Leon used to be my go-to food on the go, but this is the fourth restaurant in as many weeks where the standards are awful.

It’s quiet, no queue, one other diner, and yet the tables are filthy and the food was cold. Service was warm & friendly, but I came for the food. Not sure I’ll come again.
Frizzante Proseccheria offers a taste of authentic Italy in Edinburgh. We were thoroughly impressed with the food. It was clear the ingredients were fresh and high-quality, and the dishes were prepared with care.

However, the service wasn't quite on par with the food. While it wasn't bad by any means, it wasn't exceptional either. A little more attentiveness from the waitstaff would have elevated the overall experience.

Overall, Frizzante Proseccheria is a good option for delicious Italian food. Just be prepared for service that might be average

I love Leon and I go there all the time, normally it’s really good and it’s my top choice. I want to comment because I feel like I’m being scammed. Yesterday, I went to Leon and ordered a meal with the service lady. She overcharged me. Normally, my meal deal is around £10-£11, and I usually use your self-checkout machine. But yesterday, I wanted to use cash, so I went to the till. I asked her if it was more expensive than usual, and it turned out she charged me for every single item instead of a meal. She said she couldn't change it because she already put the order into the system. I ended up being charged £3-£4 more. It's frustrating, and though I wanted to complain, there were other people waiting in the queue, so I decided against it. But the more I think about it, the more frustrated I get. I can't help but feel like it's a scam.
Wonderful little restaurant with incredible authentic Italian food. My girlfriend and I first visited three years ago and we recently visited again while in Edinburgh and went out of our way to return because the people, food, and atmosphere was so lovely and it was just as good again this time round, we will be back I'm sure on our next visit to Edinburgh. Great authentic pizza just like you'd see in Italy, high quality ingredients and an owner and staff who really care about the service they provide. We love Italy and it felt like we were back there for an evening!
Amazing authentic Italian in the heart of Edinburgh! We first came here 4 years ago on our first trip to Edinburgh and knew we’d be back when we got the chance! So when my partner booked us a trip to Edinburgh for my birthday we knew where to go! The food, service and atmosphere is all 10/10! The staff are all friendly, happy and accommodating, the food and drink are all well priced and freshly made! Much better than any Italian chain! Price is super competitive for the service and quality you receive!

Can’t wait to return next time we’re in Edinburgh!

I have been many times at Leon, they have a good standard of both the service, cleanliness and the food quality. I think the portions are just enough not to be hungry. A bit small put it in that way. The food and drink quality is always good

Bit into my chicken burger only for it to be pink, cold and slimy in texture, I strongly believe it was raw. Couldn’t stay to complain as had immediate train to catch. Cost me near £10.
We have had the most amazing valentines night out here. The vibes were amazing, the workers were very friendly and funny and made sure we felt comfortable. The food was delicious and not too expensive. Everything about this place is perfect and they also gave me a rose which added to the experience. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a dim lit romantic dinner. 😊

Trying out the Bhaji Wrap - one of the new veganuary dishes. Still to perfect a way of eating a wrap in a dignified manner and not dropping any of it. It’s a great addition to the Leon menu and at 458 kcal - what have you got to lose?
Small, grey mighty. Succulent, moist cakes with great texture albeit taste wise can be a hit or miss. Red Velvet was dreamy, Carrot cake is more like cinnamon cake.

Service is prompt and helpful.
Came here every morning during my stay in London. It was on the way from my Airb&b to the train station. Lovely and quick service for parties and coffee to go. We stayed for breakfast on our last morning!

The almond milk chai latte was my favorite! As well as the scones!
It was my first time eating at any Indian fine dining restaurant (always at Indian grab and go place), but I loved Indian food a lot especially biryani. As my friends know about it we decided to go to Mazala.

Restaurant ambiance is good, I am no one to judge but a lot of dolls hanging on the ceiling (part of their culture I assumed) so I decided not to deal with it. So five star for the ambiance.

