Never had bad food from Tani. Always beautiful salmon sushi. Used to get takeaway but dined in recently and the presentation and service was top class. Always a favorite when in Dublin!

I've been coming here once a week with my boyfriend for a while now to eat ramen and sushi. We really like it and the staff is always very friendly. It's a cozy and cute space. The extra spicy seafood ramen deserves 10 🌟!

This is my favourite Japanese 🇯🇵 restaurant in Ireland. I come (really) often and the food is truly fresh. The service always (always) friendly and honestly: the best.

I would give this 5 stars. Only issue is price on internet and price in house are different. I don't mind the price increase at the restaurant, I just want others to not be upset when they see the actual menu prices. But like I said great restaurant and don't mind the increase in price.

Yamamori was a pleasant surprise. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, offering a good range of dishes. I enjoyed the flavors and found the overall experience to be enjoyable. Service was friendly and attentive.

I’ve eaten regular box with salmon norimaki, miso soup, lamb curry, korrokke. The plate has a very different taste from each of it, every bite of mine was surprising taste and delicious. The miso soup was less taste but first time tried that maybe my sense is not same like you so you can still try 🥰. Service was very kind.

Once again an amazing authentic asian food with lively atmosphere, fun interactions and polite professional staff. We will be back soon, Best wishes.

I have been searching for a place that does real JP standard food. I searched for Pork Bone Broth and Google brought me here. Not disappointed, instead, overjoyed after placing the roast pork in my mouth. The fat melted, and the crispy bits from searing the outer bit of the pork made me smiled and enjoyed the moment~! The ramen noodles are proper too. Soup base abit overpowered by the Black Garlic paste/oil. My husband is extremely satisfied with the crispiness of the breadcrumbed tofu slices. Hot and crispy. The only disappointment is, the tempura batter is abit too thick and hard. The batter recipe is right though (not chipper batter). The Grilled Chicken skewer is nice, well seasoned and crispy on the outside. Definitely would come back for the pork and noodles again. One weird thing is, why there is no tea option😅. Malaysian waitress girl is very nice and hardworking (especially with ensuring the door is closed properly so that the wind doesn't blow in.

This restaurant is a true gem of Terenure North! The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, and every dish is a delightful experience.
I come here several times a week, and I am always impressed by the care and attention evident in every detail, from the preparation of the dishes to the service.
You can clearly feel the passion that the entire team puts into making each visit special.
I highly recommend stopping by and letting yourself be enchanted by the intimate and welcoming atmosphere—a true haven for lovers of fine cuisine!

Literally the best ramen I've had in 20 years. Hreat atmosphere and interior and amazing service. Spicy Asian cocktail was on point. Best dinning experience I've had in years I think I'm going back tomorrow.

Our experience at Tippenyaki in Rathmines was absolutely phenomenal! From the moment we started with the appetizers to the delicious desserts, it truly felt like the food was on another level—everything was a solid 10/10

The chefs cooking right in front of us were a huge part of the experience. Not only were they clearly skilled in what they do, but they were also incredibly friendly and brought so much energy and entertainment to the table. Watching them work their magic with precision and humor added so much to the meal.

One thing we didn't expect was live entertainment. There was a guy with a guitar who had a truly beautiful voice, going around singing happy birthday to people in the restaurant, and he even came over and sang a song just for us to celebrate our anniversary. It was such a memorable touch that really made the night feel special.

And the service? Flawless. Our water glasses were topped up without us even asking, plates disappeared as soon as we finished, and somehow, we never had to wait long for food or drinks. Every detail was looked after.

If I could give this experience more than five stars, I would. Tippenyaki is by far one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. This is the kind of place that’s perfect for a celebration or a special night out, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something truly memorable.

We arrived a little early for our booking but that seemed to be no problem.

Service was friendly and relaxed. Orders came very promptly. Food was top notch. Our table had a mix of everything and it was all very well received.

