Best Gay bars in Denmark

Lovely bar with great theming. Lots of smokers so if that’s not for you I would avoid but deffo worth a visit

Used to be a nice bar. Crowd changed from mixed to mostly twenties. Unfortunately, rude and egocentric staff. Listened to hiphop and rap all evening. When we asked to listen to something more gay-friendly, we were told "if you don't like the music, go to another bar". Also, heavy smoking inside... Probably our last visit to Jailhouse.

I am so disappointed.. Used to go here during my visits to Copenhagen. I'll avoid it at any cost now..
New, young, a little rude staff. Music for my kids not to be.. Sorry..

The menu has a value, and the bartender charges a different value, I noticed it when I ordered some beers and he charged me one value, the next order he made a different charge again. They try to scam you.

Jailhouse CPH has a nice crowd and it's a decent cosy place for the bear community in København. You can smoke indoors and it gets pretty crowded during the weekends in the evening.

I hade the time of my life at this bar, because it is so small it is really “cosy” ;). Even if some thinks that the place is very small, for me I didn’t mind that because the vibe was there and that is what made it so fun. I think the music was great (most of the times but that is the way of any bar anywhere), the service was fast and the bartenders was very nice/friendly. There is no smoking inside which is good, the alcohol was at a good price as well.

I love the idea that it was only females working there! And I will totally comeback when I vista Copenhagen again!

DJ was shocking, the song choices and the mixing was terrible. Stayed for one drink and then quickly got out of there. Positive is that there is no smoking in the venue which is good!

Not a great fan. The jailhouse theme isn’t really working with just a few bars up to give the impression of a cell and the bartenders wearing a uniform. Not very immersive. Main issue is the heavy smoke inside the venue from the number of people smoking and the lack of ventilation.

It used to be my favorite bar but niw its a disaster. If you are looking for trouble, you can step into this bar. Staffs are really impolite and irresponsible. Again I tell you, if you like to experience danger, go there.
Its also expensive.
You have to wash your clothes after going to that bar, because of smoking there.
Same people are always there to make you trouble.
After telling the manager about the problem, they will answer its usual. It's the way we do here.

Horrible place, me and some friends from abroad entered Cosy expecting an welcoming gay and free atmosphere, sadly we were meet by hostility and was being questioned by the owner, then our lesbian companions was verbally assulted as they did not looked "gay" enough for the "what" 8 people inside and felt so extremely insecure and unsafe they wanted to leave after a less than 10 min stay. Needless to say, we are never coming back, the best thing about Cosy today is the memories and fun parties we had there.

I heard that the owner is new. Doorwoman is super professional. It’s a non smoker club & party vibes/atmosphere inside was it’s plus points. Music was good enough. Cocktails here are expensive but supposed to be tastier in comparison to their prices. So, I think a bottle of beer is far better than their cocktails. Besides it’s much easier to dance with your beer-bottle than cocktail-glass. It would be nice if they also offer happy hour drinks for their customers like many other clubs nearby.
Overall I think this place deserves only 3 stars because it has many things for improvement.
I’m not sure I’ll visit this place again.

We loved the place! Good cozy bar with a nice dance floor and a dj. Friendly people but a bit too long to wait in the wardrobe. Very friendly!

Nice service and concept. Not enough room at all on weekends, but I guess it defines the popularity.

As a 18 year old I would not personally revisit reasoned the average age is 25-40

Pricey drinks but nothing special since it’s located in Denmark.

I absolutely love this bar and I think the bartenders are super friendly. I would give less stars because of the smoking but it’s a general thing in Copenhagen bars. Would love if there was more fans or ventilation for those of us who don’t smoke. The music is always SO GOOD so keep that up.

I gave 5 stars earlier but after the experience from Friday night. 0.0 star is too much to give for Cosy bar now. I was nervous for Corona virus. So I and my 3 friends washed our hands with our overpriced but bad quality gin tonic after toilet visit because their hand wash was broken. I asked a female staff (a rude and superficial lady with bleached hair and black glasses, that hand wash didn’t work. She replied, “I know hand wash is broken but I don’t care why it’s not working. She was so busy to earn money. She looked among customers and asked can I help next?”. A normal staff never replied that way. Very unprofessional rude lady. She needs to buy some good manners from a shopping mall.

Good open minded small club in the famous Studiestræde street where and around most gay nightlife happens in Copenhagen. It has a dance floor and prices are not as high up as in other clubs around the area. There you find a mixed crowd who loves to dance and have fun. Great drinks and atmosphere during the week and weekend nights.
