Best Condominium complexs in Costa Rica

I had a reservation for 4 days and had to cancel because the accommodation and location were not up to scratch.
-The rooms look like horse stalls. No soul. The photos look good but in fact the rooms are very small.
-The room was not fully washed (cf photo oven).
-We could hear the train/subway passing by every 5 minutes as if we were 5 meters away.
-Communication with Roberto and the buk team was very poor.

-When you check-in, the people at the front desk (it looks like we're bothering them) make you sign a contract with lots of rules.
-To smoke, you have to get out of the whole building (imagine living on the 20th floor).

Some examples of the contract
"Failure to comply with any of these rules may be sufficient cause for an economic sanction of USD$150.00 up to USD$500.00 (Your host is your contact)
-Social Areas for special activities used ONLY under reservation by your host, you require to stay a minimum of 6 nights to apply.
-Daytime hours 65 decibels permitted from 6 am to 8 pm.
-Nighttime hours 45 decibels permitted from 8 pm to 6 am.
-If your stay is equal to or less than 5 nights, you will not be able to receive or enter visitors into your apartment or inside the building. If your stay is 6 nights or longer you will require a permit authorization from your host to receive your visitors.

Thanks Roberto and Buk, just like Costa Rica, you are demanding with others but not with yourself. You guys charge at the Swiss level with a service from a third-world country.

When you need to be in San Jose, but rather be in the hipster bubble anywhere in the world, this is your apocalypse hideout with embassy grade security!

Well maintained building with great view over the city in a nice and safe neighborhood.
The tower offers several areas for residents like pool, library, zen garden or shared working spaces.

Unfortunately it is surrounded by two train lines and they start honking from 4:30 am till the night and the windows are not isolated to noise. In the first nights this is a sleep killer..

We rented Urbn Escalante 2012. The building is situated in a safe upscale neighbourhood perched high above the downtown area. This building has a pool and roof top lounge area with great view of the city. The building’s concierge was very helpful and friendly. The best advice they gave us was to take a private car for Poas Volcano/Alacia Coffee farm tours. Highly recommend Jorge with Vuelve A La Vida CR Tours. We had an excellent day with Jorge for 1/3!the price of bus tours. Contact him via Instagram.

After staying here a couple of times. I rented a place for a year. The staff is great, great amenities, very safe and great views.

Our stay at Urbn was great. The building is extremely “urban” in feel and provides for great customer service at the main lobby, a great warm pool for a dip (not metre swimming), a wonderful gym, and an epic 29th floor with tons of space to host meetings, friends, or just to relax in the library while visiting URBN. The rooms are simple and well laid out, but many of the comments on here about the noise are true! Train engineers and conductors have no respect for their surroundings, so their behaviour is extremely disrespectful to the surrounding residents. They could learn a lesson or two from other countries, all in time. If train horns, sirens, car alarms and other units concrete furniture floor movements aren’t your thing, it’s not a good place to stay. But if you can handle city life at its best, and have ear plugs or thick skin - it’s the perfect spot with great views to stay. 😀 We will be back.

Viví aqui por mas de un año y la experiencia fue horrible, y aparentemente no solamente para mí, pero para casi todos los residentes pq la mitad de mis vecinos tambien se mudaron el año pasado. Ni yo ni los demás vecinos que se mudaron pudimos recibir nada de nuestros depositos. (Creo que el dueño nunca planeo devolverlos). En mi experiencia, la casa nunca era oscura incluso durante la noche debido a las luces de afuera pq las puertas son de vidrio escarchado, el horno no funciona bien, los 3 perros del gerente hacen cacas en los espacios compartidos, y los portones del estacionamiento son una pesadilla pq si el vecino deja abierto su porton, no podia abrir el mio porque chocan. El chat grupal siempre estuvo lleno de quejas de los portones.

Great views of the city. Make sure you go up to the 29th floor and check it out! It can get a little noisy, but with the balcony door closed, it's really no issue. Staff front is very friendly.

Totally loved this accommodation. Gorgeous city views.Highly recommend for any tourist visiting San Jose. CR. Friendly concierge, modern units, very clean and well maintained. Many restaurants within short walking distance from location. The only thing was the public train constantly blaring their horn at ever intersection and yes there's quite a few intersections. Good news is I heard they a about to get some Electric trolleys 🚎. Yes I will stay here again.
