Immigration line is shorter that other big cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

Transport to city - taxi, bus and metro are available

Taxi drivers still receive cash as payment, beside Alipay & WeChat Pay

I used Alipay which linked to overseas credit card and it worked for most payment except in purchasing train ticket and paying local bus. Some payments might incur 3% service fee

Local SIM card can be purchased at a vendor which located on the right side of the exit (still inside the terminal) using passport.

Please note that local SIM card cannot be purchased outside the airport as the outside vendors require CN ID card normally

Using CN local number would limit the access for international messaging service (WA)

Another option is to use roaming service from the overseas provider where access to WA is possible
We had a connecting flight here, two international connections that we had to get. The travel time from the gate to the transfer sign was relatively quick. However, there's an extra step when you have to do the transfer. If you don't have a health declaration form, it can become pretty hectic. The form only works if you're from China, if you try accessing it from another country, you can't. It just won't work. But thankfully, there is an area in the airport which is "health declaration quarantine" and the workers do the form for you. You will then obtain a QR code and you can go past. It can get pretty crowded where they do these health things. And there's only one worker so everyone was on top of her begging her to do their because they needed to go. The worker was extremely rude and kept yelling bur that's understandable because she was overwhelmed. So, even for a transfer you NEED one of the health declaration forms. Then, you go to the passport section and it's relatively simple there. Then security which usually has only one or two lanes open with lots of people, so be prepared to stand there for a while. The security is extremely strict there as well. They will put your bag through the machine even up to 5 or 6 times until they are satisfied there isn't anything there. Then you can go to the gates. We only had an hour layover time and we thanked God that our flight got there an hour early and we were the last people to board our connecting flight. So, if you have the chance, allow plenty of time (up to 3 hours) if you are transferring. For china southern airlines, their service is amazing. Overall, I'd give this airport 4 stars. It would just be better if they didn't have the stupid health declaration thing.
Huge international airport with everything you would need and want. Directions are clear so chances of getting lost is minimal. I was here in Sept 2023,a day after Typhoon Haikui caused serious flooding in Hong Kong and forced the closure of the entire airport. Thankfully the situation improved and I was able to catch a flight out the next day. That flight which should have taken 3 1/2 hrs lasted 6hrs as we sat on the tarmac waiting for clearance to depart GBIA.
Had a 4 hour layover where i almost missed my connecting flight because the lines for immigration, check in and security were very long. Every step went as normal with no trouble, staff were polite. When I reached the security line, I had to ask people if I could skip ahead of them or else I would not have made it. My advice for people with international layovers: make sure you have plenty of time because 4 hours is apparently not enough. I also could not connect to the wifi with my european phone number, so I could not check for updates regarding my flight online.
One of the most beautiful and cleanest airports in the country. The airport is too big but the system is super fast and the service is the best.
However, be aware of scammers and fake taxis. They say they will take you to a taxi but instead, they will bargain with you about your target location fare and then take you. The fare they will ask for will be much higher than the real taxi price for sure.
The Wifi is not good here. So check or research what would be your fare before landing if you are coming first time china.
There are metro taxi bus stations located at this airport.
Big airport, big crowd. Few terminals and good hotels near the airport too. The have taxis and metro train to town.
This airport is very nice. Seems brand new! It's very quick and efficient. Even with the many screenings it seemed I had about 3 once I landed. But good to be thorough. They have good lounges you can access with priority pass and they have a Starbucks. Very friendly and helpful staff. Bathrooms are very clean. Thank you!
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport is one of the busiest airports in China, and it is easy to see why. The airport is well-organized and efficient, with friendly and helpful staff. The facilities are clean and modern, and there are plenty of amenities to keep passengers entertained. I recently had a layover at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, and I was very impressed with the overall experience. I would definitely recommend this airport to anyone flying to or from Guangzhou.
This is a new airport having magnificent internal views.
The airport itself and the terminal is pretty big and has significant connectivity. The duty free and shops are strangely limited to the core part of the terminal. One thing I noticed when in July, the air conditioning was either not working or was extremely inefficient as it was hot. To add to that the water fountains for some reason only provide hot water. The airport wifi works where you have to take in a wifi token from one of the booths but obviously a lot of web services that you may be used to like google etc don’t work. The other thing that was strange was the transit process which was daunting and not designed for transit friendliness. The way you are treated as if you are passing though immigration. This consumes a lot of time and chances are you may miss your flight if your transit time was short. Something that the airport authorities can look into. Prepare for lots of walking depending on your gate location.
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport left me with a positive impression throughout my journey. The sleek and modern facilities, along with the friendly and helpful staff, made the travel experience a breeze. Although I didn't get a chance to try the dining options, the airport's array of services and amenities were apparent and added to the overall convenience. Even without experiencing the food, I found the airport to be a well-rounded and traveler-friendly hub that contributes to a comfortable journey.
Capturing some spots in Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. It's a large airport in Guangzhou. The areas inside the airport are so clean. The problem is that not many of their staffs can speak English. But I still appreciate, they still try to help, even have to use dictionary 😁
And it's quite hard to find a local maps and subway map in English.
Friendly and helpful employees/ helpers!!!
First time being here im impressed with its facility, everything here are high tech, the immigration and custom officers can speak really good english for foreigner like me its a blessing
Shenzhen airport is small, but modern. Imigration is short and useful.
Business lounge is nice, local basic food and beverages, comfortable massage chairs and good wifi to pass time.
The international Airport is So Big but so organized and clean, Airport staff and security ok, they also have free water at the waiting Area, make sure you have at least your own Pocket wifi for access and filling up of Health and security declaration prior to entry to China.
This is a medium size nice airport. A Chinese restaurant in this airport serves very delicious teochew food, one should never miss to have a meal. You will fly back with good feeling if you dine here.
For the fans of milk tea, you can easily find Koi Tea not far from the restaurant. The grocery store offers sweets and local packed food to bring home.
The properly structured & organized airport
Although this is a small airport but I like it because the staffs are very friendly and helpful.
Just a note that the airport is closed at the midnight, and open from 5-6AM, so you can not overnight at the airport.
Let's feel free to ask the transfer counter for transit accomodation.
Airport brand new with international flights despite is far away from the city. For the sanitary clearance is preferable to have Wechat installed on smartphone even if is not compulsory. Several shops inside but very few can accept the credit card.
Pretty “standard” modern Chinese airport with one mega main terminal (and a few “satellite terminals”) with big open spaces and plenty of daylight.

