"Nehru Science Centre is a fantastic place for everyone to learn about science. It has lots of interactive exhibits and shows about space and technology that are fun and easy to understand. There are many live example things which you can test about technology and human parts and evolution of humans and animals. It also has a mirror room which has different mirrors to click pictures in different patterns .The staff is friendly, and the center is well-kept with workshops and activities for families and schools.Also has an inside canteen for lunch. Whether you're curious about physics ,evolution or stars, this center makes learning exciting and accessible. It's a great place to visit and explore science in a hands-on way, perfect for sparking interest in both kids and adults."

We visited on a Saturday afternoon. The ticket line took us about 25 minutes to get through. The outdoor science activities were fun, but some were out of order. The science Odyssey show was in a large air conditioned hall and was very enjoyable. The show featured the salt water crocodiles of northern Australia. The main science center was spread over five sections, out of which one was the administrative section. The other four sections were multi floor science exhibits. These halls were non air conditioned and it was sweltering inside and oppressively humid. We had to get out of there minutes after walking in due to the heat. The only section that was air-conditioned was the aerospace section and it seemed like the newest section with almost all exhibits in near mint condition. There was a cafeteria inside that offered a variety of snacks and beverages. We spent about 3 hours in total and left at 6 pm, which was closing time.
Not well maintained. Some of the exhibit not working and need maintenance. In summer it's too hot. They should charge little more and should have air conditioning.

Huge collection of artefacts of the bygone era divided into utensils, musical instrument, items of day to day use, clothes, armour, swords, guns etc. Great to have some benches to relax and water dispensers to keep you hydrated in scorching heat as the museum is not air conditioned.

It was really a nice museum to visit. The security team is very polite. You have to keep your belongings at security and you can keep your phone with you. No videos allowed. You can take pictures. You get to see the evolution of currency, mint collection, and they have games for children. They have souvenirs, too at a price. Do visit when you are in the area. It's free knowledge!

Jorasanko Thakurbari is a historic mansion and is especially notable for being the birthplace of the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore and is now a museum dedicated to his life and works. The museum's exhibits provide cultural, historical, and artistic insights, showcasing paintings, photographs, and personal artifacts. Additionally, the mansion's architecture and regular cultural events enrich visitors' understanding of Bengali heritage and Tagore's enduring legacy. They do not allow photography inside the museum but yet they charge an amount of Rs 50 just for clicking outside building pictures which i find quite unreasonable.
The RBI Museum offers a comprehensive overview of the evolution of money, banking practices, and the central bank's role in India's economic development. Modern interactive displays and multimedia presentations help visitors understand the complexities of banking and financial systems. It takes around 2 - 3 hours to fully explore this place. Parking is not available here. There are no entry fees. You can visit this place free of cost.
The Raja Ram Mohan Roy Memorial Museum is dedicated to the memory of Raja Ram Mohan Roy, a prominent social reformer. The museum displays a variety of items including personal belongings, books, photographs, sketches, paintings, period furniture, and dioramas depicting historical events and Roy's contributions. There are additional charges for photography. However the whole place is not air conditioned. There are only ceiling fans for cross ventilation of air.
Today visited the museum. It is our history and we have respect whatever artefacts they have. However, with pain, want to mention that inside the museum it is very hot and the only one fan they have was also not working hence we have to left the museum early. It is shame on management as they collect Rs.20 person and don't want the history lovers to spend time inside the museum and to observe the antique objects.

Surprisingly well maintained and filled with interesting information all over. Learning how the money system works throughout history is something I never experienced before in such clarity. All the exhibits are well made and supported by enough written descriptions for ease of understanding for general people. Keep some time in your hand while visiting because there are plenty of things to see and explore
One of the best place to visit in Kolkata. You'll see the museum on the works and entire life of Rabindranath Tagore. The vibe of the place is very peaceful with the tune of Rabindra-sangeet in the background. You can purchase books here also. There are several rooms inside the museum. They have very good collection of the works of Tagore and everything is translated in English well.

This could have been a wonderful facility for students and adults to learn about science however, our ignorant public have turned it into a picnic spot. People visit it as a novelty and rough handling has broken many of the experiments.
If you are planning to visit, reach by 9:30 when it opens and cover all the science halls first before you visit any of the shows. They have dome theater, 3D, Simulator which are totally useless and low quality. Don't waste time and money there. The only show worth visiting is 'Science on a Sphere' which is about 20 mins.

Due to the fact that no pictures can be taken inside the museum, people usually tend to think that there will be nothing beyond some autobiographical elements from the life of the Tagore family members. Whereas, in reality, the way various types of interior designing has been done would surely surpass one casual visitor's expectation level. Undoubtedly a wonderful place to go for a weekend.
P.s. - For the museum lovers out there, go and check out the place with at least 2-3 hrs for visiting the entire place minutely.

