No hay seguridad de lo que uno entrega para cocinar
1 star this resort has nothing the food is awful and there are little to no amenities. They also overcharge for everything and it is not all inclusive!
Resort was beautiful plenty of things to do. Was there with friends for a wedding weather was beautiful. Rooms were great and my personnel butler Moises Medina was great went above and beyond for any needs we need. Food was ok need better options but everything else great experience.
Who ever had access to my room open my bag and took $88us in my bag. I reported it they come to investigated after all they did not return it. They told me they did a quick investigation they found nothing was removed from my purse. Never go back there i hate people steal from me.... disgusting
But after a the food I was amazed, meet a lot of people kitchen staff was wonderful 👏 the pool was wonderful we had so much fun! Beautiful resort hope I can come back! But they steal my $88in my bag get me all upset. I wish I can give y'all 5 stars cause it was amazing to be there we enjoyed ourselves! But I had a bad experience at the same time I do not like what happened to me there. I'm not stupid to report I lost my money!
to start off, our own butler (Alejandro) was able to cater to all our needs. He was very attentive to everything we needed and was quick to answer any question we had. The resort is one of the best looking I’ve ever been to, really calm and serene. If this is what you’re looking for, then this is the place for you. The food, exceptional. The drinks are outstanding. Make sure you tip your servers, bartenders and especially the entertainment crew. They work super hard to keep the resort running as it should.
First time ever at a resort and what an experience! Our butler Alejandro was awesome and all the staff were so friendly and did an amazing job. The hotel itself looks terrific and the rooms were clean and spacious plus the views were to die for. Not to mention the live shows and entertainment team that did such a great job with all the activities. Would 1000% recommend, and am definitely going back next year!
Great resort, adults only room suites are spacious. The shows were fun and housekeeping kept the room clean every day. Our butler Samuel was helpful with whatever we needed. Everyone was friendly and the Japanese restaurant was amazing. Joselito from the beach entertainment was great and engaging with our group. Super Dario remembered our group and made us laugh. Overall a great experience would visit again.
Recently stayed at Majestic Mirage in Punta Cana and had an incredible experience. Our butler, Jeffry, was exceptionally attentive and friendly. The staff throughout the hotel were welcoming, ensuring our stay was memorable. The food was consistently tasty, and the variety of restaurants offered something for everyone. The entertainment was top-notch, and our room was always spotless. Highly recommend to anyone considering a visit!
Just stayed at this resort with my friends for my bach party. This was my first all-inclusive so it was a big surprise and experience. I would say for the price the resort is very nice and provides a lot for the all-inclusive tag. There are great parties, pools, activities and lots of food to eat. It was also a very nice hotel in terms of the amenities and looks and feel of the resort. The staff was very helpful, engaging and informational.

My biggest gripe with the resort was the food and alcohol, found the food was not the best in terms of taste and presentation. Alcohol just was no the best, but again for the price you pay, you get. If these are the really big priority would recommend somewhere else, otherwise it is a great resort for the party scene and experiences.
I LOVE THIS HOTEL. Cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. From the moment you arrive at the hotel, they treat you as family and welcome you home. I was amazed by the hospitality. The food was great!!! The nightlife is amazing. I loved everything and will be coming back for sure. We went there for our honeymoon and we didn't want to leave.

Cant complain about the staff. But the drinks they serve are far from a good flavor. Huge place without any tyoe of transportation for the guests. And the worse part. They gave me a room that was occupied at the moment we open the door, that was a embarrassing moment. Then when finally get a room the AC was not working at all. No room available and we spend a very bad night.

Actually almost everything was great. Service was excellent, rooms were 4/5, property 5/5. The disappointment was the quality of food 3/5. I would recommend but maybe eat off property. The Jerk chicken was delicious!! Drinks were good but not strong. I really enjoyed myself..

I recently stayed here and was quite disappointed, I am not even sure how this is rated 4/5 stars. I only rated it 3 stars because of the staff.
NEGATIVE:
1. The rooms are very old, dingy, beat up
2. The beach was full of seaweed, didn't go in it once.
3. The pools were VERY dirty, no exaggeration.
4. The 24HR Snack Bar does not have food, only sandwiches and you're lucky if you even get one because people take 5-6 at a time.
5. The bed was very hard and there were bed bugs, I came back with many bites on my legs, went to ED as soon as I came back.
6. There was not much day entertainment.
7. The staff make you walk to the towel service to return your towels before checking out even if you bring them the towel.

POSITIVE:
1. The staff was very accommodating, friendly, kind, pleasant to deal with ASIDES from checking out.
2. Had a lot of different pools to go to despite majority of them being dirty.
3. The water slides were a lot of fun.
4. The Riu parties were fun.
5. The food was mediocre/decent.
6. Entertainment was not too bad at night.

