Not a good experience for me: I booked a gutter cleaning with Aspect, and they charged me an extra £96 for material. Had to go back and forth for a refund which they did in the end. They also left plastic bag rubbish on the side walk, when they could have dispose it in the bins, or ask me where to leave them. It cost me £205 for gutter cleaning which is way more expensive than any other company charge in London. I am the only person to blame not reading Google reviews beforehand.

I had a leaky toilet and was enticed by Aspect's discount for booking online (10%).
Firstly the plumber was due to arrive between 0800-1200hrs. He arrived at 14:23hrs, with no contact from anyone and no apology from him.
He took one look at my toilet and asked for my WiFi password... because he needed to look up how to fix it on YouTube(!). I should have showed him the door there and then. He watched his tutorial video and proceeded to spend an hour trying to remove the toilet from the wall, whilst treating me to a chorus of expletives. Eventually he said he needed a part, but didn't have one with him and he'd need to go buy one and come back. This round trip took him over an hour. Cue another hour and a bit of expletives as he struggled to fit the new part, which he then described as "incorrect" and the toilet still leaked. He told me to buy the correct part myself online and call them back out (for a fee, obviously!) and they'd fit it. He did say he should be charging me an overtime rate, as he'd had to stay after 1700hrs - which would not have happened if he turned up on time in the first place!
I was then horrified to see I was charged for over 3 hours of work - including the period of over an hour when he went for a jolly to buy the incorrect part and his time viewing YouTube trying to work out what he was meant to be doing. I was also charged an added fee of £57.60 for the wrong part! I complained and received a half-hearted response that didn't even refer to most of the issues I raised. I responded to this almost a week ago, but have received no further correspondence.

This review is for the pest control service covering South East London.
Very disappointing overall. The pest controller that came was too laid back and after two visits, the rodent infestation was still present so I had to call another pest control company that dealt with this professionally, quickly and efficiently.
Also, dealing with the call center is an absolute nightmare. They never know what is going on, where the pest controller is and when they will arrive. For the second visit, despite a morning appointment booked, I kept having to call throughout the day to be told the pest controller had been delayed without any clearer ETA. Eventually mid-afternoon, after calling again (they never proactively call even when they say they will), I get told he has actually called in sick and hadn't been working at all that day.
So between a company very hard to deal and an unreliable and inefficient service, I can't recommend them.

Where do I start. £2000 they charged us for 3 hours work and ordering unauthorised materials. Disgusting service, absolute rip off. Customer service are dishonest and are always trying to screw you. We will be reporting them to trading standards. Avoid at all costs. I don’t know how they have any customers. We are having the same job done for 1/5th of the price with a great general contractor off check a trade. Much better to do that!!!

Having read other reviews about Aspect tradespeople unnecessarily dragging out their jobs to book as many hours as possible, I became sceptical and called Aspect before the appointment date, to cap the duration of work to no more than 2.5 hours (alas this actually turned out to be less wise than I thought).
The tradesman arrived just after 8:30AM (8:34AM) on the day for leak tests. He brought in his toolbox. Asked me for the location of the stopcock. He explained to me two different tests for leak detection; simple, holding pressure measurement using a pressure gauge; and/or inert gas test. I was informed then that a gas test is a full, 8-hour job with two technicians. I opted for the simple pressure gauge measurement as I wasn’t prepared for 16 person-hour payment of £1760 (plus VAT) at their £110 per hour rate.
He carried out visual inspections of wash basin pipes and washing machine pipes and commented that it wasn’t a very good job. He then explained that he needed two gauges to make the job quicker but he had only one gauge he said. He explained that he wouldn’t charge for the time he would take to run to a local Screwfix to grab one. He left the house at 9:15AM. After 1 hour, I called Aspect to ask about his whereabouts, the tradesman arrived back at my place at 10:45AM and reassured he wouldn’t charge me for the missing 1 hour and half and he explained that gauges were unavailable at 3 different stores and he only managed to get one at the 4th store he visited.
He connected one of the gauges to washing machine feed-in pipe and the other to the dishwasher feed-in pipe. We waited for 30 minutes to monitor the pressure movement. No movement detected at the washing machine feed. 11:15AM
Then he suggested a pressure gauge measurement for the radiator system. I agreed. He took the boiler central heating pressure to 3 bars and shut off the boiler water feed and 30 minutes later, no pressure change was noticed. 11:45AM (during the waiting time he had to move his van somewhere)
He then asked me to go upstairs to run the washing machine cycle for 20 minutes to make sure everything is ok with the washing machine. I complied but ran a quick rinse for 5 minutes. I told him it was all fine, to which he said, ‘that was quick’. 11:50AM. He started packing up and told me he would write his report for the job and issue his invoice to me on the spot whilst in the house, which lasted, as if by magic, until 12:30PM.
After he left, I checked the invoice and it didn’t have the initially agreed 15% discount, which I managed to have refunded on 1st June after chasing three times, 7 days after the initial chase.
I checked the report he had produced. It only contained pictures of start and end pressures of one gauge connected at the washing machine feed. No dishwasher feed pressure. No mention of radiator pipe pressure.
I feel that the job at a stretch could have been done within an hour. I speculate that perhaps they’re used to charging for a lot of hours because of some insurance contracts. In any case, I would not recommend this company to anyone I know. Please exercise caution if you’re paying for their service out of your own pocket.
This makes the total time he was on site, technically almost exactly two hours.

