In my opinion, the best and greenest park in Budapest. The most stuffed. There are a lot of everything: rest areas; entertainment places (for example, a place with drums, pipes and other things that make sounds, where you can try yourself as a musician); you may also have the experience of rising 30-60 meters into the sky in a hot air balloon basket; in summer there is a small lake where you can rent a boat, and in winter you can go ice skating at the skating rink; there are places for sports; jogging paths are located throughout the park;….
There are also small cafes and trendy restaurants with great food. Széchenyi Thermal Bath is located within the park. Thermal baths are a distinctive feature of Budapest that are definitely worth trying. The park is surrounded by museums (Museum of Ethnography; Kunsthalle; Museum of Fine Arts; Museum of Hungarian Agriculture). So you can have a great time and spend the whole day in this area trying different experiences.

A great park with many things to see and do. My favorite is the center of the park, where there is a large, beautiful castle which doubles as the Hungarian Agricultural Museum. I didn't even go inside, but the outside is impressive enough. It's got a lot of soaring, ivy-covered towers and equivalently ivy-covered gatehouses. It's really a magical-looking structure, and it serves as a nice centerpiece to a very nice park.

Kellemes, rendben tartott, szép környezet. Kiváló sportoláshoz, vagy csupán sétához.

Incredible monument in a huge square, situated right next to the nicest park in Budapest. You can find many beautiful aechitectural sights close by and it is easily accessible by metro (station ia right before the Square). Prepare to wait and change spots many times, if you wiah to take really good pictures of the square, as it is crowded all the time.

I could spend the whole day taking pictures and meeting other tourists at this square alone. But, better still, there's a lovely agricultural park close by with a peaceful flowing river. It's one of the stops (I think #9) on the hop on hop off tour. Budapest generally is a surprisingly great tourist city. Would definitely visit here again.

Very beautiful statues. The base of the central statue depicts Árpád, the first Grand Prince of the Magyar, as well as the six other clan leaders of the seven Magyar tribes which migrated into Hungary in the late 9th century. Along the side of the square are a variety of statues of famous medieval Hungarians. If you like history, you will probably like this square.

A huge park for all sports.. from a running track with a soft surface, a skate park, in-line, volleyball and basketball on 3 courts. Beautiful clean public toilets and shower facilities. Super large workout field. I was blown away and I envied the local residents such a space where they can meet, do sports, relax... in the park you will find more than just sports activities. I recommend it to all visitors to Budapest who are interested in getting a little sweaty in the local community 🙂👍💪

Hero's square is one of the best attractions in Budapest. It's a National monument which includes the seven chieftains of the Magyar tribes that founded Hungary and other important heads of state.

CITY PARK
The park is a splendid destination offering a plethora of attractions. Some of these are positioned on its southwestern side, such as Heroes' Square, with the Museum of Fine Arts and the Hall of Art on either flank. Further down, you'll find the Ethnographic Museum. Furthermore, within the park's expanse, you can explore the Zoo and Botanical Garden, the Szechenyi Baths, and the City Park Ice Rink. However, the true gem is the Vajdahunyad Castle, which hosts the Museum of Hungarian Agriculture, along with its adjacent structures, all gracefully nestled by a picturesque lake.

HEROES' SQUARE
The square is located at the far end of Andrassy Avenue, adjacent to City Park, and it stands as one of the prominent squares in Budapest. It's renowned for its iconic Millennium Monument adorned with statues depicting Hungarian national leaders, as well as the Memorial Stone of Heroes, which is often mistakenly referred to as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. On the left and right sides of the square are the Museum of Fine Arts and the Palace of Art. Be cautious, as in Budapest, there are three additional squares named Heroes' Square.

One of the best parks I've ever visited.
Numerous attractions- too many to list.
Plenty of cafès and more upmarket restaurants. Bars, music and even a boating lake. There's an adventure playground for kids under 10.
Best of all is the historic thermal baths. You can book online or pay on entry. Hungarian currency or card payment

The right side represents literature and arts. The left side represents strength and power....or something similar.

It's a nice place to learn about the history of Hungary 🇭🇺.

I really liked the park!
It is a great place to walk around, and inside there is a castle, museums and a lot of other things.
The most important thing is probably Széchenyi Thermal Bath.

The Heroes' Square in Budapest is a place that certainly won't leave you indifferent. Full of charm, its statues provide an unbeatable opportunity for photography lovers. Without a doubt, I would recommend it 100%.

I really love city park. Such a quiet peaceful place. The Spa at Margaret Island is a lot less touristy, but City park has so much charm. Another fun thing is to take the subway from the river to city park. It's old, rustic, fast and very cool. (and 1 Euro!!)

Friends invited me there because they recently enjoyed night cocktails. The problem is...it is not because you have a good barman that you can pretend to have worthy brunch. Limited poorly creative breakfast menu..terrible voffee..Capucino came not even warm, i refused and asked for simple americano..i got some undefined dark watery beverage with an illusion of coffee taste..which I rejected , and asked for an expresso..that came nearly 10 min later...nearly cold😳. The eggs benedict came also nearly cold, in a very poor combination, nearly tasteless. ..There is serious problem in the kitchen... Never to try again. My top favourite for delicious food is the neighboring Monk's Bistro.. Try the difference

Romanesque looking statues and columns. Huge and stunning. Totally worth a visit and pictures. There added two different museums that are on both sides of the square and the city park is a super short walk from there. Easy to use a city bus to get out to that area, took us about 40 minutes on the bus. It is away from the main downtown areas.

A lovely green oasis in the heart of the city, perfect for kids and families. With possibility to do sports or have a picnic, it is a haven for everyone. Lovely trees and flowers, shrubs and decorations everywhere. You can enjoy the walk or just relax. You can also see many birds and listen to their song.

Nice , crean park with playground suitable for both young and older kids. Equiped with toilet and water fountain.
I only wish dogs could come in as well. But they do have a dog park right nextdoor.

A szocializmus dohos lehelete!

Such a lush, fresh and happy park. It has everything from basketball court, play ground with new beautiful games and huge green area to catch the ball or play Frisbee.

Loved everything about it. You can go there with the kids, or alone and just lay down and relax.

They ia a fountain too so if its hot your kids can cool down.

Highly recommend it

Beautiful and clean park overlooking Danube river. Nice views especially during Xmas season. Park is cleaned often and there are many benches facing the river. You can walk along the river all the way to Chain bridge and parliament from this park!

The place is lovely, very quiet for the amount of people that was around. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because most of the places was closed so I had no idea what inside looked like.

The statues are really ugly and unnecessary. More trees would have been better, and probably cheaper for the taxpayers.

Lovely open space with water fountain, some grassy area, some covered with stones for bike/scooter riding.

A lovely, safe park for kids to play. There are plenty of opportunities for both small and bigger kids and for adults to play basketball as well. There are toilets on site as well.