OVERALL, I would not stay at Riu Bambu again. The staff were great. I've stayed at better resorts and AirBnB's in DR. This makes me NOT WANT TO STAY AT ANY RIU's moving forward. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED to say the least.
Not only did they charge me more money for fitting 4 people in one room but they made sure to give me room 1024 which has no working phone, pull out couch doesn’t work is broken, and the toilet keeps leaking water. This is my first day arriving at dreams Macao and so far it is the worst dreams hotel ever and worst place I ever stayed in. poor follow through on requests. I’ve requested multiple times towels since we had to use all the towels for the leaking toilet that flooded the bathroom and 5 hours later and no one came to bring towels and no one came to fix the toilet. I had to go out in pajamas to look for anyone to help me with the couch. I am a “member” of this resorts and despite the thousands of dollars you paid for “member services” there is no one following up and making sure things are done correctly and in a timely manner.

Update review***
The hotel did change my room the next day. Food was good, spa was small but the staff especially “Nicol” were great. Explores club for kids was amazing! The staff were super attentive and fun towards my child. Eventhough it started bad because of the room and poor follow up on request, we ended up enjoying our time and other things made up for the bad things. A lot of pools, entertainment was GREAT!
The first room had a loose toilet seat, electrical switches that didn’t not function, a loose shower head, weak AC, and a strong odor of mold. They addressed the first two issues rather quickly, but not the other issues. We ended up changing rooms on the third not as the Concierge team finally moved us. The second room was perfect.

The hospitality / service was great, however “good food” on the resort was far and few between. There were lots of options to choose from, but the shows and selections of entertainment were weak.

Location was a 3 out of 10. The private transportation felt like extortion every time we wanted to get out and see Punta Cana with the unwarranted pricing from the airport rides from PUJ to visiting downtown from the resort. Natives were pretending to not speak English when trying to play pricing games to use the language barrier to their advantage.

It was not fun.
We brought our whole family down last week for our 40th wedding anniversary. There were 13 of us and we were delighted with this resort. Food was top-notch with lots of great restaurants to enjoy. Our rooms were on the top floor and all had private sky terraces with table, chairs, king size canopy bed and a 6 person hot tub! Our Butler Felix was amazing. He dealt with all our requests promptly and efficiently and couldn't have been more helpful. Evening shows were decent and the drinks were awesome. We often visited the martini bar before going in for dinner. What a treat! None of us had a negative word to say about our trip, we will definitely be coming back!
I stayed at this resort for four days in August 2023, 8/18 - 8/21, I booked My reservation directly with the hotel for a single room with a full sea view and booked trans portion to and from the airport. Transportation from the airport worked out seamlessly. My first room had a garden view which was changed at my request to a full sea view with resistance. My second room was a tad hot. I woke up in the night to discover a pool of water on the floor coming from the shower. I reported both issues in the morning. When I arrived back to my room in the evening the flood was cleaned but the temperature was 28 degrees Celsius 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
My room was changed to a sea view suite. This was nice looking but also hot!! Maintenance came and removed and cleaned the filter which was filthy!!
The next day there was no maid service, I had to request the room to be cleaned, the pillows were old, lumpy, and the mattress was uncomfortable.
My card key stopped working and needed to be reprogrammed 2x.
Food was just ok- breakfast buffet was the best. Steakhouse -disappointing.
Staff -overworked and aggravated.
Liquor - the usual unknown brands in most all inclusive resorts ( I brought my own just got cranberry juice from the bar)
Transfer to the airport -nonexistent, I had to pay 40.00 US dollars to get to the airport and was told that my transfer time was 8:00. Attached Photo that I was instructed to take at the airport indicates assistance 9:00. I was told that was not the pick up and time no additional assistance would be provided.
I did enjoy myself because I traveled with a great group of approximately 60 people. In short, If good accommodations, service, and food isn’t a key factor for you in choosing a hotel than this is it!!

This hotel is set in a beautiful location and the sunrises are amazing if you’re willing to get up early. However, the overall hotel and service/experience is not the best. You will always be ignored at the bars over the locals who sit at the bar all day and drink. The pools are quite dirty and often end up being closed during the day for ‘cleaning’ where they simply just throw a load of chemicals into the pool (which doesn’t clear them up)

There is a good choice of pools and you tend to always be able to get a sun lounger throughout the day.

The food was really good with a choice of specialty restaurant’s on site too.

Mini bar in the room is often not topped up so no drinks in the room.

Some areas of the hotel could do with some updating.

Word of warning the shops on the resort will try to rip you off and make up prices on the spot. Always be prepared to say no and walk away, they try to make it confusing by converting to pesos very quickly on a calculator. I would recommend you take some US dollars with you and be prepared to haggle.
It was a special vacation for the whole family. We brought our kids down (17,21,24) and made it a special family vacation and wanted to have a wedding ceremony to renew our vows after 26 years of marriage with our children to witness it. Everything was amazing , exception, a couple small snafus about the room situation but all settled in the end. The resort planning was easy to work with and made it the most special family vacation to date. We can’t speak highly enough about the butler service…. I don’t know if all the butlers are as great as ours was, but Elias was awesome! Anything we needed he was right there. He made the trip more special and perfect by always having extras sent to the room and we were never left with an empty glass. I’d recommend it. DR is an affordable vacation especially the all inclusive packages. If there is one downfall to the DR in general (not the resort) is that their cuisine is not the best. Although the alcohol is always flowing don’t expect the best gourmet choices. This isn’t the cuisine you’re gonna find on other islands like St. Maarten or Aruba.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Majestic Mirage in Punta Cana, and our experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, our dedicated butler, Bolivar, truly elevated our stay. Bolivar's attention to detail and impeccable service made our vacation unforgettable. He went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. From helping us navigate the resort to securing reservations at the finest restaurants, Bolivar's warm and friendly demeanor made us feel like valued guests. His daily check-ins and proactive updates on events and excursions added an extra layer of excitement to our trip. We would confidently give Bolivar 5 out of 5 stars for his exceptional service.
Overall the resort looked amazing, staff kept up with landscaping and cleanliness around the resort was 4 stars. In addition, the staff were amazing with offering services as my family and I went around. The resort had many activities to do such as, bars, 24/7 sports bar that also served food, nightly shows, and many more. It was super easy to book activities outside of the resort too as they were walking distance. While booking the activities, they were affordable, provided transportation, and were on a timely schedule.