Just had a lovely fella, Mario, come to my place to replace some bathroom taps. His time in the building was minimal, the basin has been left clean, the bathroom left as he found it. Very polite, very professional. More than happy!

Absolutely shocking company to deal with. I booked upon assurances about the service from the sales team but the person they sent showed up earlier than what I had asked, saying I denied him access even though he spoke to husband who asked him if it was possible to defer to the time when I would be home as planned. I requested the time in my booking. He said he would speak to his "company" and disappeared. I was billed an hour of labour! I disputed this without any response from Aspect and fast forward 2 years and I receive an email threatening legal action for not paying. Dreadful service if you could call it that. Highly recommend to avoid!

Over the past 3 days we’ve had Rui over doing work at our property and WOWWW! This review is specifically for him because we honestly can’t thank him enough. He was so professional, a perfectionist and extremely hard working. He took care of all of our concerns with speed and precision. A big thing for me is timing and when I say he was here waiting at the gate 5 minutes before the scheduled time everyday! If we ever need anymore work done, I will definitely be personally requesting him. For context, we had several holes on the walls and chipping on the ceilings, as you can see everything is beautifully cleaned up and repainted. Thank you Rui & Optimal!

Websites makes it seem like everything is automated. Booked then did not receive any emails confirming if the booking was going ahead/a time. Called then told someone would be there at 3:30. Nobody arrived. Called again and they said we had requested the booking to be moved. They said someone would come and then again nobody turned up. Just Called for the third time to cancel. Feel like I've dodged a bullet. Joke of company with semi rude customer service staff.
Update: Called at 10pm to inform me the electrician was held up. Spoke to the electrician at 7pm and cancelled so no idea what's going on. Complete mess

Claudio and Edu replaced a leaking skylight as well as re-made my broken manifold cover (hard to describe this thing if you don't have one).
Neither was an easy job, the manifold cover had to be hand made on site and the skylight was on the highest point of my home.
Between an on site visit for a quote and the works starting hardly any time passed.
Both, Claudio and Edu worked very well as a team and very efficient. They were very easy to have in my home and pleasant. The work itself was outstanding, I no longer live with a constant fear of water damage!
Optimal, you are very lucky to have these two talented men on your staff.

Handyman disappeared on the job for 20minutes and took a total of 2.5 hours to put up 6 small shelves and tighten screws on an outdoor chair. Hanok also left holes in my wall, from where he couldn’t put up the shelves. I called the company to complain, no one returned my call and they charged my card for the 2.5hours. I will be disputing this further but it’s fair to say Aspect will not get any business from me again in the future.

Martin came round at short notice to prop up a fallen tree in my garden. He sorted the problem quickly and also fixed another couple of things in the house while he was here at no extra charge. I found him very helpful and have would highly recommend him and will also get him round again to do some more jobs.

Mick was outstanding, did a fantastic job of replacing my window, and I couldn't be happier. He was also very friendly and polite, easy to have around the house. He also ensured that he left the space clean and tidy before he left. Along with fixing our toilet seat that has been an ongoing issue in our household! I only wish that every maintainance person was as helpful as Mick!

A big thanks to Berto from Optimal. He came to our property following a leaking water pipe that caused a lot of damage. He worked incredibly hard to get the job done and finished it to a very high standard. He was highly considerate of our property and made sure he cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. Thanks also to the rest of the team involved especially Alex who diagnosed the leak and Stefano at HQ who went out of his way to facilitate the work being done as soon as possible. Excellent job done by the team.

God two internal doors fitted with Martin. Great job done. Perfect fitting of the doors and service was great. Very knowledgeable and listened to what I required from the job. Highly recommend.

Martin has done work for me on two occasions - hanging large pictures and some handyman work. i was really impressed by his attention to detail and genuine passion for the work he does. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Martin and intend to use him in the future.
