Having walked past this hotel for many years since I was a little girl, I’m now 64, I always wanted to stay at this hotel but was a little disappointed, it is very dated and the room was very old fashioned and old dark furniture, I knew before we booked that the balcony doors were restricted opening but I think if the rooms were modernised then they could put a glass front up for safety so they weren’t covering the lovely original balcony rails and enabling visitors to step out.
But the staff were amazing, restaurant staff couldn’t do enough for you and the food and choice were lovely, we found reception very helpful and the cleaner was great. Despite the faults we had a great 3 night stay
Lovely room, pleasant staff. Prior to my visit I found customer service sadly lacking as I was promised a call back twice. Still waiting. Had a really good time though.
When we first arrived at the Crown Spa Hotel in Scarborough we were surprised at how it looked. There was no parking to be found and glad we had taken a taxi to drop us off for the day. When we went in, we had prebooked a spa day with massages, afternoon tea and access to the facilities.

We went to the desks and got directed down some stairs, and told where to get changed (group gender change areas with free lockers) and told the facilities were next to change area and would be collected when massage was ready. We though OK and went down into this dark area where there was a very small pool with zero seating area to relax. There was a jacuzzi style bath that was quite large that seemed to work for about 10 minutes at a time.

It wasn't nice, the pool was crowded with about 15 people in a space where it should be about 4 people max to swim. A group of women decided they were going to just wait in the centre of the pool and we had to swim around them, then they decided to all swim in a row blocking the pool so we got out. We tried the big bath and the water really hurt eyes so came out and found an area where there was a sauna, steam and ice room. These were nice but the water fountain tasted awful and nowhere else to get anything. There was some very uncomfortable chairs left out in this space but people had left towels on them so were not usable.

My wife asked about drinks at the reception and then told we couldn't have them in there but we could in their spa area. We questioned why we were only being told of this spa area now when we were booked in as a spa entry and told we could go up now. This changed everything, we were in the state to ask for massage early and leave as the facilities which we now realise must be their normal club area and not where we should have been directed. We didn't question it as the person who directed us had a deputy manager badge on so assumed we were doing what we were meant to be.

Moving to the actual spa area was lovely. There was a relaxation room and access to the same style of spa facilities such as sauna, steam and ice room. I really enjoyed the ice room after the sauna and could relax on the beds in relax room. The afternoon took a nice turn then. It was easy to get drinks and there was a call button if you wanted anything and in there, people couldn't seem to do enough for you wanting to support anything. Drinks were not expensive, we just had cola and for the 4 drinks we had, it was about £4.20 - there was loads of water jugs they were regularly refreshing in the spa area.

We had afternoon tea booked and moved it to earlier in the day, we went up and enjoyed the time. My partner had a really nice hot chocolate and I had an okay coffee but the foods were nice and we took some away as it was very filling.

The massages were wonderful, I had a lady named Lisa who was from England but had lived in Australia for a long time. I get a lot of pain in my upper back and shoulders and although our massages were only 25 minutes, my back has felt generally great since (2+ weeks) and she managed to fix issues that have bugged me for about 2 months. Lisa was easy to talk to, and answered all questions I had about things. I wish we had booked for longer in hindsight but it was really good and appreciated.

Overall, the day was a good day but if my wife had not asked about drinks - I think it would have been quite different and we would have left unhappy. That one question gave us a lovely afternoon and put in the right place for our booking.
Brilliant stay here. The staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Dave on reception is an absolute diamond. The hotel was lovely and warm (even in storm babette(?) ) and the food was fresh and tasty. The spa is lovely if a bit difficult to access ( due to the age of the building)
I'm in a wheelchair, but Andy helped my husband to get me down to pool level.
Would definitely recommend this place.

