Very nice place , can buy anything of the best spices and all Indian traditional food products, very helpful and nice friendly Staff, very good prices. It's very nice prices , I like this shop because they are not taking advantage of their own people, the prices are reasonable. Thanks for the great shop and thumbs up to the owner.

I recently visited 'Bazaar by Khan and Sons' located at Schützenstraße 1, 35398 Gießen, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The store presents a welcoming atmosphere with an incredibly friendly owner who makes shopping there very pleasant. The selection of items is truly international, offering a variety of goods that cater to diverse tastes and needs. Whether you're looking for exotic spices, unique international foods, or cultural artifacts, this bazaar has it all. The convenience of having such a wide range of international products available right in the heart of Gießen is remarkable.

Quite big as compared to other indian stores

Worst place to shop Indian grocery . They sell all the expired products in the shop. I went to return 5 kilograms of expired rice packet which was smelling ( bought without checking date ) , and they weighed the returned packet and charged for the missing weight ( around 1 kilo ).
Also they intentionally remove the expiration date from the packet. I am attaching a picture of ghee which they sell, there were around 8 pieces of this in the shop and from everything, they removed the month .also they keep only these packets there when they want to clear the stock .

You get most of the Asian supplies here. Great place to buy it in bulk. The frozen meat section is to be avoided. The rest is good.

Fast delivery - good products - I will order again !
Had a lot of Indian items. But it would have been really appreciated if they had a price tag next to the items or on the item to avoid going back to them to check the price of each product we want. Especially a student being on a budget, it is important to know the price before we purchase an item.
One Stop Shop for all the Indian groceries, vegetables and utensils. Basically, you can find anything that you miss in India. Whether it is a small bowl, a cooker, samosa, paneer, you name it. Anything that you don't get in the departmental store or a grocery store here in Berlin you can find it here. It is in a great location. Just walkable from postdamer platz and the shop owner is very friendly. Also, you can order from your phone and website. If your total bill is more than 60 euros they will deliver it to your home.

Possibly the worst Indian food I have ever tried. Dodgy atmosphere - feels like you could also order drugs here. Plenty of other good options around, the reviews must be bogus.
As I live a little outside of Berlin, I've been in the store but also ordered from the online shop. I cook Indian food at home so I get herbs, spices and copper kitchen items from the shop. The range of items is great. I've never not found what I'm looking for. Recently I bought a copper water bottle which is my all-time favourite now. I would also consider this shop to purchase items for friends who enjoy mindful gifts.

EXPIRED PRODUCTS!!! ⚠️⚠️ They make fool out of their costumers. Absolutely terrible experience at this store. Not only did they repeatedly sell expired products, but their staff also displayed incredibly rude and unprofessional behavior. It's shocking that a business like this is allowed to operate. Avoid this place at all costs! The irony is that when you go to them to return the expired products you will find the same products in the shelves with removed dates.

Have been going there with my wife since I arrived in Germany. Always found it average but the last visit was the worse of all. We went to the store after shopping from EuroGida and Woolworth and we had two bags full with us. The person sitting at counter rudely asked me to put the bags at the counter, it felt weird but I put them there anyway. Then he sent an employee behind us to follow and he kept creeping and asking "do you need anything?" Like come on man, we are seeing and will put what we need in the basket, leave us alone. That's exactly what I said to him. But the worst part was yet to come. When we were checking in our items it reminded we missed the Oyster Sauce and I asked the same guy who was following us that can you bring me the oyster sauce? He brought it and gave it to the man at counter and he again quite rudely asked us, "is this what you need? Please check it and don't say after that it was wrong." My wife jokingly said that it's a Pakistani store, everything here must be halal. The man said, "I have not seen people like you in my 37 years here." We were taken aback and still with a smiling face said what do you mean by that? And then he said that what you did last time I still remember. I had seen that person the first time and all of the 3 times I visited that store some other person used to be at counter. I said to him that you must be mixing us with some other people as I have seen you first time and it's always the other person. Then he starting talking very rudely that people like you come here and create problems and blah blah and my wife was still taking the humorous side of it and was joking and then that man said, "it's not a theatre here". I felt an urge of anger inside me and wanted to leave without taking anything but I had already paid by then.
In the end, never visiting that store again, you are representing my country there and you must be ashamed of way you talk to customers.

Avoid your visit if you don't speak German as staff doesn't speak English or any Indian language. Small store with very limited options. They don't accept card and the lady feels offended if you ask any question.