Easy to navigate both pre- and post security. MANY security and ID check counters making the wait time tolerable.
If you’re flying international, you really should arrive three hours early because of long lines, custom form problems, etc. Also, the internet doesn’t work.
The service is great but the airport itself needs an update. It’s a bit broke, and the boarding area is too crowded.
When I arrived on the 20th June 2023, the airport staff with the cart saw me walking with some difficulty, she asked me to board the cart and send me to the luggage belt about 2 km away
confusing QR code that will only scan if you have wechat, luggage check in that will open your personal belongings, security check that will touch every part of your body, business lounge that is so poorly labeled you have to get directions from non English speaking staff. I started to like china until I got back to the airport. Beautiful Xiamen, please fix your Airport.
Terminal 3 mostly domestic flight and few international flight...

The crazy securities who got authorized to check bag and luggage took my power bank 30,000 mAh=111Wh from me even I fly international flight to Hangzhou and domestic flight Hangzhou to Shenzhen also many country with the same power bank. They taken from many passengers without listen or read clearly from CAAC announcement poster.

Duty free expensive than other countries. Good things is clean, not many people and big.
Tooooo crowded at boarding room. But many charging station..
Outside got luckin coffee and convenient shops... Way better than fuzhou airport and guiyang airport
Smallish international airport with a decent lounge, very polite people working there.
Clean, tidy, fast security clearance.