Drinks were always served in tip top shape and we did not have any issues with them. Although the drinks we amazing, the food was not so great. For an all inclusive resort, I would expect some decent foods, but coming from California and trying the foods at the restaurant and buffets it was like eating at a 2 star restaurant. Lastly, another flaw was that all the pools closed at 6.

The room was dated at best. They aren't really set up for families. We only had small twin beds. Aircon was noisy and didn't work well. The pool needs working on, resealing, and wiring sorting. The food was the same day in day-out. And worse of all, it was fly ridden! There were no traps set up anywhere in the main food hall. I had a glass of wine once, and I'm sure it was only driven past a vinyard. I think RIU and travel agents need to visit this hotel! Hopefully, they won't be sick like I and my fiancee were! Sadly, I can not advocate this hotel!.
Beautiful rooms and grounds! Fabulous lazy river and pools. Kind and overall good service with a few events of poor follow through on requests. Excellent bar service. Wonderful spa!
The food was not very good and not good for those with allergies. Water temp varies greatly while showering. The beach was pretty but apparently has a very strong rip tide so there are no watercraft to rent or use. The pools close at 6pm- so weird. I did not like the pushy sales people at their open air booths (one night). Wish I had known that stuff ahead of time.

I stayed here for 7 days and I loved it. There are pros and cons to the resort. The pros are that the resort has a beautiful landscape. There are many palm trees, huge pools to swim in, and the most beautiful beach. I went in the beginning of August and I have to mention that it was HOT. The pool water was also hot. This was a con for me because I felt like I could not cool off. The "party pool" always appeared murky and dirty but that wasn't a problem for me because I just swam somewhere else. There is a slight ant issue. I recommend never leaving drinks out in your room because it will attract ants. I will say that the staff is so kind but there is a language barrier and the one night no one at the steakhouse could tell me if the rolls had nuts which one of our members is very allergic to. I even pulled up the translation and the staff looked confused. Another pro is that I personally loved most of the food. A lot of people complain about it but I really enjoyed it. I had yogurt and pancakes with bacon most mornings and I really looked forward to it! Just a warning, there are no washcloths. This resort is what you make it.
My husband and I went here for 5 days ( Thursday - Tuesday) in May and it was absolutely amazing. If you're looking for a fun, adults only resort where you can party or sit by the pool and just relax then this is the place for you. From beginning to end everything was perfect. The Food, drinks and rooms were all fabulous. Everyone who worked there always had a smile on their face and seemed genuinely happy to help with whatever was needed. The property was spacious enough to not ever feel crowded but not overly big to where you felt you had to walk forever to get anywhere. There were so many pools all of which were large and clean. The beach was excellent, no seaweed and lots of seating right on the beach or further up in the palm trees if you are looking for some shade. Another nice touch was the Waterpark! We went 3 out of the 5 days and each time was more fun then the last. There were no lines and everything was clean and safe. With all the fun we had nothing tops the Riu parties! We went to the pink, neon and jungle party and we enjoyed them all. The parties are a must if you are coming to this property. Lastly we would like to give a big thank you to the sub director Alex! He went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay and we most definitely did. Thank you so much for all you did, we are so appreciative and will definitely be back!

