Best Bars in Czech Republic

Someone said "Best brunch in town" and I think they were right! Food is absolutely delicious, presentation perfect, service is good. 5 out of 5. The Rosti (fried potato cake) with Salmon is a must have!

Amazing breakfast options. No reservations. Went with a big group and were accomodated by Gon.zalo. Place is quite small but He was super nice, smiling all the time and recommended some of the best dishes to try. Coffee & freshly squeezed juices were also good. A must try.

The location is very good as a start. The room was big and clean. There are many gestures. Wifi is super. Bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large and stylish. The bathroom booklets are very good. There is a nice bar at the top floor with a panoramic view of the city. It was a very good experience.

Fantastic brunch! Genuinely good food, with great drinks, and attentive service meant we had a super tasty brunch in another great spot in Prague Old Town. This is a popular place, and we luckily waited only 5 minutes for a table, but it was worth a few minutes wait, for sure! It was hard ordering from the menu - everything sounded and looked great. The French Toast was awesome, the ‘Kick the Hangover’ (waffles, sausage, bacon, eggs, cheese) was equally awesome. The porridge yummy. So it’s hard to recommend anything specifically as we’d have had it all if we could. It would be well worth a repeat visit!

Great ambience, generous portions and delicious food. Had to wait to be seated but not for very long. Coffee is so so though, great presentation nonetheless. I would come again if I was ever in Prague again and I would highly recommend this place

One of the best brunches I’ve had in a while! Service was excellent as well, all the staff was super attentive and accommodating! The food quality was premium and tasted super well! I ordered a Croque Madame (100% would recommend) tried the blueberry pancakes, French toast, mix juice, and coffee (big breakfast, but shared it in a group) and everything was great

Well, this is truly a failure. the waitress who served the evening was drunk, but she didn’t give up until I asked to bring me another beer, a bottled one, there is no draft beer in the bar, she returned to the next table, took the bottle everywhere and put it on my table, so to speak, he said there would be no beer and gave it to me. after which I refused to drink this beer at the middle table. After 2 minutes they brought me an open beer, the same thing all over my clothes. Unfortunately, due to the service, I had to leave.

This place is very authentic because it's inside Prague's old centre and has this immersive atmosphere of calmness, although there lots of things going on. We've tasted pizza (ofc) and that was amazing. It's thin with tasty toppings on the top. I liked it)

Went in smiling, came out quite disappointed. Despite it not being busy, our waiter made it clear that he wasn't happy to be serving the two of us. (My girlfriend and I.) We are always polite and not demanding of anything. However, everything was a chore for him, and his rude attitude extended to making us go into the bar area to pay, even though he had brought the card reader out for other tables. The bartender dropped her smile the moment she saw us and rudely asked us to wait for the waiter when I asked if she was the one to pay. After the waiter stood next to us and practically yelled the bill amount loud enough for other patrons to stop and stare, we paid and left. We have been in Germany and Czechia for about 10 days, and this is the first time that we've been treated so rudely. Needless to say, we don't recommend this place, even as a last resort.

We enjoyed a brunch experience at this establishment. Although we had to wait for 15 minutes before being seated, the service was exceptionally kind and accommodating. The only minor downside was that the bread served was slightly chewy and hard. However, the staff promptly addressed the issue by apologizing and even offered us a complimentary piece of cake as compensation. On a positive note, the chicken waffles with chili maple syrup were exceptionally tasty

Had a really lovely brunch here. The blueberry pancakes and the smoothie bowl were simply amazing, and that is evident from the empty plates! 😄 The only drawback was the long wait, it took nearly an hour to get a table and they don't have a big space. But, if you are not on a tight schedule, I think it's worth the wait.

We had a pleasant time here, fast service, decent pricing and the food was good. We had the pasa bolognese, pasta carbonara and pizza. The pizza was by far the best out of the dishes, the pasta was alright as well but only after adding a bit more spices ourselves.

I love it here, a very genuine atmosphere. me and my friends visit very frequently and the people here are always in a good mood. I would definitely recommend to come here for breakfast, as here they have a big menu to choose from, my personal favourite are sweet french toasts🥰

I organized my best friend´s birthday at Balcony Bar and I have to say the service and the cocktails were amazing, thank you especially to Tomas and David. Definitely recommend and I would for sure come back!!

Wanted to make our wedding weekend special with unique Prague spot. And this place delivered! Extremely one of a kind experience and stay! I wish we could have stayed longer! The view and rooms are amazing..breakfast was also very nice on a rooftop.

