70m waterfall. The view from the observation deck is incredibly beautiful. Already at the foot of the waterfall, you realize its power and majesty.

We had a very good time at this beautiful park.
We started the day by exploring the trails and spotting al kinds of animals.
We saw monkeys, nose bears, a kind of deer and a sloth high up in the trees.
Later we enjoyed the beautiful beach and the scenery. There are even showers to wash away the salt and sand after a swim in the ocean.

Beautiful park. Saw sloths and monkeys. Be careful with hustlers outside the park. They lied to us and made us park by the beach. They charged $7 which is not a lot but there's a closer parking lot that is $3. What bothered me is that they lied to us and hustled us...nit cool. It made me feel uncomfortable. We decided to go back to the guys and got our money back.

Great place to refresh after the Rio Celeste park.
Just park your car on the side of the road and swim in the insanely blue water.
You can enter from both sides of the bridge.
It is not actually a pool, just a save place to enter the river

Very nice park with everything that you could ask for. They have fields for playing football, soccer, baseball and volleyball. Additionally there's lots of trails for running and riding your bike. There's also a couple playgrounds for kids.
On the weekends you can sit there and watch several baseball games and soccer games going on with the locals. There's also a couple bathrooms that cost about 300 CRC.

Staff is super helpful! However if you're doing this with a tour company, you don't need to worry about paying the entrance fee. Two things to note here: the waterfall is very steep, so is the way down. I am 37 and a runner and I was a bit winded going up. There are landings to take breaks often with benches. If you are not 100% sold, ditch your crew and try the restaurant, chicken over wood is really good.

Great trails, leads right up to a beach. You can not bring any disposable plastic containers or water bottles inside. They do bag searches to make sure people comply. In the end it keeps the area clean. They do have clean public restrooms by the beach where you can change into bathing suits or out of wet clothes. We were able to see various animals such as sloths, crabs, and monkeys. Don’t get too close to the monkeys. Tourist should use their best judgment. We witnessed one tourist too close to the moneys, while trying to get a close-up picture and ended up getting bitten by one. Thankfully the bite did t break any skin. The street outside the main entrance and exit are lined up with venders and also a few restaurants.

You can purchase tickets when you get to the location. It takes approximately 500 steps to get down to the Waterfall.
The Waterfall is 70 meters ( 230 ft.) tall
The water is nice and refreshing for a swim.
There is a restaurant, lockers, and a gift shop on the property.

Beautiful park for hiking and going to the beach at the same time! We saw sloths and monkeys, very beautiful place. The only things were all the people trying to sell you and quite force you to their parking spaces, as well as all the tours and sightseeing. You don't really need a telescope to see the animals, just venture in and enjoy! Also, bring a metal water flask because they make you throw any water bottle to the trash before entering the park and get your tickets online beforehand!

This park is absolutely amazing. For the people who like greeens and nature, you can walk through different trails. For the people who like beach, you can relax there. You can spot sloths (although not easy), naughty monkeys and some big lizards. I went to this park with tour.

Relatively short walk from the National park so if it hasn't rained you can come here and actually swim in the blue waters. If it has been raining allot then it will look like a normal stream.

It was so BEAUTIFUL! It was worth going to for me.

100% worth is
Free entrance and parking
Rio celeste waters
Better than visiting the waterfalls because you cannot get in the water there but here you can
Only 4 min away from waterfall entrance

If you are in the area or close by, you definitely want to check out this hike. Tickets need to be purchased online in advance fyi! Cost is around 14 US dollars. The hike is pretty straightforward. the beginning is paved but slippery if it's been raining and the leaves get wet so? be careful. Afterward it turns into gravel and rocks which are very slippery when it's been raining so be careful. about halfway through the hike, there is a detour that takes you down several steps so you can get an amazing view of a blue waterfall 😍😍😍. Even with all the rain and mud, the waterfall was still a pretty light blue which will make for some pretty good social media photos. continuing on the hike, it can pretty treacherous so watch where you placing your feet so you don't slip or roll ankle. at the turnaround point you will learn about how the river gets. it's pretty blue color. the way back is slightly more difficult since you're going downhill and you want to make sure you don't roll your ankles or slip.
Went during the rainy season in the beginning of October and it poured down raining on the way back. Make sure you take a poncho with you and wear shoes that you don't mind getting wet!

