Simple and old fashioned rooms don't expect luxury facilities

Wunderschöner Ort und so liebenswürde Betreuung des Campingteams. Das Essen ist sehr frisch und lecker. Ich liebe es dahin zu kommen und in dieser wunderschönen Umgebung zu entspannen.
Wir haben diesen Platz eher zufällig entdeckt und uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Man steht - trotz der nahe gelegenen Straße und Bahntrasse - recht ruhig. Sanitäranlagen sind top. Im Restaurant kann man gut essen, auf Wunsch bekommt man auch glutenfreie Speisen. Der Ort eignet sich hervorragend für Ausflüge in die Umgebung - ob zu Fuß, mit dem Rad oder mit der Bahn, es gibt eine Menge zu entdecken.
Der Platz und die Betreiber haben uns absolut begeistert. Spontan gebucht, spontan verlängert wegen defektem Fahrrad. Alles total unkompliziert.
Sanitärbereich war super sauber. Platz sehr gepflegt. Hunde sehr willkommen und man achtet im Restaurant darauf, wo die Hunde es am ruhigsten und entspanntesten haben. Essen im Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen, waren deshalb auch zweimal dort essen. Unbedingt die tollen Schnäpse und Liköre probieren.
Wir haben uns unfassbar wohl gefühlt und deshalb war es auch nicht schlimm, dass wir wegen dem Fahrrad länger bleiben mussten, als geplant. Wir können nur Danke sagen, für die schöne Zeit.

Für uns eine ideale Zwischenübernachtung mit Wohnwagen. Nahe der Autobahn gelegen. Sanitäranlagen sollte man selbst dabei haben. Die Familie ist super freundlich, hilfsbereit und sympathisch. Sie haben sich viel Zeit für uns genommen und beim Einweisen und Manövrieren geholfen. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Gerne wieder!

Sehr schöner kleiner Campingplatz. Hervorzuheben sind die sehr sauberen Santäranlagen. Das gesamte Team war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider war das Mobilfunknetz zeitweise sehr schlecht. Allerdings konnte man rund um das Rezeptionsgebäude immer das WLAN nutzen. Ein kleiner Nachteil war unser Platz direkt unter einer Tanne. Nicht angenehm wenn die Tannenzapfen auf das Wohnmobildach fallen. Wir haben uns dennoch wohl gefühlt und würden wiederkommen. Wir würden nur um einen anderen Platz bitten.
Mein Mann und ich haben im Hotel Wittekindshof unsere Hochzeit gefeiert und es war ein absoluter Traum 🥰 das Essen war durchweg perfekt, ALLES hat geschmeckt, der Service war so flott und hilfsbereit, gleichzeitig auch extrem freundlich! 😊 die Location war einfach wunderschön und man hat sich dabei sehr viel Mühe gegeben dass wir den Raum nach unseren Vorstellungen gestalten konnten. Die Getränke waren ebenfalls exquisit und man hatte nie lange ein leeres Glas stehen. Danke an das gesamte Team, welches uns am 11./12. und 13. August begleitet hat!! 🙏🏼☺️🎉
Man fühlt sich wirklich gut behandelt. Das Personal ist so freundlich. Immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen.
Und das Essen war so toll. Ich schwärme immer noch vom Essen. Es war geschmacklich einfach eine Wucht. Meine größten Komplimente gehen an die Köche in der Küche. Bravo!

Schöner kleiner Campingplatz,super Restaurant mit echt leckeren Speisen. Sanitär zu jeder Zeit super sauber. Wir waren 2 Wochen hier und wären gerne noch länger geblieben, kommen bestimmt wieder.
Very cozy place. Beautiful and delicious cakes. Also have decaf coffee option. The only thing I would recommend to improve the environment is to have some decoration on the tables outside. They looked a bit empty 🙂
Ich war mit meinem Aufenthalt im Hotel sehr zufrieden. Mein Zimmer war wirklich sehr sauber und gemütlich, man hat wirklich alles, was man braucht. Wir haben dort unsere Hochzeit gefeiert. Ich muss gestehen es war alles wunderschön. Personal sehr freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. All unsere Wünsche würde erfüllt. Besser hätten wir es nicht vorstellen können. Für uns eine Traumlocation. Essen war sehr lecker. Wir kommen sehr gern wieder. Wir können es wirklich weiter empfehlen
Zimmer im tadellosem Zustand, sauber und zweckmäßig. Leider war es etwas zu warm und da die Straße quasi am Bett vorbei rausch, konnte man das Fenster in der Nacht nicht öffnen. Personal ist sehr freundlich soweit ich mit den Mitarbeiter*innen von der Raumpflegerin über den Service und Rezeption gesprochen habe. Frühstück und Mittagessen hatten wir vom Buffet und es war sehr gut da findet jeder etwas, das Roastbeef war der Hammer Ein wenig störend ist die fehlende Hotelbar und die Preise der Getränke oder im Restaurant, aber bei den aktuellen Energie und Einkaufskosten muss man da einfach drüber hinweg sehen.