Service was good for me. It’s above and beyond. I want to give the guy a 5 star, however, my two Nepali friends said that the server was too much for them, guiding them what too eat and if its enough or not. I have no idea with the food and the serving, my only concern was biryani.

So, food was great. Good actually! Everything came in with a very nice presentation, but in a little bit of portions/servings. (It’s London, i know everything is expensive) Please, tell your waiter to set an expectation that the £19 serving of biryani is not good for 2 people especially if the customer is a biryani lover or main focus to visit the restaurant it too eat biryani. It is just for 1 people. I had an expectation that it was a big serving until I saw it and got a bit disappointed. Garlic Nan was amazing.

We ordered some another kinds of food but I don’t know it exactly, just check it on the picture below.

As a whole experience in Mazala Zone Covent Garden, it was good and fantastic, but a little bit disappointed with my biryani and the service according to my friends.

Still, will definitely coming back to this restaurant with my family and friends. Restaurant is surely recommended to friends.
Everything was extremely delicious! My order was perfect, the classical brunch with toast, two eggs and avocado, the only down part was the drink which hasn’t a strong taste. The other order was good as well, but not what she was expecting cause it was plain toast with tomatoes and pepper. Her matcha latte was great tho!
I give only four star cause the waitress we had was yes formal, but not very pleasant. Besides that it’s a five star category!
Masala Zone is a cozy Indian restaurant located in the heart of Covent Garden. With dozens of servers ready to satisfy each and every desire, what will leave you surprised is the amount of knowledge transferred and the availability of staff. Poomi, our waitress, offered us a comprehensive Indian history and culinary lesson, bringing the food to life.
Definitely worth visiting!

Couldn’t fault the food or the friendly service at Frizzante. We were in Edinburgh for the weekend and came across this little gem of a restaurant by chance.
There’s a homely, family feeling and the food was superb.
We will be back.

A no-frills, honest-to-goodness Indian restaurant that sells Indian food that tastes like it came straight out of Asia. As a Singaporean, this is the closest Indian food in Britain has gotten to tasting like back home for me. It’s spicy, not too sweet, and bursting with flavour. The thali is amazing. The service was prompt and attentive. The atmosphere was gorgeously decorated.

Been there with family and friends a few times. Beautiful unique deco. Always had yummy food, well presented, .All items were cooked with great care and perfection. Service staff were very efficient and polite.
The coffee and walnut cake is delicious. The chamomile tea is huge, I had enough for 3 full cups! The only bad thing is that it is not very cheap, but if you stay at "Charlotte house" they make 25% discount before 9 am
The atmosphere in here felt very cozy and warm, especially considering that it was very cold outside. All the food that was on display looked absolutely delicious, especially the brownies and the cupcakes. The food on the menu is quite pricey however i’m sure it is very good. I had a hot chocolate and a brownie which were absolutely delicious. The brownie was a perfect texture and was one of the best i’ve ever tried. The service was very friendly and quick, which can usually be a problem in a busy cafe like this. I would absolutely love to come again.

Had a lovely dinner here before going to the theatre. Was busy and a nice atmosphere. The service is slow and you have to get attention of waiting staff often to get your order in, the table next to me were clearly waiting a while before we arrived and no one had come over to ask about drinks or anything. Only because I kept calling the staff over was I able to order drinks and then food whilst table next to me still waited. The starter and dessert were amazing but the main was disappointing as it didn’t have that flavour combination expected in a curry and didn’t pack a punch. The naan was also lack lustre. Ok but not the good stuff that you get when it’s freshly cooked. Overall I would probably not go back just because I love Indian food and the mains let it down, and for the price point the presentation and flavour were lacking. The gulab Jamon and masala chai were really good though. I’d probably give food 3.5/5 stars as the desert and starter were good.
We had a lovely meal here Friday. Got the last table as a walk in. The food was beautifully presented and tasted divine. We had beautiful starters and then thalis on my recommendation. Everything was very good indeed and we all had a taste of everything ordered.
The staff were very friendly and attentive but not intrusive.
The retaurant is lovely too, decorated with Rajastani puppets and old decorative doors.

