I don't think the aquarium only deserves 3.6 stars. It is in Lyon, so, it's not very big but it's definitely enough to spend 2 hours (which is written on the website itself!)

I love how they support organisations and try to educate on marine life, pollution, etc. The setup is well done. Very accessible for handicapped people, too. Really enjoyed and would recommend 💗
Nice to see, but it's not worth 18 euros. It is a small facility. With the Only Lyon card, the price was down to 15 euros per person. Even so, a reasonable price would rather be 12 euros max. A bit messy management of the lines of visitors by the reception desk clerks. The museum shop has overexpensive toys. A good thing is worth mentionning: the aquarium was open on All-Saints day, whereas most museums and many shops in Lyon were closed.

A little disappointed. It is smaller than I expected, especially when compared with the price. It is more like a walking around fish tanks than the aquarium. Even the biggest tank has few fish.
The good point is that it is clean, well organized, and easy parking

It’s beautiful but very small not similar the way it shows on website if see it faster it will be finished in 5 minutes if if you go slower maximum 10 minutes basically it’s not worth it for €18 per person very over priced
Very beautiful place , properly arranged, I love the variety of the different kinds of fish especially the jellyfish. Highly recommended ❤️

This aquarium is underrated. It's actually not that small, with toddlers, we spent a good 1.5-2 hours in here. love the long opening hours from 10-20. Totally worth coming back to La Rochelle for. The first floor has all the local Atlantic fish (which are like fish we eat? So they were pretty ugly). But when you first come in, you come into a very cool jellyfish tunnel. Then on the upper floor, you start to see more colorful fish from Indo-pacific and that was really fun. The facilities are nice, they have some really cool sea horses that I haven't really seen elsewhere. Some tanks are low where you can look from above without a glass (a lot of confidence in people not touching the fish...) and a lot of different type of lobsters and crabs. They have a large tank with maybe 6 medium and small sharks which you can see really well. The coolest part was the sea turtle which I honestly have not seen anywhere else. Maybe this isn't world class like the Osaka Aquarium or the Okinawa one but it's pretty good and I would probably get an annual membership next time. Absolutely no crowds on an October Monday. Awesome.

I went on a rainy day with my hubby, child and European friends.
I don’t know if it’s because of the weather or what, but when we went, the place was PACKED.
But really to a point that made the experience not so fun, overall it’s an alright aquarium. A variety of fish, large windows to see the sharks, but so many people made it long to look at certain kinds of sharks.
I would’ve liked to see more employees on the floor to answer questions and elaborate on certain things.
I think we would’ve had more fun if it wasn’t for the amount of people and the fact we couldn’t really enjoy ourselves.
I did it once, glad I did, but once was enough for me.

Great time here. We arrived at 12 noon and left at 3 pm. The whole experience was knowledgeable for us all. We had lunch outside, and the team was nice. One thing, though, is that for the restaurant upstairs, the toilet is clean, but you need the receipt from the restaurant to access it.
The aquarium is a delightful experience, especially if you have young children, both boys and girls. The captivating shows in the aquarium cinema will undoubtedly delight them. The environment is inviting, family-friendly, and accommodating to all age groups. There are relaxation spots with seating available throughout, allowing visitors to pause, reflect, or simply take in the wonder of marine life.

The aquarium boasts a diverse collection of marine species from the ocean, some of which you may not even be able to identify. It's easily accessible, making it a great choice for families with toddlers and individuals with special needs, including those in wheelchairs. Moreover, the staff in various sections of the aquarium are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I loved it at the aquarium.

An interesting little aquarium. A good variety of fish as well as an albino crocodile. I visited because I was going to the museum on the floor above. I was slightly concerned about the size of some of the tanks, especially for the rays which didn’t have much space. There is a cafe on the floor above.

We enjoyed the nocturnal visit at the aquarium and appreciated our beverages included (champagne!) Close up views of sharks, jellyfish and à host of other fish you would never get close to. Staff were professional and friendly. Check online for discounted tickets in advance as you can save up to 15€ on entry!

Very beautiful and very good for kids .They had quite a variety of jellyfish.
The gift shop was a bit on the smaller side . The best part was a koi pond where you could pet the fish !!!🐟🐠There performances for the mermaid show and the mini cinema are in French . So that’s the only thing to look out for if your just visiting from another country

Read some negative reviews and must admit I was slightly nervous to buy €60 worth of tickets. Honestly they’re rubbish! The aquarium is amazing! 1) there is an amazing collection of fish and sharks 2) the aquariums are of a great height for children and there is no need to carry them to see it 3) there is an explanation in French for the sharks which is very comprehensive 4) it was quite easy to park the car.

The only negative is the cafeteria! It only serves fast food (fish and chips, chicken and chips, hotdogs, donuts…) which is not great for kids and would have much preferred having a healthier option.

Overall I highly recommend it!

Great visit, we have been several times even if the aquarium is a bit small but plenty for 1-1.5h of visit. Kids love it of course 👍 The show that was put on this day was excellent! Really well done and the interaction with kids was great!
Beautiful place and ideal if you want to go with kids. You will see people of all ages there. The aquariums are full of diverse fish. The real attraction are the albonos alligators. A sight to see if you haven't. Unfortunately it was raining that day so we could not enjoy the terrace outside.

18€ is way too expensive for this small collection. The sea animal types are not so various. Doesn't worth the money.

I really enjoyed my day there! Very beautiful experience and place where spent time with your children, family or partner. Recommended!

a pleasant change after all the sights where everyone is waiting. We were there in the afternoon hours after 17 that hour. It was not expected. I would have expected better cleanliness of the toilets. Some people did not know how to behave there, but the aquarium cannot be blamed for that. I recommend visiting especially with children.

Strolling around Paris on vacation we noticed the aquarium and decided to visit. We did not have any children with, but it is very kid friendly. Great displays.

If you love the aquarium, I recommend this place. Near the Eiffel Tower,no need to book the ticket before you come here. It’s not too big, I had the happy time with my girlfriend in this place. There is a place for kid to play with the fish, the decoration is beautiful, we spent about 1 hour for all discovery. One of the interesting experience in Paris. There is a souvenirs shop to buy the toy or postcards.
Hidden underground place right near the Eiffel Tower but very interesting underwater sea creatures. Nice place to visit with the kids, they can even play/touch fishes. Book tickets online, it is cheaper.

This is excellent for young children and adults alike. So many fish, turtles right in front of a park. Great value for money.

One of the cutest aquarium. And it's free . It's not that big but it's very peaceful. Must visit once
I've been meaning to go here for a while and we finally got a chance.

Both of the children really enjoyed themselves, there was a bit of a line to get in but it moved fairly fast, we looked at all the tanks, we watched some short films, and had some snacks.

The only issue we had were all the strollers inside that made it difficult to move around at times other than that it was a really good family experience.

This is an amazing aquarium with fishes and sea creatures from all around the globe! I've never seen such beautiful fishes in my life!
Entry fees are free for student and really cheap for adult.
I recommend it a lot!

Great place to go to with children, seeing the animals is very easy for them and there’s steps for them to see better as well.

Access with a stroller is tedious though since only security guards can unlock the elevator. As for changing stations, only in the women’s restroom.

The cafe staff was not nice except for one lady (around 40), who was very nice and helpful in providing guidance.
Smaller and less spectacular than its competitor the Aquarium de Paris (no shark!) but more educational and still worth the visit. The crocodile pit is one of the main attractions. Since it’s only 3€ extra, take the full ticket and visit the museum. Lots of young children who were having a hell of a good time!
