Nice place, activities are really good just make sure you book them (and any bikes) way before you arrive. They have a supermarket onsite but it is quite pricey compared to your normal supermarket prices. You can cancel and get a full refund on all activities right up to the start point, so if you can book in as much as you can if you're going over a peak period.
Very nice place to stay with a family. Take slippers to wear inside the cabine (or use flip-flops). Do not bring meat with you for Barbecue, unless you arrive after 4 pm. Otherwise, the meat will rot in the car until you could move in (after 4 pm). Better buy from their market
First time at a UK Centre parcs, brilliant experience, 4 days of swimming and various other activities definitely broke the children! They loved every minute of it.
So much to do, well worth taking bikes and scooters for getting around.
All the staff were super helpful and friendly, and all chalets and facilities are kept immaculately clean. Will be back for sure!
Great holiday, set in a forest. Red squirrels still can be spotted round here. Lots of wildlife comes right up to your villa door every day!

Car's are only allowed round the main area on moving days at certain times. So the rest of the time you don't have to worry about cars/roads.

Once you are inside the holiday park the prices of food is quite expensive. And every restaurant adds on their own "optional" tip however it's a pain to remove. I'm not a fan of how they force this.

The free included swimming is great.

Lots of activities for adults and children of all ages. Even babies.

Free wi-fi round most of the forest.

Always camped at maker heights before and this site I prefer. I didnt realize they did camping here. Campers are at the top away from everyone else, but near the facilities. Views amazing. Calm and peaceful. Sat in the bar all evening as it was pitch dark ( mid October camping) Had great meal and lovely breakfast. They are open all year and I will definitely return to camp during the autumn and spring.
Anyone thinking of buying a static, check out 'HOLIDAY PARK ACTION GROUP' on Facebook before spending your hard-earned money.
This is a fantastic family run caravan park, open all year round and lovely scenic walks.

Nice overnight stay in one of the lodges. Very comfortable bed - best I've slept in for a long time - and good shower/ toilet room. Breakfast at the Fort good too! Basically, as good, if not better, than a lot of hotels I've stayed. Only problem in location was wasn't facing the sea and a quite a distance down long, winding, one tract road!

Good touring site, not as luxurious as described on website. Decent, if sparing facilities, great views over whitsand bay, intriguing location in the middle of an old fort.
Had a fantastic family holiday here, everything was great and they'd get 5 stars, but the rip off prices, even the pick and mix is cinema prices. They don't charge this much in the centre parcs in France nor the one in Belgium, look it up that's a fact, rip off Britain in full force on display
A true hidden gem amazing views and well kept stunning site
We're in the Breckland apartments on the second floor with a balcony overlooking plenty of trees and greenery. The room is well equipped, clean, and tidy. Parking is right outside instead of in the main car park, which is more convenient. We have a kitchen and a lovely bathroom with a double sized shower. Center Parcs is as I remember it from some years ago. Great for outdoor activities and getting around on a bike, which most people do or walk. There are plenty of places to eat and drink too. It's a relaxing environment in the middle of a forest. This is the life!
Centre Parcs is getting dated with nothkng new in terms of activity or entertainment. Like what do they use the money on? The place looks tired and yet still so expensive. We paid £1499 during the school holidays.

Rooms were dirty. We got offered a voucher for dinner, but I suppose that’s it now… Centre Parcs is no longer an option for us to return. The money is better spent on a European vacation.

Oh and Centre Parcs in other Euro destinations are half the price.

Good bye for good!
Lovely stay. Celebrating a birthday and Anniversary.
The accommodation and surrounding were clean and great to see the Munjac deers.
The pool was lots if fun.
Cycling round was great as its fairly flat.
Restaurant especially the Pancake House was great. Really enjoyed by all. They even went that extra step as it was our Anniversary so thank you.

