It's a lovely place for kids to visit and feed the animals.
Beatiful zoo, animals being taken care of very nicely. Night camping is also very recommended , guided night and morning tour is an unique experience.
It is one of the best places to visit as a family or friends.. suitable for kids of all ages. It has all facilities needed, restrooms, setting space, play groud, snacks shops, and ice cream selling spots.

The place is huge, i read once that it is one of the largest zoos in the Middle East! It has a wide variety of wild animals and birds in addition to a kids' area where domesticated animals are found.

The signs read in English, Arabic and Hebrew.

I recommend purchasing the tickets ahead of going via the website. The process is pretty much easy, and u will get an e-ticket that they scan at the entrance. No more clerks for selling tickets. If you dont buy your ticket online, you will find a machine to purchase from located a few meters before the entrance spot.

There are plenty of parking spots (free of charge), but the place is almost always packed! So the earlier you go, the more assurance you find a spot to park.

Avoid going there in summer time, it's very hot! I would say the best time to go is Sep- Nov & Feb- Apr.

Enjoy your visit!
The Tisch Family Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem, popularly known as the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo, is a zoo located in the Malha neighborhood of Jerusalem. It is famous for its Afro-Asiatic collection of wildlife, many of which are described in the Hebrew Bible, as well as for its success in breeding endangered species.
It was my toddlers first visit to zoo and we all loved it and had a great day there. It took us around 4 hours to walk around it and we couldn’t even see it all. The small train inside is a nice option to get around but it would be better if you could hop on and off on more stops, specially when going with small children. It was super hot weather between 11am - 2pm. After that, some cool wind arrived.
For children and whole family this place is one of the good places to visit,Spend quality time together, we enjoyed there. But don't forget to bring a lot of water - hot weather, plus hats.
Plenty of beautiful and active animals, was a very entertaining trip.I bought single tickets at the door for 68 shekel. Highly recommended.
A great place with many animals that seems to be treated well, you will need to walk alot if you want to see Al of the animals , it contains many enclosures and alot of the information about the animals including habitat and diet , the staff are very friendly
We visited the Zoo park at the end of June. We saw a lot of animals so close, they are incteadible creatures.

It will be great if the Zoo will upgrade and make the bigger places for Chetah, elephant, and a few other types.
Most people don't travel to Jerusalem for the zoo or aquarium! Especially if you come the long and expensive way from the US that has the best and biggest zoos and aquariums (Los Angeles, San Diego). So, when my son asked me to take him, of course I was reluctant. But so glad I went! The zoo is relatively small but packed with super interesting animals from all places in the world. You are very close to the animals, and in some cases, in the enclosure with them! This was the case with the lemurs (King Julian from Madagascar). You literally go into their living space, and although you cannot touch them, you can just hang out and they will come to you and even try to look in your bag. And it is not like other zoos where you have a couple of each animal. They had a LOT of them, like dozens of kangaroos, many with babies in their pouches (we actually saw a couple of them stick their head out). There are 3 elephants that seem pretty happy unlike the one I saw a few years ago at the LA zoo, which made me not want to go to zoos.... The small mammal and "dark" habitats were great, and again, plenty of each animal and most of them were visible and active. HIGHLY recommend this zoo for anyone who wants to take a break from seeing all the historic sites. Also, you can get a combo ticket to the aquarium which is a short shuttle ride away, and also surprisingly really good.
Great zoo! Must visit if in Jerusalem with kids. It was my toddlers first visit to zoo and we all loved it and had a great day there. The small train inside is a nice option to get around but it would be better if you could hop on and off on more stops, specially when going with small children. The animals seemed content and well taken care off and they landscaping is well designed and maintained. Great conservational effort ! 🦒🐘🐐🦌🦓🦛🦩🦚🦜

Love this place. Have parking space, verity of animals. Well done.
What a fabulous place to find, right in the middle of Jerusalem. Wow. Such a lot to see. Stunning scenery and animals are obviously well looked after. It is a great place for families, and there is a train that takes you around the park/zoo . Thank you for a lovely day out. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Jerusalem Zoo very good place for the kids to come, plus it really good place to spend a full day with the kids and family

The petting zoo has rabbits and bunnies, but the kids cannot pet them.
The parakeet cage seemed cool, but the only operator was sick so it was closed.
The arts and crafts corner offers overpriced figurines to color, but all the brushes provided were dry and caked with old paint.

A fun experience for kids, affordable admission fee. Enjoy the turtles, birds, guinea pig petting corner, rabbits, emu and hanging out among the goats. An easy 1-3 hour activity for kids ages 1.5 to 7.
