Pretty neat and big world class airport. The international terminal has everything you might find anywhere else, restaurants and coffeeshops, lounges, clean restrooms, travelators etc. The only thing I missed are drinking water fountains, even though the internet says you can drink tap water in Chile, some people would prefer a better option than filling bottles in the restrooms.
Unfortunately the airport is not accessed by the great public transit system in Santiago. Ubers are a good option, but as of February 2024 they don't have a designated area for ride sharing drivers to pick you up as they do in other countries, so you might get a message in Spanish from them to arrange a meet up spot which is usually at the departure hall (second floor). The other terminal (domestic) is not in such a great shape on the other hand, but it's not terrible either, it just needs to undergo some renovations and modernization.
I recently visited the Arturo Merino Benitez Airport and was pleasantly surprised by the major improvements it has undergone over the years. The new international terminal, in particular, left me impressed with its spacious layout, providing ample room for guests to move around comfortably. Compared to the crowded atmosphere of the past, the new terminal offers a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for travelers.

However, while the international terminal shines, the domestic terminal still has room for improvement. It felt somewhat cramped and lacked the same level of organization and efficiency. The contrast between the two terminals was noticeable, highlighting the need for further enhancements to ensure consistency throughout the airport.

In addition to the terminal improvements, I must mention my disappointment with the dining options, particularly in the domestic terminal. The restaurants fell short of expectations, with subpar offerings that left much to be desired. Specifically, my experience at McDonald’s was less than satisfactory, as they struggled to get our order right. It was a frustrating experience that detracted from an otherwise positive visit to the airport.

Overall, while there are areas that could be improved, the Arturo Merino Benitez Airport has undoubtedly made significant strides in providing a more pleasant travel experience. With continued efforts to enhance facilities and services, it has the potential to become a top-notch airport destination.
Very nicely clean airport. Easy to get to and get through the airport. Some great restaurants are there once you get through the immigration.
Nice airport. Looks clean and pretty easy to navigate. Immigration part is very new plus the mountain views are pretty cool
The facilities are good. But the staff are great. Very helpful and in my case at LATAM their English language skills were perfect. The duty free shopping is pretty good too. The food and service at Loyola is great 👍
It’s one of the best airports in South America, clean, spacious, and fairly fast to ho through. Lots of work still to be done, and quite expensive with souvenirs almost 5 times more expensive than in downtown. Don’t leave your last minute shopping for the airport!
!!! ATTENTION: Taxi scammers !!!

Only take taxis that you ordered yourself (don’t accept if someone approaches you at the exit) !!! Best is to take Uber.

For the airport-organisation: please fight against the scammers. They destroy the reputation of the entire country Chile!
I flew in here on a Saturday morning in August. There were hardly any queues. The airport itself was on the smaller side. Not a lot to do here, but my journey through the airport was seamless. For the lack of stress 5/5.
The airport is nice, clean and attractive.
Unfortunately we had issues using cash at departures and also exchanging cash and both times the Chilean airport staff (MCDonalds and Cambio) expected us to pay more because they didn’t have the change available.
Being the departure gate we obviously wanted to use the last of our Chilean pesos but were advised that they don’t have change to give because cards are now typically used.
It wasn’t a big deal but a bit disappointing.
Also, would be nice if ground staff smiled a little and helped guests to feel welcome in a foreign country.
A very clean and well laid out airport. The only drawback was the exceptionally long line in customs. Be sure to allow you and your party time to get through security as it took much longer than most airports. Once you’re through security, the airport is easy to navigate with plenty of gift shops and restaurants to choose from.
Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport in Santiago, Chile, is an above-average airport with clean facilities, spacious concourses, and helpful signage in both Spanish and English. Customs lines move quickly, though there are over-eager taxi drivers outside. Overall, a comfortable and efficient travel experience.
I felt Santiago de Chile airport (SCL) was easy and convenient enough for most US people even when they did not understand Spanish at all. Though most people did not understand English, most signs had English expression along with Spanish. And on most of them there shown easy-to-understand pictograms.
I used a public bus and a subway to move the airport to the downtown Santiago. In spite of comprehensible signs, it took me some time to find the right way, though. First to take a shuttle service to the bus station E (PEHÚEN). Then to take a bus connecting to a subway lines. Once arriving at one of subway stations, Santiago subway system seemed quite good to take me to almost anywhere in the downtown Santiago. Good thing I discover was, most of Chilean people were very kind and welcoming!

Saludos!