Tons of animals, sloths, hummingbirds, toucans and more. Wonderful beaches with no bothering of sellers. Definitely worth spending one ore more days, even if you only do a beach day. But take care of the monkeys the open up your bag and steal stuff, preferably things in plastic bags.

The waterfall itself is beautiful and impressive.
There's 500 stairs to get there.
Although the waterfall was amazing it's not worth the 18 USD in my opinion.
The water for swimming near the waterfall are cold.
There's bathroom and showers at the beginning. There's also restaurant and a souvenir shop.
Plenty of parking.

I decided to make my way up to Monteverde traveling from Tamarindo to Sámara. The roads up there are no joke mostly dirt/rocks with potholes everywhere. I had a 4 wheel drive car and I’m grateful I did. I made it without a flat tire. The views and seeing the small towns on the way were wonderful even if I was gripping the steering wheel like my life depended on it. The parking lot is separate from the reserve and you hop on the shuttle to the entrance. It cost $5 to park and don’t forget to pay for the parking when you pay the entrance fee. I only walked a couple trails and didn’t see much wildlife but I had read that’s pretty standard for this reserve. I saw a huge bumble bee and beautiful huge blue butterflies. It started to really rain and I was concerned about driving down the mountain I just came up so didn’t stay too long. I’m glad I went and it was what I expected but I would recommend taking a tour so someone else is the one driving up there.

Tortuguero National Park is a popular tourist destination in Costa Rica, known for its rich biodiversity and the nesting of green turtles. The park serves as an important refuge for various animal species, including monkeys, sloths, alligators, crocodiles, and fish. However, the turtle nesting is the park's main attraction.
Turtle nesting occurs between the months of July and October. Turtles arrive at Tortuguero Beach during the night and dig holes in the sand to deposit their eggs. After laying the eggs, the turtles return to the sea. The eggs hatch approximately two weeks later, and the turtle hatchlings begin their journey toward the ocean.
Turtle nesting is a remarkable natural spectacle, providing a unique opportunity to observe these animals in their natural habitat. It's essential to note that nesting is a delicate process, and visitors should respect the park rules to avoid disturbing the turtles.
Here are some tips for those planning to visit Tortuguero National Park to witness turtle nesting:
- Book your tour in advance, as the park is popular during the nesting season.
- Arrive at the park early, as nesting usually begins at night.
- Wear comfortable clothing and shoes for walking on the beach.
- Respect the park rules, especially the rules regarding silence.
With these tips, you can make the most of your visit to Tortuguero National Park and witness one of the most fascinating natural spectacles in the world.
In addition to turtle nesting, Tortuguero National Park also offers other attractions such as forest hikes, bird watching, and boat tours through the canals. However, these attractions are not as popular as turtle nesting.
In conclusion, Tortuguero National Park is a worthwhile tourist destination for witnessing turtle nesting. While the park's other attractions are interesting, they don't have the same impact as turtle nesting.

This park is gorgeous. I only wish we had more time to explore. We arrived at noon and the park closes the beach at 3 and the park at 5pm so make sure and arrive earlier if you want to see everything this park has to offer. Something to note is that just before you arrive at the park there are these men aggressively calling to you and stopping your car to park where they say and asking if you have tickets. If you see them just say you already have tickets and continue to the official parking lot for the park. I do recommend purchasing your tickets online as you'll only pay $18 per adult. We got roped into doing a semi private tour and ended up paying an extra $40 per person. The benefits of having a guide is they seem to know where the animals are. We would have missed most of them without him. He also has a high power telescope so we could see the animals close up. I got some pretty incredible up close photos thanks to his scope. We saw a chameleon, iguanas, a snake, 2 sloths, crabs, frog eggs, bats, and monkeys. The guide showed us the two beaches most people enjoy. The first beach or beach #3 was so beautiful. The surf did seem a little rough to get in and out of but once you were in it seemed to just let you float. The other beach was much rougher. No one was in that one. They have showers in many areas post beach swim. They also had fresh water fountains throughout to fill your own bottles. They do not allow plastic disposable water bottles at the park or food inside. There was a small cafe where you could buy lunch. I would recommend anyone come to this park just be careful of the scams on the way to the park.

