Right in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Barcelona you'll find a great restaurant for the foodies who look for Japanese tasty sushi options. Excellent variety in their menu and very good service. You'd better book a table in advance. As for me, I'll go back soon.
Sincerely it doesn’t deserve a 4.2, this restaurant is a 5. The quality of the salmon and tuna is spectacular. Will be back!
Less is more. Atmosphere and location is great and the personnel smiley and available. We took one menù por 2 personas (30€), spring rolls and 2 postres: Moji te verde and mousse white chocolate. Everything amazing!

Was craving for some Japanese food while traveling in Spain. I would say the quality of the raw fish was okay, acceptable considering its location. But the sashimi lacked the sweetness of high quality raw fish. The rolls were good. Good CP though.

Been here twice already because they do TEMPURA properly. Like real Japanese tempura. I would say this is the BEST tempura available in barcelona
Quality of the fish is very good. Unfortunately most of the sushi rolls have crab fish in them. So the selection of sushis was not so nice. Service was ok but didn’t seem to be familiar around wine. But again… fish quality couldn’t be better.

Great place to break away from the Pinxtos. The gyoza and the Tempura veggies are brilliant. The Sushi is freshly made so no old rice. 😋
I'd rather put 1 star, so their score lowers down and less people go there, BUT, being honest, is one of the best sushi I ate in Barcelona specially for that price

Edamame tasted old (how is that possible?) & ramen was ok but not amazing. What really irked me was charging double for the bottle of saki vs the list cost, and - get this - a 31% gratituity!!!! No wonder they’re not very busy…..
La atención pésima, absoluta desgana y 0 educación. El sushi normalito, pero me he encontrado un pelo dentro de una pieza. No tiene palillos, pero sí tenedores, muy agradable comerme un maki con tenedor. No vuelvo.
Sushi is well prepared, good quantities too, so left with full bellies! Staff was friendly, though didn't speak English very well, but I think that's common in Spain.
While I didn’t mind having to stand at the entrance for several minutes before being seated, I did struggled with the menu.. rather overwhelming. And while creativity and diversity are good in a menu, here is more a confusing mix and match. The sushi I ordered where rather classic and still no flavour. The veggie dumplings on the other side were spectacular. In summary, it seems almost they are trying too hard to be cool and different but the quality is not there

I ordered (vegan) vegetable gyoza. After eating 1 gyoza, I already tasted that there was some kind of meaty substance in the gyoza. So I opened a second one, and found a lot of chicken in the gyoza.
I told the staff, but all of them told me that it was mushroom, when it clearly wasn’t.
Also the sushi was not great, mediocre rice.

Always a great experience. Highly recommend the lunch menu, 15€ (July 2023) and you get a starters with two main courses and dessert. The quality of the sushi is really good, and the lunch menu is filling. I recommend to come here before 13:30h as it gets packed and they don’t accept reservations…
Great sushi bar in San Sebastian. The staff were lovely and the food delicious. We sat outside so we could have the buzz of the street, It is only a small place with minimal outside seating and only a few tables inside - yet has a lovely atmosphere and well worth a try
A bit different from the Japanese ramen I've tried but the food is good and decent. Loved the wakame salad as always. The pickled bamboo shoots (most likely) have a strong taste and it affected the taste of ramen soup. But it's good in general.
The food was okay but the service was really terrible. The waiter was really rude and disrespectful. I do not recommended. From the time we started ordering we wanted to leave the restaurant as soon as possible as the waiter was unwelcoming.

Ordered the menu of the day. The salad was a good portion, the california roll was 8 pieces!, and the vegetable tempura was very plentiful! All very delightful!
The only thing that wasn’t good wasn’t good was the green tea cake. It was so dry and would probably taste better with some condensed milk or ice cream.
Aside from the dessert, everything was great and for a good price! Service was excellent as well!

It’s been my go-to fresh and clean sushi fix the last few months. They’re consistent and the hot dishes are quite nice too. Happy to be a new loyalist.

Great, cosy place with a friendly host. The atmosphere has that "feels like home" vibe, and it was one of the places where we didn't feel like tourists. Both food and drinks were spot on! Keep it up!
If you love the flavours of Japan, you must visit Kibuka, literally my favourite sushi place in Barcelona! I will not get tired of coming here! Specially with our favourite waitress in town Aina, she is the top on service with always a great smile and efficiency! As recommendation, even if it sounds weird to say, their fish and chips - uramaki, is superb, don’t hesitate on that one!

Really amazing experience! We ordered the special set for a lot of good quality food. All the dishes were beautiful and tasty, and the waiter and waitress were lovely. Would highly recommend and visit again.
The food was rather good but the service was very slow and the waiters were not all that pleasant(maybe because they were stressed?) - we waited more than 30 min before we got the first dish. We sat near the bar and saw the chef put out the sushi and the waiters took forever to bring it to the table. Maybe it was just exceptionally busy, but still it spoiled our experience.

Well, this was by far the best sushi either of us have ever had. We tried eating some sushi when we go back to America and it's just not the same anymore. I think this was really really fresh fish, and the rolls were prepared with care right in front of us.
This is a small establishment, and you place your order at the bar and they bring it to you at your table. They recommended a sake which was smooth and tasty. They were very patient and friendly, bearing with my rudimentary Spanish. We really loved the tempura special roll - only the shrimp inside the roll was battered and fried, not the whole roll.
We spent 75 euros on sake, beer, edamame, and a selection of rolls. Maybe a little pricey, but it was so good

Compared to most Sushi places in Barcelona, Kibuka is places itself price-wise on the higher end. It’s not the most expensive, but also definitely not the cheapest. But is it worth it? Uff, absolutely! These guys and girls don’t disappoint. Food, service, ambience, decoration, just overall a great experience.

