Very moving exhibit that I would rate as must-see for any Berlin visitor! The phone-based free audio guide tour was excellent, make sure to bring your earphones.
A Great History of the Nazi era in Germany from 1933 to 1945. There are two museums at this location ,one outside and the other inside . The outside one is covered partially by a polycarbonate roof. The inside museum There are a lot of permanent exhibitions displayed in this large museum. At the entrance to this museum, there is a section of the old Berlin Wall still standing here. A great place to visit if you are interested in the history of the Third Reich.
Great first stop in Berlin if you want to learn about the regime. Lays down some important historical context about WW2 that will help for other museums that you may go to.
This place is very educational. I learned a lot. You just need some time, reading all, if not some of the text on the wall/board. It also seemed so quiet on this place. The museum is free of charge.

A pure piece of history and an absolute must see when visiting Berlin. I would have stated alot longer but it started pouring rain. The art work is fantastic but looking at the wall from the side you can't help but think what it must have been like before it was tore down. I highly recommend a visit. Check weather forecast first
Beautiful and diverse paintings on a piece of history, really fun to see, very picturesque, and for free! My only issue was how touristy it was there but I suppose that's to be expected from such a notable place. What I appreciate, though, was how respectful other people were when taking pictures - they'd politely wait until you took your pictures and only then they would walk by. Very nice! Another detail I liked about the wall was that there were names of the paintings and artists written in front of the paintings.
Lovely sculpture park with German artists. You can see the whole thing in about 15-20 minutes if you happen to arrive just before closing like we did.

Go on a nice day and enjoy.
A lovely, peaceful place that's free!
There's no toilet or café, but you will probably only spend 1 hour there.
Some of the sculptures were not to our taste, but it's a pleasant place to walk in the sunshine.
Always a nice place to visit and enjoy the great variety of sculptures. Would love to see the café open again…

This is an extremely comprehensive and FREE museum on the site of the former German SS and Gestapo police forces during WW2.

The indoor portion is very detailed and provides many photos and artifacts of the rise of the brutal police state via massive control of propaganda and terror. This will take you at least 1 hour to properly digest with the audio guide on your phone.

The outdoor portion complements this with more of a summary timeline presented against the backdrop of the Berlin Wall and trench.

I recommend at least 90 minutes to get a good sense of the museum but probably more like 2-3 hours.

Well worth the few bucks it costs. Interesting to read about the Krupp family history. Staff was friendly and helpful. Expect to spend between 1 and 3 hours here.

If you're planning to visit Jewish Museum then I highly recommend you to visit this one as well. Checkpoint Charlie is nearby as well.

It was very informative and there is a free guided tour every Sunday at 3.30pm. Definitely worth it. They also offer audio guide if you're not there on Sunday.

free entrance of
This is an impressive villa that underwent redecorating after the first owner died. The family portraits in the entrance hall are great. We went on a guided tour. Otherwise we would not have learned anything about the place as it's not a museum with a curated exhibition. Rather, the villa is mainly used for Foundation events and concerts. They have a small exhibition on the Krupp family in a side wing of the house. I would have loved to get more hardcore history facts. But it was a nice visit.

A reasonable 5 euro admission with free parking.
Lovely home of the Krupp family with historical information and displays.
Two main houses to see, the small and large.
The large is very grandiose with an amazing upstairs space and remarkable ceiling.
Nice grounds to walk round.

The ticket costs 10€. But inside there are few rooms to see. Beautiful park, this is where you should take a walk.
A special place, not super big but it’s high quality. Visited on a beautiful sunny day so of course this helps, but there are some wonderful works to see and engage with and it’s free to enter which is nice.

Wonderful outdoor space with large and some small scale sculptures for viewing. Perfect spot to relax and enjoy some art or peacefulness while being surrounded by culture. One missing element would be some benches to sit but instead bring a blanket and relax on the grass.

This is a private home. There is a sign in front to remember Anna Frank.

Very beautiful park to spend Saturday at. A lot of pieces of art, can see bunnies running around. Has a nice cafe nearby in case you need a snack or coffee. Close to tram stop Zoo/Flora. Easily reachable by tram number 18. After the park you can enjoy the walk near Rhein, Seilbahn or Zoo/Botanical Garden, which are just few minutes away.

Tucked away in the city of Essen, Villa Hugel is the epitome of opulence and historical grandeur. The stunning mansion, once the residence of the esteemed Krupp family, is an architectural marvel, with a breathtaking display of intricate woodworks, most notably the awe-inspiring staircase. The first floor's expansive living room, boasting a beautiful glass ceiling, will make you feel like you've stepped into another era. As you meander through the mansion, don't miss the rich collection of paintings, each telling a fascinating story. Outside, the verdant park and garden are a perfect complement to the villa's grandeur. The visit is made even more engaging with an augmented reality application, breathing new life into this historical gem. And with commendable attention to accessibility for elderly and disabled visitors, Villa Hugel ensures an inclusive and enriching experience for all.
The place full of history
Weiter so...
Marbachweg 307 is the place where Anne Frank lived with her sister Margot Frank and her parents Edith and Otto Frank between 1929 to 1931. This was her first home ever, where she spent the first two years of her life, probably her happiest years of life. She died at the age of 15. She died in a concentration camp. She was an ordinary girl who fancied being a journalist someday. That day never came. Instead, she became the voice of six million Jews who were systematically murdered between 1941 and 1945. Her book The Diary of a Young Girl was translated into 67 languages and sold more than 30 million copies.
Frank was born Annelies or Anneliese Marie Frank on 12 June 1929 at the Maingau Red Cross Clinic in Frankfurt, Germany, to Edith (née Holländer) and Otto Heinrich Frank. She had an older sister, Margot. The Franks were liberal Jews, and did not observe all of the customs and traditions of Judaism. They lived in an assimilated community of Jewish and non-Jewish citizens of various religions. Edith was the more devout parent, while Otto was interested in scholarly pursuits and had an extensive library; both parents encouraged the children to read. At the time of Anne's birth the family lived in a house at Marbachweg 307, where they rented two floors.