Definitely a park for everyone. Sports, strolling, jogging, picnicking, etc. It's a beautiful, spacious, place that is safe and clean. On weekends It's filled with families enjoying the CR sunshine and exercise enthusiasts alike. Fun for everyone, free, well-groomed, and quiet.

Exploring Parque Nacional Arenal was a serene experience, especially during the vocal walk. The tranquility of the surroundings made it a pleasant stroll. The highlight, undoubtedly, was the viewpoint that offers a stunning sight of the volcano. You have the option to either walk up to the viewpoint or conveniently drive if you have a vehicle. Whichever way you choose, the view is well worth the journey. A memorable spot for anyone seeking a tranquil escape and breathtaking vistas.

It is a walk for 1h, unfortunately the viewpoint and the lagoon were closed.
What we did not know: you have to buy the tickets online beforehand. On site there is no network and the WiFi did not work.
We paid $13 and that is very overpriced for walking in the forest!!!
Parking costs extra (about 3$).

As an avid traveler, I can confidently say that my experience with Ivantours was nothing short of exceptional. The tour to Tortuguero National Park was a true highlight of my Costa Rica trip. The knowledgeable guides provided insightful commentary, making the wildlife and lush landscapes come to life. The attention to detail and commitment to responsible tourism by Ivantours made me feel like I was not only exploring but also contributing to the conservation of this beautiful region. Highly recommended!

Very beautiful sight of nature and the waterfall. The water is very clear and cold. It is a very popular attraction so there are hundreds of people there at a time. The walk down is steep, and thankfully, the walking path has seating and water fountains for the way up. No matter what shape you are in, it's a hard walk up. Please bring water shoes for the water instead of flip flops or slides. The rocks by the waterfall are mossy and slippery and you have to walk down them to get to the water.

Great park to walk/run for exercise or simply to enjoy the peace and quiet within San Jose. There are several sculptures throughout the park along with open areas for kids to play.

Beautiful mountain views and a spectacular view of the volcano. It was an unforgettable experience to walk through the trails and witness the natural habitat of vegetation and exotic animals.

A large park in the middle of the town. I enjoyed seeing a clean and green park with different options to do recreational activities.

Very tranquil. Love the boat transportation as it takes you to another world without cars. Tons of wildlife everywhere.

Make sure you know to make a left at the split in the hike to see the waterfall. Also note that the water may not be blue in the rainy season. Note that catarata means waterfall. The parking was 2000 colones. The fruit vendor there was great.

Small, but beautiful. The animals are out and very active. Very reasonable entry fee.

Must visit place in Costa Rica for the more outdoorsy nature lovers

This was a good about 3.5 mile hike roundtrip. It gets packed as the day goes on, so getting there early helps. No need to book a tour unless you want someone to talk you through the plants and other things that you're seeing and take pictures for you. Otherwise this is a do it yourself excursion that will cost you much less than a tour.

It was entirely decent. It was about $8 equivalent to go in and was worth the money. It's not a big zoo and some of the animal enclosures were a bit on the sad side. Still, a great variety of local animals most of whom seemed pretty happy.

Monteverde is a unique biosphere full of different species of birds and animals , some very unique to cloud forest. This place is quite isolated and could take time to reach depending on road and weather. However it’s totally worth it. You will be rewarded with extra ordinary views and scenery. If you want to find birds or snakes, it’s highly recommended to hire a guide, they exactly know how to find the right places to spot and also you learn a ton of things

There was hardly anyone when we went today (Friday). It felt like we had the zoo to ourselves. Of course this also meant the shop and restaurant were closed. My son really wanted to see the monkeys and we definitely had fun.

