I should have reviewed this shop sometime ago as it's my go to shop for Black owned products. The owner is wonderful, anyone else I've met in the store continues that amazing customer service. Brilliant independent store. Do support her, she knows her products and is a truly lovely person.

OMG we bought two papyrus pictures from Cairo in 2009 and have never had them framed because we couldn't find a decent frame, until we went to Art effects. So happy with the result and professional approach from them. Amazing ❤️
The best art gallery around, Danika was so friendly and a credit to the company, she even offer to get the work we liked in the window out and hang it inside so we could look over it!! Very recommended

Got some lovely Paddington chinaware here a while ago and it made the most wonderful present and is used frequently. Staff were lovely and shop was dog friendly 🐕🦺 🐻🥰

I was really happy with the service I got today as I only needed a cardboard mount and the owner cut one for me without any problem. I’d definitely recommend his shop and will go there if I need any other framing done.

I recently purchased a frame for an odd sized, signed poster. I was satisfied with the service as they helped me choose a frame and a border, as well as explain to me how to look after the poster. The staff were also friendly.
I have used Nicole for 3 framed shirts over the last year or so, and all have been top quality finishes in a timely manner. She is an expert in her craft who will provide good suggestions and solutions as well as happily taking the time to bounce ideas around during the initial meeting. Would highly recommend to anyone needing a consistent, reliable framing service.
Nicole did a great job framing my tank print "alamein", provided great advice on different frame types and glass against the colour wall to ensure it was displayed to its full potential. Recommend to all!

This shop has some great products! A fantastic natural body and hair care range. As well as some good stuff for your insides; vitamins, teas and herbs. Then there's the gifts, greeting cards jewelery, crystals, books etc, and I mean ETC, there's much more more!

Great shop sells a whole range of goodies; from spiritual books, crystals, herbal teas, creams, and so very much more. The proprietor is helpful and knowledgeable about all that she sells.
Expressions is such a terrific place to go for your framing. Anyone in Saffron Walden or the broader Cambridge area, make a beeline there. Great service and very good value for their excellent quality of work

It was made clear to her that it was way too much trouble for the proprietor to consider and so she left the shop feeling somewhat embarrassed to have been made to feel so unwelcome. However we followed the other contributor’s advice, called ‘Art Effect’ who were extremely helpful and even offered to try to do it before Xmas if needed.

Franc was very friendly and helpful and stretched a canvas I had purchased onto stretcher bars and then mounted in a floating frame ready to hang. Quality and finishing was excellent and we are really pleased with it. Would highly recommend and will now use for all my future framing requirements. Thank you.
Great service! Paul did a beautiful job stretching a canvas for me, the frame was built professionally and the edges were very neat. Working on a tight deadline Paul was able to make the frame up very quickly. Would definitely recommend.

Nicole did a beautiful job framing a piece of my embroidery for an exhibition in London. During an initial consultation she provided expert advice on framing and material choices. Her advice to use the anti-reflective glass proved was invaluable when it came to how good my piece looked in situ. She was even good enough to work around ny schedule and fit the framing into a VERY tight deadline. The embroidery was displayed beautifully at the exhibition thanks to Nicole. I had an old map framed and the glass replaced in a series of pictures which had been damaged in transit sometime ago. The staff at Bridge Gallery are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The work they did for me was excellent, completed in good time and at a reasonable price. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

They are highly knowledgable with their artwork and the artists and this has helped me on a number of occasions when considering new art pieces. I don't know what trick the customers who gave 4+ reviews managed to pull off with the owner, but I shopped there 15 years ago as an art student, and he was miserable back then, and when I returned to Macc today he'd not changed a bit. I went in with my kids and looked around for a bit until he appeared in a doorway. I asked if he had brush pen refills and received the answer "No", followed by a protracted stare that seemed to say "So, what's your next move then, sonny?" After that he said that he had brush pens, but nobody had ever asked for a refill. Well, silly me and my continental ways. And with that we departed.

Great selection of art and sculpture. Ali the manager is lovely... very helpful and knowledgeable. Brett downstairs in the Framing Dept is a very patient and a creative person. We have purchased a number of artworks from Westover and had numerous picures framed... always delighted with the service.
My wife and I Have spent more than £2000 on framing and print purchases over recent years here. Today, my wife popped in to ask if they could cut a mount for an odd sized photo, to be met with nothing more than abuse. Nicole and Ian did a great job framing my wife's grandmother's paintings. I brought in 6 paintings and a poster and Nicole helped pick out some good frames. I was very impressed that they got the job done in about a week! Particularly for a very reasonable price. It would be useful if they opened just a little longer so that frames could be collected after work, although they do state on their website to just contact them if you can't pick up your items during their opening hours.
Nicole gave clear advice about framing requirements for three large prints. Her estimate for the work,including a recommendation for non-reflective glass was very competitive. The work was completed in good time and the finished products are excellent. Her work is of a very high standard with attention to detail, accuracy and an excellent professional finish. I recommend her unreservedly.

Excellent shop filled with a whole host of supplies. Spoke to the owner the day before going to check they had what I wanted, the gent was very helpful on the day talking me through how to use the 2 part epoxy and how it can be tooled. The price was very reasonable as well as on par with what I could've paid on Amazon.

I went to this shop earlier today to get some replacement glass for a frame, and the service I received was absolutely fantastic. The chap was very friendly, cut me a new glass pane straight away, and gave me a very fair price. Also, my frame had some marks on it and without me even asking, he showed me the best way to get them off. He went the extra mile so thought I should share my experience on here!
