We received a wonderful meal from the catering team on Christmas Eve. Thank you very much to Anjula and all the team at Pearse Street for being so helpful and accommodating.
Food was excellent and everyone was very impressed.
Service was very handy and stress free, allowing us to enjoy Christmas Eve with the family.
Thank you again!
Highly recommend!

I really hate leaving negative reviews, but unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience here a few weeks ago. I visited with friends during a lunch break, hoping to order something gluten-free. Using the self-service machines, I browsed the menu and noticed that not all dishes had allergens clearly listed. While some dishes included this information, others did not.

To clarify the situation, I approached the staff member at the counter and inquired about gluten-free options for coeliacs. She mentioned two dishes that were supposedly suitable. However, when I attempted to place my order at the self-service machine, both of these dishes were marked as containing gluten. I was grateful to have double-checked this.

I then tried to find accurate allergen information online, but not all of the dishes listed matched those displayed on the self-service machines. Myself and 2 other friends found it difficult to navigate. At this point, I had spent about 20 minutes trying to navigate the situation. A friend of mine decided to double-check with the same staff member. This time, she was told about two entirely different dishes—one of which was listed as containing gluten on the machine, while the other had no allergen information available at all. In the end, I had no choice but to leave and find food elsewhere.

My main concern is not the lack of gluten-free options. While disappointing, I have encountered this issue in many establishments. My primary issue lies with the inconsistent and inaccurate allergen information provided to me, as well as the lack of clear and accessible details overall. I think it’s really important that allergen information should be accurate and readily available. As I mentioned, I really hate leaving negative reviews, but I felt deeply let down by this experience. I really hope these issues can be resolved in the future.

The decor and atmosphere of this restaurant were great—really cozy and inviting. The food was lovely, with every dish tasting fresh and well-prepared. However, the service left much to be desired.

We were never asked if the food was okay, and it felt like the staff wasn't attentive at all. It took ages for someone to clear our plates, even though we had obviously finished. To top it off, after ordering additional drinks, we had to wait 15 minutes to get them.

While the food and ambiance are worth mentioning, the poor service made the overall experience less enjoyable. Hopefully, the staff can improve, as this place has potential.

Nice atmosphere, very cosy, however our lunch wasn't too great. We did not like pizza dough at all, felt very hard and chewy. We have tried 90% of Dublin Italian restaurants and this is the one that we would not come back unfortunately.
Please keep in mind that this place has a service charge.
This was THE BEST Indian food I've had in a very long time (if ever!)
Every single dish was spot on, literally wanted to lick the plate clean.
Service was fast and mostly attentive (despite it being packed due to the holiday).
The atmosphere is lovely, but if they don't have a table available, the food is so good that I would recommend you to get take out!
First time eating here, food is fab and delicious 😋 staff goes out on the way to ensure you are happy customer 🙏

I’ve been wanting to visit this place for years, and I was excited to finally get the chance. The location is fantastic, and the interior has a nice charm to it. It’s a bit noisy, and the tables are quite close together, which made it slightly uncomfortable, but it didn’t ruin the experience. The food was decent—perhaps not extraordinary, but the prices are better than many other places in Dublin, which is a definite plus. The staff were friendly overall, although they forgot a glass of wine I ordered. Instead of following up, we chose to move on to dessert. I had high expectations for the tiramisu, but it didn’t quite live up to them—it was fine, just not remarkable. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience, though it didn’t quite leave a lasting impression.
Best Indian in Dublin! Everything is so so delicious and the staff are great

