Rawon seenak ini udah sama nasi cuman 17rb dengan potongan daging yang cukup banyak dan empuk dagingnya,plus kuah rawonnya kluwak poll hitam,ini baru rawon 😋

This place has a really unique atmosphere of traditional Indonesia, both from the cuisine and the decoration. The food they offer are able to maintain the authenticity of both the flavor and ingredients, while at the same time still friendly enough for a first timer. Meanwhile the place it self is really unique, fills with painting and statue, added with a traditional scent. Last, the service is really good and very attentive with our needs. Nice experience overall
Heads up. Remember to make reservations ahead of time. This place and be hard to get seats if you try to walk in.

The more folks you bring the more you can try. Definitely on the pricier side in Jakarta but worth giving it a go.

Indonesian fine dining. A gem in Jakarta, in a wonderful ambiance. Enough to explore on the menu. A very nice place for groups and solo travellers. Kind staff that make you feel comfortable. The quality of this Indonesian food is outstanding.
Wonderful food and extraordinary service! We came in for a very late lunch and was immediately welcomed warmly. The rendeng beef and oxtail soup was superb. It was the Ramadan time. When we wanted to make a reservation the next day, the host, Anna, first indicated that they were fully booked for the next two weeks. But sensing our disappointment, she managed to get a table. Next day our group had a chance to taste all the classic dishes with very attentive services. Thank you very much, Anna!
Ambient atmosphere. Javanese fine dining. Good Indonesian food. Excellent service. Price affordable. Will come back.
Mantap sate ayamnya,
My wife and I had an early weekday dinner. Beautiful decor, and a fish pond gives it a lovely atmosphere. Name written out on a leaf. Service was prompt, warm and attentive (without being overbearing)!. We ordered the fish sate. This was incredibly tasty with rich seasoning. I wish we had ordered more! My wife ate their Taliwang dish and I had a Betutu. Beautifully presented. Washed down with a hot, spicy ginger drink.
Authentic Indonesian dining experience in historical and culturally rich ornamented rooms! It was my second day back in Jakarta longing for a traditional Indonesian food and stumbled upon Lara Djonggrang in Menteng area and wasn’t disappointed.
Historical ornaments, religious sculptures and dated remains filled every corner of the room as we were seated, making the dining experience as traditional as it can get; felt almost like we were dining in a historical museum.
We had Nasi Gudeg Pesanggrahan (Rp. 98,000), Nasi Bakar Ayam Taliwang (Rp. 98,000), Rendang Padang (Rp. 118,000), Es Lemongrass Tea (Rp. 40,000).
Nasi Gudeg was immensely delicious and was my personal favourite. The ingredients tasted fresh and the Indonesian spices felt very authentic. Nasi Bakar Ayam Taliwang was alright, taste-wise pretty decent but the ratio of rice to proteins were a bit off (not sure if that’s how it was meant to be served). Rendang Padang felt different —not the same coconut-curry rendang I was used to, not bad but kicked pretty strong in the earthy taste (perhaps star anise).
A lovely dining experience. Would come back for their other food at a certain point!

Eating at Lara Djonggrang gives you a different kind of dining experience , it’s almost magical when you get inside and see the interior design and decorations, and the staff service is excellent. We even get a tour around the restaurant for every room and we got explanations on each objects (which are collections of the owner) . The food tasted exceptional as well. It’s a wonderful experience and recommended

the chicken satay is delicious, tender but the goat satay is a bit hard
The satays were dry and not juicy at all. Street musicians and beggars kept coming into the shop and one of them talked rude for no one of us gave him some cash. We waited for too long and in about half an hour we met three street musicians and two beggars coming into the resto. Sorry, but that was such an unpleasant experience.

Warung makan yang lumayan lengkap menyediakan masakan Jawa, mulai dari Ayam Lodho, Nasi Pecel, Rawon, Krengsengan, Nasi Campur, dll. Masakannya enak, warungnya juga lumayan luas jadi tidak perlu khawatir tidak dapat tempat. Bisa pilih gasebo, bisa juga di dalam warung. Parkir juga sangat memadai untuk mobil dan motor. Lokasinya berada di pinggir jalan raya, akses mudah dan terjangkau.
The taste is really good for me ... The price little bit expensive, it's cost around Rp 50 K for 10 sticks -lamb sate. It's better if you taking away the foods because the air circulation in this place, it's no good ... Smokey and litlle bit hot becauce they don't have air conditioner 😁🙈 This sate place is belonging by 'asli' Depok citizens 😁 If you came after 2 p.m. usually they already closed ... 😭 Fast sale 👍😁💖 They seem will open the place if they want to open it, so don't be surprise if they don't open all the time 🙈 Seems that their not looking for customers, but customers will looking for them 😀😀😀

Awal nya underestimate, udah berfikir "ini bakal kayak sate-sate pada umum nya". Tapi saya salah!! Mulai dari daging ayam nya beda, sambal kacang nya pun beda.
Potongan daging ayam nya besar, dah gitu empuk lagi. Jarang lho, makan sate ayam, daging nya ga kerasa gosong, tekstur nya masih empuk dan yg terpenting, rasa nya ga kemanisan.
Belum lg, sambal kacang nya. Beda jauh sama sambal kacang sate-sate pada umum nya. Agak encer, tp ga overpower rasa manis nya. Ada gurih asin nya gitu.
Ga kecewa makan sate ayam di sini. Next mungkin kalau dah ada duit, nyoba sate kambing or sapi nya.

Masakannya enak banget, bumbunya top, pedesnya jg nendang. Ayam lodho nya dan pecel rawon nya recommended. Setiap perjalanan ke Tulungagung disempatkan mampir ke depot ini. Masakan lainnya jg enak" rasanya (ada beberapa varian masakan). Harga bersahabat, tempatnya nyaman dan bersih, ada toilet jg. Pemiliknya dan pelayanannya ramah 👍👍👍
