Couple of tips for newbies using this cinema.
Take some cash for the parking as it does not take card, however you can pay for parking at the till but then you have to go all the way back down to your car as its pay & display.
Don't be fooled by the "from £5.99" prices advertised, we had a £20 gift voucher and still had to top it up by £1.98. This was very irritating as i was expecting change, not have to pay more! Didn't go near the snacks as i refuse to pay the ridiculous prices.
Pricing should be more transparent, no card for parking should also be advised on the website.

Went yesterday with my daughter to watch despicable me 4, i paid for VIP seating and was shocked to see how run down the theatre was, 4-5 seats to our right were covered, saying they were out of use, seating was not very comfortable and the cinema was absolutely freezing! We dressed for the weather outside, so shorts and t-shirts and didn't expect to be shivering inside the theatre.. I spent most of the movie trying to warm her up after spending £50 on snacks, drinks, and the movie. I didn't really want to leave wasting that amount of money.
We really did not enjoy our experience at all, and I doubt we'll be returning.

I’m usually not the type to leave a negative review, however my experience today at the cinema was appalling, I watched the new long legs film known to be a popular movie, we were given the smallest cinema room and absolutely every seat was booked with some people disappointed as they were unable to buy any seats, it was so cramped with people dangling their feet over seats infront so I sat for over 2hours with feet next to my face and there was no rules against this so nothing could be done and the lights were on for half of the movie it took people complaining for them to be turned off, the seats in the theatre were very dirty and the room was messy before anyone step foot inside, im hoping for a better experience next time.
Normally don’t mind coming here normally go to cineworld but I had my sky vouchers to use so decided to make an evening out of it, we waited to get served for about 5 mins this one particular staff member served us I asked about the popcorn combos and he shrugged and said what you on about again? I just found it very rude and unprofessional and no one to scan tickets

I went to watch Kung Fu Panda 4 with my friends. We waited for this movie for quite long, ignoring the fact that Vue cinema has a bad reputation among public. Finally we experienced it, people were getting mad in the hall due to the Bad picture quality and they never turned off the lights which was even worse. That was my 3rd bad experience with Vue cinema (Star City) I would recommend, don't go there its not worth it at all. All 4 of my mates were really disappointed, we didn't even bother taking this matter to the management because we have this perception about Vue Cinema in mind that they don't care about the customer value at all.

Visited here where a game was played, but I digress. This theater was quite during my visitation and the relaxed atmosphere enabled me to enjoy the movie in peace.
I opted for the VIP lounge and was not disappointed. It was situated upstairs, away from the peasants. The seats were reclining chairs with a tray to hold my urban fodder.
If one was to nitpick, it would be their lack of spicy nachos, preferably doritos heatwave to accompany their salsa dip. Other than that, it was decent.

Oh my word, my son booked tickets for the wrong film. He has a disability, I tried to call and then what's app message and no body to actually speak to.
Then I was messaged that a refund had been processed, which is fine. But my son doesn't have money to re purchase them.
Totally rubbish customer service, the chat was closed four times and didn't give me time to reply. They say there service is inclusive and accessible but it clearly isn't!

VUE you need to get your act together. This could be great but you’ve let it run down. I have never been to a screen like it!
Have been going to this Cinema for years, but visited today and was not impressed. First when walking in to Screen 19 it was too dark and dangerous for someone to fall up or down the steps. Even with the big screen lit up did not give enough light.
Secondly it was absolutely FREEZING, air con was on so had to sit through the film with coat over me.
Never used to be like this. I know costings are high but you need to be comfortable when siting there for hours.

In need of updating. Old broken seats in the back of the screen. Dirty toilets that don't look liked they've been cleaned properly in months. And the sweets from the pick a mix were old and a rip off. Rather pay more and go to one of the new odeon cinemas.
A great store with a large selection of Asian vegetables both fresh and frozen. The fresh vegetables are always of good quality and I always buy them from there.
Also has a large selection of spices dal and other ingredients needed for Asian cuisine. Also has a selection of pans and utensils.
The staff are always friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend a visit for ingredients for Asian cooking.

This place is amazingly good! It was a lifechanging experience and I look forward to going again! I recommend to anybody that likes chilling in comfy chairs or watching movies with family or loved ones. The chairs are comfy, the snacks are delicious, and the staff are all really nice! I would rate it a 10000000000000000000000000/5 stars if I could but I couldn't address the awesomeness of this cinema. Please respond if you see this. :)
Vue cinema no 30 was extremely cold. My coat stayed on & my husband who is always warm was also very cold

Seats not recliners as expected, toilets needed cleaning. £2.50 parking. I highly suggest you go Vue at Salford Lowry instead - full reclining seats, clean and validated parking.
Amazing food staff are so nice the cinema has so many good films to watch with ur friends family or if ur in a relationship they have got a sweet bit and it has so many options of crisps sweets and lots more ! The popcorn is luxurious like the cinema u have got options of sweet and salty it also has a slush machine lovely and refreshing it has got so many flavours this also come with a side of Icey cold fizzy drink s
One of the best places in Birmingham to have fun. This place has cinema, fun games, restaurant and amazing parking space.🚗🚘 As far as I know this is the only place where we can freely park and enjoy our time without worrying about parking ticket/charges.
The theatres have interval time count down🕒. I've never seen anywhere. It's a great idea. Great work VUE cinemas. Someone is atleast trying to improve user experience rather than sticking up to the old methods. 🤩

I bought an out of date baguette it was tuna and mayonnaise which I would not eat I was half way home when I noticed it I was ina rush to go to an appointment.