My husband and I stayed at the Dancing house from June 19th - June 23rd with some very good friends are ours. We were in room 202 and they were in room 201. While this hotel is absolutely beautiful it's very obvious that design was prioritized over function. I've listed the pros and cons of this hotel below. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere if you traveling here during the warm summer months since their air conditioning is almost non-existent in several of the hotel rooms and you'll end up sweating while you sleep.

PROS
1. The hotel is in a great location.
2. Both the inside and outside of the hotel is beautiful, especially at night.
3. The breakfast is one of the best I've had while traveling.

CONS
1. By far and away the number 1 con of this hotel is the lack of reliable air conditioning! To be honest, I don't believe room 202's air conditioning system even worked. The air was never cold coming out of the vents and the hotel sent two different people up to make sure the thermostat was set correctly. (which it was). During the morning/early afternoon the room would never get below 78 degrees (25.5 Celsius) even though it was 62 degrees outside the first morning we woke up. During the late afternoon and evening it would warm up to as warm as 81 degrees in the room, even with the air conditioning running. I brought this up to the staff 3 times and there was nothing they could do. (except they did offer me ice, but I'm not sure how that was supposed to cool me off?) I literally had to go find a place to buy a fan in order to stay in this hotel with those temps! The management should be ashamed of themselves that they allow this to continue. This was not the only room without reliable air conditioning either. Room 304 was also complaining about their air conditioning as we were checking out, so keep that in mind. Our friends in room 201 did have working a/c, but you had to keep a card in a slot to keep the a/c running when you left. Even if you left a card in there the housekeeping would take it out when they cleaned the room, leaving the room warm by the time you arrived back.
2. While the lack of a/c was the biggest issue, another big issue was the design of the room. Yes, it's beautiful looking and has some neat features (like color changing ambient lighting) BUT it's very impractical and dysfunctional. For instance, the a/c vents are located next to the windows, but BEHIND the curtains. So, if we closed the curtains to keep the sun from coming into the windows, we received no air flow from the vents. (curtains are ceiling to floor height) Another huge issue was the tub/shower. We were lucky and half of our bathtub had shower doors so we were able to take a shower, or so we thought. After showing for the first time we found water all over the bathroom floor and realized there was a break in the seal for the doors that allowed water to flow out onto the bathroom floor! We had to angle the shower head one particular way the entire time we showered unless we wanted water all over the floor. We were LUCKY though. Room 201 has NO DOORS on the tub and can't shower at all without getting water on the floor.
3. A room key has to be left in a slot by the switches/thermostat or the lights and HVAC system won't work.
4. The bath fan had a mind of it's own and would turn on and off for no reason what so ever.
5. The bathroom has a clear glass door. I didn't really mind this, but I could see other people really disliking the lack of privacy.
6. The refrigerator was barely cool and I would not trust it to keep food in.
7. The doors for the closet and bar/refrigerator area are really poorly designed. You can't get something out of the closet and open the refrigerator at the same time.
8. We occasionally would find long brown hair on our tub that wasn't ours. (We are both men with short hair) This had to come from the housekeepers reusing cleaning cloths between rooms.

Overall I can't recommend staying here and feel you could find much nicer accommodations elsewhere in Prague.

We generally were taking coffee from here to take away. This time, we wanted to try dine in. But it was not good idea:D the service was super slow, the service lady confused everything. She gave us wrong order and then tried to bring the again and again wrong order. But any way, the design and coffe was good.we will prefer to continue take away coffee instead of dine in:D

An absolutely perfect experience! Wonderful team of workers and customer focused service! Everyone is so friendly and accommodating that I've felt like VIP in here!

Also they give out bonuses like free welcome drinks and terrace access to the best view in the city!

Also of course not to say how iconic the architecture is!

Absolutly amazing and extraordinary experience. Very soft bed in centre of view on Prague Castle, Mánes gallery and National Theatre. Spacefull bathroom, extra big bath tube for 2.

The worst experience i ever had, I didn't even got the chance the get drinks. After 5 minutes of sitting at the table a semi-drunk waitress comes, we ask her to serve us something to which she replies that they don't have it but she will go back and ask the barman but apparently she was too busy drinking shoots and doing anything else as after 10 mins another waiter comes, takes our order and leaves returning after another 10 mins sayin that they don't have what we orderd. Worse of the worse possible. Pitty, they got a nice view...

Very cute retro decor. Comfy chairs. Great place to lounge and have a nice breakfast or lunch.

