This is a lovely flying school with great staff, a super fleet, very competitive prices, and excellent availability.

28.10.23 I was fortunate enough to start my flying journey with an Air experience trail lesson with one of your outstanding Instructors John Benson. The whole experience was incredibly professional, from meeting Sam the operations director at the airfield to discussing theory, wheels up and eventually down with John.

Sam’s enthusiasm and passion for the club shone out loud and hearing of his future plans for the airfield, club house and its members cemented the fact I’ve found my flying club.

Johns flying knowledge and skill set were second to none. I was made to feel in very good hands and his confidence and control carried over and I soon felt very comfortable in the air. ‘ Your in control’ can be a menacing message to hear but with John talking me through every movement i was soon at home in the air, embracing the freedom, clipping the clouds and soaking up every second of the experience which was quite easily put, terrific.

I can’t thank you both enough and I cannot wait to be back in the air chasing that horizon.

Future aviators look no further in selecting your flying school. Take Flight is the real deal.

Thank you for an amazing time this week. A 'pleasure' flight arranged at fairly short notice including a rearrangement. The staff were very helpful and accommodating in helping us to do this. Four of us turned up, our pilot of the day was Sam so the decision was made to do two half hour flights and let all of us go up in the plane. The flying process from start to finish was professional and I watched keenly to see the pre flight safety checks being done. Sam gave us an excellent pre departure safety briefing. The weather was perfect and we saw so much during our flight over Oxfordshire. A real treat. Highly recommend Take Flight Aviation. If the opportunity arises I'd gladly come back for another flight. Blue skies and tail winds........

what a wonderful experience. Had a trial lesson on 24/09/2022 really enjoyed it now want to do lessons with your selves what a nice aircraft flew in G-BSCY . The instructor GORDON WALSH was calm and professional and made the experience really enjoyable will be in touch about lessons I will hopefully come in person to discuss.

By far the best ground school I have experienced. All subjects were delivered in a friendly and professional manner with a good balance of fact and humour. Chris clearly is in his element as an instructor and has exceptional knowledge. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone from all experience levels.

Chris was my aviation trainer for my new employment and saying he was a pleasure was an understatement. He is so full of knowledge and skills but the delivery of his teaching is second to none. With a lot of modules to get through he was always engaging and made the class fun. We went through interesting case studies and the learning was interactive to keep us all involved. I have been a member of Oxfordshire Sport Flying (OSF) for 9 years, completing my PPL with them. I have always found it to be a very welcoming club with a fantastic level of flying training, delivered by passionate and professional instructors that not only makes flying fun with safety as a priority, but creates a foundation of skill and enthusiasm that I have taken with me in my career as a commercial aviator.

Through OSF's inclusive philosophy where club members are encouraged to get involved where possible, and the variety of courses offered, I have also gained other valuable skills and qualifications such as my AGCS Operators Certificate allowing me to man the "tower" radio on my days off work.

If you're considering learning to fly, looking for expert and friendly flying instruction, or just self hire of immaculately kept aircraft, OSF is the place for you.

Being completely honest... the team at OSF are brilliant and so welcoming. Whether it's your first time going up in a plane or you're looking for a club to join, these are the guys to do it with. Just love the vibes they give off. Aircraft are looked after and well maintained so no worries there. I've visited a few times and plan to do so again soon! 😋

I learned to fly with the team at OSF who made the whole process fantastically enjoyable. It was quite clear that they were invested in my training from day one, understood my needs and aspirations and were not simply trying to process me through the system like I feel some of the larger schools would do.

The large hard runway, quiet airspace, modern aircraft, reasonable prices and well maintained facilities all made for a perfect environment from which to take your first steps into aviation.

I have been flying regularly at OSF since 2013, initially flying their T61 and then training for my conversion to their Diamond Dimona during 2016. I then did my SSEA rating on the Diamond DA20 during 2018 which felt a very natural progression.

The training and support that I have received from the OSF instructors over the years has been excellent, the Oxfordshire location is also a great training area with great views from the air.

I thoroughly recommend OSF for flying experiences, bi-annual checks and flying training with this friendly club.

A welcoming flying club that has an excellent standard of flight training, delivered by friendly and approachable instructors, with fantastic aircraft at reasonable prices. Oxfordshire Sport flying is the perfect environment for any aviation enthusiast. The club also has a great flying community with members from many backgrounds who all share their passion for aviation. I have been flying at club from my first flying lesson and have had so much opportunity and gained masses of knowledge, but most importantly enjoyed every minute of it. So whether you are keen to learn to fly, or looking to do some self fly hire, Oxfordshire Sport Flying is the place to go!

I was recommended OSF as the place to go to obtain my LAPAL(A) TMG and they were not wrong. The training was very professional both in the air and for the ground exams. All the instructors were excellent and the aircraft are well looked after. Also it was fun & very enjoyable with lots of exposure to cross-country navigation as well as flying. The club is friendly and welcoming and I am now looking towards obtaining my SEP.

I have throughly enjoyed flying at Oxfordshire Sport Flying since moving to the area.
The instructors are friendly, enthusiastic and happy to offer the training as needed.
Along with a variety of aircraft they are also able to offer very cost effective flying.