Very very bad experience in this hotel.. the room was dirty and full of insects.. everything in the room was rusty and not usable.. I give 0 score! 👎
We came upon Peterhof by way of getting stranded en route to the 2023 Wacken Open Air festival. The festival organizers halted all admissions on the starting day of the event due to unprecedented rainfalls. We traveled from Canada to attend and had rented a camper van. During the chaos of formulating a backup plan (in light of the festival cancellation), the owners of Peterhof, Alexandra and Gordon, reached out to stranded attendees via social media, kindly offering refuge at their inn. We took them up on this generous offer and rerouted to Peterhof. Upon arrival we were blown away--this place is straight out of a fairytale. It was the most idyllic accommodation we experienced throughout our travels in Europe. Alexandra and Gordon gave us a tour of the property and made us feel at home.
We spent the evening at Peterhof and eventually departed in the wee hours to enter the festival (long story). I don't typically write reviews, but Peterhof is truly special and the owners are genuinely caring people who helped us out in a stressful situation. The tranquility of the property and tasteful hospitality put us at ease. Alex and Gordon, you saved our butts and you'll always have a place to stay in Canada.

We spent 4 nights with our tent at the Trendcamping.
The camping is very neat and clean with excellent services, and located in a beautiful place in the middle of the Black Forest.
The food at the restaurant is delicious 😃 and the staff is very friendly and professionnel.

Das Hotel habe ich nicht von innen gesehen, weil durch Fehlbuchung um 4 Wochen der gebuchter Termin nicht zustande kam. Der Hinweis, ich solle es positiv sehen, dass ich froh sein könne, dass ich es 4 Wochen vorher erfahren habe, fand ich ziemlich daneben. Da der Aufenthalt Teil einer längeren Radtour mit anderen geplanten Unterkünften war, müssen wir nun in der Hauptsaison etwas anderes suchen.... Also was die Buchungszuverläassigkeit angeht ...Daumen tief nach unten!

Das komplette Fehlen einer Hotelbar führte zu Hilflosigkeit bei den Mitarbeitern im Bezug auf das Servieren von Getränken.

Very comfortable to staying here, the workers here take good care of us, they help to answer our questions. Location is good next to Koln train station and next to the river we can take a walk for rest.

Have been there with friends. First of all you should have a reservation. It's a very beautiful place so you won't be the only one having the idea to spend time there.
The food was excellent. Taste was delicious and it was nice to look at. We ate it all. Drinks fell off a bit, I'd say it was the only thing that was only average. But again, everything else was perfect. We didn't have desserts but what I've been able to spot on other tables looked really good.

Or from Sachsenhausen its about 15-20 kms along the southern Main Ufer (by the way a segment of the JakobsWeg). The confluence of the Nidda is right there.
Over the years I also witnessed the loving restauration of the whole ship with its charming and beautiful decorated hotel rooms: each one individual!
Not to be missed!

Location 5*;Cleanness 5*;Room 2* - very narrow, bathroom with no door. Accoustic isolation 1* - you can hear the music from the pub next door untill they close.
I enjoyed the stay indeed. The hotel had excellent location to cathedral dom and the shopping street and river Rhein, also the staff are very friendly, receptionists are available 24 hours and very welcoming. Room is very clean and cozy. I will come back again. Highly recommend 🇸🇦🇸🇦

Excellent hotel. Nice spacious room (#105). Comfy bed. Clean and perfect bathroom. Breakfast option. Conveniently located in the city center. The famous Köln Cathedral is a less then 10 min walk.

Simple, worth the price. Large clean rooms, good beds, nice hard hot shower. It is all a bit dated, but well maintained and clean.
Parking on its own terrain/garage, but there was enough room on the street as well. At the trainstation there was an EV charger which we used during the night.