A bit depressing if you have spent any time outside of San Jose with wildlife. The areas for the animals are pitifully small and they look bored. There are several things from years gone by just there, uninhabited. There are some squirrels running around etc who were the only sign of happiness. Needs a good revamp. The turtle and crocodile section was depressing with them barely visible and clambering on each other to avoid the murky moss water

It took us a couple of days to explore just half of the park, but the experience was still amazing. We watched the sun set and walked around many of the attractions and cool artwork for the majority of the time we were there. Great place for people of all ages to hang out, play, work out, or relax.

This was one of my favorite things we did in Costa Rica, top 3 for sure! Although I like this kind of stuff, it was quite, beautiful, and all the plants and fungi were amazing. We enjoyed our time walking around, just wish we had more time, I would say give yourself 2hrs to walk and see the bridge and waterfall and take in the beauty of the place.

Small park but there was no one else there so it was quiet and beautiful. The trail is pretty simple if you’re going to the lake. Great views of the volcano from anywhere near by.

Absolutely beautiful! The park was easy to find, parking was plenty and affordable. It's definitely worth the descent and climb back up (although I was out of breath & had to take several breaks 😅).
There are public restrooms available for use when you pay your admission fee.
Park closing was advertised as 2pm, I believe that is for last entry. We arrived at 12:30 and were back at our car at 3pm.
Bring sunscreen, insect repellent and water, a small towel for wiping off sweat is good too.

Breathtaking and amazing. Super cool and beautiful and chill. Can go swimming there as well. Also they have lots of cute fish as well. Super easy hike up and down 500+ steps. Also the restaurant inside was surprisingly really really good. They had this roasted chicken, smoked with coffee wood. It was an amazing experience, definitely recommend this place if you're in la fortuna.

It's definitely a place you don't want to miss. Easy enough steps, even for elderly and kids. Fair price for entry. The waterfall is beautiful, fun hike down, and we saw some monkeys playing in the trees. In the lower level of the platform, there is a smaller swimming hole where there isn't rushing water. There is a bench to hold your bags off the ground.

Hike to waterfall wasn't too bad until the steps down to waterfall. Steep and 2 person wide but worth it!!! Water drinkable for anyone right at park sign. Saw some venomous snakes and butterfly along the way.

Never seen anything like it! The blue waters some from a metallic sediment in the water the water is warm from a natural spring from the volcano, smells a little bit due to the sulfuric gas being released. You can’t swim in the water here but you can drive east 10-15 minutes and swim in a free location right off the highway

Good place to walkaround. Good place to let the animals go around. However there is no lion. Just birds, some snakes, frogs, etc,.
Small place, but the ambience feels relaxing and natural.

Río Celeste es muy bonito, de agua clara y fresca...
Hay partes muy profundas y también partes donde pueden jugar los niños...
Hay casetas donde uno puede hacer algún asado o algo de comida

I had the opportunity to spend three days and two nights at this beautiful national park, and it was an amazing experience.
With the assistance of a private guide named Oscar Cordero, I was able to see a wide variety of animals during my visit.
Oscar's knowledge and expertise greatly enhanced my time in the park. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a knowledgeable guide to enhance their national park experience.