The place has a very nice and quiet backyard, but also quite a lot of space inside. We went there twice to eat during visiting Prague and both time were fully satisfied by the very well prepared Ukrainian and European cuisine, great service and very pleasant atmosphere.
Cottage cheese pancakes in the white chocolate sauce are the absolute must 🥰
Also, a very good shisha, which happens so rare in Europe 🔥

Definitely would come every other day if I lived in Prague.

Friendly receptionist. Room is big, has view to the river. Little noisy due to facing to the street but seems to be sound proof to the other rooms. Breakfast was ok food concerned but noce view to the river.
Our rooms electricity was not working. They immediately called for help. The hotel hasa cooperation with a parking house two blocks away.

Very pleasant atmosphere with a nice retro interior. It's great for a brunch that won't ruin you financially, and the dog there is a cutie.

Very nice rooftop bar in the center of Prague. Our group of 4 came here on a Monday evening, not too busy. We all got different gin and tonic cocktails and all were delicious! The bartenders were attentive and very friendly. Would recommend if you’re in Prague!

Cute little cafe with a nice atmosphere, nice coffee, tasty cakes and friendly staff. The lady that served me could see I was learning Czech and helped me speak instead of switching to English

As an Italian myself I mostly discourage people from eating Italian outside of Italy, as it's mostly a scam. But this place is a nice exception, the food was really good. I ate pizza and some of my friends had pasta. Everything was really good. The only small downside is that it can be a bit loud as a lot of people go to the market nearby.

Very close to the old town. And highly recommend to dine in instead of dinning in the old city because over there is extremely expensive.

It was our first time in Prague and this tourist attraction cum hotel appealed us. It had a great view (if you're facing the waters) and the room was spacious and clean. It was also convenient to get to places. There's a bus stop just nearby the hotel which can bring you to the main subway station or tourist attractions. It's also a great location to take a walk by the waters.
It has a simple hotel reception but we had a great time there!

We went to Costo looking for some nice food (and didn't want to pay 200 czk for an empanada in the Argentinian restaurace near it). Quantity of food was really good. Price is quite high but quality and situation is nice so it worth. We probably will came back.

This cafe has so good atmosphere. They have different kinds of drink. I had really tasty matcha tea latte with oat milk.

We have decided to give it a try, as we were in the area, good location - at the end we won't come again.
Drinks are very disappointing - pure water. Mohito is more like a lemonade.
The atmosphere is really more like coffee place, not good ventilation for making it a hookha bar.

Tables are close together and this place is usually quite busy both for dining in and take out.

Visited twice and both times the lemonade was served differently and different volumes.

Staff was friendly and helpful they have an English menu aswell.

Recommend the Red Velvet cake it was delicious!

The Pizzeria Corto is absolutely delicious! Located in the Old Town Square, you can sit outside in the Square and marvel at the beautiful architecture. Whether you go during the day or at night it is a good place to grab a bite to eat!

Had a great kalamari dish with some Guinness... BTW, great price for the Guinness... Never had payed less than 5 euros for a pint (although the glass in this pub was weirdly 40cl only) but still a great price for Guinness in Europe

A bit more expensive than the average cocktail bar. There's not a lot of seats outdoors, so if you're unlucky you may just miss out on the "rooftop" view. Despite this, good cocktails, well served. It looked a bit high-class at first but it turned out to be the perfect choice for a post-dinner drink with friends.

Kaaba is a fantastic Retro Cafe in the heart of Prague it’s a great place to get some food a drink or just chill with friends. Great for any time of day.

Bar staff were very friendly, good views, cocktails were delicious. Theres no lift going to the bar and the stairs are really windy. I would suggest getting hand rails putting in at the top part of the stairs. Prices are reasonable. It was a nice atmosphere as well.

One staff of them was unkind. He never smiled. BUT other is really friendly.

Delicious Czech cuisine, polite and friendly staff, nice ambience and music!!! Should really try the goulash soup!!! Also loved the pork ribs and the roasted duck plates!!

Located very central we decided to try some bohemian cuisine and can only highly recommend this place. With the small court yard/back garden to sit outside. The staff was super friendly and gave us some good recommendations. We had the bohemian style roast with gravy and dumplings, type of chicken cordon bleu with mashed potato and as a dessert a freshly made warm custard with fresh berries 👌. This place should not be missed when in that area. Value for money is also great considering the size and quality of the portions

They don't cook many things but the few meals they do will blow your mind. Homemade crisps that aren't greasy. Plus you can get Guinness here. What's not to like?

The restaurant is nice however the service is a bit slow and the food is passable for the price you pay.

Overall the restaurant in this price range does not really stand out beyond the crowd and overall the service lacks motivation as the staff are happy to talk between themselves by the bar than ask you for your order.
