Saw Peter Pan the musical, what a great show and experience, our 2 granddaughters loved and sat enthralled with the the show. A great historical venue.
Great place for shows. Great view for us in centre. Young actors are amazing. Brilliant every year.
Amazing night at the Alex as always. Watched The Bodyguard for my birthday. Phenomenal performance.
We had stalls this time and a great view
I finally made it here after missing out 17 years ago. We booked a tour and even my 11 and 13 year old thoroughly enjoyed it and we were pleasantly surprised to get to see some rehearsal of a play! Arrive early enough to explore the historical walk inside and don't forget to check out the gift shop. Next time we are in London we hope to catch a performance.
Went to see the bodyguard. Wow superb. From start to finish, I could watch it all over again.
But I have to say a huge thank you to the theatre staff. Particularly Andy who assisted myself and my daughter from the moment we arrived and then checked on us to make sure all was OK. Thanks Andy you made it even more memorable.
Well what can I say about this beautiful old theatre it's just fantastic we went to see the bodyguard musical on the 11-12-2023 at 7:30pm which I highly recommend people to see especially at the Alexandra theatre everyone involved with the bodyguard musical performance did a brilliant job it really is a top class show that together with this beautiful theatre setting you really are in for a real treat keep up the good work everyone we will definitely be back and to everyone from the bodyguard production it's a fantastic show you all did an amazing job you are all very talented I wish all the staff at the Alexandra and everyone involved with the bodyguard production all the very best for the future thank you all again for a great night.
Watched Hansel and Gretal, 1st night. No rain and sat under the covers with cushions. Great atmosphere. Contemporary play and was expecting a more traditional play. Not always easy to hear. The Narrator was the best and he was covering due to staff illness. Dressed warmly. A fun night and a lovely first visit.

Great theatre, only drawback is you're not allowed to take drinks into the theatre. A bit backwards. Only theatre I know that has this rule. Ridiculous even the symphony hall Birmingham allows drinks. Come on Malvern. Sort it out.
This is an amazing historical building. The play we saw was very well done and it was truly a magical experience to see one of Shakespeare’s plays in the Globe Theater. We saw a performance of King John. The actors did a very good job. The seats we had were on the balcony and we had a great view of the whole production.

The improvement and decor look great now, liked the approach outside. Still a tad small in the bar area when both Forum and Festival shows are happening. When was the last time there was a fire drill? Scary.

had a great night in the company of Angela Barnes and her support, the staff were great, very friendly and helpful, it was very wet and miserable night and I was soaked when I got there, it's a shame the heating wasn't on because I don't think I was the only one that was cold, but that aside I had a very positive experience there and look forward to booking to see more comedy acts that go there
Easy to book tickets online. Helpful staff. Great shows. I had taken a standing ticket for Midsummer Nights Dream. Good visibility from standing area and comfortable. Staff were handing out paper caps to protect us from sunlight. It is an outdoors theatre so come hydrated and wear sunscreen! Only so called problem would be the somewhat expensive gift shop. Wound up not getting anything.

Love Malvern theatre. Beautiful. Stalls are very comfy, nice seats friendly staff.
However, two cokes and a twix 9 pound !! The lady and gentleman sat next to us had brought a flask. I can see why.

A great theatre with such amazing set and a fantastic show!
I would recommend trying to get stall seats towards the front if you are going to see Back to the Future the musical. It feels like you’re in the show, but it may be quite loud at times. The legroom was very spacious and the seats were quite comfortable.

We had the most amazing time watching Back to the future the musical at the Adelphi Theatre. We loved the whole decoration and set up of the whole theatre. The show was out of this world the acting and singing was fantastic but the actual screen work, pyrotechnics and sets were outstanding. Definitely reccommend we took our 5 and 9 year old and they loved every minute 😍
What can I say about this place! Amazing theatre with a rich history and absolutely stunning performances. Watched 4 plays already - Julius Caesar, Midsummer night’s dream, Macbeth and As you like it. All the plays had an amazing cast, amazing costumes and were beautifully played. Love the yard standing area - I think it’s the best way to watch Shakespeare plays at the Globe. Just £5 tickets and you feel like being part of the play rather than in the audience, with all action happening around you. It’s one of the things only London can offer and I recommend watching a play here for anyone visiting London! Book your tickets in advance on the Globe website as the yard tickets generally sell out very quickly. Also it’s open air, so do dress for the weather!