Ordered the peanut satay chicken & rice box w/ double chicken. This the type of food to heal your soul. I’ve never had such a gorgeous peanut satay in my life. Immaculate taste and texture. The food was so good I decided to take the time to sign in and actually make review, which I never do. 10/10, major props to the chefs.
Masala Zone is an Indian eatery with a colorful decor and several locations in London. Ate at the Covent Garden location, conveniently located close to shops and a few tube stations. The lunch menu offers meat, fish and vegetarian options as well as bowls. We ordered each an entree and shared a papadum appetizer. The portions are generous and the taste delicious. The atmosphere is vibrant and the service top notch. Highly recommend for an authentic Indian dining experience.
Regrettably, our visit fell short of expectations. Despite the Cappuccino and Cinnamon French Toast being nice, the rest was all poor. The pancakes were undercooked, and the 'Nutella' was more of a runny hazelnut sauce, not the anticipated spread. Even the Choka Chocolate Shake arrived at room temperature, despite efforts to remedy it by giving me a glass of ice cubes to make it colder. Although the staff removed the pancake charge, the compensation felt inadequate for the overall experience's disappointment. A gesture more commensurate with the lapses in quality, such as waiving the entire bill of £22, would have been more fitting. Consequently, the underwhelming experience makes it unlikely for us to revisit, especially with other establishments offering consistently higher standards.

5 stars for serving healthy and sustainable food. Enjoyed breakfast while waiting for our train. Glad to see clean ingredients in their sourdough muffin sandwiches and porridge. Food nowadays is full of additives and ultra processed. I am glad LEON is moving away from that to create a healthier food environment.
Happy that they encourage reusable cup use by giving a 45p discount for customers who order with one. Would be a bonus if they promote recycling in store.

I often visit here. Both to sit in or take away. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Service is always quick. The food is freshly and home cooked. It is above the average cafe food quality so good to take friends to. I've had sandwiches, salmon and cream cheese on sort bread toast to name afew. Today I had the homemade sweet potato soup which was delicious. It had a little spice which made it ideal on this cold day. I definitely recommend this Café bar.

Started coming here recently and treated my mum to a tapas lunch on Monday. The tapas was excellent value for money and the staff in milo lounge are always really friendly. I am craving the plates so bad! Honey feta, buffalo wings and quesadillas. Can’t pick a favourite! Amazing!!!!
Handsome bar men too 😂😂😂
I cannot recommend the bakery enough. What an experience! What I now know after visiting:the brunch options are varied, delicious and accommodate all restrictions (I’m a gf and df girlie). Thé lattes were the size of my hand and silky. The takeaway baked goods were eaten before I could remember to take a picture (straight up delectable)! My advice: book a table in advance reduce wait, get a latte or cheeky Prosecco, order whatever brunch items the heart desires.. savoury, sweet or BOTH, and finish with some takeaway baked goods/pastries (the loafs and cupcakes to which I am partial towards). Then try to save the baked goods, I lasted 4 minutes x
I have been a promoter of Leon to my friends and colleagues for many years but I think we are done now.
Overpriced
Misleading on sustainability: try to use it as a selling point whilst keeping the door open constantly with the Aircon/heating running
Subpar service: very quick at cashing in but not so fast for delivering and incapable of processing a refund.
As a walk-in family of 4 we were given a high table as all normal height tables were booked. This was not really a problem, the atmosphere, decor and vibe was amazing. The food came promptly, the poppadoms were so tasty even without any pickles on. My wife's chicken casserole had a slightly strange aftertaste that wasn't to our liking. My daughters butter chicken although delicious was too spicy for her but some yoghurt calmed it down. My lamb stew was truly outstanding as a flavourful experience, my only gripe was too bits of fat and grisle but the lamb that was there so truly melt in your mouth stuff. I would 100% return but make some requests when ordering next time. The staff, and there were lots of them, were attentive and efficient. All in all a very pleasant experience.

