Wish there were more animals but there were many reptiles it was cute for people who aren't afraid...(not for me)
The museum is big, very nice, interesting and well organized.
There is a Sukkah.
There is a parking (about 30 nis).
The same parking is also good for the botanical gardens.

A good natural history museum with many interactive areas, suitable for kids and adults. We started from the 3rd floor and it took about 2.5 hours to see everything. The only inconvenience is that the museum is pretty crowded - there was a 10 minutes queue already at 11AM on Saturday. And there is no ticket office there - buy tickets in advance at their site or you will have to do it with your mobile at the entrance. On the other hand it was still possible to find a free parking space nearby. Do recommend visiting if you like the nature. And do not miss the live insects exhibition on the ground floor!
An extraordinary experience. Supports 3 languages: Hebrew, English and Arabic. The exhibits are stunning, the staff are very helpful and can tell you a lot about the things shown on each floor. There are vending machines and a place to have a snack. A gift shop and a deck to enjoy the view. Adjacent to the botanical and zoological TA-UNI gardens (you can book a group tour). There are 4 accessible floors there, so consider visiting all of them. When you finish your tour on the 4th floor and an elevator down to the 0 level, have a look at the exhibit on your left (it's left of the gift shop and down some stairs, because there are live critters shown there, with interesting info on each one. Very much recommend.
My kids had the time of their lives! They loved the interaction with all the animals. Tour guides were excellent and very informative.

A wonderful visit. This museum had something for everybody. It was fascinating to learn about the relationship between Israel, the Torah and the natural world! Definitely recommend!
This nature museum has a variety of animals, the biggest of them is a brown syrian bear, which many years ago walked freely in the area. Most of these animals like birds or nocturnal animals you can't easily see in nature nor in the zoo, so it is important and interesting.
I want to emphasize that all the animals here were donated after they found their natural end and that all the employees care a lot about animals and the environment, and they gladly explain (only if you ask them) what we can do to help animals in our surroundings.
The museum explains the effects of plastic pollution and climate changes, it has a show room with living insects, and some nice interactive displays for the kids.
It is a bit small but surely worth a visit, I recommend you plan 2.5 hours more or less for this place.

I wish to go back for the visitors is so good it was so good the first time
On the one hand, the place is really neglected, the windows of the exhibits are broken and they fixed them with adhesive paper, the floor and the walls have seen better days, the exhibits are dusty and some of the explanations have fallen off, and the place is very, very old-fashioned, don't expect to get something similar to the Nature Museum in Tel Aviv, on the other hand, there are things that are very Interesting to see and the children did enjoy it, the most beautiful thing is actually the garden outside, there is a nursery, a sustainability garden, a kitchen and a few games for children and sculptures, I think you can enter the garden even without entering and paying at the museum, you should check it out. The building and the courtyard are beautiful and pleasant, but the museum is in a deplorable condition. The exhibits are mostly tattered and crumbling stuffed animals, and there are also some dioramas and other exhibits that are brought in sloppily and without thought. The staff are polite but not very helpful. Too bad😥😥👍
Very nice! Wonderful reception and staff in general are very friendly and helpful. If you're like us and like to read the explanation for the things you see in a Museum, you'd better spare about 3 hours to really look and interact with everything you'll find there. Attention that there are four floors of exhibition, and all of them are worth the visit. Tickets must be bought on the Museum website, and you can comfortably do it through your phone when you arrive there, seeing it's not a crowded place, so you don't need to buy it in advance. They have discounted prices for families. The Museum is interesting for people of all ages. The Souvenir store is a bit pricey, but you can find nice things there! We've bought "The Natural History Book - the ultimate visual guide to everything on Earth", which is a really awesome 664 real pictures totally illustrated + text book! Really recommend the visit!
Spend about two and a half hours with my 6 year old son and 2.5 year old daughter. My son really enjoyed our time at the museum, and he found everything to be very interesting. You can't drink or eat at the museum, but there's a balcony on the second floor where you can sit down to eat. Highly recommend!
A must visit. There are all the animals that you can encounter while reading the Word of God, the Bible.