I don’t really care about leaving google reviews this was particular bad so I have to say something. My friend and I waited nearly an hour for our food. I assume they forgot and just kept walking past us, clearly with no food or drinks in front of us. We eventually mentioned it and they greeted me with a sigh, like I was inconveniencing them. Anyway, roll forward a few minutes and they are serving another table and then proceed to spill a glass of coke all over our table and my friend and her dress. Again they basically sighed a sorry and then just walked away. At this point it’s just kind of funny but also really shocking. We go to pay and I have a raised eyebrow if we’ll get any sort of apology. No. We asked to split the bill, they said, how much each?? I had to say, eh, you’re the waiter? 🥲 honestly it was funny and also abysmal. Best of luck!
Really enjoyed the crispy chilli beef and crispy chilly chicken! Although I find the portions rather small for the price and the dish had too many different types of onions, which had to be picked out to avoid ruining the flavour and then the gut.
Lovely, small, cosy Indian restaurant serving delicious food! Really enjoyed our dinner here and can’t wait to be back! Chicken Chetinad was really tasty 👌
Visited in August 2024 for a quick lunch. Ordering was easy and straightforward through the touch screens inside. Getting the food took about 15 min although there were only 3 people ahead of us. The rice was not fresh and it had gotten dry, but the stir-fry was good. The dandan noodles were also freshly made, but the dish was dry and overall not great. The portion size for the savers is okay, but the lunch size for the regular dishes is tiny.
Overall, I guess this is fine enough if you're a student on a budget, but I couldn't recommend it otherwise.

a true gem for anyone craving an authentic Italian dining experience. From the moment you step through the doors, you’re greeted with the warm, rustic ambiance. The menu is a well-curated selection of Italian classics, each dish prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. One of the best Italian restaurants I tried in Dublin.

I had a fantastic dining experience at Al Vesuvio in Dublin. The service and food were both exceptional, truly capturing the essence of Italian cuisine. The ambiance made me feel like I was dining in Italy, adding to the authenticity of the experience. On top of that, the prices are very fair, making it a great value for the quality you receive. I highly recommend Al Vesuvio for anyone looking to enjoy a genuine Italian meal in Dublin.
Hidden Indian gem in Dublin.

They have a very beautiful ambience and setting . The place offers limited seating so you are better off reserving beforehand.

This place is not price heavy at all and their portions are also fairly generous. The portion quantities are created as such so that you have a wider range of items to taste from without leaving you too full or too hungry.

Special recommendations:
Starter: Fish Tikki
Main course: Jackfruit Butter Masala
Dessert: Gulab jamun

I can’t recommend this place enough! The food is incredibly authentic and delicious! And let me tell you about their cheesecake… it’s on another level of creamy goodness!!! I almost didn’t want to finish it, it was that good. Plus, the staff are super friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit!

Overall very average. Went for a quick mains only early dinner on a weekday and the food was good but nothing exceptional, we had the classics of Pad Thai and Massaman Curry (Tofu and veg for both). Both were decent but my only complaint would be the rice was quite dry and clumpy. Prices were ok. The decor was very dated though and in need of a touch up which went along with the music playing which was pretty cheesy 60s & 70s pop (Tom Jones, Bee Gees etc.). Left satisfied but I won't be rushing back.

Everything is delicious. I like the spiciness in the sauce of patata. We ordered different kinds of croquetas but Spinach and blue cheese one was the best. Tortilla with ham and cheese was really tasty. Tosta with tomato and onion is great too. The salad was okay as there was too much sauce.(I like their generosity though). The cheese cake was just what I've been looking for! We all are very happy with the food here. The staffs are super friendly👍
Opening hours on Camden St until 9pm on December 13th according to website but was closed when we got there at 7pm? Disappointing.

Only had a bottle of wine (and previously a very tasty creamy cup of coffee). Atmosphere is great, wine was just a tad bit pricey, but extremely good. Coffee - has to be one of the best cups of coffee I have had in the city.
Mediocre food at affordable price.

Camile Thai Pearse St is at good location near IT companies serving Asian food. I tried Camile at various locations in city but this serves some mediocre Dan Dan chicken noodles.

The Dan Dan Chicken noodles is priced at 8.99 € in store , 8.50 € in camile website and it doesn’t show up in just eat.