We had an outstanding experience here! Our server Maisha was very friendly and on top of it! She asked what our allergies were (lactose intolerant) and handed us a dairy free menu which I thought was super accommodating for a restaurant to have. It took the pressure off us having to ask the server a bunch of times what was dairy free or not. We ordered many things, all of which were great, but the prawns, rabbit dumplings, softshell crab, and crunchy okra were the main highlights that left a lasting impression. The cocktails were also delicious! I forget the names of them but one had tequila, guava, and chili and the other had rum, ginger, and coconut foam. We had such a good time I don’t even want to mention this but the only thing we didn’t like was the vegan brownie. The sizzling chocolate presentation was really cool but to me and my girlfriend it had no flavor. That’s an easy fix and overall it was still a 5 star experience!

Great Indo-Chinese food!
Their menu is very diverse and includes something for every taste. The fried spinach appetizer and the brownie desert were particularly decadent, the soft shelled crab dish is very delicious and innovative.
The fried okra is also a great way to start, specially if you’re vegan.
The cocktails were perfectly adequate and the ambiance was nice.
The high tables were a little uncomfortable though.

The pies are good, everything else average. Staff fairly disinterested, but not unfriendly, the sort of place where they sweep and mop around your table to let you know they are ready to go home. Portions a bit mean, especially mash potato, gravy tepid (that's happened twice). Classic example of what can happen in poorly managed restaurants where the owner isn't involved. And there's never more than 3 or 4 other people so the atmosphere is not there.
I will always visit this restaurant when in Edinburgh and it really is fantastic. The staff are very friendly and entertaining. I've had a variety of different meals which have all been good. Look out for the specials on the chalkboard. I do feel they can rush you in and out a little by quite literally taking plates away before everyone has finished. This could just be efficiency though and it will not stop me going back again.
Yummy place to eat your breakfast or lunch. Menu was extensive with calculated calories, selection of vegan positions and many instructions. From pros, good quality of food and waiting time. Tremendous choice of sweets and cakes. Otherwise the coffee seemed to be just a little bit watery. Either way, place worth recommending.

After having had MANY of their cook at home pies, I finally got myself down to their restaurant and it did not disappoint! The service was quick and super friendly and the food was flavourful and delicious. They have their own amazing spicy ketchup, I also recommend trying the ginger mocktail!
Had an absolutely amazing meal last night, Linguine, clams, white wine and cream sauce, black ravioli stuffed with scallop and king prawn with a spicy tomato sauce , and of course had to have Tiramisu and Cannoli for dessert. All served by Pasquale and his lovely staff in a great friendly atmosphere. Pasquale took time out to sit and chat with us. Will define back .

A favourite following a walk sound Sefton Park.

There was a queue so we decided to have a mooch up and down Lark Lane. Upon our return - no queue!

Milo Lounge is Dog friendly and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Service is great and we were served quickly.

Being health conscious I had to find a dish that had low saturated fat (too many chicken wings and cheese of late!) and I narrowed my choice down to the Meze Salad or the Mexican Superbowl.

Mexican Superbowl won. Healthy, low calorie, filling and loads of flavours! Winner!

We also got the Lamb Flatbread and the kids Fish and Chips.

Feedback was the Lamb was delicious. Only negative comment was the Fish Fingers Batter was too crunchy however I tried the fish inside and its was really nice. I think this was just my son being awkward.

Average price and nice food 👌

Went for lunch with my friends. Food can be ordered via app or at the bar. There is a massive sign at the entrabce yet not niticed it 😊 Food was of a good quality it was very busy so we had to ask again for coffe to be brought to the table. Atmosphere was good but not the best place for someone who is noise sensitive. Would definately come back.
I asked a staff member if Korean chicken wrap contains dairy. She said it doesn't.
I felt she wasn't confident so I asked if she could check. Turned out it did.
It could have been really dangerous for me if I ate this meal because the staff has misinformed me.
I suggest you prioritise allergen training for any new staff.
Manager (?) checked the ingredients and then just handed me the allergen booklet to pick something dairy free. I expected such gross misconduct to at least support me with ordering.