A very nice and beautiful place. It is also a special place for the literature lovers who admire Rabindranath Thakur. This is the place where the poet was born and brought up. The garden and house is very beautiful.

The original office of the RBI, which started its operations in 1935 and has been turned into a museum for the public in 2019 is truly a "hidden gem" in Kolkata.... This museum contains intuitive placards, interactive game-sessions and other attractive hoardings to provide you information on the history of currencies in India, the evolution of Indian currency and banknotes, the present economic status and many other interesting topics.... This museum will truly surprise and amuse you with their intuitive ways of providing information....

A place where u can experience the personality and contribution of First Modern Man of India... It is a 200years old house, which was once own by Raja Rammohan Roy... Here you can explore many unknown photos and documents of Roy... There are well organized galleries which beautifully preserve the contribution of him.... The replica of the Death Mask of Raja Rammohan Roy is also preserved here..

Nice touch of modernity but it would have been nice to have more displays of old coins. Also the souvenir shop needs to be improved. Need to have the most popular fridge magnets of the moment. Of course there should be some coin shops to encourage those who collect coins.
This is where my mother studied and she worked as a museum guide there apart from being a student. It was mesmerizing.... Rabindranath Tagore means a lot to us Bangalis and that place is like the golden pages of the books of our favourite poet.. totally loved it..... 💙🩵
This is the ideal place to visit which is filled with Vintage Bengali aesthetics... The entry ticket costs Rs 20/ person. Mobile photography is allowed but not inside the museum, costs Rs 50/ device. It's a must visit for the students who are studying this area of History.

Once this place was Raja Rammohan Roy's house and now it's turned into a museum. This place is historically rich and will be a great place to visit for students. The staff were really polite. The entry fee is Rs 10/person and Rs 5/person if they are students. Photography is allowed inside the museum but there are charges Rs 50 (mobile photography) and Rs 100 (camera).
The museum is situated at "Shimla" house of Raja Rammohun Roy. There is no original object related to Rammohun. The galleries are created with fabricated object, diorama, copy of letters of Rammohun, panorama, model etc.

A cute little museum in the middle of the city dedicated to the great king Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Entry fee is just ₹10 and you can see all the exhibits in about 30 minutes. The well maintained lawns are a nice place for a family picnic.

What a collection of antique items. Three floors covering all types of articles. Timeline spread over last three hundred years. Washroom and elevator available. Parking is bit difficult. Better use local auto rikshaw.
A must visit museum and certainly an underrated one. Doesn't get that many visitors per day as it deserves. Beautifully organised and so much new information presented in an effective and efficient manner. Entry is free. No entry tickets required. Information is presented in the form of games. Open till 5pm.

Entry fee is 20 INR per person. Online payment is accepted. There are many historical artefacts inside, but not very well documented or displayed. Also renovations are necessary, which will make this museum of great historical value.

The place has a vast and varied information regarding the lineage of Peshwas and Maratha dynasty. It also has artefacts that were being used in the late medieval period. Also includes information regarding many people who contributed in nurturing the Maratha Confederacy. But the Museum is poorly maintained with lack of proper lighting and labelling.
This place has a 'dress code '. We were stopped at the gate because my husband and kid were wearing shorts while I was in Salwaar Kameez. We were told that if my kid and husband were wearing long trousers/pants, we would be given entrt.This 'rule' is not displayed anywhere. No such information available online as well. To go that far and be turned away for a non published rule, is a bummer. Not cool.
Spend up to 30-40 minutes indulged in history. Contains detailed write-ups, sculpture and room mockups and authentic items from the period. The entrance to the museum is somewhat hard to find.
Those who really want to know about Raja Rammohan Roy can visit this museum. This museum is very informative and collects all the data of that time when we can't achieve our own ideology,and religion isn't in its actual way.Also you can get the vibe of bonedi house .

Maharaja Ranjit Singh Panorama is a permanent visual documentation of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and it has been conceptualized and set up by National Council of Science Museums, an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The sprawling 4.5 acres of land in the historic Rambagh Heritage Garden at the heart of the holy city of Amritsar has been made available for developing the panorama by the Government of Punjab, whereas the entire cost of setting up of the panorama has been borne by the Government of India. An aesthetically designed tall cylindrical building surrounded with green garden near Summer Palace of Maharaja in the Rambagh Heritage Garden is now a landmark in the city of Amritsar.

Such a proud history to flaunt yet disappointing the way it is maintained (you can see in pics) I have deliberately taken few clicks inside museum just to bring into notice of some one who is in charge or taking care of this.
1. Ticket was not provided after giving money as the person was not having right chale to return back.
2. Weapons clothes and other precious items are not even dusted!!
3. No power back up provided even though there are two power generators!! People could barely read n see in low light.
4. English subtitles or translation would have been easier for people who visits outside Maharastra as it's a great history to be conveyed. [Suggestion]

I visited here randomly but this place deserves a lot appreciation for preserving history of Sikh Maharaja through amazing statues and paintings. Every Punjabi should visit here once to see the glory of Sikh empire. Whoever made this, deserves a huge respect.