Having watched Back To The Future: The Musical at the Adelphi Theatre on October 5th, 2023, I must say it was an excellent production that skillfully brought back waves of nostalgic memories. The cast delivered outstanding performances, and the story closely followed the beloved film, incorporating all the pivotal scenes. While I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, I left the theater thoroughly impressed and far from disappointed.

Our guide (Gerald) was EXEMPLARY~!~! He provided such personalized and intimate communication of all sorts of information about the Globe. He included historical memorabilia, personable anecdotes, funny stories, and interacted quite well with the audience. The theater came to life via his presentation, and allowed an insider's look at the entire venue. Highly recommended.

Loved it. Modern twist on Shakespeare. We saw As You Like It. Do not expect to understand the costumes.. but it makes it all the more appealing. Great audience interaction and free apples! Had a great time... Booked Macbeth for the next week!

Lovely building, wasn't aware of how old it is, so there's no lift. Was quite a hefty walk up to the balcony, many many steps. It meant I had to take a few stops on the way up!

Staff at box office and bar were lovely, really welcoming. Brilliant show! Only downside was, the man at the door. Not sure if he was security, but he was quite abrupt and miserable.
First time for us visiting the Adelphi when we came to London for a short break, and we went to see the amazing back to the future. The venue in its current form dates back to the 1930s with an art deco style. The outside exterior isn't overly elaborate or huge, but it has a lovely entrance to the lobby. The theatre hall is compact/small in regards to space and seating, if you are tall or well built you could find the seats a little restricted in leg and arm room, however this is to be expected for the age of the building. Which adds to the experience rather than takes away for it with a seating capacity of around 1400. We sat in the middle of the dress circle and had a good view of the stage with very few issues of visibility during the course of the musical. The staff were all friendly and helpful with bars for refreshments available before and during the interval. The upper toilets were small, but again, this was probably due to available space within the structure. As for the musical itself, BTTF, it was amazing! The stage was decorated brilliantly to get you into the feel of being immersed into the story straight away. The music pit added to the amazing sound during the show and the stage set production was first class. With a front screen coming down at times to create some breathing taking effects as the delorian moved gracefully around the stage to produce jaw dropping moments that had us all on our feet at the end to give the cast a well deserved standing ovation. Couldn't recommend enough, catch it while you can.

Took 10 months to sort out a problem I had with them, but that's the admin staff. The actual premises is great. Went to see Adrian Bliss and had a great time. The theatres are really intimate, so you're up close and personal with whoever is performing. Reasonable prices if you're drinking non-alcoholic drinks too, so win win for me.

I went to see Back to the Future The Musical. An absolutely amazing show for people of all ages. Brilliant version of the original 80s classic movie. The film that you want to see very well recreated, plus some new and funny additions plus loads of music and dance to boot. Cast and musicians were fantastic and stage production and effects are amazing. Well worth going and great value for money.
Just been for a theatre tour and that was so interesting. What a lovely original theatre. Have to mention our two lovely tour guides. They were so warm and friendly and made the theatre come Alive thank you
Great comedy sets, diverse lineup, helpful staff, and a truly lively environment! Can’t wait to visit again :)

Went to see BTTF the musical on 21/Aug/2023.
First of all I was seriously impressed with the cleanliness of the theatre and the staff were friendly. Next was the leg room and comfort of the seats. I'm 6ft 5 and was worried about the legroom, but sitting in the stalls, row G, seat 34, I couldn't have picked a better seat. The view was fantastic, just couldn't see the full of the left hand side of the stage but could see everything else which, it seemed like all the action was happening from anyway.
The set pieces were incredible and seriously detailed. But, where it really gets the 5* is the performance from the cast. Unreal show, great humour and amazing sound of the band and vocals of cast. For a person who doesn't really do musicals but is a big back to the future fan, this was an amazing day out for me.
I work at the Nottingham playhouse and it's a beautiful building. Panto is my favourite time of year.

Wow - honestly one of the best things I’ve ever seen. A masterpiece and something that will live long in the memory. If you are a fan of the movie you have to see this show. The actors, the music, the lighting, the amazing special effects and the superb finale (you will need to see it to believe it) made this a truly spectacular event. It was true to the original movie but had some excellent comedic moments to make the time go so quickly. This was the first musical I’ve ever seen and I couldn’t have picked a better one.