Today was my first time at Yamamori, and I’m speechless! The atmosphere is amazing, the food is excellent, and the service is exceptional. I’ll definitely be back because I wanted to try more, but I was already full. The drinks are delicious, and the food is perfect, made with incredibly fresh ingredients. It’s easily one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Dublin.

I would also like to highlight the outstanding service from Sumaya, who was very attentive, explained everything in detail, and was incredibly friendly. The restaurant’s manager was also very welcoming and hospitable!

The ambience is wonderful, super furnishings. There is enough space for larger groups. The service is also simply marvellous, everything is taken care of, there is nothing to complain about. The food is just as marvellous as in the pictures. The temperature was perfect, as were the flavours. The ramen and yakitori are highly recommended. If you are there in a group, you should expect to pay a higher service charge.

Tani is without any doubt the restaurant where we have been more often in Ireland. It may well be that it's where we have been more often in our whole life.

We discovered it 10 years ago and it's one of the things that makes our neighborhood special and something that contributed to our choice to buy a house where we bought it.

The decor is lovely and evocative: dark, stylish, with the warmth of black, dark stone & dark wood. There's almost always nice jazz music.

If I could add a note: I wish the room temperature was a bit warmer but I understand that most local customers probably prefer it this way.

Of course over the years the food has changed as the chef were alternating but it has always kept between good and exceptional. I think the last 12-18 months have been particularly good!

We love going there for a bento box over lunch. It's a shame that they are not open anymore during most workdays. My favorite is the seafood one.

Their sashimi is very tasty and high quality.

I love their Tori Karage and their yaki soba are very tasty. My favorites are chicken and duck, that sometimes I have asked to combine for a special treat

Staff has always been friendly and polite.

I think that recently they have found a particularly fantastic balance of great people who both create and serve the food. I hope they can keep going like this as we hope to remain very happy customers.

Ooooh we were so glad to discover we were staying right around the corner from a sushi bar. We live on the west coast of California and after an extended trip in the British isles, we desperately missed our usual sushi spots. Aoki staff were wonderful with us, and very patient with our baby and toddler. The food was great, we ordered quite a lot and appreciated (and devoured) all of it. A local was dining beside us and she told us it was her favourite lunch spot and how lucky we were just to happen upon it.

We were lucky to get a seat as it was quite crowded. Highly recommend then pumpkin gyozas and the tonkatsu ramen. The portion is really big so sharing it between two people is recommended.

Visited in August 2024. We tried the mixed tempura and two different chicken bentos. The portions were generous and the ingredients were of good quality. The chicken was perfectly cooked, especially the tatsuta-age I got. The staff was nice and service was quick. The interior was nice and the music wasn't too loud, but because of the acoustics there was quite a bit of noise from nearby tables.

Overall, I'd happily recommend this place.

Apologies for the poor-quality photos; we had nearly finished the food before snapping them. I had the pork ramen, which was juicy with a slightly sweet taste, and the fresh herbs added a refreshing touch. My partner opted for the vegan ramen—the tofu's texture was incredible, and the broth was even more flavorful than mine. The flavors were really well-balanced.

The atmosphere is calm and pleasant, food doesn’t take long to arrive and even though it was almost 5 pm on a Sunday, it’s clear that dishes is made fresh and prepared by who that know what is doing!

The staff is very sweet and friendly. The food was good but I think the sushi could be a little better. And I was very upset that there were no veggie rolls on the menu. They brought ice cream for my birthday but there were no candles :( It was still a sweet surprise, thank you.

My partner and I came here for the tippenyaki live cooking for our anniversary and we absolutely loved it. From the moment we got there the staff were all very friendly and welcoming, so was the chefs doing the show cooking.

The chefs were all very friendly and made the experience unforgettable, even for those that weren’t sitting in front of the live cooking. It’s amazing to see them cook the food so well and put on a show at the same time, it makes you want keep your camera open to capture everything. They catered to each person they were cooking for, and spoke to everyone and involved us all. The chef even did a design out of salt on the grill for me and my partner which we thought was amazing. 10/10 would absolutely recommend to go any time, we would love to go back as soon as possible.