Will definitely recommend to others
A tranquil family getaway to nature, blended with activities for all ages. Cheaper than overseas holidays but still expensive for what it is. Typical accommodation is reasonable but most adults will struggle with the uncomfortable sofas and mattresses. Kitchens are equipped with essentials.

The site is designed to wring as much additional money out of each guest, with almost everything being an additional cost, and at a higher rate than is the norm.

Great for younger families but may lack more thrilling experiences for older teenagers.
Brilliant weekend spent with family including our 4 month old granddaughter. Perfect location with lots of wildlife coming to our door looking to be fed. Lots to do and everyone very friendly and helpful could of done with a few more days
Lovely place to chill out & relax.
Checking in & out days are a bit chaotic with all the cars moving about but once that's all done it's fine.
The swimming pool is fantastic & all the wildlife at your back door is amazing.
We come here every year with our girls and it just never disappoints. I think that when they look back on their childhoods, our Center Parcs holidays will be some of their happiest memories. The whole place is set up for families with kids in so many ways. The lodges are brilliant and the staff are always friendly and helpful. Special shout-out this year to Lucy, Ann and Sandra on the bakery who were super-helpfil when I was in a bit of a fix and always had smiles on their faces 😊
Best Holiday for family all time. All good, except the parking. They let you drop your stuff . But then you have to leave your car very far away from your Lodge. A shuttle.....no? If you have a bike,no problem....otherwise just walk.
What a venue. We've been staying at this Center Parcs for 15 years and have never been disappointed.
Service is dependably good. Chalets are roomy enough for two families of four. We stayed on the outside rim this time and there were plenty of deer, squirrels and birds on the patio.
So much to do. This time we booked Aerial Adventure (zipline over the lake), kayaking, adventure golf, badminton, hair braiding and pedalos. Definitely book in advance so you can plan. Same for restaurants, of which there is a variety.
Last few visits we utilised bike hire, which saves time and is fun too.

TL;DR
The best place to unwind and still have loads to do. Children will love it, mine certainly have, since toddlers to teens.
We stayed for 5 days with our 8 & 16 year old. Plenty of activities for all ages and for us to do as a family. The swimming pool is fantastic as is the play area. Food inside the complex is pricey so try to bring as much as you can with you. We ate out a couple of meals and they weren’t much more than normal although service not great! We especially loved the wildlife waiting for us every morning at the back door. Will be booking in next year!
We had a wonderful stay at Centre Parcs Elveden Forest! The whole place has a relaxing atmosphere, and you really do feel like you're away from 'it all'. The staff, especially, are so welcoming and friendly. Everyone we spoke to, or dealt with in the restaurants, shops, lodges were happy to help or go above just general customer service. So much so, that we joked it must be written into their contracts that that always have to be happy!
On the + side We all loved the place for its serenity & amenities.
On the not so great side was service in a couple of restaurants was poor (although the food was great) & everything been cashless made life unnecessarily hard with 3 kids that have been saving pocket money for months to have the freedom to get what they wanted without waiting on there parents (life lessons for the kids).

That all said, this is a beautiful place😊.
A lovely site. Beautifully laid out and managed. We have a lodge in this site. In the past we used to park our motorhome here.
Stopped just one night in motorhome on our way home from doing part of the N500.
Site is spotless showers first class. By the looks of it most of the caravans on site are long term.
I bit expensive.
The log cabin was clean, tidy and up to date. Very nice location, we were on the outskirts in Pine, which was only a five minute cycle away from the activity centre, which was accessed through some short cut paths. All the activities are a bit overpriced, and so is the food.
The worst thing about the place is, it’s only a mile or so away from an RAF base, and the noise from the fighter jets made you feel like you were in the latest Top Gun movie, it was that loud, it was like being at an airshow, they seem to start flying over 8 a.m. and even start their engines around 5 am which you can hear in the distance droning, not exactly relaxing.
Lots of animals, hopping around the place, squirrels, deer, ducks, etc… Which are super friendly because they’ve been fed by literally everyone there.
All in all a decent stay, which was spoilt by the noise.
Very nice clean site with friendly neighbours and lovely views over the lake
Great little spot for families to enjoy the seaside, stayed in our own caravan on a pitch so couldn't comment on the rooms.
Fab staff and facilties, lovely and clean toilet/shower area.
The swimming pool is fab! Had some trouble with getting into the place as had to go to reception for a ticket but after that the kids thoroughly enjoyed !
10/10 we will be back again :)
Lovely touring site. Paula and Sean friendly hard working wardens. Facilities immaculate. It was extremely hot whilst we were there and we were lucky to get a pitch with plenty of shade. Will definitely return.