The Dan Dan noodles are dry egg noodles with cooked chicken mince. I like my food to be little spicy. There is no customisation and default felt bland. But, the distinct fishy flavours boomed it. At least a choice of chill oil would fire it up. I personally don’t like dry noodles so my experience can’t be yours.

I would advise you to try other dishes like chicken pad Thai and crispy chicken.
This is a hidden gem!!! Quiet, perfect place to have a conversation, understated decor, and the food is an absolute Star. They do lunch menu and early bird! Close to Grafton but kind of off the beaten path, well known to locals. I had a lovely evening here with a friend.

I loved the efforts the chef put.
Food was lovely!!!!!!
My boyfriend wanted some fries but they didn't have any. We were okay with it but few minutes later they presented the fries which were okay but they made a homemade sauce which was absolute delight!
The staff was so sweet I loved it.
Later, since they don't serve fries, they didn't even add it in the bill. I felt so bad. But they were very sweet.
Will definitely go back there!

It was first time we tried this restaurant today, I have to say I really did not expect it to be as nice as it was.
The food was absolutely amazing, every piece just melted in the mouth. We will most certainly return many more times 😍😍
It might just become one of our favourite spots in Camden Street. 🤤🤤👏
10/10
First, the name of the restaurant “Konkan” is quite misleading. They do regular Indian food, not specifically South Indian or Konkan by any means.

I guess they are going for a mid-range, fine dining, taster menu experience but I think their overall offering just ends up being confusing - an average restaurant with the decor of a fine dining experience, an average menu, average taste, average service, small portions, and high prices.

We ordered two appetisers, 3 mains, some naans, and pulao rice on the side. We were just about full between three and we are not big eaters. The ingredients used are not the highest quality and consequently the dishes are not very tasty.

Perhaps it would have been better to have a tasting menu but having tried a variety of dishes I don’t think it would have hit the spot either.

Their prices are comparable to the likes of Pickle but they lack the originality, service and taste.

We passed on this feedback to the owner but he dismissed it by saying that the dishes are meant to serve one. This explanation would’ve been better offered at the start rather than at the end.

Loved this Spanish place! Even though the place is small, the vibes are great, the music, the service. The food is excellent, great portions and taste. Everything we had was delicious. Can’t recommend this enough.
It was my first time and LAST time I will ever order from this Camille Thai. Exceptionally poor quality for High Prices, one starter (unedible see pics) , two mains (barely any meat in both and cold noodles/veg throughout) + 2 cans of coke for €40, items must have been flung into the bag as chicken satay skewers had leaked over everything else, the chicken was stone cold, sauce was everywhere except on the chicken! When I called to complain, the staff barely acknowledged my annoyance, no offer of an apology, refund or replacement. I'm annoyed at myself for not looking at the previous reviews as they paint a very accurate picture of why this establishment needs to be avoided by all who expect value for their money.

Very cuteee Italian inspired restaurant! The staff are so cute and helpful! I wish I could remember the waiters name! He was so patient and helpful when suggesting wines and dishes!
I was there for my birthday dinner and they were so accommodating with my cake and provided candles and a birthday song.
Oh yes; they accommodated my very young niece(2m old) and nephew (2y/o) which I thought was so nice of them!
You definitely felt you were in Italy! Loved it 🥰

It was many a year since I visited Chili club and returned with good memories and high expectations and these were all met perfectly.
It's a small intimate location, with delicious food and good portion sizes that you feel satisfied at the end of the meal.
The staff were all very friendly and offered simple little suggestions such as if you like a bit of spice, add some chili flakes to this dish and it enhances the flavour.
Highly recommended location for Thai food

Don’t be fooled by the unassuming storefront. Once inside your eyes will inevitably catch the The Chocolate Block red wine while your nostrils expand to inhale all those lovely smells.

Went for the Thai Basil dish and it was well balanced, but maybe a tad on the safe side from a chili point of view (given the restaurant’s name). The starter shares were a perfect start to the meal. Lovely little place!

