents. It would be nice to have soap in the showers and a spinner to dry the bathing suits. Also, a very long walk from the change rooms to the pool on a slippery floor. Any way to make it less dangerous?
What a great facility for sports, make me envy their resident to have good time with their family
Thank you to great one to give us such a gem
They have their own hall of fame! Fantastic!!
The pool is fun, the lifeguards were very attentive.
However, here's my issue:
The slide sign says kids 3-8 must be with an adult. I confirm with the lady at the bottom that this means my 8 year old (who does not feel ready to go alone) can go with me. Yes, absolutely.
We do this 3 times.
4th time, the monitor at the top says we can't go together because she's too old.
I say she's 8.
She's too old.
We've done it 3 times.
She's too old.
So I talk to the original monitor I spoke to at the bottom and she says they get lots of questions and different employees interpret it differently.
No. That's ridiculous. This is so basic and should 100% be consistent.

The kicker is that when my daughter did feel ready to go alone, she went and I waited for the green light and then I went.
Despite her trying to keep herself going, it was so slow for her that I caught up to her. I was going super fast and it was pure luck that I saw her in time to turn myself sideways, put my arms and legs on the sides of the slide and slow myself enough that I only bumped her slightly.
This ice arena is outstanding! I was here for a tournament in the area and most of our games were hosted here.

The facility is absolutely stunning and massive. There is even a public pool in the sports complex. It’s the nicest arena I’ve ever been to and I’ve probably been to around 100.

I recommend making the visit here. It’s unreal.
The complex is very new and clean and big. However, the 3 out old the 4 hockey arena spectacular area are inadequate. They are small and the rinks are not very bright.
The facility, especially for a city the size of Brantford is amazing!! 4 ice pads, good sized lobby, bar with seating to watch main ice pad, upstairs with walking track and standing room for main ice pad, Source For Sports on site, good sized dressing rooms.....the ONLY thing holding it back from 5 stars are the benches. Most newer rinks have benches spaced to allow U8/U9 half ice to function normally, because they don't, U8/U9 half-ice boards force one team to stand beside the benches which makes it obviously difficult to coach through glass. For that age group, it's a huge deal.
Great facility, rinks are good and bright. 2 stars because the public bathrooms are terrible. Consistently the floors in front of the urinals are wet and sticky and the sinks are just as bad. A quick mop and a wipe every couple hours would do the trick…
I had the opportunity of bringing my granddaughter to her swimming lesson today and I was very impressed with the facility but even more so with the helpful, friendly staff. Well done….👍
Used the hall to feed vets and cadets on November 11. Great building.
We have been using Walter Baker facilities for over 30 years! Our children used it and now our grandchildren are using it!! Well organized and in great shape! Nice staff.
I saw my friends hockey game here and he won so its 5 stars. Also my brother works here at the front desk he’s a little annoying but he’s also chill. If you go right now (oct 18) they have a jar to guess the amount of candies to win them
I enjoy going to activities at Twerlligar because it is close to home. I participate in Pilates, Essentrics, Yoga, Living Fit, Cycle and Pickleball and am pleased with all instructors. My concerns are that if attitude of certain attendees who behave rudely during classes and activities. They are late in arriving, insist on relocating yourself to accommodate them because they are late, yet there is plenty of room towards the back, do not cleanse their equipment after usage, interrupt and speak while the instructor is conducting a class, return items to the bin while the instructor is still teaching, remove names from a set game for pickleball, which leaves players with no one to play with due to their favoritism, etc. I find this all rude and disrespectful and, therefore, a reminder should be noted on the wall for everyone's sake. Or the instructor should say something at the front end of the class or at the end. I'm aware there is a billboard on the pickleball court and most participants can read English, but choose to ignore message. Their attitude and aggressiveness ruins it for others who are there to have fun and not simply to compete.
Needs some major renovation. The place hasn't changed in years and the locker rooms look like they belong in a third world country.
Pretty good gym facility. I'll be coming here over GoodLife; GoodLife is just way too expensive now. More equipment at terwillegar than the last time I came a number of years ago. The facility is starting to show signs of aging though. Not a fan of the lockers with codes, I'd rather use my own lock but I can see there being less chances of someone breaking into lockers this way.