When a staff member handed me my dairy-free order she said she included a bottle of water. I appreciate that it was a sweet "sorry" gesture, but I have water in the office and avoid plastic bottles to reduce impact on the climate.

Not well handled at all.

This place has become so stingy. Not only was it £5.50 for an orange juice (and it wasn't even a pint of), but I ordered some fries and got this measly handful. Fed up of places being so tight. It's boring. Shame, I used to like Milo.

Fantastic dinner at Fatt Pundit!
My local friend recommended the place and we all loved it so much!
Clayton, our waiter, was super attentive and took great care of us.
The idea for eating here is to share like tapas, therefore most dishes are small aka share-size. It was fun to try so many different dishes. Everything we orders was so so good!!
Especially the crackling spinach blew our minds! We reordered it because we literally inhaled it in a second.
Can’t wait to go back 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I ordered the lentil masala which was delivered promptly (within 5 mins). The meal itself tasted quite nice although I didn't like the pieces of kale in between. However after the meal I had some discomfort and this was the only meal I had which was different to what I normally have... The meal itself was served hot and was cooked well. The price was £5.99 and had enough food.

Our first night in Bristol and we were just wanting something easy and comforting to eat nearby. Absolutely delicious pies; perfectly crisp pastry outer with a delicious filling. I had the Moo pie and my friend had the Moo and blue which she said was perfect balance of beef to blue cheese. The mash was creamy and the gravy just the right consistency. They also do 2 for 1 cocktails which were great. Eating this “carribean curry rice” is like chewing a seat cushion of the victoria line that hasn’t been cleaned since they were manufactured in 2009, even though I haven’t tried it personally. The price for the rice box wasn’t even good. Having paper bags is quite environmentally unfriendly if they issue one to every single customer. Service was quick, but at what cost? Some types of food make your day, others ruin it, and this is sadly one of the latter…

We had English breakfast at milo lounge today! The food was ok ( would like to try some other dishes to give a proper food review - was like an average English breakfast nothing exceptional- egg yolk was over cooked ) - but for us what might make the whole experience better is service, while there were no issues and no real complaints ( credit where due staff was accommodating as they swapped mushrooms with black pudding for us on the breakfast) I do feel there is a missing trick here - while I appreciate how busy it can be on a Sunday a little smile on all staffs faces would go a long way and things just become easier - whether its waiting to get a table or waiting for your order!

There are tons of options if you have allergies too, and it does not sacrifice any flavor or meal options. This has been amazing on this trip. I wish the US could be more allergy friendly, like the restaurants in the UK are. The staff was so friendly and kind. I'll definitely come back the next time I visit Edinburgh!

Got the vegan sausage muffin for breakfast. The muffin was a bit dry. The vegan double chocolate cookie was excellent. Staff are friendly and it is a quaint place.
We were on a family trip to UK and spent a day in Edinburgh. We love Italian food, our daughter's favourite dish is lasagne. We were so happy we went to Frizzante for lunch. It is the best Italian food we had! Every dish was so delicious. The service is also great. It is a family run restaurant. The very nice waitress turned out to be the co-owner of the restaurant. We arrived late and were the last guests in the restaurant, but we didn't feel being rushed to order. She actually came to chit-chat with us after we finished our meal and gave us sightseeing tips. We will definitely return to this restaurant when we go to Edinburgh next time and we strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food!

This is a lovely place to get some drinks/food and chill with friends. They have a selection of brunch dishes, burgers, tapas, mains, etc.

The atmosphere is very nice and it's kinda vintage. I loved the decoration and they have some sofas where you can relax.

