The Jost Bürgi exhibition is a must!
Went there right when it was opened. The staff member was really kind and helpful. No physical objects.

Difficult to enjoy when information is provided only in German. Do yourself a favour and go to the history museum in Zurich instead. Half the price, better information, more to see....
I cannot imagine how big this museum is until I spent 2 hours in it and didn't have the chance to look at each item yet. You should spend half of your day here looking at the exhibitions of biology, culture and art.
Ich finde diese Bildschirmpolitik dieses Museums etwas komisch, es gibt fast Nichts, das wirklich im Museum vorhanden ist. Das Meiste wird virtuell gezeigt und deshalb ist der Besuch dort für einige eher mager.
Ich bedanke mich für die ausführlichen Berichte, die man auf den Bänken in diesen Räumen geniessen kann.
Die Freundlichkeit des Personals ist eine tolle Ergänzung zu den Filmen.

This museum, besides being located in a lovely park, provides an regularly changing offer of insightful, historic exhibitions. Worth ones time, whenever one wishes to leran more about St. Gallen and its history.
Unglaublich tolles und gut gestaltetes kleines Museum. Es befindet sich zwar in einer kleinen Gasse und man geht quasi ein normalen Hauseingang nach oben in die zweite Etage, dort erwartet man aber ein voll digitales Museum mit sehr vielen Information zum Zunftwesen in Zürich.
Das Museum besteht nur aus einem Eingangsraum mit Zeitstrahl und Videos aus verschiedenen Jahren sowie 3 öffentlichen Räumen mit verschiedenen Videoprojektionen (Bildschirme, Beamer), welche die Geschichte direkt erzählen!
Sehr empfehlenswert und mit dem Zürichpass auch kostenlos.

Small but interesting museum. We specifically went for the Klimt exhibition which was rather disappointing, as it featured one painting by Klimt and then a whole lot if other stuff we didn't understand as it was all in German. Not the museum's fault of course, but we did love the one Klimt painting of a flowering garden.
Excellent museum which gives a good overview of many periods. Some very good history local St. Gallen history, from prehistoric period until the 19th and 20th centuries. Everything is well explained in German. I particularly liked the exhibit on the plight of the Native Americans.
The only downside is that the exhibit contains artefacts from other continents and peoples and I suspect not all of these were acquired in a fair and just way. But I did not research this, I simply know it to be the case with many anthropological and historical exhibits with items from Latin American, African, and Asian peoples.

Informativ, kurzweilig, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter - definitiv ein Besuch wert!
One of the most unique museums I've been. A wide range of interesting exhibition with both historical and contemporary items, illustrating both local and foreign cultures, with quite some interactive items. We spent several hours in this museum, and all of us are impressed by the fun and enlightening experience.
Wenn du über das Zunftwesen der Stadt Zürich informiert werden willst ist das eine super Adresse. Auch die Video Instalationen sind echt gut gemacht und intressant.
Das spezielle Museum. Ein Ort ohne Ausstellungsgegenstände und trotzdem haufenweise Infos. Ein Besuch lohnt sich. Offen immer am Sonntag
Sehr sympathische Bedienung und eine (fast) zu grosse Auswahl an Menüs die allesamt mit viel Liebe zum Detail serviert werden. Das Team an der Front versprüht südländisches Flair und schafft es mit viel Charme ein tolles Kulinarisches Erlebnis zu haben