The oceanfront suite was amazing. This place has great rooms and service. The location was beautiful and well kept. We didn't have any problems in any way. I didn't really see any of the shows because I was there to relax mostly. The adult pool was never crowded or loud. The only thing I had to deal with was the people trying to sell stuff on the beach every time I went there, but I knew that going in. The restaurants were great & the buffet was huge! There was something for everyone. The air conditioner worked fine, and I never got sick from the food. Bring lots of repellent and sunblock, and you'll be fine.
My family and I experience poor customer service and racism throughout the trip. I was never asked if I needed anything that includes a drink or flatware, while sitting at a restaurant. It came to a point where we begin to serve ourselves something to drink. When I asked for towels or washcloths, it took them over 12 hours to come to the room. We had to repeatedly call the front desk for face clothes. When we seen housekeeping to ask them directly, they never had face cloths. We had a hole in the ceiling of the shower, picture attached. The rooms smelled like sewer and we had to ask for someone to come clean the toilet room several times. My Apple EarPods were missing out of my bag and I never use them throughout the trip. When we seen housekeeping or staff, we greeted them either in English or Spanish, and was ignored. My mom fainted from the heat in one of the stores and the cashier suck their teeth and the left the store, not asking if we need anything. The other customers were confused and asked where did they go. The cash appeared to be bothered that my mom became ill. We were overlooked and ignored! At one time, I was at a restaurant, placed my things on the table for my kids, to sit down and the server pull the table from underneath us to be used by a different family. My kids and I were waiting for the elevator, and no one was there. Later was followed by a group of people who nearly pushed us aside to get on first. Being at this hotel was a terrible experience! Most of my family had to change rooms to accommodate their family in the room. This poor experience with unacceptable! I will never return to this hotel! Nor will I return to Dominican Republic!
This hotel wasn’t too far from the hotel which was nice. The majority of the employees were really nice. However, I will NEVER stay here again. The rooms aren’t what I am used to. I’ll leave it at that. I’m 23 and had back and neck pain from the beds. They were so hard. They had sheets on the bed that were paper thin. I could tell they were super cheap. Some stains were on the towels and be sheets we received. I can tell they were washed because they didn’t smell bad but there were still stains. The food is the WORST that I have ever had. I’m from Houston so I know what good food taste like and this was not it at all. There was not a single good thing I could say about any of the food. However, one of our excursions came with food and it was a 10/10!!! We also went to a restaurant off the resort called SBG and it was superb!! Now back to the hotel. The alcoholic drinks at the hotel were clearly watered down. I questioned if there was even alcohol in them but I watched the bartenders make the drink and saw them put the alcohol in so I can only assume the bottle was watered down. This was my first all inclusive hotel and it has put a sour taste in my mouth. The DR was beautiful so still visit but I wouldn’t stay at this hotel.

An HONEST review of this resort. Probably deserved a 3.5 rating for many reasons if google would have allowed.

Overall - The hotel is NOT 4 start by US standard - more like 3 to 3.5. Comfortable, clean, and well travelled because of it's value. It is a beautiful all-inclusive TIPPING (more on this later) resort that is not quite kept up to the Riu standard in other destinations and countries. It is a TREMENDOUS VALUE though if you can go and enjoy what if offers and not be pretentious or snobby. This resort met and even exceeded our needs in several areas.

Location - 20-25 from the airport, huge property between palace Punta Cana and the Palace Macao, spacious in the middle of palm and coconut groves, yards from a pool or the beach. The resort was well laid out and we actually enjoyed the less travelled areas of the resort the most as it felt more quaint and friendly.

Service - Front Desk, Luggage Service, Wait Staff, Housekeeping, Bartenders, Tipping

Final Thoughts - The biggest overall issue this resort faces is actually the guests that stay at the resort.
After our recent getaway trip, I plan to share a review with pros and cons to help future visitors. The chefs were attentive to food temperatures during most of our stay, but their diligence waned towards closing time. Rushed food preparation resulted in undercooked dishes. Some staff responses to requests were rude.

However, certain employees were outstanding. We didn't encounter any food poisoning cases but observed guests consuming excessive alcohol without hydrating. Bringing liquid IV is advisable.

VIP bartenders were vigilant, while others prioritized tips over guests' well-being. Liquor choices mainly included local brands, and frozen drinks had an odd taste. Fresh juices were notably absent.

Specialty restaurants were underwhelming, with limited and less authentic menus.

Hotel renovations are planned for April 2025, but some areas showed wear and tear.

VIP rooms had minor imperfections, and AC availability varied throughout the premises.

To avoid language barriers, investing in basic English courses for staff and bilingual signage would be beneficial.

Overall, the hotel offers decent value with friendly staff. It's a good 4-star option for those comfortable with the price range ($150-$200 per night).
Que casa más hermosa!!!! I recommend every to stay here. It is worth the price! It's very private and the views are beautiful! They have a chef, and her food is AMAZING!
Just got back from vacationing at Riu Republica and as much as I wanted to love it, it just wasn’t what we were expecting. Beginning with the whole check-in process, they promote that as soon as you check-in they greet you with a welcome cocktail, instead of a drink, Darling greeted us with attitude with very little to no knowledge on the restaurants or events going on at the resort. When we got to our room, we realized the room itself was underwhelming. There were a lot of ants in the bathroom and around our bed. There was also a big window by the shower that when you turn on the light to the bathroom at night, the whole room lights up. After we showered we both noticed that the towels had a certain smell to it so we called front desk to bring us more towels while we were at dinner. Thankfully they did, but it turns out the there must’ve been something wrong with the plumbing because the water also had a horrible smell to it. Throughout our stay we noticed that the staff was extremely rude. There were times when we were at breakfast or lunch where the staff didn’t even acknowledge us or come up to us to offer us a drink. There were a few times where the bartenders would overlook us standing there and would have to wait until everyone else was serve in order to get a drink. I recall asking one of the bartenders what he was pouring for another guest and his answer was “I don’t know.” It’s not like it was gonna take him a whole process to make the same drink, it was being poured from the bottle and I was just curious to know what it was. I don’t know if any other Latinos have experienced this type of behavior or rudeness at this resort, but I can def say I will never be back to this resort or even recommend it to anyone personally.