I spent almost an entire day (6 hours) in the park and it was one of my highlights of my 3-day stay in Monteverde
🧥Guided tour yes or no?
You can explore the park by yourself but signing up for a guided tour makes this a whole other experience. I booked the 7.30 am Natural Walk and in the first couple of minutes alone, we saw the star of the forest - the “quetzal” bird. Our Guide, Deiner, pointed out animals that I would never have spotted on my own, such as wild pigs, walking stick insects, tarantulas, and gave valuable information on flora and fauna. I had no idea that there are over 75 species of Avocado trees. Deiner was a great tour guide, he has more than 8 years experience and is highly skilled. You can also enquire about tours with him directly on +506 8715-3560.
🏞️Want to explore the park yourself? There are over 11 different trails with scenic viewpoints, such as the Continental Division where you can see the Pacific Ocean.
🪑Need a break? Benches are conveniently located throughout the park.
📖Need more information? You can find information boards along the trails providing valuable insights on history, flora and fauna.
💵Prices: $20 entrance fee. $12 binoculars rental (only daily rentals possible), guided tour $45 including entrance fee. The ticket also enables you to continue exploring the park by yourself. Great value for the price.
⏰ Opens at 7am daily. I recommend you enter the park in the morning between 7-8am as it does get busier towards lunch time.

This place shows mankind that nature can be utterly surprising and beautiful at the same time. Who would think that a natural water fall would be sky blue in color? Who would expect that in the middle of a lush green jungle with thousands of cicadas shrilling, a million trees and thousands of animals? Just wow!

Nice but not so great, and you can’t swim (you can in the river just downstream). It was alright. The tours that go here seem a little overpriced for what you’re getting to be honest. I think I would’ve spent my limited time in La Fortuna differently if I’d known in advance. We did see a sloth though which was cool.

Beautiful location! A few things to know, they are very strict about what you bring into the park. Plastics & food are a no go. I would suggest a reusable water bottle, not just an average bottle of water. The board walk is a much smoother walk, which is wheelchair friendly. On the boardwalk I saw a lot of crabs and some iguanas. From the gravel road I saw monkeys and sloths. There are bathrooms just beyond the check point, You have to go through the checkpoint to access them even though they're technically behind you. The next set of bathrooms is about a mile away, showers are also available after swimming. There are a lot of trails to choose from, and there is a cafe although it was not open when we were there. There are limited picnic tables by the beachfront in the tree line. The beach has plenty of driftwood which makes for a convenient place to sit and relax if you can't get a table. The waves can be rough in this area, be mindful of that.

Amazing. We have seen a lot of animals...and our guide Henry was so attentive and helped us to make the best pictures.

It was worth the walk for the beautiful blue waters. I am not the fittest person & don't normally hike (58yrs old) and found the uphill parts of the hike tough. My heart was pounding & had to stop several times. Didn't help that we didn't have water (we did but security check your bags & make you take any plastics back to your car that aren't reusable). Some of the steps are pretty high. Some paths quite rocky. But was manageable- would do it again. Preferred over hanging bridges hikes.

Absolute must see!! It's worth the parking and entrance fee. Trail is well maintained and even had a worker cleaning the stairs of leaves. Trail goes from cement to dirt/rock, crosses tiny creeks, and then stairs. I recommend bringing water and a snack and closed toe shoes as your feet may get wet. Can get rugged at times. Lots of foliage on the hike. Visited May 3rd.

So much to see and do here. Beautiful scenery, lots of tours to choose from, guides to point out the animals and very relaxing.

Not tooooo bad. Yes it's small, but could be worse.
Bit expensive tho with 7 USD for foreigners (typical racism in Latinamerica for foreigners), locals less.

Amazing place. Started at 08, not that many people at the entrance. Sometimes it felt like I had the entire park for myself. Could walk for long periods of time and not see anyone else.
Did go without a guide, still managed to see quite a few cool animals and birds. Probably better to have a guide if your focus is on birds etc. I just wanted to enjoy the rainforest.
Hiked almost all of the routes (skipped waterfall). Spent roughly 4 hours. I highly recommend walking the Sendero Roble route. Felt like I was in a Miyazaki movie 💯
I did not buy a ticket in advance. Even with a short line outside it took some time to get in. A reservation will let you pass that line.

The cloud forest was a cool place to hike. The suspension bridge was also a fun experience. We took a self guided tour so we didn't see much animals. We heard them everywhere though.

Nature, jungle, animals, birds.
We have visited San Pedrilo, it was good experience and it is worth going there.
We used one of Uvita travel office, it took us 7 hours including lunch, price +150$/person.

