The ride up to Col de l'Iseran is well worth it, whether from the Val d'Isere side og Bonneval-sur-Arc. Being the higest paved pass in the Alps there's no shortage of excitement, whether the road itself r the glorious views, quite literally in all directions.

Visiting after most Europeans have had their summer vacation is an advantage. Less traffic and less people. To use a rather famous quote and/or clichè: I'll be back!
What an amazing drive this is!
You need to be aware of the cyclists and bikers but so worth the trip. Make sure your car's up to it though, tyres and brakes will take a punishing!!

Route stratégique permettant de rejoindre le col de tende sans les inconvénients de la route des 46 lacets, et sûrement laissée dans l oubli afin de ne pas être sur-frequentee.
Lovely mountain pass between Italy and France
Vista spettacolare

Very nice pass with spectacular views. It's worth stopping to look down at Val d'Isere. Slower can be more here ;-)

While the driving is daunting to those of us not used to alpine roads, the views are worth the stress.
Gateway to Italy in the summer months, couple of cafe/restaurants and a gift shop,
Most wonderful scenic road to crossing border between Italy and France. Once in a lifetime, that car from Bangkok can drive to here.

D 902 and Route des Grandes Alpes is a road you will not forget. The highest road in the Alps (2770 m) with views of the French Alps. Riding a bike is a challenge for the body, but a lifetime satisfaction. From pictures of alpine cows like from a Milka advertisement to passes, valleys and barely visible peaks in the distance. Fantastic Adventure!

Tra Cadyerino ed i forti di Tenda, eccellente panorama. Accesibile in 4x4
Všechny průsmyky jsem nádherné
Anstrengend mit dem Straßenmotorrad, aber machbar.
Ancient old glacier sphere Valley. Wind blows through the majestic landscape. It is a border between Italy and France where you can enjoy a quiet scenery as there are not many tourists. Winter will be crowded with many skiers.
Bel posto, facile vedere strutture militari completamente intatte.
One of my favorite places to leave the car and go on a nice hike, you choose the time frame, loads of possibilities.
Nice drive up to the top. However on the top the view is somewhat restricted. There are better places for views during the ascent or descent. There are some great hiking trails most of them arent really suited for beginners. Plenty of parking on the top and also along the way. Nice mountain towns in the area.