Had a brilliant Halloween night out at Magical Woodland, Cheshire. It was muddy and cold a typical October night. It is worth the money. You do need to be physically fit as it's a long walk round. A excellent variety of lights and shows. A bit hilly in places. Dogs not allowed. Suitable 2+ years

We did visit Magic Wonderland, but before we had a look around and I found this place absolutely lovely. Free car park. ( not just one but few), indoor soft play area for kids, pets shop, craft shops. £5 per person to visit birds such as owls or vultures, mini attractions for kids and of course Wonderland.
Booked for four days to cover a couple of events. The food was excellent and well presented. The staff were very good and couldn't do enough for us. We had a lovely clean room looking over the bay. Even the weather played its part, four beautiful days, and didn't start raining until we set off home. Well, it speaks for itself because we've booked again for next year's event. Thanks to all.
Nice, big beautiful sea facing 4-star hotel. Was there for 3 days for business conference. Some of the staff members are not so friendly and lacked the service which you expect from such a big hotel. Food is not delicious and not very expensive. The high tea menu is subtle and great. Rooms are spacious and scenic.

Friends got married here on Saturday, the venue and location was amazing and luckily the weather was dry. The birds of prey was definitely my highlight.

Lovely place to spend the afternoon with the little one! We visited the Falconry centre and Playbarn - these went down a treat. Special mention to Polly and tots ltd too, excellent choice there and very reasonably priced 👍

Wonderful relaxing place. The staff are simply the best, especially at the restaurant bar. They have the most wonderful and helpful staff there.
This hotel did not disappoint. Absolutely flawless. Staff were incredible. Top class hotel. The best night sleep I've ever had. I wouldn't hesitate to book a room here again with my family.
The doorman was so welcoming and took care of me as I was still waiting for my family to come despite being tired and coming from rehearsals. Only had two issues was the small ripped bed sheets and got charge for breakfast but did get a refund back though after checking out. Good location in london though as you can do a walking distance to tourist attractions easily and access to near by shops and public transport.
Having stayed at the Waldorf many times over several years. My latest experience was simply excellent. Chosen for the location as I was going to the theatre with my daughter. The door staff are always welcoming and frankly deserve to be commended as they make the first impression. The reception staff who in the past are a little hit and miss on this occasion continued the excellent service of the door staff. We were given a choice of rooms and my daughter was given a play book with stickers and games to play. Finding items in the hotel which she loved. This led her back to the door staff who really played along which she loved. A special thanks to them for this. Our room was clean, and sufficient for our stay. The only real downsides were the bar staff. I seemed to continually have to find someone to take my order for a drink/coffee which didn’t feel that fitting for the Waldorf. Overall the experience was good, location was excellent and the door staff and reception staff excellent.
Really enjoyable day out. My kids love the fairground, pet shop, softplay and craft shop, and my favourites are the two fantastic Antique shops, Farrow House and The Emporium. Highly recommend a visit!

Building impressive but you are not allowed in or that near. You are not allowed on the beach either. Also the area smells dreadfully of the oil refinery. Which is also noisy. There are no facilties available eg cafe or toilets. A very different aspect to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. One that we have done to help complete the whole path, but not one we will return to in a hurry.
Two close friends who were really looking forward to The Beauty and Beast afternoon tea. But sadly very disappointed in the whole experience. And, even more in the team’s response to our complaints.
On arrival we were shown to a table that was not properly laid up, no rose in a dome, no candelabra and positioned in front of the kitchen door. The staff treated us as if we were second class citizens. We had to ask for everything, teaspoons, strainers and each course. In the middle of our experience there was a staff meeting in the middle of the restaurant! Then to top it all at 4pm the staff started cleaning down, the ambiance was completely spoiled, with the clattering of the cups and the going in and out of the kitchen. One waitress dropped a tray and the cups smashed, the others walked over the broken crockery!