Good selection of Desi household items and exists in a good area of the city booming with Halal options. Halal meat is easy to get and the guy understands English (meat only).

The food is very expensive and people cannot eat it to their full stomach. There was no such food here. Which even a common person can easily eat.
Not recommended. False marketing, bad and unsafe products. I had ordered a wooden chakla and belan set. This is what was on the website and this is what I received. The yellow polish chips off the wood and gets stuck to the dough. Very unsafe.

They have all the basic stuff you would expect in an India shop. Nothing mind blowing. Wish there were more products in the ready to eat section. Liked the meat section. The sweets were terrible but one cannot expect authentic sweets outside our country. Wouldn't recommend that. I mostly go for the frozen parathas, spices, dal, besan, rava etc. Didn't try the idli/dosa batter. Will update after I tried that.

I had a disappointing experience at World Exotic Foods. The packaged food is alright, but the vegetables are of poor quality, almost rotten. The behavior of the salesmen and the owner is very rude. I'd recommend trying other Indian stores instead.
Indian store with a great price. The shopkeeper Rahim is a great person. Sometimes I call him to ask if anything is available or order something to bring for next time.
The store has a high availability of products you usually get in south asia and gives quite a south asian vibe. The issue is, it gives a south asian vibe even from the aspect of electronic payments. Firstly we aren't living in the 90's. Actually credit cards worked more easily in the 90's than today so this store actually takes you back to the 80's which is fine, but they advertise apple pay on their entrance which is also fine but they should also mention that there is a minimum price requirement to use apple pay because I entered the store after reading the apple pay logo. I was quite disappointed when I was asked to pay cash in 2023. I hope one day we move past this era of cash payments.

Went there at 6pm but meat was already closing. Was dirty and poorly maintained. Noticed expired oil on the shelves. However the mango was good and sweet

I regularly buy food stuff from here but many times I found they keep expired products,it means they don't manage their inventories wisely and don't keep eyes on expired products,Today I bought this kheer Mix,which expired on 2nd Oct.2021.

Ich habe bei ihrem Online Shop etwas bestellt, nach 1 1/2 Monat wird es noch nicht geliefert. Ich versucht mehr mals mit dem Inhaber zu kontaktieren. Niemand antwortet. Zum erstmal in Deutschland diesen Fall betroffen.
You can find many indian vegetables. And the prices were from 6 to 8 Euros per Kg. It is best for vegetables. But other rice, lentils etc were a bit costly compared to other nearby Indian stores

I was able to find all the Indian groceries/ food items at a reasonable price. The frozen samosas were amazing
World Exotic Food sent me damaged items worth 116€. Sent me opened rice packet and mango juice got mixed together with open rice. The rice was all over the stairs and my apartment. Also sent me rotten Samosas and fungus filled beans. They asked me to eat the beans which do not have yet fungus. Also asked me to clean rice and eat it. They said that they will not reimburse me the amount for the damaged items. Please be beware of this shop. Better to order from either nearby asian shop or from other better online grocery sites. There is no zero star otherwise would have given that.
This store is very helpful for Asians. It provides fresh vegetables from India as well as seasonal fruits. Price is also reasonable according to Europe. Frozen food like fish, Paratha,samosa, prawns are also available. Snacks from Haladiram and TRS products available. We tried Malabar paratha and it was too good.

You will find most of the indian things that you need. Flours, pulses, grains, spices. Even some biscuits and chips and cold drink as well. We went searching for wheat flour and gram flour and found it!!

I got Paneer Tikka Masala and Palak Paneer along with Garlic Naan delivered. In short, the food was absolutely disgusting.
Longer version: The Palak Paneer tasted stale and strange, as though they had warmed up frozen ingredients and dumped a bunch of incoherently assembled spices. The Paneer Tikka Masala was even worse. They added tons of flourescent red food coloring (why, dear God, why?) which made it look supremely unappetizing. The flavor, once you crossed the hurdle of spooning a bite, was just vomit inducing. The naan could easily have been mistaken for a piece of beige old leather with burn marks, and I bet the leather would have tasted better. How can a so-called desi restaurant screw up something as basic as a naan so badly?
Please do yourselves and your digestive system a favor and avoid this place like the plague.

