Outstanding bar staff! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and valued. The service was prompt, and the staff's knowledge of drinks was impressive. Credit to Cara who went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time. The atmosphere was great, making it the perfect spot to watch the football and for a night out. Highly recommended!

Quirky pub, with plenty of TVs, showing champ league footie when we paid a visit. Walking distance from demontfort hall. Beer was good, food not so - had cheesy chips with chicken tenders, but the chicken was sparse!!

We were here for my friends hendoo on sat and omg what a night, staff where amazing especially Colin he looked after us all so well and made sure we had everything we needed for a fab night, there was live entertainment which was amazing got everyone up on their feet dancing and singing, the music in between sets was great too. Drinks where great and reasonably priced too. So if your looking far a good night out with great atmosphere and great music this is the place to be honestly it was brilliant.

Me and my daughter came through from Glasgow for a hen party on Saturday what an amazing night we had. Colin made sure we were all covered for drinks on arrival and continued to make sure we were all good throughout our night. Can’t fault the staff at all as everyone was so helpful and friendly. Live Music and atmosphere were fantastic kept us up on the dance floor all night. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back

Love this pub the staff the music
We visited Dropkick Murphys while on a Hen party in Edinburgh. Such a good atmosphere, staff were friendly and helpful. There was live music on and then a DJ. We had such a great time we went back the next night. Would definitely recommend a visit here, great spot for Hen party as a very friendly crowd.

Went to the chantry last night and ordered a pint, a single gin with lemonade and a lemonade by itself. First we got charged £29 which we paid! realising that it would mean on average a drink costing us around £10 which included a soft drink my boyfriend told the bar tender that it must be incorrect, we got a cash refund of £7. However this still means that we paid £22 for two alcoholic drinks and a soft drink. I see from a review that a pint is around £7 so I’m not sure how £15 can be for a single shot and two lemonades. The pint was warm and the other two drinks had more ice than drink. Unfortunately I feel like the staff are overcharging and pocketing the money, which if you’re drunk you wouldn’t notice and if you’re not a confrontational person you would just pay it. We used to go to the chantry all the time, but now it’s constantly dead/ empty, we left after 30 mins because with bars like tent around the corner it’s just not worth it.

Went in there for six nations with family as they have always raved about it. Was so busy was like being at the front of a gig. Can’t get to the bar, can’t get to the toilet, how is that legal. I get filling the place, but it has to be counter productive when people can’t spend their money. The bar staff were doing their best, but it’s not enough when they are so outnumbered and security were still letting people in. If police were there it would be closed down. Never experience anything like it.
Very welcoming venue with staff that go out of their way to accommodate wherever possible. Nice atmosphere, very friendly, good facilities, great drink selection, food is tasty & generously portioned.

Highly recommended!
For burgers, tasty fries, wings etc The Clarendon does very well. Tasty American style food mixed with sports (multiple matches at any onetime). Great atmosphere and the pool tables were a bonus (albeit the cues were a little past their best).

We popped in for a couple of drinks while visiting family.
Never been before as we normally go on the other side of the road.
The bar was noisy until we walked in and it went silent, the guys at the bar just stared, it was so uncomfortable so we left that bar and walked through the exit to another area. 😂
This was much larger with big leather sofas.
We enjoyed our drinks in here, we were the only 2 in there apart from a couple of young children who were playing pool and bat and ball games.
Not quite what we had envisaged but it was ok, wouldn't go back though.
Always a great night in the well!

Good vibe, a nice place to meet people and relax with a drink.
Went for a Saturday afternoon bottomless brunch, unfortunately all the reviews I read were amazing (4.6/5) but our experience didn't live up to those, not even close! Very average food served cold, and drinks were ok but not great cocktails and way too much soda water in everything we ordered. Decor isn't great and the TVs were set very loud on the F1 which we really didn't want to watch, but couldn't hear ourselves talk. Overall disappointing and won't return.
Great room for a party! Staff were very attentive and helpful. Very flexible with food options. Overall great party.
Had the most amazing bottomless brunch! Great drinks and food alongside amazing service by the wonderful Lynda. She was very attentive, making sure we always had a drink at hand and another to follow!