Mind blown by the gurudwara visit the other day I decided to visit other places in the city. Out of the very few places to visit in this city I came across Maharaja Ranjit Singhs Panorama.
It's a small place , museum alike well maintained.
They charged us rs 10 ticket to get in and we saw the whole history of Raja's life starting from his birth, to his wars and strategic conquers , marriage and eventual death before sitting on the golden thrown.
It was a great places, sculptured really well along with noise of horses and war alike setup.
Reminded me of how war movies are shot.

Maharshi Karve was a mighty social reformer who championed the cause of child widows and the general status of suppressed Indian women in the society. The Karve memorial and museum has three main halls that narrate his life and his great contribution to the education and freedom of Indian women. The history of the dynamic Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha (MKSSS), the activists and social workers, who were his associates in ups and downs of his endeavors as an educationist, is displayed here. Nice view of Pune City. Sunrise 😺 & sunset 🌇 are worth watching from Parvati. Temples, smarak & museum are worth visiting.
Very nice small museum on Parvati. As these has mamy articles in compact place, authorities must start auto guide process with help of technology. It is possible very easily & now available at many place in India. This will help visitors & specially young generation to know about many old articles & different things easily. Overall wel maintained museum. Entry ticket is ₹ 20
Definitely a much clear, wonderful view of the Pune city from the hilltop which actually is a treat to watch for the visitors. Good place for nature photography lovers.
This place is located in karve nagar on karve road Near karve sikshan sansthan . This is easy to reach place by bus or own vehicle. This museum has made in memory of Bharat Ratna Mahrshi Karve, who empowered women's education in India mostly in Maharashtra. Here is maharshi karve sikshan sansthan is famous for women education. This place is historical, best place to know about Maharshi karve and old education to modern reformation in India. Everyone is helping and co operative

A historic place with amazing atmosphere in the evening and the morning. A perfect place to get refreshed. A nice place for photography and nature lovers. At the top of the hill lies Parvati temple. You get a great view of Pune from the top of the Tekdi. The place is worth a visit. There is also a museum at the back of the temple. People with disabilities might find it difficult to reach at the top as there are approx. 103 steep stairs. The temple is almost open throughout the day from 6 in the morning till 8 in the evening. Try to use stairs in the dark as there is a well if you go by trek.
It was great pleasure to visit the museum. You will get to know everything about Maharshi Dhondo Keshav Karve alias Anna. All the information displayed in the museum simply reflects Maharshi Karve's dedicated work for women's education and their empowerment. The museum divided into 3 wings to showcase their social Reformation. The best thing I like was they have also shown the happenings around the world at the same time of his era. You will see Bharatratna, Padmvibhushan awards honoured to Anna. Besides of this Meghdambari is there and it place where Anna and his wife were cremated. The Map of India is there outside the museum. It was one of great visits after coming Pune.
Amazing place everyone should visit here much I like the way they maintain, their cleanliness and the lights arranged cool love to be here again and again. Staff is very good they allowed us to take image along with hot personalities and ya you can't click the image personally of any monuments strictly avoidable. They maintain very silence ,people love to take selfie. Lastly I would like to give credit to the great person behind who made so perfect it's look so real not wax .
Nice place but get a good taxi because I ahd the worst experience in India this time with taxi drives. So my advice is get a good English understanding driver because some are realy rude
Great place to chill. So many famous people statute are here. It is well maintained but need to have more humane statute for a more real look. Overall great effort by promoters
This place is on parvati hills on a good height from city. This museum has 10 rupees entry fee and if u have interest in history then yes you must visit. This museum has everything like palki, utensils, swords, clothes and many more.

Amazing 😍 i had a really good time with my family. Tickets were around 300rs per person which first sounds expensive but when you enter the museum you'll feel your money is well spent. I wouldn't say it's madame tussaud level real but it's quite at that level. They even give you to take photographs for no extra cost. Bala saheb thackeray statue is there but you can't really get up close to him. Gandhi looks fake. Rest all are good. My favorite was that security guy when you turn right for the first time. I was amazed how real it looked.
Nice place. I felt like Madam Tussauds of India. Number of statues is not a big, hardly about 15. Overall a good place for the photography lovers. You can have photos with celebrities.
Decent place to go as its unique place for most. Some of the statues do not fully resemble the personality. Photographers should not pressurize for paid photos. Entry fee Rs 400 on weekend and Rs 300 on weekday
Good fun.. BUT if ur have gone to the others around the world.. You tend to compare and also a little upset that there were more foreigners than Indians as the way statues

They are surprisingly life-like. Don't go by their location and thinking that it'll bad just because it's in a mall in Ghatkopar.