Beim Versuch, ein Paket über DHL zu verschicken, stellte sich heraus, dass der Laden keine Waage hatte. Der Besitzer meinte genervt, es sei nicht seine Aufgabe, eine Waage bereitzustellen, und ich müsse selbst entscheiden, welchen Versand ich wähle. Ich brachte mein Paket schließlich zu einer anderen DHL-Stelle, wo mir das Wiegen problemlos ermöglicht wurde. Da frage ich mich, wie kann man mit so vielen verschieden Paket Unternehmen zusammenarbeiten, aber keine Waage haben.
Auch bei einer Retoure über UPS hatte ich Schwierigkeiten. Nach ein paar Tagen hatte sich im Sendungsverlauf nichts getan, aber ich dachte, dass es schon funktionieren würde. Nach 15 Tagen überprüfte ich erneut den Status und stellte fest, dass das Paket immer noch nicht abgeholt worden war. Ich kontaktierte den UPS-Kundenservice, der eine Paketsuche startete und mir empfahl, im Laden nachzufragen, ob das Paket möglicherweise dort liegen geblieben sei. Als ich im Laden ankam, traf ich erneut auf den unhöflichen Inhaber. Ich bat höflich darum, nachzusehen, ob mein Paket noch dort war, aber er weigerte sich und empfahl mir erneut, mich an den Kundenservice zu wenden. Ich erklärte ihm, dass ich das bereits getan hatte und sie mir geraten hatten, persönlich vorbeizukommen. Er zeigte keinerlei Bereitschaft, mir zu helfen. Ich äußerte meine Meinung, dass er offensichtlich zu faul sei und keinen Bock hatte, nachzusehen. Daraufhin antwortete er mit einem Lachen: "Ja, das kann sein", und ging einfach weg. Delicious food, great butter chicken and chicken madras. We were not happy with one dish but the restaurant quickly sent a replacement. Great customer service.
Good location and very good service. One of the pros is it's open on Sundays in Germany. Prices are comparatively low with other asian Indian supermarket. Also very much happy with the customer service.

Extremely rude delivery staff. I was a regular customer that lives on the 4th floor, and the delivery person had the nerve to tell me that he won’t come up to the door every time because I don’t leave a tip (that is voluntary). Extremely rude and unprofessional.

Dong Xuan Center has 6, 7 shops with far better quality and range of Pakistani/Indian gorceries. A lots of free parking is also available.

Very good Indian Store with almost all the basic needs. The guy who owns the place is so friendly.
When you pay please check your bill you will find one extra item always costing somewhere around 1€ under label 'Lebensmittel'. They are charging unnecessarily (may be coz you are going to their store).

The shop is kind of compact in size and contained miscellaneous products.
Probably it was just a wrong timing, but not all the products had price tag on them and I felt the box of sweet I bought to be slightly overpriced. Realized only later that the product I bought would expire in next 2 months. Did they charge me extra for the clearance sale or what? 🤔😅

I bought two paneer packs. Both were rotten.
I wanted to shop Indian veggies, at the entrance there was a note that all veggies for €3.80/kg, little did I know it was a gimmick to lure customers. Never I witnessed this in Germany.
There’s no doubt that this shop has variety of vegetables and fruits. I bought okra, bottle gourd, jackfruit and tender coconut. Total was around €18 which was too expensive!!
Okra costed around €2 for 300 gms which is same price in any other Indian store.
Small bottle gourd costed around €3 which was fresh and tasty.
Tender coconut costed around €3 but it was so hard to open at home. Also the water was yellow & tasted weird not sure if it’s supposed to be that way or was rotten. Shop keeper said he is giving 80 cent discount, maybe cuz it was old. Kaufland has tender tender coconuts.

Ich war gestern bei euch 17.12.2022 um 17:30Uhr .Ich habe 2 Schwarzpfeffer Tüten schon gekauft. Die Mitarbeiterin meinte,dass keine Kartezuzahlung möglich ist und sie hat nicht akzeptiert einen Kassenbon zu geben.Sie war richtig frech und Aggressiv. It's located in the first floor. A small supermarket with Asian groceries (Indian, Sri Lankan and Thai). Not much Indian items though Masala etc are available. They don't accept card. So, please carry cash. Staffs are polite.
Really unfriendly and unhelpful lady there who just responds with no whenever you ask her for help (both in German and English)… maybe she’s having a bad day but still not cool way to treat a customer. Other than that, stocked pretty well
I was keen to try out a new Indian restaurant and I picked this one.

Chicken pakora came completely dry and slightly burned, onion bhaji was more like soggy onion rings.
And dall tarka flavour was just nothing I have had before.