We have tried for 3 weeks to get in contact with different people to voice our concerns and no one contacts us back. Yesterday we were promised faithfully that the food and beverage manager would contact us, but guess what….. once again no return call was received. Customer services at its worst!
The hotel is nice but expensive, bit old fashioned, and in need of a face lift and a good clean throughout. There was quite a lot of dust in the room and in the bar area. Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. All staff really friendly. The lady with short blonde hair in breakfast room should speak a little quieter, she was moaning to a colleague (swearing) about a group of 3 people using a table for 6, which actually ended up being a full table. The Leeds United supporter lady who works on the bar and breakfast room so friendly and professional. Could really do with more windows to open in the room has it was really warm 🥵 in the room, even with the fan provided. Bath... Very tricky to get in and out, I would imagine older people would really struggle to use it, even the shower was a struggle with only the rainfall shower, no shower attachment to use. Loved the pool, sauna ect, all free to use bonus.
Overall we still had a pleasant stay thank you.
Impeccable service. Johnny brought me a cappuccino and a fresh muffin at 5am bc I was on US time and working. Rooms are clean and the staff at the front desk Anastasia and Christian were very nice and accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel. Comfy beds too.

You have a staff member who "owns" the building but turns out just works there harassing members of the public on the street for taking photos...in London

If you take photos or videos of this building you get harassed by security and the manager. They claim it is a "private" building and can't be photographed. It is legal in the UK to take pictures of buildings from a public place. This is London where tourists take thousands of pictures every day.

So much to see and do for all the family.
2 antiques Emporiums, design shed pet shop, vintage garden area. Restaurants, cafe, owls on display.
Wedding venue.
Fair open during school hols and weekends. Nice walks.
Glamping pods and touring site. Monthly car boot sale. Various events on throughout the year.
From the moment they open their doors for you, you feel special. Everyone is crazy nice and they make an effort to ask you about your day and to give you little touches of courtesy through your stay. The breakfast is pretty amazing and they have 2 bars that are super fun. If you have the time definitely do the tea service.
Overall, a disappointing experience for a Hilton!
On arrival, I was checked in by someone who could not be bothered to deal with me, it seemed an inconvenience that I wanted to check in. Certainly not a warm and friendly welcome I always receive at Hilton.
My room was nice enough, spacious and a friendly note left by the housekeeping team, who had left the room super clean. The room did seem rather tired and could definitely do with a refurbishment.
The adjoining Health Club (not run by Hilton), was very disappointing. The pool was full of debris at the bottom and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly for some time. The sauna and steam room were both not working.
Breakfast again lacked any warmth and the staff seemed to have no grooming standards, one member of staff walking around in a filthy pair of trainers. The breakfast offer itself was good.
I might have raised these concerns on checkout if I was asked how my stay was, but I was never asked.
I’ve stayed in lots of excellent Hilton hotels, and this is evident from my other reviews. This was not one of them!
We booked for my birthday and have mixed feedback.
The staff were lovely and very helpful - especially on the front/spa reception and in the breakfast room.
The spa was fun and had good facilities - especially the huge hot tub and ice room.
The location was perfect, offering easy access down to the waterfront - the view from our room was also breathtaking - as shown.
Our room was tired in places, but we understand improvements are due to take place imminently.
I raised my concerns with Martin the General Manager, who is one of the most professional men I've encountered. He clearly cares about his guests and is prepared to go above and beyond to ensure an amazing stay.
Thanks again Martin, we hope to see you in the not so distant future! Andy
Great office location just behind the Tate museum and within walking distance of London Bridge, Southwark, Borough and Blackfriars. Not to mention to plethora of restaurants and coffee shops.