Hospitality was great. We wanted to come in for a few tapas and a glass of wine to escape the wine. The server was amazing and squeezed us in before the dinner rush. We had the patatas bravas (very good) and the Plato de chorizo. Highly stopping in here while in portobello!

Incredible Spanish spot 🇪🇸💃🏼
I found this place by surprise on google maps, I’ve been living in Ireland for 2 years and I didn’t know there was a place that could make me feel so much like home as this one.

The shop has everything you can imagine, from snacks and sweets, Spanish beers, canned products, cheese and jamón… to cleaning products from Spain!

This place has a coffee shop and upstairs a restaurant, where we had amazing tapas at a very good price . ( we recommend tortilla de patatas, huevos rotos and patatas bravas)

Highly recommended for shopping or tapas, will be coming back. Thanks 🙏🏻🇪🇸😊💃🏼

You must try their Croquetas! They are amazing… the place is cool has a coffee shop a small restaurant and a small groceries shop inside! Very cute! I really liked the cured meats/cheese board with jamon Serrano, Cecina, chorizo and a type of cheese. Unfortunately, and that’s a pity as I could really see the effort, the patatas bravas were not as I expected, they were a bit saggy to be honest. Also sangria I had the feeling was not really alcoholic. But definitely worth visiting and coming back!

Ireland's version of Spain. excellent for a unique take on the traditional aperitif. Both the platter of cold meats and cheeses and the assorted 8 croquettes plate come highly recommended. I don't think the patatas bravas and sangria are particularly good, but everyone has their own preferences. reasonable costs

What a great addition to Camden Street - I love the shop so this adds another great place - lovely welcome - menu nice and lots to choose - wine very nice we got nice red and white delighted with our choice and priced very good - food - good choice - we got - mixed croqueted 8 - delicious! Toasted chicken sambo - wow lovely - Gambis prawns lovely - and the mushrooms wow so nice - we be back for lunch and dinner !
Quiet and cozy ambience. Food was great, we ordered jackfruit sukka, chicken tikka, plain naan, coriander naan and paneer butter masala. Not that many restaurants have this much of vegetarian food. We HAVE to order a minimum of €20 per person and you gotta reserve a table, the way this information delivery by the manager was a bit harsh though. Could be more customer friendly.

Excellent coffee shop and amazing ambience 👍
I’ve been to Konkan a good few times and I think it’s one of the tastiest Indian restaurants in Dublin. I wish Google did half-star ratings because I reckon that Konkan is in between 4 and 5 ⭐️. Anyways… delicious food! 🤤 If you’re into Indian cuisine, definitely give this place a try. Lovely staff and it’s fairly close to the city centre as well. They have significantly upped their prices recently though, but I suppose many places have.
I have not been to Konkan in a long time. Maybe 6 or 7 years, maybe more. I remember it being ok but that's about it. I have seen the ranking and reviews which I found odd considering all the great indian restaurants in Dublin. My expectations were not high going to this place.

Fast forward to the end of the meal. All I can say is the hype is well founded. The meal was stunning, the staff were great and the atmosphere is good.

They were missing some items on the menu which I prefer I.e meat platter for 2. I was shocked it wasn't there but went with their veg platter for 1. Its was lovely.

The place is small but we'll worth a trip. I don't use these word too often but considering the location, it is a hidden gem.

Overall experience was great and I am looking forward to going back.
We were starving for food and we were suggested this place on the way home. We ordered their Special Camile Fried Rice with their Chicken. The rice came mixed with eggs and some thai sauce. The chicken was loaded with good veggies. Both were really good and flavourful. The ambience was good for a small space too. The packaging was also good for take away. I would say it's a try for those Thai lovers searching for one!

Cosy little place fitting about 25 people. Visited for a weekday lunch. Ordered the fish in red curry and chicken green curry. Food was delicious especially the crispy fish in the spicy curry and came in good quantity. Although we were the only table waiting, it took 40 min for our order...not very convenient for a workday lunch!