Stay away from this online store. They have a quite advanced method of stealing from the products. They cut the bag of spices, they steal part of it and they try to cover the cut with transparent film tape!!! And then they ship the spices bags hoping that the clients will not observe the transparent film tape and the missing quantity. :( This my experience with india-store.de : I was placing an order to India Store, order no. 100206 from 05/03/2022 02:43:13. The items are different bags of spices. I received all the bags, looked at them quick and I thought they are in good order. I placed them in the storage room until first use. In few weeks I wanted to use the TRS Black Pepper Whole, Content: 400 g and, at a closer look, I noticed that the bag was cut and then taped with transparent adhesive tape. I measured the quantity and there were 280 g of pepper seeds instead of 400 g. In other words, I received a cut bag of pepper seeds and a third of quantity was stolen.
As soon as I noticed the problem I sent an email to the store, but they claimed claimed it was too late (it was a month). The truth is that I could not notice this theft made professionally to be unobserved (they used transparent adhesive tape and they stolen just a part of the quantity, hoping that nobody will notice).
My question to them is are they more interested in how quick I observed the damage / missing products or they are interested that one of your clients received a black pepper bag that was cut, a third of the quantity stolen and then taped with transparent tape? This is not concerning them? The missing part is 1.497 Euro. This is my loss. They think that I am spending my time for about 1.5 Euro? No, I am making a complain as a principle of honor. They should stop doing this and you should check if their employees are not stealing products parts in this way. And I am not sure if the product was not becoming dirty or somehow affected during the stealing.

I was hoping for ghee, national chili powder, chili garlic sauce and stuff but I am glad I found Pakistani tea.
Good place to get indian grocery. Shopkeeper speaks hindi as well so easy for new commers to contact who speaks less or no English
A huge variety of items, friendly staff, and halal products! This place offers Indian, Pakistani, Afro, and Turkish items. It was fascinating to see the Indian and Pakistani Roohafza stacked next to each other at the store. Fruits, vegetables, milk and poultry, frozen foods, fresh meat, spices, lentils, condiments, you name it, they have it. What more can one ask for? Must check out for sure.

I bought 250 gram paneer in 2.79 euro and masala wafers in 1.69 euro
I ordered groceries over phone and they deliver it to the apartment within an hour. Very prompt service. Reliable definitely.

We ordered via Lieferando twice and the food was delicious and fresh. The dessert was very fatty and sweet. I was surprised by the taste.

You can find almost all indian, pakistani and bangladeshi items even though the shop is very small.
Well behaved store keepers. By far the cheapest option for most Indian grocery items. Been a regular visitor here and this is my go to place for Indian groceries. I find almost everything for Indian cooking, particularly grains and pulses. I haven't compared prices, but I believe the prices are at par with any other Indian grocery shop. Paneer is regularly in stock here. Would suggest visiting this place and decide for one self.
It's a small shop but has most of the things you need. It's filled with many items, starting from items for eating to items for celebrations! Also if you are looking for Indian vegitables n all, then this is not the shop. It has all packages items. Shopkeeper is polite and friendly.
Glad to see such a variety of stuff in Giessen. I would highly recommend everyone to visit and shop at this grocery store.
This shop has good range of Asian items. Card payments are accepted for purchases above 10 EUR. Bus station is just in front of the shop.
I have recently arrived in Berlin and really didn’t know where to buy Indian groceries. Upon suggestions from my friends/brother, I visited this store which in the center of Berlin and was very surprised to find that they have all kind of Indian/Asian foods imported from India and other Asian countries. They have a fresh stock of imported fruits, vegetables and all kind of south Indian spices. I visited a couple of times and always found that the store is kept always clean and tidy, further the staff is very supportive and cooperative. The owner’s family that runs this business is very courteous and always showed their willingness to help. I really appreciate their friendly interaction. I bought several frozen foods, snacks, spices, fruits, vegetables, sweets and several other items that all tasted best and were of great quality. This is one of the best stores in Berlin/Germany to buy all basic Indian or Asian foodstuff. I really recommend this store for all those interested in buying genuine Indian or Asian groceries.
Really good Indian grocery store. Has almost all the spices, spice mixes, condiments, fresh vegetables, paneer (Indian cottage cheese), pappadums, wheat and rice flour, chutneys etc. You need to pay €0.50 if you need the jute carry bag. The guy in the store is really friendly and offered to help us too in our search for spices. All in all...very good Indian store with reasonable prices.