Beautiful place for hiking... just to clarify you can't swim inside the Pational Park, but is so worth it the amazing views!

A great experience in Arenal NP. Well maintained trails & good view points of the volcano which was capped in cloud when we visited. Not much wildlife to see but a good half-day visit.

An excellent boat trip in the Tortuguero channels which was not to far from our lodge. Unfortunately it rained heavily for sometime during our excursion & we would have probably seen more wildlife if it had been dryer, but we were on the Costa Rican Caribbean coast so lots of rain is to be expected. Rainproof ponchos are provided which helped to keep us reasonably dry. Excursion not to be missed.

Absolutely need to visit. The trails are safe. They’re not too difficult. We did all of the trails and of course stopping for pictures .The top of the trail that leads to the Continental Divide is spectacular. There’s no jaw-dropping views because the views are CLOUDS!

It was amazing we walked down 500 steps and back up 500 steps but inbetween we were in the bottom of the falls in the water. The beauty there is good all by itself even if you don't do the walk down. It's an experience I highly recommend

Absolute MUST, MUST, MUST visit. The trails are well planned and safe. They’re not too difficult and rugged but you are still immersed in nature. We decided not to get a guide as we had limited time. We managed to do all of the trails in about 3.5 hours, of course stopping for pictures and to bask in nature. The top of the trail that leads to the Continental Divide is spectacular. There’s no jaw-dropping views because the views are CLOUDS! At the top, you are standing amongst the clouds, which I thought was pretty cool.
Buy your tickets in advance, if you’re not with a tour group. If you’re driving, they have a parking area ($5 per car in advance when you book the ticket) about 5 minutes from the actual park. They provide the shuttle bus that comes every few minutes. There are free parking spots along the road leading up to the park on either side, but space is limited, not guaranteed and could be difficult to get in and out of, so proceed with caution if you decide that route.

Beautiful sight, wonderful and lots of fun tracking on an ATV. MUST have a guide if this is the first visit. Amazing view, great location for breathtaking pictures.

This is a very large park. The lakes there have been drained; there is no water in them. There are many trees, walking paths, football (soccer) fields and a large stadium. There were not many people there when we visited on a weekday morning. It looks a little unkept.

Highly recommend! The hike on the path to the Ceiba tree was strenuous largely due to it being extremely muddy, but we saw tons of wildlife along the way, including sloths, lizards of various types, toucans, many other birds and animals. Honestly, we saw more wildlife here than in the reserves we visited! The tree itself is truly majestic. The overview of the lava flows is breathtaking, and we caught it in the few minutes when the peak was out of the clouds the whole time we were there.

One of the most remote and awe inspiring places I’ve ever been to! Highly recommended as this is arguably the most biodiverse regions in the entire world. Boasting many species that only live here! So happy that the Costa Rica 🇨🇷 government has protected most of the Osa Peninsula with this incredible national park! Pura Vida

Those who want to experience nature should invest a visit to this breathtaking park. We encountered sloths, howler monkeys, spider monkeys, snakes and numerous beautiful birds in just 2 days. Take a guide and let him explain everything to you!

It doesn't have the size or the animal range of European capitals zoos, but still has decent appeal due to the more natural design and some interesting animals like a rescued jaguar and macaws. If you are in town, it's worth a quick visit.

Unbelievable amount of wildlife over the course of a short hike! The park is unlike anywhere I've been before, and totally worth it to hire a guide. The sirena ranger station area was particularly great.

This really was a special experience. We spent two days in Tortuguero which you have to get to by an hour boat ride. Even though it rained a lot we expected it and loved it anyway. The whole area is so biodiverse you will see so many different plants and animals. Make sure to get a guided boat ride through the canals which was just fantastic. Highly recommended. I would've loved to see the hatching turtles on the beaches as well but sadly it was not the season for that.