I spent 11 nights here, I had the best experience. I went with a large group age ranges between 6 and 40. There was loads for us to do. The staff were friendly. Our rooms were cleaned everyday and stocked up with fresh drinks. All inclusive includes rating in five restaurants, access to the riu pool party, free with drinks. The beach is amazing.
All the trips were brilliant 👏. It was such a good experience I will be returning in two years time. I never go to the same place twice.
Dirty EVERYWHERE, the cleanest bathroom in the whole place is the one on the lobby, cleaner than the one in my room. Food is disgusting, food is not labeled you don’t know what you’re eating, drinks machine rarely ever worked. Alcoholic drinks are disgusting, beach is about a 8min walk. Beach is dirty trash and full of seaweed, but that is pretty common in DR so no fault to Resort. Pool is full of sand. Rooms are outdated. AC is not cool, but manageable. Staff is nice and friendly.

Solo stay in May, 14 days. Wonderful experience, nothing to complain about. A huge variety of food, clean pools, perfect room cleaning, great disco and of course fabulous beach. No sargassum at all during my 14-day stay. Very good animation team!!!!
A/C worked perfectly, bed was comfortable, blankets available if needed, mini-bar was refilled daily.
I really appreciated the fact that one could use an app to request something, no need to walk to the reception.
Personnel was very welcoming. I didn't tip (except for cleaning) but I was served anyway.
I am definitely coming back next year.

Staff are kind and helpful. They’ve made calls to the reception for me to resolve an issue my family members. Roaches were found at the kitchen area, and main road leading to RIU Naiboa. This hotel is great for families with children only.

We decided to visit Punta Cana at the last minute. This was the only Riu with availability. It's old, but the common areas have been well maintained. The staff is helpful and friendly.

The A/C didn't work in the room, so sleeping hot at night sucked. The front desk kept saying they would send someone. Only to admit on the last night that it was a known issue, and there wasn't anything they could do about it.

The beds are not comfortable either. They're hard and are just two small beds pushed together. Any small movements and they slide apart. This place really needs a complete renovation.

Riu Bambu was very affordable. The location was great. We enjoyed the slides and the steakhouse the most on the property. Overall, I didn't have a horrible experience. It was not the greatest. I wouldn't visit this particular resort again.

We’ve been to this hotel two times both for two weeks trip. We were so fortunate to upgraded to the waterfront view high floor rooms in each of the trip. The buffet restaurant has everything offers which it’s our favorite because it doesn’t take time to wait and we have the freedom of picking anything we like. We tried the theme restaurants too - the Indian was great with many delicious dishes. Not a fan of the Japanese restaurant because lack of sashimi or fresh fishes. I love the fruit and we had lamp chops as well as other amazing dishes. The beach is so nice, wide sand beach with smooth sand. If you walk to the left to over Hard Rock Cafe the beach is even wider. So beautiful! The pools are nice. The only thing is it often have people stay yelling at 2-3am in the morning. Maybe the time was young people also traveling too. The security people usually very helpful to help keeping the place quiet.
Beautiful place if you're looking to enjoy nature, peace and tranquility.

Our first interaction at check in was great ! Front desk staff was amazing especially ABEL. He is the only good thing about the hotel. He was always there to help and answer any questions as well as recommend the best restaurant and tours.
The hotel is very disappointing, rooms are outdated, bed is worn, filling was falling out of pillows: let’s not talk about the food,Very awful , had pizza and fruits for the whole week. No real entertainment In the days
Honestly don’t waste your money .
Sensacional, mucho espacio. Variedad de ambientes. Excelente chef. Buenisimas atenciones.
Amazing holiday experience, from food to location to the quality of rooms and outstanding customer care. A big special shout out and thank you to Anthony from the room service team for going above and beyond to make sure our needs are catered to and our room is fully stocked at all times. Another big thanks to Hector from the la bamba pool bar, excellent service! Can't wait to be back for a third time!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 10 days. Hotel in our experience was fairly hygienic and looked after. However certain staff members were quite rude, our room had problems with the toilet and shower was cold or scorching hot. Pool is nice despite it being just the one pool with not many beds around. There is an inclusive beach bar which serves food and drinks which is ideal for beach days. We both got very bored of the food and wasn’t impressed. Also not that it is the hotels fault but this location there is no restaurants that aren’t owned by hotels it may seem you can eat at other riu hotels but we both got turned away and told we could only eat and drink at naiboa. Downtown Punta cana is amazing very nice restaurants and pubs/clubs. 20 minute taxi ride from the hotel. Don’t let what hotel staff and other people say about not leaving the resort put you off. Amazing country with a lot of friendly locals

Super grande para toda una familia tiene muchas cosas para entrenarse, billar, piscina, jacuzzi, entre otras cosas
I had the pleasure of staying at Dreams Macao Beach, Punta Cana, last July with my family, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations, leaving us with cherished memories.

Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities we could ask for. The resort’s commitment to cleanliness and maintaining a high standard of hygiene was evident throughout our stay, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment.