Nice pub. The food was great but a bit pricey although the portion size was big. I had chipotle loaded fries and couldn't eat them all.
Visited Friday evening for bottomless brunch and was greeted and served by Beth!
Beth was highly accommodating, friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable of the new menu.
I had 'Boss Benedict' and my sister had 'The little rebel' chicken burger. I rated 4 stars for the food as my egg was more runny than my personal preference.
The drinks where constantly flowing and was presented with cocktails that where full of flavour. This was worth the money paid for it. We where both impressed 👍🏼
I would highly recommend this place to everyone and hope to return soon.
Big shout for all the staff but the biggest one to Beth! She was a great host 🙌🏼
Thanks for a brilliant party! Highly recommended venue for any party or event.
-Very helpful and accommodating staff.
-Good communication in the run up to the event
-Attractive venue with good parking, disco lighting and integrated sound system you can play any songs on.
-Amazing food made to our menu request, and great bar with delicious cocktails.
-Bar and food staff polite and professional on the night
All of our guests had a great time!

Food was okay but nothing special and rather expensive for what it was. Service was reasonably quick but it was incredibly quiet when we visited, which probably isn’t a good sign on a Friday evening. The table was absolutely disgusting, so sticky that I didn’t want to put anything down or touch it. Wouldn’t bother visiting again.

Had a great time - place had a coat service. Live music and was jammed with people.
Think of this place as a club but with clean toilets and not deafening music.

Oh yeah be prepared to part the Red Sea like Jesus if you want to get to the toilets cause they’re right at the end of the hall opposite the stage.

P.S if you want to skip the huge lines get onto the Edinburgh Pubcrawl and ditch when you get here.

Just a classic pub with bought in food. 'Ultimate bought in burger' beef, buttermilk chicken, and beef brisket bbq. 13 quid, it filled a hole. You wouldn't take your family here for meal. Pint and food. Atmosphere was like the jockey 🏇.
We recently held my daughters christening party at the Brooklands Tap and it was honestly fantastic! From start to finish, Zanete listened to all our requests and was so accommodating. We went for the sandwich buffet and our guests were raving about it! It was delicious and very generous. They were amazing with my two gluten free guests and as it was a christening party, were so caring to the many small children we had.
The hired space is generous, beautifully decorated and super clean. I could not recommend it enough. We will definitely go there again for both a pint and for our next party.
Thank you Zanete, Gabby, Steve and all your great staff.

Walked in as a big party later in the evening, got greeted nicely by staff. We came just before kitchen was shut and we got served with a smile. When the food arrived, it was absolutely amazing! Pizzas, burgers, fish, chicken... everything spot on! We will definitely be back (a bit earlier next time)!
Hard to put more as it was just a flying visit for a coffee, girl behind the bar was sound and the UTD memorabilia is ace

We haven't been in here on a Sunday since before lockdown. So we just popped in for a Sunday dinner this afternoon and wasn't expecting what we got.
Fantastic big thick slices of tender roasted beef, plenty of veg, lovely roasted potatoes, a giant Yorkshire pudding and plenty of delicious gravy.
Highly recommend. A big Thank you to all the staff.😋😋😋😋

Lauren,
What can I say about Lauren. The service I received today was unparralleled with anything I've ever had in the past. She was friendly, enthusiastic and attentive to my needs. I had a bottomless brunch here and I can say it was the best bottomless brunch I've ever had. And I've had 3! The pizza was delicate with sweet aromas, but the service was even better. The drinks were strong and sweet, like I've never tasted before, but the service was better. My gin and tonic was orange like nothing I've ever had before.
I am so happy, and so satisfied with my visit here. But this would not have been the same without the service that has been provided by our dear Lauren! Thank you all so much

Nice , proper working man's pub
The food was delicious, as were the craft beers and ciders, but the cleanliness of the place left a bit to be desired. The music was too loud. It has good deals such as Wing Wednesdays and Tequila Tuesdays. I imagine it would be great for groups of friends looking to get drunk, but not appropriate for dates or other groups who want intimate conversations. The staff were polite. Table service would be nice.

My partner and I came to The Distillery for a bottomless brunch on a Sunday afternoon and it was great. The service we received was brilliant, Aaron was chatty and very friendly, made us feel super welcome. Also, Rita who made our drinks was lovely. Great selection of food and drinks. Staff were accommodating to my dietary needs.
They have plenty of TV’s for all the sport action so definitely can’t miss any big games. Highly recommend for a good couple of hours out with both family & friends ☺️
I booked a section of the bar for a surprise 60th birthday party and was not disappointed. From the prompt email correspondence regarding the booking to the actual night, it all ran so smoothly. The bar staff were great, especially Adam, who looked after us all evening. Thanks also to Linda, who dealt with our details during the day about what time the food and cake would come out. The kitchen staff laid on the most fantastic food, slider burgers, mini fish & chips, nachos, tacos, there was loads of it. So much, we gave a lot to some lovely grateful students! The atmosphere was just how I wanted it, chilled, relaxed and a great vibe. I'd recommend this place for any function any time. 10/10

This has to be one of the best places for one liners in Edinburgh. I've been twice now and the compere is world class. He's won the Dave award twice (a feat only done by Tim Vine!). The venue and amount of comedians they have are amazing and it's free to watch (please, if you can though give some money to keep it going!)