We ordered:

A glass of wine + Lounge bacon cheeseburger = £15.90
Hummus + Fresh orange juice = around 9£
Raspberry lemonade. Around £7

Another Lounge, another great meal. Tidy and clean place. Busy but not overcrowded. Very friendly staff. All day breakfast again, and was as good as I have come to expect from a Lounge. Much bigger than it looks from the outside. Recommended

One of my favorite places to go to in Westbourne. It's super cosy and the staff are really attentive and friendly! Every time we've ordered food, the dishes have been incredible. I'd recommend the tapas, steak frites, chicken noodles and the bacon & avocado salad.
If you're looking for an exceptional meze experience, look no further than this restaurant! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the menu is packed with a range of mouthwatering dishes. From the creamy hummus to the tangy tzatziki, every meze plate we tried was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly executed. I would highly recommend to anyone who loves Mediterranean cuisine.

Not 5 stars but close. We had a great time and isn't that the point! However, the food could have been better. My GF burger bun was rock hard. Probably should have sent it back. But the rest of the meal was great. We would definitely recommend the Circo Lounge and will go back so should be 5 stars. It's just the food really. Atmosphere is busy. Not lively but busy with a light buzz. Nice. Give this place a try. They have a Gluten Free menu too. What's not to like.

This Pieminister restaurant was much less busy than other ones of the same chain in Bristol on Saturday lunch time. Concept of a burger joint adapted to the UK market with main dish - pies. Great variety and “adaptability” of the dishes, many options to choose from, however for the first time visitors the menu could be slightly overwhelming. I particularly enjoyed the fact how many vegetarian and vegan options were provided, also vegan gravy was delicious. Many options I would describe as a “classic dish with modern take” Overall, is a good place for lunch, service is super quick, friendly staff.

Always a great time at SQ. Regularly visit with work and a group of students - the staff are always patient and friendly. Really good coffee - best chai latte in Stockport! Food is always good too from all day breakfasts to jacket potatoes and paninis. Cosy setting!

My new favourite coffee and food place in Stockport!!
(I remember this place from years and years ago, when it was a tasty and characterful Pierre Victoire French restaurant for a while!!)
The old, original building has a very high ceiling - was it an old bank, originally??
Now, with original cast-iron radiators, some sofas, but otherwise clean, modern café tables and chairs.
A tidy, very reasonably priced brunch, salads and sandwich/soup menu, and coffees, shakes, etc.
Beautiful views out to the square with an old church building and clock tower.
On a sunny day, blue skies and nothing like Merseyway shops!! which is a real haven, in Stockport.
Close to the covered market.
The all day breakfast is so fresh and tasty! - proper bacon, tasty sausages and sourdough toast!! My companion had the Eggs Royale (poached eggs with smoked salmon) - which he said was also very good, fresh and well prepared/presented.
Good, tasty "Grumpy Mule" coffees!!
A hidden gem!! Deserves to flourish, despite its off-the-beaten-track location...!
Go if you can!!
We will be back, a.s.a.p.!!!
Great friendly service, from front of house and from cooking staff :)
Thank you :)

Popped in before a walking tour. Staff were helpful but a little quite. Enjoyed the Jerk Chicken Mezze and Baked fries. Hubby had a Korean chicken burger. Food was tasty nicely spiced hot and reasonably priced. We would recommend a visit.
My husband order chicken burger and it was raw. But then the stuff didn't care, and we want a refund and they said ok, but they didn't.
Why they have the excuse that the chicken was correct, excuses.
I like Leon, but not sure more.

Came to visit this dog friendly cafe after looking at reviews on Google and we're so glad we did. Located on the popular Lark lane, the atmosphere was cosy and warming even while busy. Love the outside inviting look as well as the inside rustic feel.

Food was amazing and cooked so well and appetising. We couldn't wait to dig in! They had menus catered for everyone both vegan and GF options.
I'd recommend if you visit Liverpool to visit Milos for comfort away from home.

Food - 5*
Vibes - 5*
Price - 5*

Having previously been to a ‘lounge’ I had high hopes and I certainly wasn’t disappointed!

Lovely food, very pleasant staff & reasonably priced. Love the gluten free options available, it’s nice to see such a wide range for once! Will certainly be returning in the future