One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service provided by Juan. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive care throughout our stay, he went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable experience. His professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to assist with any request made us feel like valued guests. I highly recommend Dreams Macao Beach, Punta Cana, for a blissful and rejuvenating vacation.
We just came back from DR. Riu Palace has been amazing! I was very pleased with service! Super friendly staff that is always there when you need. Resort was clean, safe and pretty modern. Great fresh food daily! Their coffee at the lobby was outstanding. The only thing that we found uncomfortable is that pool was hot. But we aren't pool people, so did not care much. The beach however was Amazing! Clear water, clean, huge, white sand beach! There were enough chairs to accommodate people and no morning "rush" to get yourself a spot at the beach. We are surely coming back!

American family vacation review:
1. The place is extremely dated, and most of the photos on the website do not accurately depict the current state of the hotel.
2. BED BUGS!!!! We woke up with bed bug bites after the first night sleeping there. I ripped off all of the sheets, and saw that the mattresses were nasty! Stained and smelly! You could see the bug dirt in the seams.
3. The bed sheets were stained and smelled like mildew. The bath and pool towels smelled gross, dirty, etc. The AC ran so loud it kept you up all night.
4. I would not recommend this hotel if you do not speak Spanish. The front desk people spoke some English, but all of the staff spoke Spanish, so it was difficult to communicate with them. All of the guests also spoke Spanish as well, so we were not able to talk to/have conversations with other people staying there.
5. The food is questionable. We didn't know what 80% of the items in the buffet were, and nothing was labeled. Again, when we asked, no one understood us, so we couldn't find out what anything was. Not food allergy friendly. I have Celiac disease, so I'm gluten free. Trying to communicate & explain that was a nightmare. No one understood what I was asking or knew what I was talking about. Needless to say I got sick after the first meal even though I ate things that looked plain. After that I stuck to raw veggies, fruit, white rice, and plain French fries for the entire trip. The fruit and veg wasn't even that great, everything was hard and tasteless, except for the mangos and bananas.
6. The bar didn't open until 6pm. Why???? I never ended up going. They did have a small bar by the pool but the drinks all came from those frozen slushie machines. They were barely frozen and and had no taste. The wine they served (white & rose) was room temperature. The alcohol was terrible.
5. The first night we were there the power went out. Two days later the plumbing stopped working in the bathroom. Both issues were fixed timely.
6. There was a water park, but it was shut down for a few days and also closed at 5pm.
7. My son was very bored. I was very bored. There is nothing to do there, and you can only go into the pool so many times.
8. I asked the front desk about excursions like zip lining, jet skis, etc. and was told there wasn't anything like that.
9. I saw signs for a night party and casino, but since it was a family vacation, we did not go there. I believe the sign said 18 & over anyway.
10. The only positive was the staff was extremely nice.

Overall, I would NOT recommend - Bed bugs, smelly, dirty, food is nasty, nothing to do.
I arrived at Riu Palace Bavaro last Tuesday late afternoon after many hours on the plane. First impression...WOW..The lobby was so beautiful, just no A/C working. My First 30 min at the reception desk dealing with Manager Ramon and Rafael when I was trying to check in and go eat something and take a shower that 30 min was the worse experience I ever had in any of the hotels...ever. I felt that I was not welcome there .I spent almost an hour in the lobby waiting for someone to help me—very poor customer service skills, especially from the manager, who should be an example. The only friendly person I dealt with from reception was Christian. Look for him when you are ready to check in. Otherwise, dealing with Ramon, you will have the same feelings as I did, that you will spend the night on the street in Bavaro instead of enjoying your vacation.
Food- average...Drinks at the pool bar are not so good. Wait for the bartender Hector at the Lobby bar. He will make the best old fashion you ever have
For any issues in your room, Maintenance responds very quickly. Of course, if the reception desk notifies them about your issue asap.
I think there are many other resorts in the area that can consider your attention before you will book your vacation at the Riu Palace.
I definitely won't come back to Riu Palace in the future

I loved my stay at the Riu Republica! Definitely got a lot of value for the price of this stay. I would recommend this for a quick price worthy vacation. Food is great at the restaurants, not as much at the buffet style. Room was lovely and had a balcony that we enjoyed to relax. Room was also quiet and very well kept. I felt very safe at this resort as well. Bar service was great, so was service getting food, housekeeping etc. The staff here could not be better! They deserve everything! I will mention however bring cash if you plan to tip as there is not a convenient ATM inside the hotel. There is one a short walk down the street but it only gives pesos. The resort here definitely caters to a younger partying crowd as well. That was not an issue for me though. However I would say a lot of the crowd tends to leave trash etc. The staff does such a wonderful job cleaning up after these people though however they should not have too! Live entertainment was great and there are so many options for things to do! If you stay here you will not be bored!
My wife, her 3 best friends and myself stayed at the Riu Palace Bavaro last week. It's our first international trip and experience staying in an all inclusive. Food was above and beyond excellent, beach was gorgeous and never had seaweed. The service from staff was top notch and never felt awkward interactions.

Will definitely come back and do this again.