I will be back next year :-)

21/07/23: good venue, and although it looks like a Wacky Warehouse/run down pub from the outside, it was actually lovely inside. Good range of craft ales. Clean and open plan. Sadly, didn't really cater for dogs, albeit dog friendly as they have no dog bowls and couldn't improvise. Service was acceptable and it wasn't very busy. This was out pub stop 4 on the Huddersfield Ale Trail.

Only been here twice but such a great place drinks are decently priced vibe is great bar staff are amazing
I love this place, great place to stop by for a casual drink. But on Fridays the Karaoke and loud music is just too much… you can’t even have a conversation without shouting to the person next to you. Don’t need Karaoke on a Friday night, people just want to come and unwind/chat/relax/watch sport. Especially when there is no one actually going the karaoke and you just have music blaring.

Had the fried chicken wings, it was tasty and juicy. On Wednesdays they have offers for chicken wings.
It's a fun place to visit with group of friends and to have drinks.
Nice friendly pub with warm atmosphere but slightly irritating when you have people sat around bar by only pay point hogging the bar when trying to get served and get served before you whilst you've been waiting patiently

Very warm welcome and added bonus of the football game on the TV
Not one but three games on
The only way it could have been better would to have some form of food. Ie sandwich or chips. As a snack
Otherwise I would have given it more stars.
All fine, brought here via Untappd and they had done interesting keg beers. Service was efficient, venue was clean and atmosphere was welcoming. Good for sports and everything seemed organised and well managed.

Hadn't been in for a few years, went in recently to find it completely refurbed from before and a great atmosphere. Variety of music and drinks.
Family run pub, cheapest pints in town. Very well run, very clean, fantastic rear beer garden, heated and tellies.
Great for sports, a date or even a sing and dance on the weekend. All sprinkled with a touch of the Irish. Great pub.
Recently been done up in here, looks a lot brighter and spacious, really nice pub and very reasonable pricing. Pool table is a nice bonus as well. Would definitely recommend!

Situated in shenley leisure centre and pretty much lives up to it's name. There's a whole row of dartboards to play on along with a pool table in the corner. TV screens everywhere and plenty of seating so it's not difficult to catch the game. Not a wide range of drinks but it is a leisure centre bar.

Clean, has the sport on several TV's and the beer is reasonably priced, even if the selection is limited. Great if you want to catch the game with you friends and they are happy with kids coming in, but more of a local/warm up location than a good night out.
Great place for a gathering, to watch a football match (many, many TVs around the whole pub) or just have a few drinks. They have plenty of choices for beers, wines and ciders. And it is GREAT value for money. Good location for Chingford, Highams Park, and surrounding areas. Loved this lively, friendly and semi busy pub.

Came in for a drink and have received probably the worst service I have ever experienced from Debbie. I am generally wondering how she is able to work in a customer facing environment, I took this up with the manager and he also was clearly not very interested as debbie laughed in my face as I was talking to him too. This just shows what they value in customers and wouldn’t recommend for anyone to come on a day she is serving. I have been served before by another girl with short hair and a few other men, they were all lovely. It’s such a shame to have such a bad experience as it completely ruins me or any of my friends wanting to come to this place again. On top of that after speaking with a few other people, having a bad experience with Debbie isn’t the first encounter with me among people in the neighbourhood.
I used to be a regular at the Clarendon a couple of years ago and it was always a decent place for a good pint and interesting food. It was the sort if place that attracted a completely mixed crowd: students, business workers, hipsters, builders and parents.

I knew that it had changed hands and was a bit apprehensive. Even more so when I heard it's now owned by the same people who own Yates Wine Lodge and Slug & Lettuce.

Don't worry. It's good. They've redecorate, but not removed all the fantastic musician drawings. They've added their own character to the place, but not erased what made it a great place.

I've only been at lunchtime, and it wasn't busy, but it still had a good feel.

The barman (or manager) I chatted to was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer.

Great range of keg, cask & bottled beer. Interesting food menu.

Not too bright. Vintage consoles available. Sport on tv in a separate area and dogs are welcome.

If you are offered an upgrade to "angry chips", say yes. Don't ask, just say yes.

A wholehearted recommendation. Glad they didn't ruin the place. Now if they could just do something about Yates in Nottingham...