Arenal volcano is a beautiful and historic natural landmark. Although it has been dormant since 2010, the volcano still offers a lot to see and do. The surrounding area is a popular destination for hiking, hot springs, and other outdoor activities. The Arenal Volcano National Park is well-maintained and offers great opportunities for nature photography. The park staff is also friendly and informative. A visit to Arenal volcano provides a unique and educational experience for anyone interested in geology and natural history. Even though the volcano is not active the views from the observation deck are still impressive and the area around the volcano is a must-see for those visiting Costa Rica.

Amazing views, animals and waterfalls.

We took a two hour boat ride from Puerto Jimenez to Sirena. It's good to get to the dock early and get a seat in the back. The seats are fairly comfortable and padded but if you get back to the boat late and get stuck on a bench, it's not too great. We saw dolphins and tortoises on the way.
We went with Ficus tours and had an excellent guide. If you do the boat, wear water shoes to jump off the boat. It's fine to hike around in water shoes but I put on the approach shoes I had brought with me. There are taps to rinse off your feet. The bathrooms are very nice.
We did about 5 hours of hiking around back and forth between beach and jungle and saw monkeys, sloths, toucans, a tyra, a tapir and two crocs. Everyone sort of ends up on the same trail but it didn't feel too crowded most of the time. I took lots of bug spray as directed but amazingly there were zero bugs.

Great hike through the park. We didn't use a guide and had a great time. The hike isn't too bad, the main waterfall has alot of steps but if you rest a few times on the way back up you'll be fine. Definately worth your time!

Interesting but small.
This is a nice family spot if you have some time with the kids. The animals were great although very few and it advertised as a botanical garden but there is very little information about the plants. It is not a place to visit to find out about the plants and animals of Costa Rica but it was a pleasant place to take a stroll and see some interesting things. The bathrooms were clean.

It was an awesome park. Some of the best things to see are at night! We stayed on the ocean within walking distance to the park. I believe we paid a few dollars to get in.. wasn't crazy. The trail out to the point was amazing! Every so often a trail went to the ocean and walk the ocean until the next trail entrance. We saw tons of howler monkies and a few foot prints from a big cat. There are stops along the way to rest if needed. It poured rain on our way back. Definitely wear boots, it is a rain forest so plan on rain. Don't get to lost up in the beauty..big cats roam as well. We found tons of turtle shell holes after they hatched. This was a truly amazing place.

Wonderful place with an amazing fauna and flora. Certain location can be entered through sea/on a boat only and you need to rent a guide to enter. They say that reservations are needed in advance, especially in high seasons.
We loved the place and see many or birds, monkeys, crocodiles, insect and tapirs in aditiojbto beautiful flora.

Beautiful location only 1km from the entrance to Rio Celeste and Tenerio Volcano National Park.
There is easy access to the river just under neath the bridge. We took a few minutes to snap some photos and dip our feet in the water.
At the time of our visit, there was a local family having a picnic with their young children.
I would not make a specific trip to visit this location on its own, but it is definitely worth stopping for a few minutes on the way to visiting the National Park up the road.

Since visitors are not allowed to swim in the national park, here is the perfect spot for a swim, chillax and mingle with the locals. We arrived here at 945am when there was basically no one, so you’ll be able to take lots of good photos and enjoy the river yourself. By the time we left around noon, there are already a lot of people. Loved it so much!

Indimenticabile

Beautiful little place to stop and relax and actually swim. Not overly crowded lots of little areas to sit and relax for a bit. Parking just off the side of the road. No fees. Definitely pop by even if you have gone to the park. Being able to dip into this water is a magical feeling.

I love all the activities here! I wish more parks were like this 💖 Ride horses, rent a paddle boat (but not since 2020🤦♂️😭), grassy areas with sun as well as areas shaded well with many trees, two stadiums, an arena where people were roller skating and then later teams practices on rollerblades :) and more

This park is lovely, a great place to practice many different sports or spend family time.
The trees in the park are all native species, making it a good place for bird watching right in the middle of the city.
There are multiple places to get a good coffee nearby.
Very safe during day time, but dangerous after dark.