Stunning location with great views over the cliff. The resort overall is nice tidy and the staff is friendly.
Maintenance comes every morning to check the hot tub.
There is a indoor swimming pool that is great for kids.
A part for their on site restaurant which needs some attention in terms of service all the rest is great.
We will be back.
Great place, stayed here for two nights. Lots to do, Blakemere village just off the site. Food and drinks, craft shops, bike hire, antique shops. Facilities on site spotless(best we've seen). Friendly helpful staff. We will definitely return.
Camped here 2 nights with my partner. Awesome place located on top of the cliff, that you have to walk down to reach the beach in 10 minutes. The owner and the staff are extremely kind, and he services are spot on! We will definitely be back!
A really peaceful place. We came for years and loved it so much we bought a caravan here. If you want a quiet base to visit Chester, Liverpool, Cheshire Oaks or surrounding areas I highly recommend The Ridgeway.
I really enjoyed the stay here, but the only reason I can't give 5* on my visit, was the fact that the pitch we was allocated literally felt on the top of each other, which I didn't know was permitted in legal terms. The caravan next to us was only about a maximum of 4mtrs to our side n the neighbours had no choice to put their car in that space, which ment I could almost touch their car when I opened our windows.
Having said that, the site was amazingly well tendered with a wonderful facility block and washing up area. Really did enjoy the stay, and believe if we had been on one of the other pitches there, it would have been 5* no problem
Absolutely stunning! From arriving to departure, everything was first class.
Extremely spacious pitches, very friendly staff. Clean facilities, with your own mini bathroom. Short walk to a wooded walk for the dogs. We are already planning our return trip. Thank you so much for such a relaxing bank holiday break.
We have a Seasonal pitch I like the fact its 12 months it give us a chance to use the van more than we would and only being 50 mins from home. Very well maintained site with excellent facilities always look forward to returning to our van.

Another great trip to The Fort.
The weather was kind and the staff as friendly and helpful as ever.
Facilities immaculate and the food and drink offered in the on site bar & restaurant were spot on.
Already looking forward to our next visit 😎

