The most beautiful opera house I've ever seen. The entry way and theater are spectacular. Don't miss the ceiling in the theater. One of the rooms was similar to the hall of mirrors at Versaille. We bought our tickets the day before online and had no problems finding a time.

There are no words to describe the opulence of this building. Just a lovely place. What a history and what an architecture. Magical experience. It’s a great place to check out that’s a little taste of the beautiful and ornate French architecture without having to leave the main part of the city and go out. Definitely would put this place on the must visit list.

This iconic opera house is a must-see when visiting Paris. Its ornamental architecture and grandeur are breathtaking, with a gleaming interior that will leave you in awe. Its monumental size and beauty are a testament to the city's cultural history. A must-see for any traveler!
But language is a barrier here, very few staff members understand or speak English

Saw the Nutcracker over the holidays. Nice inside, comfortable seating and rows are nicely elevated making easy sight to the stage. Located convenient to the metro and lots dining for dinner before the show.

If you're taking your significant other to the Bastille Opera, and it happens to be her first, don't make that opera be Tristan und Isolde. It's a 3-part opera performed in German with French subtitles, broken into three 1.5-hour segments with a 30 minute break in between each part, for a total of six intense hours of concentration.

Do be amazed when the Bill Viola cinematic backdrops are as stunning as you expect them to be, and appreciate the fact that you're enjoying the best that Parisian culture has to offer. Just, pick an easier starter opera, like The Magic Flute or something.
open the door!! Let me see Furina!!!
I attended the Casse Noisette ballet in 26/12/23. It was a magical moment in my life. Miss Sae Eun Park and Mr Germain Louvet had the perfect chemistry. The opera is “grandiose” and everything was perfectly arranged. Dont forget that the spectacle was sold out with 2500 people attending. Perfect Christmas. 🎅

Really loved the guided tour! It was very informative and entertaining. Lasting about 1.5 hours, it was never boring; we were also allowed inside. We had the English tour. Although it was really busy at the time at the building, thanks to the tour, we were able to see the entire building and learn a lot about its history. I recommend reserving tickets via the website! At the entrance waiting for the guided tour to start there is no toilet, that was the only downside.
A beautiful venue.

Definitely would put this place on the must visit list. It is so beautiful and grand. It's very busy and tons of people doing outfit changes and taking up space to take the perfect social media photo which could be annoying and funny at the same time. There's a bar in the beautiful hall where the balcony is and we had some champagne. Overall, amazing visit!
While the building itself is a post modernist behemoth without much to call beautiful or inspiring, the art performed is of very high standards. Acoustics in the main hall are excellent and the views from most seats are exceptional. I had the privilege of watching Turandot directed by Bob Wilson, in a packed theatre.

What a history and what an architecture. Highly recommend taking the audio guide and going through every detail, it will change your experience on the opera house. Very room, every detail is thought for and designed with according to that time. It gets packed so you will have to very patient when clicking pictures, add extra time for that. We spent 2.5 hours.
Magnificent opera with greatest decoration and so elegant.

I had never been here. I was amazed at the workmanship that went into every detail of this beautiful opera house. Go early and get a front of line pass because there are very long lines. We spent an hour and a half but could have stayed longer. It's a must-see and very reasonably priced. It's across from the Lafayette mall, which is just stunning.

We watched three modern ballets from Marion Motin, Xie Xin, and Crystal Pite, and what a pleasure it was! Breathtaking, brilliant, unique! Worth every minute and euro. Simply magnificent!!!

Highly recommend the audio guide tour as there is so much detail and so many stories to explore. This opera house is simply stunning! If you can buy tickets to see a performance, I highly recommend it.

Incredible venue and despite all of the chaos and problems Paris has one of the finest opera houses in the world. Saw an incredible performance of Lohengrin. The atmosphere was extraordinary.

Wonderful to visit even without a proper tour! We bought tickets in advance for easy entry. The building is absolutely stunning. Photos without a ton of people in them can be tricky, but that’s to be expected. I really appreciated the ballet costumes and art pieces on display- an unexpected perk! It took us around an hour and a half to tour the whole building in its entirety. I’m sure one could complete it much quicker. Definitely worth a stop in Paris!!