Plenty of parking in the evening. When hockey season is on, parking is very challenging.

Rates are very reasonable. If you are a City employee or get city discounts with your employer it's worth getting a pass. Best deal out there now.
Been wanting to write this review for a while.
Amazing swimming instructors at this facility. My preschooler did two levels here after doing one at a different City of Ottawa facility.
I can say the swimming instructors at the WBSC are AMAZING and really take the lessons seriously and do their best to make sure the little ones are comfortable and learning as well as having fun! We’ve had Kate, Sara and Autumn and all three of them were Wonderful! Keep up the good work :)
First time in the building so I had trouble finding my way around. It's a very busy place and there's lots of Happy families coming and going. I was there to volunteer at a health fair upstairs in the food court. Very clean and well kept location. Very large parking lots seem to be always full so you may need to park far from the door.
One of the best Recreational Centres in Ottawa. Their swimming pool timings for public is more convenient for working people. Clean and well maintained hot-tube and sauna are added bonus at this centre when compared to other centres.
Pool pretty nice and the community itself is one of a kind !!
SOME of the staff were helpful towards me today when my bag was stolen in the locker room and my car keys wallet and ID were all taken. What bothers me most is the fact that this facility has had a car stolen from this place last Thursday same instance..many other cars stolen by a 14 year old boy and there isn't a single warning notice or information about this to keep people aware and it keeps happening! Where is the prevention action taken by the city or the facility to keep its members and users safe from theft??? I'm so upset that this person has my address and the key to my vehicle. It's just a headache to replace the cards etc but they know where I live and can come take my car whenever.

I will never visit this place again.
Big facility. Coming soon. Put those electronic devices away and read a book. You will be able to borrow a book from the Brantford Public Library located across from the Hall of Fame. Another reason to get your library card.
Nice place and good friendly staffs. Huge field at the back for baseball, football etc. Enjoy!
Great facility with big pool facility, ideal for people of all ages. Lifeguards are friendly and willing to help. Only thing is that pool change rooms need a bit of an upgrade.
Great pool. Looking for a good outdoor pool where you can swim in the deep end though. Diving was fun though I guess.
My husband and I waited in line for 10 minutes to purchase memberships. We were the only people in line and when it was our turn, the staff member Anna, put up the register CLOSED sign and left (presumably to go for lunch as it was 11:40)
Thankfully staff member Karen W. offered to help us even though she wasn’t responsible for registration.
Karen was amazing, very professional,
and went over and above to help us out. (She had witnessed Anna’s poor and unprofessional treatment of us.)

Thank you Karen W. for being so kind and helpful.

The facility is excellent and we will continue to enjoy it.
This is my favourite rec centre in the city. It has ample parking, both regular and accessible. It's always clean and so many people use it that has to be hard. I never have a bad experience here. I love their pool, likely the best in the city. Wave pool, lazy river, diving pools, sauna, hot tub... ample amenities at this location. The staff are always friendly and understanding as well.
A very well maintained water complex, there are swimming classes for all ages. The lockers are clean.
Good place to go for casual people like myself. Gym is not perfect, but it's better than the ones I've been so far. They have enough equipment that I hardly need to wait to use something, even on peak hours. Changing room need some loving though, I advise wearing flipflops or something. Never been in the pools but steam room is nice. What sold me is the fact that if I want to cancel my membership it's hassle free.
I don’t live in the south but love coming here.
There is a swimming pool, 3 gyms, workout centre and 4 hockey rinks. Parking can be hard in the winter time because of the hockey tournament.
Thus us our swimming hole on a daily