Arrived with out a booking looking to camp and take shelter from the bad weather, went to reception and was greeted with a smile. Was found a great pitch at a good price and told all about the facilities and where everything was located. When I pitched up the weather was misty but in the morning it was a lot brighter and the views are amazing form this site. There is a pool and bar and cafe lots on offer a hidden gem of a place to visit.
A beautiful tranquil setting, the residents were very friendly & welcoming.
We have had a seasonal pitch for six months and are really happy with the site. Very peaceful and well maintained and Annie and Steve are really pleasant and helpful. Good access to Holmes Chapel and Knutsford for shopping and lots of tourist attractions nearby. Would recommend if you’re looking for a seasonal pitch.
Pickmere Lake caravan park is a nice quiet holiday park.Private and lovely surroundings. The owners are nice also. The surrounding area and pickmere lake itself is picturesque.
Was followed by some creepy guy along the wagon way before the caravan park entrance. Some residents had noticed and helped us out.
We stayed here for 3 weeks due to house move delays. Nice clean well maintained site. Lake is very nice. The caravan was comfortable and clean. Mainly older people on site and most homes are owned so only really suitable if your looking for a quiet break
Been to The Ridgeway many times before and always find it clean, comfy, dog friendly and welcoming. Will be returning again next year for our relaxing break. Thankyou to the lovely owners.
Great camp site! Plenty to do on-site with blakemere village, and the playground is great for the kids.
Delamere is just down the road which has plenty of water based activity.
Will definitely be back here next year.
Well done blakemere
We recently stayed for 5 nights on this site. We arrived at 12pm no one in reception. Had to ring a number to be given instructions on how to access site and pitch up. Went back 3 times to pay no one there. The site was well kept although the showers weren't great. Water ran right up to shower door. No stool just hanging hooks so shoes got soaked. Had to get dressed in toilet. The site is about 3.5 miles from nearest shop they could do with selling basics on site. Bread milk etc.
Top class!! We were booked in for 3 nights ( Fri - Mon) and stayed in No 1 Lodge. The owner met us on arrival and was friendly and welcoming. The Lodge was stunning! Beautifully clean, well equipped, modern and comfortable. Everything was finished to a wonderful standard. Highly recommend a stay there. Park was so quiet, we had the best time
We loved the relaxing waterside views. Met with Mike the Manager who was very helpful.
enjoyed our stop. very easy to access, amenities very clean, plot 19 was well tended before arriving. phoned before travel was told could arrive after 11am and leave before 3pm. made life very relaxing on departure.
I have owned a place on this site for many years. We love it here and spend most of our time here . The owners are superb and go out of there way to make everyone happy they are constantly making changes to update the site and work very hard.
Sue makes this caravan park, what a lovely lady. The toilets and showers she cares for are immaculate. You couldn't fault them, squeaky clean. It was a pleasure to meet her and use the facilities. Good pitches trouble free water and electric. Beautiful birds singing. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Just arrived this morning, I can't believe how tranquil and peaceful this site is, so relaxing.
Well kept grounds and nice clean amenities,
Looking forward to exploring the local area for evening walks.

Edit:
I am so impressed with this site that I have already signed up for the 2023 season.
The site is constantly evolving and improving due to the constant hard work and investment by Mark the owner with the help of his dedicated wardens Bez and Pete.
The atmosphere on site is fantastic, so friendly and laid back.
Both my Wife and Myself love spending time here.
Here's to 2023!
Went there today with the fishing club.
Fishing was very hard, but a good place.
Plenty of big bream, some nice carp, but not today.
Daleford Manor Caravan Park is 12 stars to me and more! This really is a gem of a find situated in a lovely, idyllic area. The owners including Mark and his lovely Grandfather are really nice, helpful and down to earth. Jim, the maintenance man is really nice too. The people who you meet on site are all happy and friendly. I have made friends here and that's because we all feel the same. We are all delighted with this wonderful place. It's very peaceful here and all the facilities you need are onsite. This is a home from home to everyone here. The area is outstanding and there's 3 wonderful pubs and shops within walking distance. Here again, you will meet more friendly and happy people providing excellent customer service. More pubs, shops and leisure facilities etc are a short drive away. Come and check it out! You'll love it!
Can’t fault this site, beautifully presented and in a perfect location with access to everything we need. We were very well looked after by Mark who has helped us with any questions and was always around if you need anything.
It is full of very friendly people and is a clean and fresh layout which has recently been worked on.
Very happy and would recommend to everyone.
Thank you!
Most of the nice reviews relating to this place are from before the new owners took overThey have cut all the trees down and hedgerows, the birds and bats have all gone. The rent has gone up by a few hundred pounds each year and they are cramming as many vans on as they can. After paying for a pitch that we were happy with we were told we would have to move to another which we were not happy with. if you have a touring caravan on a seasonal pitch, you will be asked for £500 advance deposit in october for the following season which starts in april , no receipts or mention of it in terms and conditions One poor lady lost her husband suddenly, mark gave her £4500 for her static. It’s up for sale now for £30900
Lovely immaculately clean well equipped cabin in peaceful location close to Frodsham. Really dog friendly and lovely easy going owners. Thanks for lovely stay. Elaine & Andrew
Beautiful lake an easy bike ride away from Altrincham. Great for swimming when the sun's out and the water is a bit warmer..
Fantastic lake only limited parking so first come first serve. It's free launch for paddle board, dinghy and canoes etc.
Quite a few people AV there own caravans on this site I found out .but the lady we spoke to about taking a holiday there for a week .was very nice and helpful.three or four vans we had a choice of quite a good price .but the fishermen lodge was closed I think it's better to book after they open up again because it's a shame it's not open . shopping center not far away everything u need souper market Asda if I remember quite a lot of shops cafes worth a weeks there
awesome lake for outdoor swimming really clear and clean ...lovely for a walk too
We love it here. Never want to go back home to the hustle and bustle of daily life. So quite and peaceful.
Would not recommend buying a holiday home on this site very pretentious my parents ta had a holiday home on there for 20 years 5 years ago they bought on a brand new holiday home sadly my dad passed away just as it was brought on. At first the owners were very nice offering lots of help and support but slowly that turned into them being totally unfair with my Mum who spent lots of time there the owner made my mum feel very uncomfortable to the point of selling her holiday home.
Booked last minute, stayed in a lodge with patio.