Nice location but the particularly waiter on this occasion was extremely unfriendly/unhelpful.
Slightly bizarre experience, with our room in the basement and arguably in the middle of being renovated. There was also a cupboard full of towels and linen, suggesting we were put in a staff room or something often used for storage. Still…warm shower, a clean bed.
Small but local well placed and priced hotel near the festival hall. And near a shopping mall. Very much a cheap hotel and though clean the room was a mush mash of furniture and badly laid out. It was in the basement where works were being carried out. There was no breakfast although this had been advertised and as there’s so little by way of cafe or bakery nearby that was an issue. Concierge was not available and we had to wait outside until we got through to someone by phone. No drink available. Parking nearby is on street and only free at the weekend.
We were made to feel very welcome. The staff took their time explaining the menu as only in German.
We were not rushed to eat up and move on.

Völlig dubiose "Geschäftsführung". Bei unserer Anreise wurden wir in einer Seitenstraße von einem Herren empfangen, der wohl die Rezeption darstellen sollte. Unseren Schlüssel für unser Zimmer haben wir erhalten mit dem Hinweis, er sei für ein anderes Hotel zuständig. Der Ansprechpartner des Shop 23 sei nur über eine Telefonnummer erreichbar, die man bei booking erfragen könne. Das Zimmer entsprach keinesfalls unseren Erwartungen und wir sind wenig anspruchsvoll. Das Badezimmer war nur punktuell geputzt, an den Wänden am Kopfende war der Schmalz der Gäste deutlich zu erkennen. Die Fernbedienung zum Fernseher haben wir nur auf Anfrage erhalten. Diese half jedoch nicht - der Fernseher hatte kein Signal. Darauf angesprochen verwies der Herr am Empfang an Shop 23. Das Problem mit dem Fernseher sei schon länger bekannt. "Irgendwann kommt da ein Techniker," . Herr K. von Shop 23 behauptete entgegen, das Problem erst heute registriert zu haben. Erst nach längerem Daraufhindrängen sicherte er widerwillig zu, dass sich noch heute jemand darum kümmere. Zurück im Zimmer war der Zustand unverändert.

Great staff (very friendly), good and spaced room with a great bathroom. Services also good. Only point of attention, no AC (in my specific room). Very well located (5min from the train station and 2min from restaurants)
If you want to sleep in your grandmother's couch, this is the place for you. Everything, including the wiring is old. The rooms have a key which locks on one side. Not totally safe if you're travelling solo. The bed was the comfiest part of my stay everything else was a little dated.
The Staff are really nice and helpful. The accommodation is very clean, affordable and comfortable. The location is very good and near the public transport.

Individuelle Zimmer, ein Trauzimmer, Kamin, Kronleuchter, ein richtig schöner Garten, leckeres Essen und mehr. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und es war eine gelungene Feier. Wir können den Peterhof nur weiterempfehlen.

Very friendly and staff! Room is quite spacious and clean. The pictures in the frames are a bit weird though. My room was made and cleaned very nicely. Be careful when showering because there is a gap between shower glass and the bathtub, water will go everywhere on the floor if you don’t position the glass carefully!
Breakfast was simple with assorted muesli, cold meat, cheese, bread, milk, juice, tea and coffee. Will recommend. You need to catch the bus to get here (or drive). The public transport options are not available on google maps - you need to go to RMV’s website and search there and buy tickets on their app.

Unglaublich! This IS the place to stay in the city! Loved the bed, wonderful shower, friendly helpful staff. There are USB ports next to the beds for easy tech charging.😉 No need for a key because someone is at the front desk 24 hours/7 days. Will highly recommend.
A traveller's hotel with very simple tastes. No atmosphere but cheap and clean. Breakfast only €5 pppd but can't recommend it. Coffee was cold and stale bread rolls.
I liked the place, room was clean, bed comfortable, everything was working, quite, no noise. I would stay again in the same room.

This is a good hotel and the concept is unique by making the hotel and restaurant in the standing boat.
The views of river are amazing where as the structure is good to accommodate the gathering. The boat is docked just near by the fort and church and they also have good sitting arrangements outside of boat and in the lush green park.

This Hotel has no restaurant! Rooms big but a bit dirty, no space to work with Standard notebook, desk way to small.
Washing room, in bad shape, old style, poorly renovated some years ago. Hardware on the doors rusty and squeaking like hell.