As for the theatre itself, it’s big enough that it can accommodate a lot of people but at times it can feel distant especially from the dress circle. The staff are very pleasant and friendly. The seats were comfortable but the legroom could be better. Seriously - you should not miss out on this show.
Great experience. We came and watched Midsummer Night's Dream after being inspired to do so during a tour earlier in the year. We sat in the upper gallery and had a great view, but not always easy to hear. Nonetheless very enjoyable.
The Festival Theatre is lovely. Good seating and friendly staff. Excellent toilet facilities. Sound is sometimes low here.

Great time seeing back to the future musical 🎭. The stage effects and all the cast were phenomenal 👏. Managed to get rush tickets using todaytix app, and the view was decent for being in the stalls and having ample leg room. The air conditioning bothered me a little, but I guess it's better than being too warm.

As usual the Nottingham Playhouse puts on a great show,'Big girls dont cry' Frankie Valli & the four seasons tribute were amazing! Superb! The staff are very helpful & friendly. The accessible seating is confortable with a good view.
(Just to note there are several steps even to get to the accessible area & sadly the lift wasn't working on this occasion with clearly no alternative! Many people with mobility issues were struggling.) This affected the people I was with too which caused a little anxiety) but this is the only time it happened for us so I've not deducted a star xx
Small venue with pleasant staff. Enjoyed The Story of Soul with a brilliant cast. Only 4 stars as a large part of the bar area was closed due to another event being held in a side room, better planning required as this resulted in large queues and many people in a small area.

I don't live in the area of Great Yarmouth, and I only came here for a horror movie convention.

But I think it's a lovely little venue and a good place to hold events like this.

I would upload the videos I took on the day, but they are long.

Great venue for any show. Staff need to stop allowing drunks into the show, mid way through the act, who then leave 15 minute's later as they don't like the act, spilling beer over the rest of the audience stumbling out.

A review of the cafe outside the theatre.
Nice spot for a cup of tea and sit down. Unfortunately our sausage rolls were only just cooked and we had to send them back.
Just checking out the theatre where Dirty Dancing is starting Tuesday for the week. Heard some old Dixie in the stalls bar? I’ll include my day In Birmingham. First time I’ve performed here proper. Exquisite buildings and shopping areas here. I love it.
Great Rolling Stones tribute show. Lovely atmosphere and helpful staff. But £ 7.30 for a bottle of beer!? Amazingly, no queues at the bar during the interval. Wonder if they've made the connection...
We went to see a production put on by the schools. It was a lovely building with comfortable seating and plenty of leg room in all seats . (Seating all on one level)

We always enjoy our time at the Alexandra theatre.
Is a nice place to see a good show and be well entertained.
The price of snacks and drinks isn't cheap but you're in the heart of Birmingham and it's to be expected.
The staff are super friendly and really helpful if you have any questions or needs they'll do as much as they can to help.

This is a quaint little theatre with what looks like some original parts. The only thing that let's it down is the price of the drinks. The staff here are lovely and I believe that they're volunteering ( I could be mistaken though)
First trip out after baby, my parents were able to sit in the bar with him so u could feed him at the interval. All staff were lovely and supportive. Great night out.

Great theatre with lovely staff. This was our first visit to The Alexandra and it was wonderful. It's only a short walk from New Street train station so easy to get to. The main box office entrance is just across the road from the rear entrance so make sure you get the right one. It's very nice inside, the seats are comfortable and the sound was great. The stage is a very good size and we had no trouble seeing from our seats in the stalls. The prices at the bar are a little high but the norm for a theatre, and there was a live piano player who was excellent.
We saw "The Ocean at the End of the Lane", based on the Neil Gaiman book, which was the best show we have ever seen. A dark fantasy tale, both scary and emotional with incredible production values. We will definitely be back. Recommended.

Lovely venue. Comfy seats with decent leg room. Good view of the stage. Busy bar...pays to preorder, long queues, some folk missed out getting served before show started. Long queues as usual for the ladies toilet. Parking close by at the NCP car park, but expensive if you don't have the app. Good exhibition in foyer.

Been here twice recently - the upstairs is unreserved seating, a little on the warm side, but all good for a short play.

Downstairs I saw a pretty funny comedy show - slightly strange reserved seating in we were told strict seating positions despite it being fairly quiet on the night.

Definitely worth going to.
Very old listed building. Beware there are no lifts if you are sitting in the balcony there are a lot of stairs to get there so unsuitable for someone with mobility issues. It's a great fitness work out getting to your seats. Seriously so many steps!