Owner was so lovely and couldn't do enough for us, advising of local walks and parks in the area, plus access to Sandstone trail on site

Lodge was super clean with all amenities plus WiFi was great, never cut out which was a bonus.

Cannot wait to return 😊
Too busy. No social distancing.
Beautiful area to walk, great for dogs as can be let off the lead, not a challenging walk but very picturesque

We've had a lovely time, with great weather, helpful & friendly staff & an upgrade of caravan. Check before you book that you're not near a car park or barrier if you have little ones, as we were, initially, & it was noisy so we asked to move, hence the upgrade. The view is amazing & the playground is lovely & new.
Static caravan park. Nice site close to lovely river walks and fishing ponds. Very peaceful, interrupted by trains passing close by, but not too obtrusive. No clubhouse facilities on site, but it is well cared for and people are friendly. Play area for children. Access is via a rough potholed track from the village, or via two bridges across the river and another track with a steep approach to the site. 15 minutes walk up to the village with pubs, convenience store and a couple of working men's clubs.
Always a great place we visit every year. The owners are very welcoming and always go out of their way to help. Caravans and lodges spotless and I love the fact WiFi isn’t so easy to connect too so a bonus for us. This is a gem of a place for peace and quiet and to escape the hectic world we all live in. Will definitely be going back and staying for longer. We have 2 children and they enjoy it every time both are in their teens. A real chance to talk and be a family connected with old fashion values. Get a board game out or go for walks together this is a great place to do all that and more.
The park is beautifully located, although I didn't actually visit the park I was out with my dog walking past, I was bemused as to how they get caravans on there, never the less I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone, it's in a beautiful location with stunning views
We visited friends staying at the green house it was absolutely beautiful place to stay

Gorgeous little spot right on the flashes, close to town and a nice pub and restaurant on site too. Children's play area is in need of a revamp though
Funny this. They rang me to tell me my van was ready to collect when I was 8 miles away filling it up with diesel. I'd already collected it. Good job I got there early and not been hanging around waiting for their call.
I didnt walk, just sat in the car watching the birds on the river. Lovely place and wonderfully peaceful.
We have a caravan here and we really like the site .Pretty quiet out of the way place .but not far away from the village of moulton .And just a short drive away from Winsford and Northwich Love it!!!
A lovely, well presented park, really well located near enough for a day out in Chester. Peaceful surroundings and right on the Sandstone Trail, so a great place for a walk after Sunday lunch, although advisable to bring your wellies! The owners were lovely, gave us a warm welcome and we're full of useful information. Lodges are clean, kept up to date and well stocked. Laundry on site too which is very handy. This is our second visit and we shall be back next year for a third when the weather picks up. Thank you all and see you in July :)