I’m curious about who’s writing these reviews, or the 5 stars without comment. Property is bad, I’m writing while in my hotel room. Towels smell bad, beds are uncomfortable, no food after hours unless you pay for some fries. We asked for a king sized bed and they gave us double.. when we finally changed rooms the roof was Leaking heavily so we had to go back to the first room.. and all they did was push the two beds together.. which would be fine if one wasn’t higher than the other. None of the sockets work, you have to jiggle or hold at a certain angle to get power. Front desk person was just bad, he booked us in without arm bands, when we went for breakfast the next morning we realized everyone had one and had to go through the process again. The food , o lord, I just stuck to soup. I’m actually happy I’m checking out soon. Worst hotel experience.
Hotel is tired & needs a remodel badly. We could see daylight around the door to our room. AC in our room was fine. Others in our party had issues. Food was poor and restaurants were not open due to mechanical issues. The other Riu locations would not except reservations from large groups even though it is advertised you can use any one of the nearby Riu resorts. Staff was friendly & helpful. Bartenders at the pool were great. Grounds and pools were beautiful. It could be a lovely resort with a good remodel.
We don’t usually review places but we feel the need to in this case.
We enjoyed most everything . The service and staff was very good. The food was pretty good. The maintenance was not so good. We had 10 separate things that needed attention in our room. From drapes not closing to a toilet seat that was so loose it moved an inch every time you sat on it. The biggest issue was the electrical. The receptacle in the bathroom (for the hair dryer) didn’t work half the time . I had to find the panel box and reset a breaker numerous times because maintenance was almost non existent. The TV in our mothers room was never fixed. We tried to have them fix it or get her a new one for 5 days. She is 84 and just wanted to watch TV at night for a little while. For the money we/she paid they should fix things. Disappointed with that.

Their were times no water running water in the rooms! Same food every day on the buffet .So many kids around. Where bar is located is not in the pool walk a ways to the bar. The reception area very nice. Waiters
Very nice. Won't be back again to this hotel
The rooms definitely need updates. Some of the plugs did not work and I came with a female friend and we had to leave when the other showered. You need doors on the showers. Other then that the vacation was wonderful
Everyone rating this really low must be expecting a trump hotel and gordon Ramsay level food. The buffet was amazing, truly something for everybody with so many options I couldn’t help but gawk at everything. All on site restaurants were amazing and really convenient since you didn’t need a reservation. We went to the Japanese restaurant several times it was very consistent. Rooms were a bit outdated however they are starting renovations now. Still were pretty nice overall. The pools were awesome same with the beach. All staff is friendly but many don’t know much English which is perfectly understandable. I may suggest to learn a little Spanish but really it’s not needed before you go. The drinks were all great and the Riu party was a blast. I would for sure go back.
Beautiful!!! Elegant! And soooo worth it!

Chef was bomb, and Victor was a delight!
The resort itself is definitely 5 stars, beautiful and clean beach with 3 pools and plenty of bars/restaurants serving amazing food, all for free if you got all-inclusive.

However the accommodation is dirty, rusty and it's not uncommon for Mosquitoes and Millipedes to find their way in despite all windows and doors being shut.
Also the air-con is constantly stuck on freezing and you can't switch it off.
Also the 2 TVs in our room have no reception, bring your own entertainment.
(Deluxe room as well)

Currently staying here. My air conditioner not working, light in bathroom works intermittently, sink doesn’t drain and had dirty blanket on bed. Trying to get a better room but doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon. We were given another room with 2 twin beds although we paid for a king. We had to pack up at 1am and the staff was unapologetic and unhelpful. This is the worst hotel I’ve stayed at. PLEASE read reviews they aren’t lying.
I just left the resort Monday. The first day that we arrived at the resort, we saw a baby roach in the room. We complained and was given the key to another room to look at but saw one in there also. We decided to just stay in our room and keep our things in our bags instead of unpacking. There was a leak from the ceiling which leaked the whole time we were at the resort. The leak made noise. We complained but they never fixed it. This caused a puddle of water to remain on the floor through our whole stay. For some reason every time we went to eat at a buffet, the staff never waited on us, we were never asked what we wanted to drink. We had to stop them to
get a drink. We went to the Riu Bavaro and we had a total different experience. Please do not go to the casino, we walked in and was offered $10 in chips to play a game. Come to find out after losing a lot of money, the game was a scam. My last complaint is that we both have bed bug bites all over us! Needless to say, we will not be returning to this resort. I am not going to say the whole trip was awful… but I do have quite a few complaints.

Very awesome experience. It was our first time in rep.domicana and we were little bur scared because of some bad comments about this hotel. But everything turnt great. The room was big and clean. The food was very delicious and u had so many options. The whole staff was just great. They were all so nice, kind and helpful. They would solve any issue (for example if u need something or u can leave your keys when going to the parties)
The cleaning stuff was very mindful.
Also the animation team (aury and alexkis) were so funny and entertaining.
The Partys were awesome.
I only wanna point out again that the whole staff was great and made our day by their good and positive mood