Visited on our way from Dublin to the west coast. We ordered 2 different kinds of ramen bowls and both were very tasty. Right amount of richness and flavor. I would recommend this place and would go there again myself.

Small ramen place, loved the vibes. The shrimp dumplings were soupy and delicious and the seafood ramen was great. Would definitely come back!

I've been a regular here for 10 years. Things have deteriorated since after Covid. Prices went up and some portions got smaller. My last visit, Saturday. May be my last, after at least 50 visits. Makis have gone up significantly and size has increased too. But only because it's loaded with rice, the core ingredients have actually reduced. This is a short sighted owner or a sign of a restaurant in trouble. Staff front of house are great.

If price rises and quality remains the same, I understand. We are all subject to the effects of inflation... But if price rises, the quantity of cheap ingredients in a dish increase and the quantity of expensive ingredients decreases.. not acceptable.

I am a loyal customer telling you the truth from my perspective as a customer. The Makis are bulging compared to how they used to be, but its all rice...

Your staff know me and they know that I don't look at the menu. I order the same dishes every time. Tani Rainbow maki, Spider maki, Tori Kara Agge, Ebi Katsu, Edamame, Pork Gyoza, 2x Tuna Sashimi. Every time the same. I know your product very well and I know when it changes. I have sung your praises to all of my friends in person and on tripadvisor and here on google in earlier reviews.

Go to your earlier reviews on tripadvisor and here on google and look at the pictures of your Maki. Your customers are not stupid. Don't try to gaslight your customers. Keep it consistent and you will get repeat business. I have never complained about the price, only about the price increasing and quality dropping.

You're right, its not my business to refer to covid, or your business being in trouble. I guess I was frustrated because I so lok forward to Tani, and so does my family. So When I go there and drop Euro 120 and get too much rice I'm not happy at all and even less happy when the owner appears to attempt to invalidate my remarks.

We went there randomly on a Tuesday evening without any booking but we were warmly welcomed by them. The ambiance was nice and the staffs were very friendly the menu had varieties of meat as well as vegetarian option and the way they cooked the main course in front of us was amazing the way they presented was breathe taking. I highly recommend to visit this place once

I was in this great restaurant few time and service, staff and of course food is always top notch, sashimi is probably the best in town , I know it's just a cut of raw fish but they are using the best part and the freshes fish , I had some sashimi in one very good place I Temple Bar that I don't want to throw under the bus that it was very tough and very veiny but in Sushida it's always great . 100% recommended!!!

I loved this place. The menu look like everything I was craving. I had ramen and it was delicious. A generous portion (didn’t need/have any starter pr anything). The attention was great and the place wasn’t empty (which in my book is always good!) also it was open at a time when everything else was closed! Excellent price-quality relationship!

I’ve been twice to this restaurant and both times I had an amazing experience! Food is 10/10. Great service and good prices for Dublin City. Prawn Ramen was unreal! Definitely going back.

Lovely Japanese restaurant in the heart of Rathmines. We went there for some noodles wok and dumplings. Everything was super delicious. Nice atmosfere, friendly and kind staff. Defo we will go back there to try some sushi. I would recommend this place 😊.

The food is great but apparently keeping the place neat is not really their forte: dirty windows, unpolished scruffy floor, the paint is peeling off outside the restaurant, drink stain on the table, Christmas decoration in April…

SUSHI SCRAMBLED, HORRIBLE ..
I ordered sushi from this restaurant via ubereat, horrible .. the boxes were open and all sushi scrambled. I called the restaurant and they refused to send the food again or refund it. They asked me to contact ubereat, and this is what I did, but ubereat just ingnored me.

The quality of the food is just incredible! I highly recommend this for people who never had Korean food before. Although the price isn’t one of the most cheapest. The size of the dish on the other hand is more than enough for 1 person.
Even though the place was a bit busy, the food didn’t take long to be prepared nor the waitress took long to take our order.

I really want to go back and try the Gimbap someday!