This place hasn’t changed since the 80s, but can still be a fun and educational visit for children. Don’t expect to spend more than 20 minutes here

There are great exhibits, an informative tour (I took the tour in English and the guide was great) and interactive bits for adults and kids alike (hold a Burmese python, tarantula and much much more). For those a little more squirmish worry not, there are cuddlier things to hold / pet too!

Due to a family mess-up we arrived a minute late for our appointed tour. There was only one parking space left in the small museum parking area, but plenty of parking space on the street (but maybe not always? Moral: arrive with good time to park, if you'rearriving by car). There's a lift at the entrance level that takes you up to the museum, but no sign to suggest that actually everything takes place upstairs (incase, like me, you wandered around the entrance level to see where to check-in for the guided tour). The entrance houses a museum shop with cuddly animal toys, as well as Rabbi Slifkin's serious natural history Torah books. The museum's guides and volunteers were friendly, humorous and helpful. The museum has a pleasant lay-out with exhibits and explanations in Hebrew and English. Some exhibits may not be touched, others are very hands-on and a few have warning about potential bites... so read the signs or keep an eye on younger illiterate children. We enjoyed the explanatory video on entry to the tour. In all, a very pleasant and educational hour was had by our entire family.
This place used to be a jem when it hosted multiple cultural initiatives, but all of them were kicked out recently. The museum itself requires major renovation, the collections are old and not captivating at all. The garden surrounding the museum is pleasant though

Amazing place! So much work, research and resources went into making the information accessible to all. The tours was set up in different stages and you have to stay with the group so plan accordingly. It's not the type of museum you wander around by yourself. The guides and staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
Good place to take your children and learn about the man and the living kingdom.

The lake: is little but what interesting in it? Its hydroponic garden (that mean: the fish is eating food "doing" their job and this water goes to the garden), in the lake as i said there are koi fish and frogs.
The garden:the garden is the best place of this place! Its very beautiful, there are lots of places to sit and read a book!
The shop: i didn't bought here lots of things, but i know that there a mailbox that if you want to buy but nobody there you can put the money there and take the flower/bush/tree.

Although it was closed on the day my husband and I walked through this museum area there was much to see outdoors. There were several exhibits and learning areas. The grounds we're large and rustic a nice place to stroll in a lovely outdoor setting. Fascinating that this museum is nestled in the heart of the city close to the Community Center, First Station and many restaurants. Very much enjoyed our time there.

Great museum for kids and grandkids. It is more like a small natural history museum. It definitely needs much improvement. Many displays are very primatively done. I guess I am spoiled by the museums we have in Chicago.
The summer daycare activities are wonderful - pleasant and educational, for both of my boys (6 and 8 year olds). The activities of the "camp" are mostly outdoors, and that helps tire them out even further, which is pretty important to summertime parents!
The boys proudly presented the contents of the museum itself, which is housed in a huge villa of a style that was popular around the start of the 1900's. The displays are reminiscent of a bygone era, while showing touches of updates near the end of the 1980's. Those electronic updates vary in how well they work.
The older parts of the collection are amazing to modern eyes, though. There are many species on display, as expertly taxidermied specimens. My wife had a bit of a start when she finally noticed the huge warthog staring at her from the side of the doorway to the room she had just entered.
The boys really got a kick out of the two-headed calf on display, and of the dinosaur exhibit.
Overall, it was great to visit, but I would not have made it a destination trip. However, it's location is so close to the restaurants and shops on Emek Refaim (literally the next street over) that you can use it as a waypoint, and the parking lot as the start for the next part of a day's trip, or the wind-down to an evening meal.

Beautiful small garden full of fruit trees and vegetation. Very clean and taken care of. Very interesting displays of different ways to grow crop especially in a desert. A lot of shade, little ponds and comfy places to sit down and chill out or have a picnic.
Nice gardens, a little gem in Jerusalem. Interesting taxidermy collection. It may need a little renovation but that part of the charm