So happy we stayed here.
Wish u all the best.
Omg found this last minute and I love it. Great security. Tourist / private street. Comfortable beds. Balcony and lots of Resrurant. I booked it last minute at 9pm. I would recommend to solo backpackers or chill couples. The beach feels like you’re in a resort. Def a lot of tourist. The beach is calm and sand is great. If you want turn up beach then Sousa is for you
Hermoso lugar, Increible vista, muy completa y espaciosa. La climatizacion de la piscina fue un boom.... Excelente
The hotel itself is up to date, modern and cleanly. The staff were always available and attentive. The only thing I did not like was the lack of atmosphere. When I went (last week of August 2022) there was barely any other people at the hotel, which is fine , but it was kind of boring. You definitely will venture outside of the hotel (which is just filled with resultants).
This hotel will bring more trash and cabarete will no longer be a small quaint town.
The rooms are nice and the service was great. It was a bit expensive for what they really offer, in my opinion. I will probably stay at a different place next time I go there. My other issue was with them closing the pool so early at 7 pm. I didn't get to enjoy it because during the day we were exploring other places or were at the beach and by the time we were back it was already close. Usually, most places close their pools by 10 pm.

Mi estadía mientras tuve en la Villa Eli, fue muy satisfactoria y me gustó mucho su servicio, atención y buena administración me gustaría volver a esa hermosa Villa.
In February 2022, this was the only hotel that had a single room available. Jennifer at the front desk was super helpful in making sure I was comfortable. The location is ideal, pretty much in the heart of Cabarete, right on the beach. The shops around the hotel are very quaint.
Super!! Nice people beautiful street, love the room!!
Friendly staff was readily available and helpful in all manner of questions or issues. Grounds well kept, modern amenities, and wi-fi. Lots of security personnel, not that it’s in a rough area anyway, but certainly nice to have. The local people are very friendly and helpful. Some are looking for work which I can respect. So if they want to carry my groceries several blocks then they indeed deserve a tip. The restaurants within the resort are good and cater to staying guests. If you want to try some of the local restaurants nearby, they are also good. Get recommendations from staff or locals for the best places. You get more bang for your buck here than you would at resorts on other islands. I would definitely be happy to return. Also generally speaking, knowing Spanish on the island helps but by no means is necessary.
Great place! Very appealing. Love bar by the pool. This is not all inclusive yet but in progress. Beach with fine sand and warm.
Not warranty reservations. They are allowed that club's members make reservations. the my was made by name Oleksiy. I'm made my reservations in January, in April 10 days before to my check in, my reservations was canceled, before that I call to the property to confirm and they told me all is ok. They not warranty the reservations. Bad service
One of my favorite places to stay in the dominican republic. Clean and modern apartments on the beach. Great for families.
Promises to be five star all the way ..this will transform cabarete ..
This place is gorgeous. It's not as big as Puerto Plata but that's okay, to the small venue makes for an intimate and cozy setting. Everything is within walkable distance as far as beach, restaurants, pools and told rooms. The staff are super hospitable. The only thing that you might not like is the tour for membership. Give yourself at least an hour to hear there pitches.
We were invited by a hotel staff named Ana on the street to get a free breakfast because they are promoting the new branch in Cabarete. We spent in the next day an hour visiting the hotel rooms and hearing positive aspect of a membership. The tour was unfortunately guieded by an unfriendly and unprofessional Guide.

At the end they told us, we could have the breakfast just on one condition: we have to sign the membership contract!!

We found the people and their business policy very dishonest and we do not recommend this hotel to the future guests.
Perfekte Lage, sehr schöne und saubere Zimmer und vor allem auch eine sehr freundliches Personal!
The good:
Located right on the beach and set on the most attractive alley in Cabarete. You can hear the waves at all times and sometimes the wind in the palm trees.
The beach is the best I've seen in my travels, and the hotel will also pay for two beach chairs for you daily.
The rooms are large as well as the bathrooms.
The staff are great and will clean daily, around noon. They even do any dishes you had left out to soak or had missed, embarrassingly.
Located next to everything nice to do in Cabarete. And all at a reasonable price.

The Bad:
Hot water is a gamble.
The A/C is fine, but below par.
The kitchen is lacking in cooking tools, but you'll be crafty.
If you head out to the street, get ready to be pestered by everyone trying to sell everything. Not the hotel's fault, but you'll have to deal with it.
When booking, the hotel will ask you to pay in cash. Remember this, or the price goes up.

The Ugly:
The west based rooms will be fine, but the north east rooms face out over a restaurant/club. Get ready to hear that party every night until 3am. Even if you ask for a quiet room, you can still get one of these.
One night at midnight I couldn't sleep due to the music, so decided to check it out. I couldn't get out of the alley which the hotel is located on because of a locked gate. I couldn't find anyone to let me out, and still don't know if anyone would have been able to let me back in. This is a great safety thing, but I was happy to find out I was trapped in my hotel instead of trapped out. Heads up, because this wasn't explained to me on my arrival.

Result:
If you're given a noisy room, ask for a change because nothing else can take away from the benefits of this hotel.
Very nice place to stay when in Cabarete. I've stayed at a few other places before, and this is the best so far. I had a small kitchen, with a fridge and was able to prepare food easily. It's less than 100 meters to the beach also.

I'd highly recommend this place, and when I come back, there's a good chance I'll stay here again. This is my new favorite place to stay while in Cabarete.