ُExploring the Opéra de Paris during the day as a tourist is an enchanting experience that provides a glimpse into the heart of cultural grandeur. The magnificent venue, with its intricate architecture and rich history, is a must-see for anyone visiting the city.
Booking tickets in advance is a valuable tip that I wholeheartedly endorse. The popularity of the Opéra de Paris can lead to substantial queues, and having advance tickets not only ensures a smoother entry but also allows you to manage your time efficiently.
For anyone with an appreciation for art, history, and architecture, the Opéra de Paris offers an opportunity to step into a world of beauty and creativity.

Large modern opera house. Some of the signage inside is confusing. Be careful on opening the heavy doors, some trim is loose and can snap your fingers. Acoustics are lovely.
Opera Toulon is an opera house located in Toulon, a city in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France. The opera house, officially known as Opéra de Toulon, was built in the late 19th century and is considered one of the most beautiful opera houses in France. It hosts a variety of opera, ballet, and classical music performances throughout the year. The opera house features a grand auditorium with seating for over 1,800 people and is known for its excellent acoustics. Opera Toulon is also home to the Toulon Opera Orchestra and Chorus, which regularly perform in productions at the opera house.

Superb venue. It is always a pleasure to hear opera in this historic setting.
This is the eighteenth-century opera house in the north wing of the château, past the Chapel Royal. A true 'jewel-box' theatre, this is as beautiful a venue as you would expect here. Château de Versailles Spectacles runs an excellent programme here, including concerts and staged operas - see the website for more details!
Sehr sehenswert.

Beautiful opera house. Elaborate and stunning. Wonderful ballet by Monte Carlo corps
Amazing performance but the building in itself is already worth visiting. It always feels like a mini holiday coming here
Saw Le Bourgeois gentilhomme by Molière / Lully. Was a great production! Opera House is very beautiful and grand, seats are tight, though and it gets hot (!) in the balconies.

Beautiful opera house built in the middle of the 19th century with stunning painted ceiling. Skilled orchestra and opera singer performed works by Beethoven, Ravel and others. A must see in Toulon, France.

Nice small opera house. Pure 18th century jewel.
Visited for one of their ballets. This was an amazing experience and we looked forward to seeing more shows.

You can book tickets online through operadeparis website.

The building is absolutely stunning on the outside and inside. I would highly recommend visiting.

A masterpiece of 19th-century theatrical architecture, the Palais Garnier, built by Charles Garnier and inaugurated in 1875, is the thirteenth opera house in Paris since the foundation of this institution by Louis XIV in 1669.

Its construction was decided by Napoleon III as part of the major renovation of the capital carried out under his order by Baron Haussmann.

A historic monument open to visitors during the day. It presents lyrical and choreographic shows.

Full price with temporary exposure, €14; full price excluding exposure period, €12.
The ticket gives access to: the library-museum, the Subscribers' Rotunda, the Pythia Basin, the Grand Staircase, the Grand Foyer, the Avant Foyer, the Moon and Sun Lounges and the Glacier Rotunda.
Access to the concert hall may be restricted or even impossible.
We arrived to the Little Shop of Horrors concert & it was brilliant, wonderful & beautiful place.
I liked it very much - Allen Menken is the best. A real pearl of Paris this place.
SAV du service billetterie au top ! Merci !

Not sure if the Opera de Versailles is free to visit on Sundays or free everyday, and even if it isn't, the Opera House is definitely worth a visit. Unlike the Paris Opera, you can visit the entire ring(colossus?) and walk in front of the stage. Or you can just sit in the Opera, with the staff's commentary, you can feel the chambers of the king of French and nobles. You can take your kids to listen to the popular science of the staff. But remember to keep quiet when passing by the actor's rehearsal room🤫
Loved it! Went for Roméo et Juliette and had a great time. Was on 2nd level on the side and mostly had good views.

Amazingly picturesque place. I could have spent hours in there, and having just found out that shows are run at the Opera House in Versailles, it makes me want to plan a trip around watching something in that beautiful hall. Absolutely breathtaking.

Beautiful opera house with good programme
