I haven't ordered for a while as they got my order wrong last time. They did replace it. BUT WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING A SECTION FOR INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR FOOD ORDER IF THE SHOP DOES NOT READ IT. Twice now I specifically asked for my salad and sauce to be separate from my kebab I don't like warm salad and the ketchup was for my fries but it's now all over my kebab. My t is ruined again. Last order for me I'm afraid as they just cannot get it right. Shame as the food is generally very good.
We have just had chicken curry with ham fried rice, boiling hot when it arrived :) It was lovely and the chips were perfect too. The lady who took the telephone order was also very pleasant. Thank you we will be ordering again.
It's a cafe that serves food. It's really not all that special however it's affordable and on edinburgh castle grounds. Stop in and eat before you start your journey, lots of hills and stairs you'll need your energy.
This is the only place you can buy foods and drink at the castle premises.
Atmosphere is good, you can have table inside or outside well.
You can use washrooms,but you need to get down for the washrooms ( use stairs behind the cafe).

Ordered food over the phone at 9.54 and the food never arrived, definitely won't be ordering from here again
Fantastic chilled bar at sips on the square Orlando natalie and all the staff were welcoming and served fantastic drinks
The Cafe is having a lot of options to suit everyone tastebuds. The staff behavior is good specially Ben who was kind enough with serving us.

Busy. Smelt strange in the window section. Tables dirty with plates stacked up. Loads staff but just talking not the best place to vist while at a top world attraction
The food here was okay. It had been sitting out all day and so it was a little dry. I can't really expect much better when it's been sitting out. However, the "pot of tea" ended up being a paper cup of tea. If the staff ran out of teapots then they should have told us.
After seeing the castle we were hungry and stopped in the cafe for lunch. Had arrived 15 minutes before they started serving hot food. We waited then ordrred the chicken and mushroom pot pie and the fish dish with side dishes. All food was very good with large portions. Nice find.
This must be my sixth kebab from King Kebab now over a period of a few months and they are the best kebabs i have had, i wouldn't go anywhere else, i said to the chap behind the counter that i pass four kebab shops to get to King Kebab, very friendly staff, excellent food and looks very clean, what more can you ask for.... 10/10 Thank you.

Got the order completely wrong. Asked for price of food on the phone, when it came it was as if the delivery driver wanted more money because the shop had closed. Will 100 percent not be returning here

Not impressed. Ordered twice now, curry sauce has a horrible burned taste. Spring rolls are cheap and tasteless. Soups are so sloppy it’s like jelly. Nothing seems fresh at all. Even the fried rice they can’t seem to get right. Really miffed after spending nearly 40 quid and the only thing half decent was the prawn crackers. Not ordering from here again.

Best kebabs, loads of meat and salad. Our go to! Deliveries are always on time with very friendly service. The garlic mayo is unreal. Chips, pizza, onion rings, garlic bread also nice. Very good value for money, Always hot, been many times and never disappointed.

So glad to have come across this rooftop bar while exploring the St James center. Incredible views to Calton and surprisingly reasonable prices. Chandon Garden Spritz is a must try
The place is really nice and we’ve been looked after well by Colin, but 1 star goes to the girl with a puppy on the door. So rude!!!! Don’t bring your dog to work if you don’t want people to interact with him. And then told them off because your dog is looking for attention and you’re saying that the collar strains it’s neck
Best view iv ever seen, i used to live in a penthouse in Manhattan for 26 million and this view makes it look like nothing, I LOVE EDI!!!!!!!
Went there yesterday to meet up with an old friend. Great views, reasonable prices and very friendly staff. Would definitely go back again!

Out of date products just sold to me. When I asked for a refund I was refused.
Ordered my usual at heavily hiked up price. I requested after 7pm and it came at 6.45pm . The food was luke warm and no where near the standard I expected . I have been a loyal customer for years but very disappointed in food tonight substandard ingredients with far too many water chestnuts to bulk it up . I didnt mind the extra delivery fee or service charge but not even to get our usual complimentary bag of prawn crackers!!! just topped it off ...waste of money and much of it wasted ...could have made it better myself and at a fraction of the price..AVOID obviously not caring about customer satisfaction

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS TAKEOUT. My husband had stomach cramps and my son sickness along with stomach cramps. The food was swimming in grease, some of it cold. We left a lot of it. I will now be contacting the food standards agency. Reported it to Wangs the same evening I was told I would get a response from the owner. Explained we wanted a full refund, they requested photos which were sent, still no refund. As the previous reviewer had a 3 hour wait Christmas Eve,. The owners got greedy taking advantage of the busy period but should have warned clients of the horrendous wait. No thought or interest in their customers, appalling service.
I have used Wang's for years but after the way we have been treated tonight I will never use them again. I know it's Christmas Eve and we expected some delay if they are busy, but we ordered a meal online at 7:30 and it has just arrived at 22:13. We have ring them twice to enquire about the order. The first call was at 9pm, an hour and a half since placing the order and we're told that they were busy and we're in the process of cooking the food. We accepted the reason of them being busy but we have once again had to ring them as still no food. I think at the very least they could have rung and explained that the food would only be delivered after 10pm. It's almost bedtime and we are hungry. This company needs to reasses it's customer service. After being a loyal customer of theirs for many years, I will not be giving them my custom in the future.

Recently got new owners and the food had gone completely down hill. I got sweet and sour pork with fried rice and barbecue spare ribs. The rice was stodgy and tasteless. The sweet and sour pork was doughy and tasteless pork with an aftertaste. The ribs where fatty and again tasteless. This tasted like really cheap meat.
On top of that, all the prices have gone up. You used to get a meal then an extra 60p for fried rice, now it's £2.50 extra.
I've been going to Wangs for years and have loved this place but now avoiding. Don't waste your money.

Absolutely disgusting! We ordered a salt and pepper box, had one a couple of months ago and it was lovely. It was disgusting this time, spring rolls were like dry cardboard. Chicken so tough, tastes like it’s been cooked and recooked. It was Luke warm. Won’t be ordering from here again.
First experience and I wanted it to be a lot better than it was. That said, I would go again as the reviews are good and my experience may just be a one off... We all have our off days right?
I ordered mixed kebab, chips & some wings... Took what seemed like an eternity to arrive but there had been a power cut locally to called to check all in hand. I was assured all good with my order and would be 15 mins longer... After 45 mins I decided to call again to see where it was up to and was told on its way. (Friendly and good customer service)
Chips piping hot but kebab cold...
The shish kebab meat was fatty and tough, the chicken tikka had no char and looked like it had been boiled. Dinner meat was nice but cold :(
Got a free tomato and cheese pizza though. Happy days.

Friendly, good general assortment of groceries, cards, newspapers etc.
Been going to Kebab King for almost four years, we have never had a bad meal, the staff are really friendly and welcoming and they do so much for charity during Ramadan that people don't know about. Top blokes and great food.
I had a wonderful lunch here for a more than fair price. The cafe was clean and the staff was very friendly. They have a nice selection of mains, pizza, cakes and other baked goods and drinks. The views from the windows are very nice. It is a good place to begin or end your trip to the castle or perhaps a midway pick me up or cake and tea!