We went for an ALPS dive meet and loved the pool and the friendly staff!
The pool
is very clan and bathroom are super clan
The water is sooo cold washrooms are Dirty u can't even Use them. Showers are dirty Also. This pool should be close !!!!
Drove 2hrs to visit steamy p00. It was a wonderful experience, for the most part. The steamy p00 as described was indeed very steamy, and there was a fair amount of p00, which pleased me. However, due to not having a great memory, I left my sunroof open. When I returned, there was also steamy p00 in my vehicle. During the process of wiping it up off my center console and seats, I suffered some pretty bad steam burns from the p00, and the smell lingered for the drive home. Hands down, I would return, but make sure all my windows are closed. The staff were pleasant. Expectations of the steamy p00 on my windshield were surpassed. Highly recommend making the trip to get steamy p00 on your windshield!
2 times I came here and they don't accept me ..my child crying and they don't have any tolerance..personal who is working there they are unrespectfull..Where should we report this staff..they are so rude.
Our everyday spot now, especially for our infant who spends time in the play room and the kiddie pool. Massive facility, staff is mostly good barring a few grumpy people. Facilities are good, can be maintained a bit better. Changing rooms at the pool need cleaning more often, kids tend to pee in there and it's nasty sometimes ! Also, when you get out of the pool, there is a cold draft of air , making it extremely uncomfortable, wish someone could fix it. These are the only reasons I am giving this a 4/5.
A great facility with a huge swimming pool, fancy water slide, gym, and much more. Reception staff are very kind and helpful.

good pool
Great place!
Nice pool, relatively clean, Life guards are a little young but very alert and vigilant.
Never reachable.. They put people on hold indefinitely to hang up at the end. Shame on you!!

I know some people might be apprehensive about visiting this pool because of the negative views on Jane and Finch. It is very clean, a good size and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. They interact with the kids and even teach some basic water skills. The pool is never crowded which I love.

Good pool. Not super crowded. Outdoor pool. Clean pool. Canteen is near the pool.
Clean. Big enough for recreative purposes, amazing for doing laps too. Showers not available now, though. Changing rooms are shared. Bring cash for the entrance fee. Bring a swimming cap too!

Very disappointed, too many people especially the quantity of children using the pool, out of control.
Very great swimming pool!! Clean. The staff are very friendly!!
Pool with lifeguards, for free! What more could you want? The slide is not working right now, but there is some shade under the trees. Everyone is very friendly.
Driftwood Outdoor Pool is one of my families goto outdoor pools. The guards are vigilant and friendly. We always have fun while swimming here.
Life guards are very attentative and are doing a great job however the bathrooms are horrible / dirty. The pool badley needed to be skimmed it was full of dead bugs. I guess you can't expect much for a free entrance. No designated spot for eating, you can't eat at all on the premises. No pic nic tables. Maybe 2 or 3 lawn chairs.
Good place but i wish that the swimming time for adult 25m pool not between 9 to 10 pm during week but before that time cause its too late .thanks
I loved going there with my kids last summer (2018). However, this is an outdoor pool, not indoor. Thwy have great gym facilities and other activities for ppl of all ages.
It's a nice pool to just relax on the grass and grab some sunshine. Very crowded on hot days obviously.
I love this place i used to go to swim in the winter when I used to live in front of the Leonardo davinci.. Now I bring my kid here for his swim lessons and the staff is friendly...

I love this place!! The great view, the sunshine, it's beautiful!!
Very nice and clean.
Nice swimming pool, there is a pool for babies as well. No food allowed, but very close by there are few places where to get food.
Basic but nice outdoor pool. Great for the kids to chill and cool off on a hot day. There is also a grassy area near the pool for lying around in the sun. Lifeguards were very attentive and doing a fantastic job.

Great community pool with lots of activities, lessons and events
Nice pool, but they really need shower curtains for their changing stalls. No privacy as it is. Fathers with young daughters come in the women's locker room, as well as male life guards.
You got three pull down there one for beginners one to do laps and you got springboard to jump and you got another one just to play and I have fun for adult and youngster nice place to go