The quality of the screens is good, however there's no seating in the lobby so there's nowhere to comfortably wait for your screen to open up. The ticket staff we dealt with were a bit rude, however the food and drink staff were really nice. It's definitely a mixed bag.

I have disabilities, and my partner works full time, as a mechanic, 30 miles away from home, so trying to get a time where he's not too worn out, and I'm having a good day is a rarity.
So... We struggled to book the tickets, as the website didn't like his phone, and eventually got them booked on mine. We specifically clicked on TODAY, Sunday, and were given 2 time options... 12.50 and 8pm. We ordered tickets for 12.50, and arrived having driven 20 miles to get to the venue, only to be told that no, Napoleon is not showing at 12.50, but at 8pm only, and that for some reason, the website had kicked our ticket order over to tomorrow, Monday, when he's at work, and I'm alone. Not great at all, especially when I call the premium rate number, that I was told would get me to a person who would refund the tickets, and get an automated system which took 5 minutes to tell me to refund through the website!!!
Seriously? What's wrong with the site staff telling me that? Or maybe sort out the website programming, so that you get what you ask for. Not impressive at all.

We tried to buy popcorn at the desk and were told to go and order it at the machine to then pick up at the desk, despite the desk having counters and tills. Essentially we had to queue up to be told to queue at the machine to then queue a third time to pick up popcorn, where they then grab it for you. During the movie there was a very noisy group of people who repeatedly had their flashlights out on their phone which was very distracting, and went unchallenged by staff until somebody reported it, where they said that they were already aware of the group but had done nothing about it. Other than that it's a well kept venue and the staff are friendly.

Been to The Odeon, Everyman and now Vue. This is 100% the best setup I have visited so far. Really nice bar area. A wide range of drinks and snacks at an affordable price. Multiple screens available with the most comfortable seating. Can't wait to go back 👍
Amazing Value at this cinema, when ticket prices are so high elsewhere, £4.99 anytime is amazing, best to pre book online. Always clean and of the 4 or 5 movies I have watched here recently, my fellow audience members have been well behaved, just like in the good old days of cinema. Only snag, the recent Indiana Jones film stopped playing halfway through, and it took an audience member to let the staff know, so they could rectify the situation, that's definitely not like the good old days, when the projectionist would be watching for errors.
Always dealt with by staff courteously, no shortage of things to buy in shop. And good for topping-up utility prepayment cards. Recommended.
Vu Cinema in Darlington is excellent! The staff is incredibly kind, and as a wheelchair-dependent person, I felt very comfortable. Plus, booking online is a cost-effective choice. Highly recommended!
Don't make the mistake of thinking you can just queue up for a drink and popcorn and a human being takes your order and gives you it. Too old fashioned. You have to first queue to enter your order on a grubby screen, then queue again whilst the machine tells the human what to do - bonkers

Lovely staff, clean, and a beautiful balcony area with fairy lights. I LOVE coming here with my friends after college. Prices are per usual ridiculous but bring your own snacks, and it's a great cinema.

Fresh Asian produce at great prices. Parking is tight so be cautious of busy periods. There is a car park less than 100 metres away.
The newly refurbished cinema is well worth a visit. It’s equipped with the most comfortable and spacious seats 💺 comparing to so many Vue cinema we have been.

A newly refurbished cinema with large and comfortable seats. High quality sound and screens and a mixture of large and small screens. The ticket price for the films are very reasonable for the middle seats. £5.99 is a good price. The down side to this cinema is the food and drinks are expensive and will increase the price of your experience by quite a bit. I would recommend for a cinema in York.
We were in @Ikea and needed Indian groceries. Nearest by 0.9miles.. Great store for everything from fresh-frozen. Eastend Ambchoor 85p... Gits Papar £1.39 each. Good prices on several items. Spent just under £40. Clean & tidy. Would definitely go there again.

I do go to this shop on Friday with me and mum to buy cereal and snacks and food. Every shop layout and interior andn every mini market should have this layout 5 stars and I do sure like it!
I am a regular at this store, even though their prices are quiet dear I don’t mind paying it as the quality of produce is good. However, when I went earlier this week they had priced up their yogurt wrong so when I paid for it I was overpriced. I confronted the staff about it and the guy was very understanding and kind. The lady, when told to refund me 60p, threw the money on the counter at me. I was so disgusted as I was a regular customer here and it was their mistake that I was overcharged. I was so disheartened by this experience and won’t be going again after I was treated so disrespectfully by the staff.

One stop shop for all your essentials. Especially with Ramadhan drawing close have a good selection of essentials needed for savouries. These spring roll pastry currently 2 for £3. Also managed to find this shaan butter chicken spice.
Free parking. Popcorn, slushes and other edibles a bit pricey which makes the whole experience considerably dear. Although we have the Cineplex where we live but the neat clean and comparatively comfortable seats with ample leg room still makes this our go to cinema for the family.

Great screen, sound and picture quality but unfortunately our auditorium stank literally of urine. Also, the seating is level instead of sloped, so if anyone tall sat in front you'd be out of luck. Bad design for sure.
There is an option to get an upgraded seat, which is more spacious, but we were satisfied with our seats. The seats were comfortable although there wasn't a lot of leg room. The theater wasn't full, so our view wasn't obstructed. Everything else was fine.
