It's a place where you can find more special gifts than the usual gift shops if you are visiting Athens. It's non touristy an have more original souvenirs.
I bought some really nice souvenirs there. Prices are higher than in average souvenirs shops around Monastiraki, but you can be sure that you will not get some Chinese souvenirs that you find the same all around the world.
Instead, they sell exceptional stuff made by Greek artists or local companies. Try their volcano cream - it’s great. Same as pottery and a wide collection of postcards - if you are a fan of them.

Επισκέφτηκα το κατάστημα για κάποιο πρόβλημα που παρουσίασε η τσάντα που αγόρασα. Η συμπεριφορά της μιας κοπέλας ήταν ειρωνική, απαξιωτική προς το πρόσωπο μου με μορφασμούς προς τις άλλες πωλήτριες, σαν να ήμουν γραφική ή βγάζω πράγματα από το μυαλό μου, προκειμένου να μην παραδεχτεί ότι η εταιρεία ευθυνόταν για το πρόβλημα. Σε ό,τι έλεγα αντέτεινε ότι δεν ισχύει σε καμία περίπτωση αυτό που λέω με ύφος εκατό καρδιναλίων. Λυπάμαι.

Almost an endless maze of shops - can get very lively and crowded.
Lovely flea market with lots of variety of things to buy. The perfect place to find souvenirs. The prices were reasonably good but you can find cheaper things on the more off peak roads but it’s not a huge difference in price. Definitely worth visiting!
Just the fact that entering the flea market you see a big plastic sign "flea market" makes you understand we are talking about everything but a flea market. It'd be better to call it "tourist market" as what they sell are mostly just souvenirs (bags, shoes, t-shirts with greek cliches etc.) which is ok, but just don't call it flea market.
Very close to the Acropolis, Agora, and other tourist areas and very easily access by train. It is a very busy area - but has so many nice shops and restaurants and street vendors.
It is particularly nice in the evenings (though more crowded) in the summer with the sun down and less heat.
On the weekends it seems there are even more street vendors.

Great place for tourists and shoppers. Tons of unique selection.

The best real estate office
I tried calling this business several times. Every time I started speaking English, they hung up on me! I have a very good budget to rent but they never even bothered to find out and now they have lost my business!
It’s near Acropolis. There are hundreds of shops selling everything you can think of. Bargaining is very common. Also a lot of restaurants nearby like Hard Rock Cafe and Vegan Nation.

καταπληκτικές τιμές ιδιαίτερα στις εκπτώσεις. το προσωπικό με βοήθησε πολύ στο να επιλέξω το κατάλληλο δώρο για τη γυναίκα μου και τη κόρη μας. Πολύ μεγάλη ποικιλία με ιδιαίτερα πράγματα σε πολύ καλές τιμές! Η εξυπηρέτηση ήταν πολύ καλή με το προσωπικό να ήταν ιδιαίτερα φιλικό και πρόθυμο.
Ειμαι παρα πολυ ευχαριστημένη με το συγκεκριμένο κατάστημα τόσο λόγο του σέρβις όσο και των προϊόντων. 4 χρόνια πριν είχα αγοράσει ένα μεταξοτο φουλάρι με γαλάζιες κυρίες, αλλά λίγες μέρες πριν το έχασα. Για μένα ήταν μεγάλη απώλεια, οπότε αποφάσισα να στραφώ προς το κατάστημα που το πήρα κάποτε. Τους πήρα τηλέφωνο (διότι μένω μακρυά από την πρωτεύουσα) και για την καλή μου τύχη βρέθηκε το ίδιο φουλάρι. Παρόλο που το κατάστημα δεν δουλεύει με ίντερνετ ή τηλεφωνικές παραγγελίες, δέχτηκαν να πληρώσω μέσω τράπεζας και μου το έστειλαν ταχυδρομικά και μάλιστα άμεσα. Πρέπει να σημειωθεί ότι τα προϊόντα του καταστήματος είναι ξεχωριστά και φέρνουν, ως κύριο θέμα την ιστορία του ελλαδικού χώρου. Ο οποίος το εκτιμά, θα εκτιμήσει και τα αντικείμενα που πουλάει το συγκεκριμένο κατάστημα. Εξ αυτού τα προϊόντα αυτά είναι κατάλληλα για δώρα τόσο για Έλληνες όσο και για ξένους επισκέπτες. Όμως! Η ποιότητα του κάθε αντικειμένου είναι άριστη και δεν μπορεί να χαρακτηρίσει κάνεις το κατάστημα αυτό ως τουριστικό. Προτείνεται 💯%❗

Their online communication is a joke. I sent them electronic messages through their website ,through "Χρυσή Ευκαιρία" , several times ,got no answer. It never happened with any other real estate management company.

Selling Greek local designer items. Slightly more expensive than maybe the other arrays of souvenir shops outside - uncertain where’s made in but I feel here does feel more authentic & one of a kind!! Nice lady! Highly recommended!
I’m at a loss to describe how fantastic this store is. It’s a breath of fresh air amid the rows of identical stores in plaka. At Heroes, each unique item is created by a Greek artist. This is the store to buy a souvenir for yourself that you will treasure. Very kind staff too.
Whilst strolling down the streets of Plaka we found this shop, one of the coolest we’ve seen in Athens! Really nice designs of gifts and trinkets. Highly recommend even just for a peruse!

Feel ripped off ... Just stay far away or hire a personal lawyer to support you through the whole process. Do not sign a thing unless you read it a million times. Do not feel comfort in any assurance. It s a pity to trust somebody with your property , no matter its value , and to see this greediness ! In this world that people work for 3 and 4 euros per hour , some want to earn a year's wage in few days 😏. Never again !!!

My absolute very favorite shop in Athens. A great place find a real gift for the classicist in your life. Did my Xmas shopping here and got many amazing things handmade by Greek artisans. Had to pass on many more which was sad because I loved everything. Everything! Luckily my husband did his Christmas shopping there too. 😉