It's not really worth going to. There's not much to see .
Stayed there during the London Marathon. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The morning of the race not only did they give me directions to the start but connected me with others headed in that direction. They made our stay so special. Location was great, awesome restaurants so close.
We would definitely return when visiting London in the future.
The rooms were also clean and spacious for our family!
A once welcoming place to visit long since ruined and emasculated by failing businesses and extortionate rents. At this rate a future dinosaur facing extinction.
Brilliant softplay and gymnastics facility.
love the location along with the people are friendly. The only downside is that the car park is very small. Finding parking is like trying to find gold dust. There is a tesco across the road and a cafe that does full English breakfast
Some businesses closed

Maybe you shouldn’t have circular entrances if your building was so privately purposed. Extremely rude, bald man with glasses gotta shield down. Telling us the building is not a public area (with an unbelievably rude attitude) right when we stepped our foot in. I have never ever seen someone this unmannered in London ever since I lived here, drop it.
Bad signage, reception is round the back, and up 2 floors of stairs with no lift.
Could be better, most commercial shops have left in 2021/2 shame that they have. Such as H&M which was a go to place for child and pre teens clothes. Becoming a profit for the Owners but loss for Tunbridge Wells due to the empty shops, how much is this costing our council?
Pretty much all the same these places they have what you or don't
As I arrived 2 go to gym +tonic I found out it was closed permanently. Wot ashock nobody informed me.it had a ladies only part.which I enjoyed.
Very nice place has a library cafe music room and more
Daughter goes to the gymnastics and its clearly the best around
It's just bizarre. The building is the home of BBC radio Kent with a television broadcasting facility on the upper floor. There is a Sainsbury's local, and a sofa shop at the end of this 'arcade' which gives the impression the owner or leaseholder didn't want to give up and leave. The 'arcade' seems to be an elaborate walk through to a multistorey car park behind this not so great hall.
Built in 1863 now owned by Valero so not open to public, but the view from here is good.
Nice atmosphere not made to feel uncomfortable great staff

Looks fascinating, but sadly you can't get inside. Seems to be used as office space by one of the oil companies.
Lovely lil walk through entrance when the BBC radio was there as you could see them presenting it but unfortunately it's now s hip I stead but love building
Not the most exciting spot in Tunbridge Wells. BBC local studio present plus sainsbury's and the sofa shop

A vast office complex behind the Tate Modern, with stunning roof terrace views alongside a myriad of top level lunch stations.

Fun fact: the opening scenes from The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2015) were filmed here, doubling as a business meeting room in the USA.

If my review or photo was interesting, please leave a thumbs up 👍 Thanks!
Regular visits, decent gym
Good hairdressers
Brilliant I have permanent position now. Phoenix Perry Tank you. From start to finish excellent 5 stars
Really tight to get in and out of when delivering. Don't send attics here!
Well made and designed building with some great office space capabilities.

Also home to Centreforce Radio..

So, all good really
Our regular place for quick, tasty meal. We go very regularly and are considered friends and family by the staff.
The BBC has a Radio station, next door is Sainsbury's Local shop. It also has an excellent men's clothes shop, high goods but excellent value. At the rear is a car parking , mostly underground. Beyond that a very picturesque park with tennis courts and children's large play area.

Good for staying dry but unless you fancy a visit to the BBC, staring at Sainsbury's customers or buying a sofa - then there's nothing.
Good facility for companies. We have leased our 2000 square feet purpose built unit from the centre for two years now. Excellent facilities. Excellent and easy access routes into London. 24 hour access. Good security. As a business, we throughly recommend the business park. Flexible terms. Diligent landlord.
Great offices good services

Didn't go in the Fort but followed path down to a secluded cove
Sainsbury, however small it is stays open till 11pm.That's the biggest advantage of this place as the rest of the markets arround are closed at 8pm. Tesco at 9pm. but only on Thursday's and Friday's.There is a carpark at the back, remember to have a card or a few coins in your pocket as the payment point will not take any notes in.If you think that without any problem you can go and get some change in Sainsbury than it's not true.Trust me I've left my car, gone in to the Sainsbury to get the lighter and straight came back to pay for the parking. Can't tell you exactly how long it was,5 maybe 7 minutes which was enought for this "gentelman" to leave me the "yellow greetings card"(time was 2minutes earlier than the time of ticket I bought).I'm sure there is always a one or two of them hidden nicelly just waiting for a chance...