It’s a cozy and good place. The food is good, I just was sad because I ordered a bibimbap and the rice came stuck and burned and I could not finish everything. But the dish was good, we were excited to drink Soju but didn’t have any, I hope next time will be a better experience. The staffs are kind and nice, love it, I booked a table online and is easier and they are very organised about it.

I would like to recommend this restaurant despite I'm not a fan of Korean style food.
The service was respectful and fast, the food has a good quality and the Nigri was excellent. We'll repeat for sure

The best ramen in town!!!
I've tried many other Japanese restaurants in Dublin even the most famous ones but still not happy with any among those cos they usually make ramen salty not tasty at all.
When I came here I instantly clicked!
The price is reasonable and I ate it all !
Why didn't I know it until today after 3,5 years living in Dublin!?
The place is a bit small and suitable to go alone, as a couple or with a small group.
Highly recommend it to everyone!

I've been coming to Tani for almost 3 years now, it's my favourite Japanese restaurant in Terenure. All the staff are lovely and it has a very relaxed atmosphere. The food is fantastic, I recommend chicken yakisoba, Orange blossom ,vegetables roll and pork gyoza

Loved LOVED IT here. Spicy beef ramon was so nice. Down to all textures and balance of flavours. It was just fantastic. And also had the prawn tempura with had cheddar cheese on it. Didn’t think this would work. But it was anther taste sensation. 10/10 — 5/5 must try !!

Also they seem to be the only Ramen place that have gluten free options.

Neat place! Will return again for a lunch. Super delicious Japanese curry, great rolls and very generous portion for the bento box. We were delighted, the place was not busy and had plenty of available sitting options for 2 people

The broth was rich and creamy, just how a good tonkotsu should be. They definitely didn't skimp on the toppings, got tender pork, and the egg was cooked just right. Cozy spot for a chill meal, and the ramen alone is worth coming back for. If you're around Rathmines and need a ramen fix, this is the place!

I love when restaurants focus on a smaller menu, but do it really well. The ramen here is just fantastic. I've had all of them and I can say they are all delicious. Highly highly recommended. Dumplings are also great.

Decent grub, not spectacular but it was good it hit the spot. We shared a bowl of sushida ramen, chicken katsu rolls and takoyaki.

The sushida ramen was nice, slightly disappointing to be completely honest I was expecting a bit more ooomf from the broth , also it wasn’t very hot but more on the warm side when it came out.

The sushi rolls and takoyaki were also pretty good, nothing really stand out about either to be honest hence only the 4 star review.

I would probably return and try again if in the area but I wouldn’t be rushing back. Very average experience altogether

I tried Jeyuk, Bulgogi, and sundooboo hanyang set, and all of them are good, especially when I have it with ginger beer. Good choice for rainy day, hot soup made your stomach warm and pleasant.

It was nice and although it was full, we were seated directly. Unfortunately it was around the bar but we were too hungry to care. Food was great especially the potato roll its definitely very original and a taste explosion! We got miso soups for free as the food came in apart from that, the only thing that we didn’t like as much was the carrot cake

Sushi here is one of the best in Dublin! Made fresh on the spot we got gyoza dragon roll rainbow roll and Mindori roll, the three dishes had very fresh ingredients and very tasty, the only thing I don’t really recommend are the desserts as they’re not typical, tiramisu and cheesecake are not a Japanese thing and they weren’t exceptional in my opinion but all the rest was good!

Amazing sushi and at least the lunch deal is really good value. Sitting in the atmosphere is nice and staff is pleasant too. Would highly recommend.

This has since become one of my regulars for (takeaway) lunch, and I feel like 5 stars just doesn't cut it. Easily the best sushi I've found in Dublin and staff are always top-notch.

The best way to describe this place is just plain amazing. I do not consider myself a sushi expert, but more an enthusiast, but it tastes so good, the cuts all seemed to just melt in my mouth and the rice was perfectly seasoned. The amount of attention payed to each piece was noticed as well as the attentiveness of all the staff. The decor was elegant and the atmosphere sophisticated.
5 stars quality, definitely I will come back here again.