Seating all though tiered doesn't work that well. I was in 2nd row in balcony see photos before and after people in 1st row took their seats. I think again this is due to the theatres age.

Thankfully you don't need to go downstairs to the bathroom it's just up another couple of flights of stairs. However the 1 Toilet didn't flush and the 1 sink didn't work in the bathroom near the balcony in the male toilets.

Staff are friendly.
A small theatre but very comfortable. The show was engrossing and emotional at the end. Watched the Bee Keeper from Aleppo which we thoroughly enjoyed. Acting superb.
The playhouse is a stunning theatre that deserves more praise than it gets for the venue of its size.

Featuring a really diverse lineup of productions throughout the year, it's always a pleasure to see shows here.

The only thing that I can really put as a negative is the parking as there isn't much nearby if you want to be close to the theatre itself, there's a strip right outside and a few side streets but it can get very busy understandably.

Price wise tickets are competitive and the staff are all friendly and welcoming, can't fault it really.

The only reason I've marked it down slightly is the parking, otherwise it's fab!

First visit to the Soho Theatre and will certainly be coming back. Upstairs you have a lively and airy bar area although it would be nice if the staff serving behind the bar could actually crack a smile....or perhaps I am being too picky! Downstairs the feeling is a lot more intimate with a small stage and tightly packed tables in front. Seann Walsh who we hadn't seen live before was hilarious and well worth the modest £16 ticket price. Seann even waited around upstairs to make sure we all went home afterwards! Or perhaps to say thanks... not sure! A great comedy venue and one I would highly recommend....just don't expect the bar staff to show the same good humour... maybe they were saving it for Seann!
We always have good time with seing Young artists produce .

We went to Malvern specially to see the play Spike by Ian Hislop and Nick Newman and were not disappointed. The theatre is bright and modern and, although work is currently being done on the building to add studio space, this did not interfere with our enjoyment. One entrance is closed but the café bar is still open and it offers a very pleasant venue for a coffee while enjoying Priory Park as well as a space for drinks before and during theatre performances.

What a wonderful theatre! Loved the decor. Good sound and lighting. Seating is a bit tight, both in leg room and width.

Pink Martini was amazing on the evening that I went.

Access to the theatre is pretty good. From parking next door to getting into and out of the theatre.

Good ratio of bars and food outlets to audience. I didn’t wait too long to be served.
Lovely experience during Birmingham heritage week. We had a lovely tour and talk with a afternoon tea on the stage. They adjusted to dietary needs as required.
Went here to watch a tribute band (Wrong Jovi ), we had travelled from Colchester Essex, we enjoy our night & the band were on top form. The down side was how expensive the drinks were. The toilets were exceptionally clean, the staff were really nice & showed you to your seat, all in all it was well organised night out.

Went to see the cotton club. Wonderful show, the tap dancer in particular was superb. Disappointed the restaurant is as not open nor did they make the seating available. Investment in more than one coffee machine at the bar would save queues.
I joined ROS in 2018 and it was the best decision I ever made! I was so excited when I found out there was a musical theatre group right on my doorstep. We always put on fantastic shows that receive amazing reviews which is so rewarding and makes the hard work put into rehearsals all worth it. Every show we do is so fun and that comes down to the people in the society. I’ve met so many people through the society and made lifelong friends, it really does feel like one big family. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming, I would encourage anyone thinking of joining to just go for it, you won’t regret it!

Despite being nothing to do with the university we come here a LOT! The variety of productions is brilliant and standard always extremely high. It's a brilliant way to see both classics and newer plays for less than the price of a cinema ticket. We are so lucky to have this in Nottingham, and my 15 year old is seriously considering staying here to study on the strength of the theatre alone! Keep up the great work!

This company's production of Still Alice was a very creative representation of this difficult story. The theatre space is no frills and was very cold on a November night. Good wheelchair access and accessible toilet.
In 2018 the theatre underwent some structural work to the clock tower, where the year before a project to reroof the theatre was most impressive viewed indoors as one can learn the amount of woodwork and timbers that go into a building like this one.

I went there to experience the cream of the crop and instead I was presented with the most disgusting specimen of a human being, Arthur Mckechnie. Throughout the play I had to endure his endless racist and sexist comments, as well as him blowing me constant kisses and winking at me constantly.