Tons of restaurants, shops.
The only airport with toilet seat cover.
Really nice and modern airport. You can take the bullet train to most major cities as well as the underground systems.Lot's of good eateries too 😉
Very comfortable, airport, charging port is available at the boarding gate, only the aircond is slightly warm
massive airport, looks like most of the newest china airport looking same inside outside. many shop and restaurant, Asians and western. lot of walk between the gates.
The security was very friendly and helpful
Security checks were quite stringent, and I had some passport issues prior to boarding my flight. Nevertheless, arriving approximately 2 hours prior to take off left me plenty of time to solve any issues. There were many shops, and places to get food in the airport. There was adequate seating while waiting for my plane, and there were no delays in my experience. There was free Wi-Fi, and the convenience stores offered food and drink for very reasonable prices. There were huge electronic displays everywhere displaying all the flights, boarding and departure times, and gates.
Airport is modernised, with huge room space. But the customs can improve to open more lane for luggage examination as the people queing getting longer and subsequent action for one more lane is slower.
Beautiful multiple use park. Garden with spectacular flowers fields for exercise and family play, shaded paths. Recommend
A massive airport. Very nice architecture. Lots of technological features. Smart building. The airport built to handle domestic and international flights, and it is connected with the famous high speed BULLET TRAIN ,which makes it easy to connect quickly. Efficient security and immigration staff and facilities. Clear signs everywhere. Information desks everywhere.
Duty-free with nearly all major brands are there. Banks, communications facilities, electronics, travel accessories, restaurants and Cafe's, lounges, children play areas, and much more. Friendly and helpful staff. The English announcements, sometimes are not clear. Clean and good ambience.
Not a big airport for local airlines, but very busy, liked the vending machine that makes freshly squeezed juice, good massage chairs and delicious local food
Small but nice airport.
Comparable to other airports in China, this is rather a smaller airport. Easy to manoeuvre, shorter walking distance. We did a domestic transit followed by an international flight via Xiamen airport. The transfer sign isn’t clear. We were finally found our way came out from domestic arrival then go to level two depart again at international hall. Staffs can be friendlier.
An airport that was definitely running beyond it's capacity. The terminal was too small to handle the large amounts of passengers. However, security and check in wasn't too bad. There is a new airport built on an artificial island which should ease the volume of passengers at this airport.
Omg!☺️
A very conpuct size of luxurious room,⭐aliance-gold,at Lounge by china airline.ltd, such as a meetimg room.
This Lounge was not comfortable, size, quority of survice, reception's communication abilliity, foods, drinks, unclesome some house keepers,
They was interested into on their chat when we entire this room 10.am,…for them,a politely survice is no their business
Airport is clean but not very spacious. The airport airline check-in is located after the airport security check point; counter only open 2 hours before flight. This is very rush when flight is full; barely have time to browse through the duty free shops or to enjoy yje airline lounge. The airport authority should seriously re examine their SOP, else this airport is just like a train or bus terminal and not an international airport. Airport staff goes by the book rules and hardly have any smile on their face. Certainly not a friendly airport to go to. Hopefully the new international airport will be more friendly than this. Visited the airport lounge - quite basic and nothing much to write about. Duty free shops - wish there was time after the security check and the rush to check-in with airline counters open 2 houts before flight!!
Zhuhai Jinwan Airport (IATA: ZUH, ICAO: ZGSD), formerly Zhuhai Sanzao Airport, is the airport serving the city of Zhuhai in Guangdong province, China. It is located some 50 kilometres (31 mi) (road distance) southwest of the Zhuhai city center in Sanzao Town, Jinwan District, and 25 kilometres (16 mi) southwest of the special administrative region of Macau.
This airport is not big but pretty good. It is a bit far from the city but buses are frequent. In future there will be trains.
It's very easy to find language support and most of the sign are repeated in English, Japanese and Korean(I've ever heard French in the radio for once). The airport is close to downtown. It's very cheap and convenient to use public services and transport. If you don't have cash, you can download alipay or wechat(something like applepay) before coming here.

By the way, "yiingke" means to "welcome the guest".
I visited Dalian for my work. The airport is common on China. However, when I tried to check in, I was looking for check-in counter. I could not find international departure lobby. I wonder if the counter may be beyond the security check and I walk around to search the counter. It was very difficult for us to find the counter. Some more sign boards or displays are to be set up on bulkheads, I think.
small airport but very clean..
Getting busier, it has got a Mcdonald's opens early in the morning. Make sure to go through customs early as it can be very slow.
So far, everything worked out, here. ATM right at the exit. Yes, avoid the yelling black taxi drivers out of the arrival barrier, proceed to the regular taxi stand (pay special attestation at the pedestrian walkover - you will be run over, anyway).

Finding the right check-in counter might be a bit challenging, because counters share a different combination of smaller Chinese airlines. International is completely separate (Xiamen -> Singapore counts as Intl.).

But staff is very helpful, even to non-Chinese speakers.

But so far all my flighty worked out.
Neat Airport with a few things that need to be noted.

1) for international flyers, be aware that there are no money exchange services at the airport. But surely there's ATM machines

2) watch out for illegal taxi who will ripped you off. Always always get to the metered taxi. The one with yellow sign on top of the car.

3) there's kfc and mcdonalds so that's cool

4) helpful staff so don't worry about language barrier

5) oh by the way men's restroom is a bit smelly. Not sure if the flush in my stall is not working or what
Good airport, have to walk quite a bit too get out but then everything is fast. If there are no taxis at the international arrival just walk left to the domestic arrivals.
Almost no people, few flights.
But the infrastructure around makes me feel that it will be very prosperous once.

Currently, it's used for private and training flights too :)
