Great place by not ideal place to visit during winter as the bridge and roads to the waterfall can be slippery
Great, but dont visit with small children (dangerous).
Amazing rapid fall from Vantaa river into the stream pool. Easy access with either own car or public transport. In combination there are several museums in the same area. Some buildings of historical significance also stand firm and seems to tell their own stories of past grandeur.

Kivinokka Nature Trail is just 300 m long, but it has its charm. It is wheel-chair accessible. Information along the trail is also adapted for vision disabled people, as it has all info in Braille alphabet. The bird watching platform at the end of the trail features splendid views. If you want, you can easily extend your walk into surrounding old forest.

Beautiful place for a walk with clearly marked and maintained paths and boardwalks. There are various birdwatching points along the boardwalk. There were a lot of mosquitoes when we visited in August and we got bitten quite bad - trousers/long sleeves and bug repellent recommended!

Lintulavalla hyvä istuskella penkeillä ja nauttia vaikka retkieväitä.

Gorgeous nature reserve just outside of Helsinki, quiet and peaceful in winter
Nice park close to the city. Good for fishing and escaping the city life. Lots of cute little ducks swimming in the river. There are benches and rubbish bins there as well

Suurempi oli ehkä 1,5m halkaisijaltaan. Metsäpolun vieressä rinteessä, helpot löytää.
Sheep are very friendly and inquisitive. Although it may be goats. My dog made friends with the inhabitants of the island and now misses them. The island offers a breathtaking view of the new district of Helsinki. This is great!

Recently visited the area for the first time ever. Even in winter conditions, the paths were relatively easy to walk and one could find useful information on various sights and species. However, I'd suggest adding a few signs to point the way to the giant's kettles (pictured below) since there were none and we had to search for directions on the web.

Beautiful place to visit in any season. You can take long walks,or go fishing or see birds or picnic there. There are also multiple food trucks there or you can go to restaurant near the stream.
Nice view. Take a few beers with you and watch the sunset. Works well at summertime but also at the wintertime...
Powerful waterfall located in the charming place just next to Technology's museum. The best season to visit is definitely a summer time.
Nature friendly place to hangout with a beer /coffee, for a good walk, or bird watching. There is beautiful hiking trail to sea side which takes around 20-25min. There's small burger/coffee shops near the bridge to grab a quick bite. I will recommend it as a place to spend on a relaxing weekend

Pretty place, almost feels like being in completely different place than in Helsinki. Also a short distance away from public transport, which is great. The causeway was in a bit worse shape than expected, so not a great place if you are not wearing waterproof footwear. At least at the time of typing this. Still recommended.

Naturally beautiful and calm place to visit. Convient for a picnic in summer, photoshoot, fishing or just to relax. Bus no. 71, 78 and 55 are easily accessible from the central railway station.

Ohan se nyt upeaa, että meillä näinkin upea luontoalue muutaman kilsan päässä keskustasta, opasteita vois vähän päivittää. Törmäsin ma jättiin näillä maastoilla, joka askeleella maa valitti ja kimpoili niin, että puista piti pitää kiinni tällainen tavan kokoinen pysyäkseen pystyssä. Pyysi tulta paperossiinsa ja tiedusteli pölkkybaaria. Osoitin hälle kaksi tietämääni ja jätti tömisteli matkoihinsa. Niin että opasteet kun ois..kohta kuului loiskahdus Kun jätti tippui pornaistenniemen Ja hakalanniemen väliseen kapeikko-ojaan, vaikkei kahta metriä uintimatkaa Ja sinne jäi. Mistä lie kapeikkoja muodostunut viikinmäeltä rumpu johtaa ojaan, sieltä lahdelle . Vesijättömaahan tuo On soista ja räteistä toiset tykkää toiset ei niinkään.
A hidden gem in the capital city, opposite to Kalasatama, and close to Herttoniemi. A wide and green area, where you can pick berries in summer or mushrooms in autumn. Nice trails to walk through the trees

I had never heard about this lovely place. This is absolutely a piece of Helsinki you should visit! Calm and quiet surrounding for a walk. This place should be promoted more!