What to say ? It was an all star performance, waiter was perfectly attentive and kind, wait was not even a thing, sushi’s were kinda magic, we didn’t pay much for having our stomach ready to explode, I recommend 100% it was the second best restaurant of sushi I’d been in my entire life thanks for that Toyo
Nos llamó la atención el stand y vimos que tenían ofertas bastante buenas. Decidimos coger una bandeja de 40 piezas de sushi variado más o menos por 30 euros. Además, el chico nos regaló una cajita de 4 piezas más. Nos llamó mucho la atención que tengan diferentes salsas a la venta, nosotros cogimos la mayonesa de shiracha y está muy buena, un auténtico vicio. También, encontraréis una zona de entrantes orientales típicos en cajitas pequeñas. En cuanto a la calidad, no es uno de los mejores shushis que hemos probado, pero como una opción de shushis de comida rápida para salir de un apuro o satisfacer un antojo, está bien, pues el precio es económico y aunque las piezas sean pequeñas, con tal cantidad te quedas bien.

Though it is a bit price and not all you can eat. It is one of the best sushi places I went to in Spain. One of the best soft shell crab (spider) roll I ever had. I am so glad that I was able to come here and I would highly recommend it.

Great choice if you are in Donostia / San Sebastian craving for a good asian / japanese food. We were a party of four and had a bottle of Txakoli (white wine from Getaria) along with 4 desserts. Shoutout to the chef because the food was amazing. Bill was ok. It’s not cheap but is worth it 100%. The service was great and really fast too.
Many reviews mention that it’s Chinese and not Japanese. Regardless the food quality and taste is above average. The raw salmon is so yummy and the cooked food is also good. Reasonably priced overall.
Just avoid this place. Service is mediocre, food takes ages and not very nice. They Will add VAT to the published prices. Cannot understand why the rating was so high.
My kids wanted ramen and this place helped out with it! Maybe they are not as great as authentic places but pretty good, I'd say between 4 and 4.5 for food and 3.5 for quality of service. Would recommend if you want edamame, tempura, fresh sushi and ramen.

Beware this is a Chinees restaurant pretending to be Japanees. Several ingredients where of questionable freshness. We had the second course being put on the table before we finished the first course soup. Dessert was nearly thrown on our table. No idea what the rush was for, the place was ¼ full. The restaurant was cold inside, up to the point where we had to put on extra cloth. That night, both me & my partner had upset stomages, our guess was, it was the squid.

We come here every time we visit Barcelona and are never disappointed. Due to covid they are currently not doing the all you can eat buffet but a set menu for €12.95 which includes a beer or wine. The quality and variety it great and we always leave extremely full. Would highly recommend

Good food at reasonable prices. Ambience and services are good as well. Menu of the day is affordable and very tasty. Starter with 3 course and a dessert. Each plate is good portion for one person. Not many vegetarian options but they were willing to adjust for some of the dishes.

Not authentic Japanese but the taste and the presentation are all good. 3.5 stars. I found their not having udon but only yakisoba a bit disappointing. A bit too expensive when we had 30% off but still paid almost €50 for 3 plates. This money could have spent in another more authentic good place! I suppose this place is nice for groups of 3-5 people to share food

Excellent japanese food. Sushi is very good (almost as much as Sushi Donosti, not far from here) but they also have a wide choice of excellent japanese food. Been twice and I have always had an excellent meal. Ample space inside.
Food is served very quick and hot! My favourite sushi’s are Fukuoka & kokoro Kai and definitely tori no karage . Have been here for more than 20 times till now. My go to sushi place in Barcelona. I liked the way how they cared about our comfort and taste. Chef Manroka really listens to how you like it and tailor makes it as per your taste. There is an offer on fork app and you can get 30% discount on the meal

Tasty food, fast service
Of all the places we ate in 3 months, this has got to be the worse. We ordered udon but got linguini noodles; for ramen, we got a kind of wonton egg noodle. It was super pricey for a half bowl portion and so salty that we could not swallow the broth. We purchased Nonshim instant noodle elsewhere and honesty, it was better than this place. It will cost you €3.5 for a bowl of miso soup. Major rip off! Will never return. There are plenty of better options nearby. Save your money. Stay away from this place. There is nothing authentic here.
Nice Japanese restaurant - good choice of sushi/sashimi and other japanese (and a few asian) dishes. The ambiente is nice albeit a bit minimalistic. We wrongly assumed that with the sea food teppanyaki, there would be some rice served but that was not the case which was a pity.
Wonderful blend of different Japanese dished, cozy ambiente and price. Amazing menu del dia on the weekend and other options, served by friendly staff.

Food was good, and exactly as advertised. Service was terribly slow, though, and we were waiting almost an hour for a couple sushi rolls and some rice. I also asked for a cafe latte and it took about 45 minutes, meaning it would be cold by the time the food was ready, nevermind the wait.

Popped in for a meal and n a quiet Thursday Evening. Great service, very friendly lady serving. Food was excellent best we have had for a long while. Highly recommended.

Très joli restaurant japonais à la décoration raffinée (bois clair, tapisserie noire, cailloux blancs...) Le poisson est très frais, bien cuisiné et joliment agencé dans l'assiette. On peut y commander des poissons à la vapeur pour les amateurs de "light". Les desserts sont trop sucrés à mon goût. Le service attentif. A conseiller pour passer un bon moment zen pas trop loin de la baie de San Sebastián.