Beware! This is a book fair tourist trap! I’ve stayed two nights for the fair with a colleague. Our two single rooms turned out to be connected appartements, only separated by two small shelves (so much for privacy). The WiFi didn’t work on our top floor, the reception was frequently unoccupied (when I did find someone and complained they offered a different room, which I didn’t take, cause I didn’t have the time to switch), there was no shower curtain in the bathroom (just the plain tub), and the whole condition of the rooms was sub-standard, everything worn down, furniture thrown together without taste or sense and only just about clean. But oh yes, the towels were changed and the bed made daily, which did exactly nothing to improve the general impression. All of this at rather high prices which were probably adjusted specifically to the very high demand during the book fair. As other reviewers have done before, I can only assume that some of the very positive reviews have been bought, because the place really doesn’t deserve that (or any) kind of praise.
I tried to book a room via a hotel booking portal. I received the message that I would have to pre-pay by credit card in order to arrive after 18h. I added the credit card to the booking and received again the message that they would close at 18h and that I couldn't arrive any later. When I called to understand what might have gone wrong, the guy got really rude on the phone and hung up. This place feels very much like a total rip off...
Perfect location - about 5 minutes walk to Central Station. Close to cathedral and the Rhine. Staff very friendly and made us feel welcome. Good range of foods for breakfast. Would have liked tea making facilities in the room but not a major problem - having a mini bar was good as we could buy water and keep it cool. Room a little hot but there was a fan provided. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone who was planning a visit to Cologne.
Quaint and a little out of the way. Inside and outside this was a very beautiful location.
A little in the middle of no where but that is the charm of this place. If you have personal specific needs then come prepare.. staff will go out of their comfort to help anyone. Best hospitality in Germany. Made the stay memorable..
The first encounter was not good but this is where customer service with a heart comes in. I had a double booking with an error and one colleague was not the friendliest. The manager correct this. BRAVO. Customer centric with a smile. Very nice rooms direct parking in front of the house. Nice little boutique hotel.
This 400 years old house and the beautiful view will make it an unforgettable stay.

Nice, well located, good price, and buffet style breakfast is a good choice to one night stay, since at the area there is not too much convenience stores nearby. Clean and has a nice view.
Location is good, rooms small but clean and nicely equipped. The food was really tasty. The only issue I had, was the attitude of the person checking us in.
Cramped conditions. Breakfast ok. We had no help with our bags. The manager stood and watched us.
If you are looking for beautiful, comfy and big rooms, this hotel is geeat. The Staff is extraordinarily friendly and goes beyond normal Service to assist their guests. Very Professional stay. Very Clean. Amazing breakfast. I am honestly Impressed. Even If the exterior doesn't look very modern,the interior is designed very beautiful with a little terrace in the Summer.
A bit loud, but otherwise great including great breakfast
Simple but nice. The Hotel is ideal for very short, budget stays. I just had to spend a rather short night and all I needed was a nice, clean bed.

In short, since there is a character limit to this review, the room was originally wrong. We got moved to a different room which was okay but many things were broken or not working. However, The staff let themselves in and out of our room the next morning with their master key - whilst we were there! - without knocking or asking and took pictures of our room whilst we were in it. We were very uncomfortable with this.

Without apology he told us we had to move to a different room immediately as it was costing them too much to have us in our current room (?!)
He gave us 5 minutes before we had to be out of the room (note that we still had to pack everything away).
Our new room was filthy, black mould in the bathroom, fixtures hanging from walls, loose electrical sockets. We called the manager in the look at it and his response to everything was "it's fine", "don't worry about it", and "just open the door for 5 minutes and the mould smell will go".
We went to check out at 7am on leaving day and could find no member of staff to check out with, despite check out being between 6am and 1pm. Ended up leaving our key with the housekeeping lady so that we didn't miss our train.

Clean quiet establishment, perfect for a Wedding Celebration.
Decent accommodation, decent food. Absolutely horrendous WIFI. Although it's "Free" make no mistake that guests are paying for a service that is too slow to use. I tried to work and gave up.
Big clean room, close to Spandau station and shops, thick walls - quiet, friendly personnel, large tv, comfortable bed, cheap and tasty breakfast (included in the bill)

Lovely hotel, nicely situated near the Mathildenhohe. Good restaurant just around the corner. Free parking. Very Large room with terrace. Invloed it

It was interesting, after a few years of absence, to see how this old neighborhood hotel was transformed into a high end (yet affordable) private boutique place. A sort of haven to arrive in. The rooms are stupendous, each has its own artistic theme with its clean energies. The placement of this location is obviously superbly privileged, within a one minute walk of the Russian chapel / MathildenHöhe Museum. There is something otherworldly to this space. Parking available, with discrete security within steps of the entrance, which is rare... and the copious breakfast was luxurious and healthy, even Vegans get what they need. Many thanks to Mr. Imran Malik who manages this "radiant zone" with effortless ease, and who is teaching his wonderful young team how to treat the sacred traveler after hours of cruising through Europe. He made sure we had an excellent and peaceful time while recharging the batteries for our onward journey. Until next time my friends! Be well! Nice hotel, decent service for the price. Staff were nice, the breakfast could be better, more staff needed to help people at breakfast time.
